ohceegee, thanks for all the info!! And where can I find CC from Telemundo? I have seen only weekly (15 min) video with subs from them so far. Well if your TV gives you the CC3 option then that's it. On your TELEVISION you need to go to the settings and have that option, not on your cable/satelite provider. Hope this helps  |

Ugh.. sorry, I just have to complain about the YT comments.. firstly, people say Diego is ugly? I don't think so at all! I think he's hot! Maybe not as hot as Mauricio or Sebastian, but those two are the best looking guys (well.. of the students), in the entire soap! I think Diego is good looking, he's hotter than lets say Maximo and Gonzalo. I think Diego will grow hotter (if that makes sense) when he softens up a bit. Now he's rude and obnoxious, typical straight jock behavior. I think that's why people don't like him, but anyway.. this is just my opinion I do think those hoping for Alejandro and Sebastian will only end up disappointed though, it's pretty clear that Sebastian is straight, both from what we've seen on screen and from the spoilers. Sebastian is Julio, Alejandro's straight but supportive friend, with emphasis on straight. He will support Alejandro, and be there for him, he obviously cares about him, but only as a friend. The attraction is purely a one way street, Alejandro wants Sebastian, he wants him so bad that he makes stuff up in his head, or at least infer something that really isn't there.. like he truly believes that Sebastian is in love with him, not because he is.. just because he wants to, he looks for ANY sign and whatever fits he just goes with and concludes that he really is in love with him! lol. It's kinda cute and adorable, but he'll only end up hurt in the end. I feel so bad for him, you just know it will happen, and that's exactly why I'm glad he'll eventually find love somewhere else.. Anyway.. I looove this storyline so far, and I might be in the minority, but I actually PREFER a friendship between Sebastian and Alejandro, it is too cliché to just go for a relationship between them, it would be too easy, and not realistic imo... Alejandro's first crush is gay and they'll be together? that would not be good tv at all, it doesn't happen like that in real life. Most of your first crushes end up straight, and going through that is part of being gay, and being able to handle rejection, because not everyone in the world are gay, the fewest people are, and when it comes to Sebastian.. he is straight, he has not given any indication otherwise, it says so in the spoilers too, so I think hoping for something between them will only end up making you disappointed in the end. Back to the point I was trying to make.. I don't think we see enough friendships between straight and gay guys on tv, a strong friendship between Sebastian and Alejandro will be amazing to watch, both amazing and refreshing, and make for some really good tv. The thing I liked the most about the original FOQ was the friendship between Julio and Fer. It wouldn't be the same if they were lovers, I actually think their bond was too strong, they cared about each other, and it's why they always supported each other as friends. I don't know if I make much sense, it's kinda hard to explain... I don't want Sebastian and Alejandro to end up together, but I still LOVE the innocence of Alejandro, and him truly believing something is there when it truly isn't. I have loved all of his scenes so far, him realizing he's gay and on the road to coming to terms with his sexuality. I think it's extremely well done, even better than I expected, so yes.. I am very happy with the storyline so far, I am definitely addicted, and I can't wait to see the rest! ;D |

My goodness, I could just melt in Sebastian's arms forever... His eyes... Okay enough on the lusting over hotties. But this is turning into a really good show. Granted I had my doubts, but it's actually good! I agree, I am proud of how they have handled this storyline so far. It's extremely realistic and well done imo, much better than expected for sure! I just have to warn you though.. please don't hope for Sebastian and Alejandro to end up together, it won't happen. Sebastian is straight, and his friend, that's all. I do love their friendship though, and I have a feeling I'll love Sebastian standing up for Alejandro and supporting him in future episodes!  I mean.. I have to say that I am encouraged by the scenes with Alex and Sebastian. It is a good indicator of how they will treat Alex and Diego. Alex's dream was hot,erotic,and sexy. And that was just a dream he had of Sebastian. When Alex gets a proper love scene with Diego or someone else it will be handled well. Although it still won't be in the same way they do the straight ones. Unless TPTB really surprise us and not give a crap of any homophobic etc backlash they might receive.
On a lighter note..could Marina and Mauricio have less chemistry? The actress is beautiful and Mauricio is smoking hot, but together...Nothing. The dialogue they have them say doesn't help them.

OMG.. I can't believe Alejandro told Sebastian he was in love with him in the last episode! I think Sebastian handled it well though. He's obviously a great guy! I wish more straight guys were like him, I mean, you can still support and be there for your friend even if he is gay and you're straight, their friendship is amazing, and it's about time we see such a strong friendship on tv! I also liked the conversation Alejandro had with Nora (yay! I finally got her name right ), it was very emotional but also very realistic, well done! This soap keeps on surprising me, it is better than I ever imagined, they're doing a great job with the gay storyline imo. The writers deserve kudos because I have never seen a gay storyline being handled so well, and so realistically, in a telenovela before.. just wow! I am loving every minute of it Sure, it's kinda clichéd, and I mean, it is basically coming out 101, we've all seen this type of storyline before, but who cares as long as it is done well, right? I think it's really good, and I can't wait to see the next episode! ;D jazz73: I agree, it was encouraging to see that scene, and I think they will handle Ale & Diego's relationship well.. I have been impressed with them so far, so they better not let me down! lol. I never expect to see full on gay sex scenes on tv.. in European soaps? maybe. In American soaps? Hell no. Gay sex is never treated the same as straight or even lesbian sex on tv, I am used to it. I am not deluded, I know we won't get a full on gay sex scene, but I never expected that either. I am happy as long as they get to kiss and show some affection, we have come a long way if they just show that imo.. though I wouldn't say no to a sex scene either of course, I just don't think it'll happen, or even if it does they will probably cut it pretty soon before they get going so to speak.. but yeah, as I said, I never expect full on gay sex scenes anyway, because I know the chance of that happening is slim. I don't care though.. I'm sure we'll get some PDA and kissing, and honestly, that's enough for now, showing kisses at least makes the relationship seem realistic. I know they won't show anything near as graphic as the straight sex scenes, but well.. as long as we get to see some affection and kissing.. then I'm happy. I guess we just have to wait and see what happens  |

I have to say that I was greatly surprised by this telenovela : it really is waaaaay better than what I thought it'd be. I like the fact that Alejandro is a type of gay guy that it's not seen too often in gay story-lines: sensible, vulnerable, not butch at all The other character that I love is, of course, Sebastian: so supportive... and HOT[/b]!  Now the shallow side note: I don't remember having watched another soap opera with soooo many beautiful people  ; the boys, the girls, and even the teachers! are truly good looking/hot . (Another good reason to keep tuning in   ) |

Ugh. I'm sorry, but I just HAVE to rant. People are still hoping for Ale & Seb on YT. Sorry to break it to them, but it's NOT GONNA HAPPEN! Better get over it right away or they'll just end up disappointed. Sebastian is STRAIGHT, being a supportive friend doesn't have to mean that he's secretly gay too, but a lot of people seem to make that assumption. So.. a guy can't support a friend now without being gay? Whatever. I am glad they go the friendship route with them, so they can enlighten people, because it's obvious that some people just don't get it.
It's going to be Diego and Alejandro, it's a done deal. The spoilers say so, and most of the soap has already been filmed, it would be near to impossible to change the direction now. Either get with the pairing or stop complaining.. if people don't like what they see they can always tune out. I know people will probably come around when Diego enters the picture, it was like this with the original FOQ too... people wanted Julio and Fer together, but it didn't happen, just like it ain't happening here. Though people really enjoyed Julio as Fer's friend after David joined the picture, and David became extremely popular, and people seemed to love David and Fer together. I'm hoping the same will happen here. People are going to annoy me until then though. They keep talking about Seb & Ale over and over and over again.. it's incredibly annoying!

I apologize if I came across that way, sometimes it's hard to write a good comment because English is my second language.. anyway, I did mean what I wrote though, Sebastian is Alejandro's friend, they will always remain friends but nothing more. It's obvious that Sebastian is Julio, the straight but supportive friend. It says so in the character description and it's already filmed. It's a done deal. They won't change the direction now, it's too late for that. Besides, why would they? this is a really good storyline. We don't often see strong friendships like this on tv. I know I'm in the minority but I prefer them as friends. Besides.. we'll get a lot of juicy stuff coming up with Alejandro, he'll find that certain someone, so I'm not worried about that at all. This was more meant towards everyone saying Seb & Ale will end up together, more of a general comment towards those people. I really didn't meant to be rude to you, I hope you understand. And yeah.. haven't we all had that crush? I am bisexual and I had a crush on my straight best friend in high school, but I got over it, just like Alejandro will get over his crush on Sebastian. I am sure he'll get over it if a new guy (hint hint) catches his eyes instead ;D And this is also why I think this storyline is incredibly realistic. I just hope they give Ale a boyfriend soon. He's so lonely  |

I agree on the whole A&S friendship. Sebastian seems like such a good friend and hopefully people will see how it's normal to be friends with a gay guy. Diego it's such a douche so I just ignore him. I'm just waiting for the "special gay episode" where Alex comes out.

I do have very strong opinions though, so sometimes people think that I'm just being rude, but anyway.. glad we cleared that up I agree that the soap is overtly dramatic, and that the writing isn't the best, same with the acting.. but I honestly don't think it's that bad. I've definitely seen much, much worse. I didn't even notice the bad acting until someone mentioned it, and even then I didn't think it was that bad, but I'll just say this... this is basically from a comment I read on YT: the actors are new in the business, they were all picked from a talent search by those behind the telenovela. I'm sure they'll get better after they become more comfortable, both with the acting aspect in itself but also with the character they portray. Also.. I know it's overtly dramatic and over the top, but I think that's what makes it so much fun! I looooove telenovelas, I have always loved them. They're such a guilty pleasure. Also.. the campiness of it all is part of the fun! ;D I agree that Ale is lonely and should totally find a special someone, but I'm sure he will soon enough I can't wait to see Sebastian stand by his side and support him when he comes out to his parents though, I think it'll be great to watch! It's so weird, but the main storyline is almost always the most boring one, while the smaller b-storylines are much more intriguing. At least that's my opinion after having watched a few telenovelas I do disagree with killing off Mauricio though, he's hot eye candy if nothing else.. I enjoy watching him, and I could watch him all day long even in the most boring storyline I think the friendship between Ale and Sebastian is soo amazing, so strong and it's refreshing to see such a strong friendship between a gay guy and a straight guy. We don't see that often enough on tv imo.. it's always gay panic from the straight guys on all the tv shows, it's tiresome. But this is exactly why I just want them to remain friends. Plus, I'm sure Alejandro needs a friend who is there for him when he comes out too About Diego.. the way he's ALWAYS talking about Alejandro, it's almost like he's obsessed with him! He comes across as trying a bit TOO HARD to hate him and make fun of him, it's obvious he's hiding something about himself, and I think we'll only see it more clearly as the time passes. I think this storyline has a lot of potential, and I just hope the writers don't mess it up. |

Miranda thought the roses were from Mauricio, she threw them away to teach him a lesson. Presumably Diego left those roses on her doorstep).

But my guess is that they are trying to portray him as an impossible love and that he is "dumb" enough to do all those things he's already done. I mean this soap is somewhat different then the on'es I've watched in Telemundo.... And about the latino Immigrent. That might be a stereotype or a huge generelazation because I myself am latino and I live in a town with many latinos. My current town and the one i grew up with had theirgood amount of liatinos. And i can tell you for sure that we always say Ms/Ms/Mrs,/Mr (Last name) unless the teacher tells us otherwise. And the only teacher I've ever had that told us to call he by her first name so happens to be white! So idk where you got that info, but i have seriously never heard that before. Maybe you're confusing it with Don/Doña (First name) and Señora/Señora/Señorita (First or last name). That's the only way I can understant your point. And in Spanish we alsay say Maestro/a Profesor/a (Last name) unless teacher says otherwise. So maybe you meant TEACHERS tell their latino students to call them by their first names (?). Idk. And sorry if it looks like I offended you, but I just wanted to make sure you said what you wrote to not get others thinking like that. |

I just found this storyline today and I LOVE it!!!!! I can't wait to see where it goes. And I so hope we see Ale smiling at the end and not with a giant red stain on this shirt crying with the love of his life watching on sobbing and greif stricken, as predassesor had. And why oh why can the full episodes not be online with English subtitles. I know about 10 in Espanol, and most of them are naughty ;-) Anywho, thanks for all the video links and awesome posts all! |

I wonder, since it's moving so fast compared to the Spanish version, will this end in a few months? FoQ was on for years, and they already went through most of season 1, or at least Fer in season 1.
I don't want to spoil anyone on any upcoming storylines, but since Diego is already there. It's safe to say they're skipping most of season 2's Fer. David in FoQ didn't show up until the middle of season 3.
I'm just going to be sad when this show's over. Not many telenovelas last very long...
