I watched this yesterday. Long time ago i used to watch some of the portuguese soaps at night, but after tdt came to spain i couldn't watch portuguese chanels anymore.
But now i can do it again, and yesterday i was checking the channels and find this storyline.
I always loved the actor. I watched him in a lot of soaps and i always find him extremely cute. I only watched the last part of the episode so i was not sure his character was gay.
It's going to be a lot of drama, because his friend is not exactly gay friendly, and he is not going to react well after know what he did

Not that I know of. As of right now I don't know any portuguese actors that are gay. There are maybe a few but I don't know. There was someone who is gay but got killed in New York on vacation. It's quite curious, i think in countries like Spain or Portugal (both with legal same sex marriage) its way unusual for actors to come out of the closet. Maybe it's a cultural thing, because there are probably a good bunch of actors who are totally out for their coleagues. Maybe it's because the market is small. Anyway, sometimes they are out and you even not realize, last year i checked the most influence gays in spain (a top 50 every year the journal El Mundo publish) and i find an argentinian actor well known for his television roles and he was out for years (he is even married to a spanish actor) and i have no idea. Portugal is even a smaller market, i remember almost all the actor in O beijo do Escorpiao even when i didn't watch portuguese tv for a bunch of years, so coming out is a difficult choice |

Well it's pretty clear that they'll go there in the future. Paulo's comandant is a womanizer and clearly homophobic, i doubt he will react well to the news.
The show is in its 50 episode so there's so much to tell with this story.
Anyway i'm liking all the show, not that i understand that much because i only watched one episode a month ago or so (i didn't even know there were gay characters)

After a couple of days off (he was traveling) Paulo will be on the show again tonight making a confession (not to hard to guess what confession) to his sister.
As far as i watched i think Paulo is semicloseted. His sister knows but i think she is the only one (his brother has no idea)

Well in the video Paulo explains to his sister that Miguel is different from his other hook ups because he is in love with him for years, and he knows Miguel won't react well if he knows he is gay

I'm totally addicted to this show right now. It's very soapy and entertainning wit the a big bad villain and and evil schemer causing trouble everywhere. Even it has a disturbing storyline about a man harassing a teen girl on internet (and wich is more disturbing is that she hates being manipulated by him but loves the money he gives to her).
Miguel continue to have dreams about the night he slept with Paulo, and Paulo refuses to tell him the truth. First because he knows he is going to react pretty bad and second because he fears to lose his job (it seems their boss is very homophobic).
His sister tells him that it will be better for him to tell the truth to Miguel before he reminds everything, and that he can't refuse to aknowlege who he is for fear to lose his job

Well, i didn't watched that episodes, but as far as i know nobody really knows why Leo commited suicide. Paulo said that he was clear with Leo, that he didn't love him and that he thought Leo didn't love him that much to do such thing. It seems that Paulo thinks it was because a bad reaction to their break up but it's not that clear (curiously the episode when Paulo and Miguel slept was the first one i really watched on tv, i caught glimpses of the show before but nothing more than a couple of minutes).
If i watch that episodes (i'm not a sucker for sad storylines) i will translate it

Paulo will be again in tonight's episode. He was absent due his job in last two.
I hope they don't drag the storyline too much, i hope they move on, because for me it's pretty clear that Miguel is not the womanizer he pretends to be (the theory of you being able to sleep with anyone when you are drunk never was believable for me).
I recognize that the kidnap of Andre was a big surprise, i wasn't expecting something like that at all

Now that the kidnapping storyline seem close to a resolution i hope they advance with Paulo's story. It's pretty clear Miguel is not going to react well, i think he wouldn't react well even if they didn't have sex, because Miguel is nothing more than a charming neardenthal.
I don't know how they are going to resolve the fact that they have sex. I never believe in people changing sexual orientation just because they are drunk, but Miguel is pretty much described as a womanizer.
Anyway, it will be months of drama for sure
