Dun!Dun!Dunnn! Diego appeared! Christ, but he's a dick. Guess there goes our David [Considering David did not care when Fer told him he was not into girls.] Anyway, so far, so good. He really came out of nowhere, too. Not an exchange student or anything, just late. Sebastian is probably the greatest character ever, at the moment. You'll see what I mean when you watch episode 6.

I knew Diego would be a dick. I mean.. he came across as such a womanizer in the promo. Are we sure that he's bisexual though, and are we sure he'll hook up with our Alejandro? Honestly.. I think that even though he might not be the perfect guy for Alejandro, he might learn something from Diego, and Diego might learn something from Alejandro, if that makes sense.. if the character description is true then we'll be witnessing Diego coming to terms with being bisexual and falling in love with Alejandro, I think that will soften up his character a bit, when he has to deal with it. And when it comes to Alejandro.. I think he can learn to be more confident from Diego, because right now he's kinda shy, if that makes sense.. lol! But wow.. I can't wait to watch this episode, it sounds awesome! ;D I hope you can give us a summary of what's going on, deadlysmile! I loved your other recaps! They were great

Anthony Langford has uploaded scenes from the latest episode, with both Alejandro and Diego (and English subtitles, yay!)
My observations: - Yep, Diego's a dick. He's got a fair bit of character progression to endure before he can start making out with Alejandro. - Speaking of ... oh Alex. Could you be more obvious? I'm sure Seb has a nice tush (not that we know, since that was presumably too risque for the censors, damn them!) but if you want to remain closeted, you really shouldn't stare at it for such a prolonged period of time with a smile on your face. - Yay for Sebastian, sticking up for Alex instead of being skeeved out. I foresee he will be my favourite character on this show just like his Spanish counterpart Julio before him. - Maximo, you're a dick too, but thank you for giving us some naked side action. As if Diego hasn't got enough to be ashamed of, he wasn't so obliging!

As if Diego hasn't got enough to be ashamed of, he wasn't so obliging! LOL Alejandro is too funny. He's trying to hide being gay, but I swear he's like, the gayest of the gay. Every time a naked male body appears, he just completely ogles it. And it's not just a quick look; he's practically drooling. I think it's because everyone around him is so slutty and they're all having so much sex, but he can't give into his urges out of fear. And he clearly has urges XD. He's too cute!!! As for Diego, yeah, he's a dickhead. But he's just made his first appearance, and I'm sure he'll evolve, especially since they plan on putting them together. Lots of people are assholes when they first show up; Brian Kinney (always an asshole), Craig from Hollyoaks was a dickhead FOREVER (until he moved) after him and John Paul hooked up, Christian from VL too, even sweet Edwin acted like a dick at one point! Everyone is capable of redemption. Diego is clearly just overcompensating, and he's using Alejandro as a target because he's smaller and weaker. It's a pride thing. A lot of guys do it. Hopefully he smartens up a bit, though. Right now, he's a douchebag. Also have to add that I LOOOOOVE Sebastian. His protectiveness and looking out for Alejandro are absolutely adorable, just like Julio before him. Hearing that he's going to be supportive of his coming out makes me love him anymore. He's my favorite so far. I don't think he's that cute, but I can see why Alej likes staring at his wet, half-naked body though. Also: "My hormones are like those of a cat." LOL Yeah, OKAY BUDDY . Whatever helps you sleep at night

YAAAY! Thank you SOOOO much to Anthony for posting this storyline! And thanks to justinate for posting the video here People on Youtube are saying it's a cliche that the homophobic jock is really just a closet case, but I don't see it like that AT ALL. As we know by now, Diego is not supposed to be gay, but bisexual. It says that he was attracted to girls UNTIL he met Alejandro and discovered he was bisexual, this way it's actually not such a cliche after all. I think this storyline has a lot of potential, and hopefully they'll show the gay kisses! This is moving so fast though.. the shower scene has already happened and someone has already said to Ale that he's gay, but I guess it does follow the original story, because the shower scene was early in FOQ too, right? in the first season? Whatever, I won't complain, the change of pace is welcome after having watched Will on Days use almost a year now to come out, and he hasn't even kissed a guy! So yeah.. it's nice to see a storyline that moves a little bit faster for a change Anyway.. I actually like the fact that Diego is an ahole, it just makes it even better for me that Alejandro will affect him SO much that he'll fall for him. He seems extremely cold, but I find it really interesting that Alejandro can warm up his heart, and that he'll become nicer after falling for Alejandro.. aww, I can picture it already ;D Opposites attract and all that, I think Alejandro is cute and Diego is hot (though an asshole too), so they can be a nice couple, I think Diego will soften up a bit after he realizes that he's bisexual, but I have a feeling they will have the relationship on the downlow at first. There's no way a macho guy like Diego will come out right away, but again.. this fits with the original FOQ, where David and Fer first had a secret relationship, and David did everything to hide the fact that they were a couple, and that he was gay. So yeah.. I think this storyline has a lot of potential, so many hot guys and I think Ale and Diego can be good together.. totally opposites, but that's what makes it so much fun! I can't wait to see the next episode! ETA: I was sad that they cut out showing his ass though They showed the ass of Mauricio in the first episode, so I guess justinate was right, that they used it just as a way to gain viewers, and then being more careful after they have the viewers hooked. Way to go producers! ugh :S But anyway.. we probably won't see more nekkid butts, but at least they show a lot of the guys shirtless, and we they have already shown a gay kiss (well.. sorta), so I won't complain too much. If they continue to show shirtless guys AND gay kisses, then I'm happy, though I wouldn't complain if they showed some naked butts either ;D

Whatever, I won't complain, the change of pace is welcome after having watched Will on Days use almost a year now to come out, and he hasn't even kissed a guy! So yeah.. it's nice to see a storyline that moves a little bit faster for a change I think the key difference is that this show is on every weekday whereas FOQ was once a week. Given both have hour-long episodes (which surprised me - I'd assumed telenovelas were half-hour long), within one week RP can catch up with five episodes of FOQ - which is pretty much when the original shower scene occurred. So it's pretty much hour-for-hour at this point, no faster or slower than the original. I'm also glad for this pacing because glacial pacing (like DOOL's) really kills me. It's interesting that they have introduced David's counterpart already, so there will be differences that will keep the stories fresh, otherwise it would just be yet another retelling of the same old. I'm calling it now. Diego does something totally mean to Ale and then he sees poor Ale sobbing ever so cutely, which makes his heart grow three sizes. In that moment, Diego goes from wanting to beat him up to wanting to eat him up. Actually, this latest episode rebuilt my hopes somewhat; both Maximo and Gonzalo were clearly naked although we only saw their bare hips. To be honest, they never really gave us a clear shot of Mauricio's butt or Gonzalo's in the pilot, presumably for fear of offending the censors. I think they are willing to push the boundaries as far as they dare without being slapped with a fine for airing indecent content. They have maintained a reasonably high shirtless/underwear quotient too (Mauricio looks damned fine in his briefs and someone in production obviously agrees since they keep replaying that scene every day in the opening credits). Maybe the reason they didn't give us a butt-shot of Sebastian was because they couldn't figure out how to obscure it just enough to get past the censors. Either that or the actor playing Seb wasn't as comfortable going fully nude as his fellow hunks. Seriously! Boy has no subtlety whatsoever! The only person less subtle is Mauricio over "Miss Miranda" (ETA: Is it common for American high school students to call their teachers by their first name? I noticed they also called the PE teacher "Mr. JP". I thought that was purely for preschoolers.) Hah. He must have forgotten he said that once he was in the showers with all those naked studs.

Who wouldn't? He's too sweet for words. I can't wait for more episodes. People are complaining about the acting, but I'm used to bad acting on soaps. This one doesn't particularly bother me. Alejandro has very expressive eyes .

Take the telenovela for what it is, good campy fun, and try to forget about the acting is my advise to them, but it's funny though.. people complain about the acting over and over and over again.. like, if you think it's so bad then why don't you stop watching? Nobody is forcing you to watch! Ugh.. I guess people like this annoys me Besides.. I don't really think the acting is that bad, I mean.. it's not Oscar worthy for sure, but I've definitely seen worse. It doesn't bother me at all. I didn't even notice the "bad" acting until someone said it, but again.. I don't think it's that bad, I was never bothered about it in the first place anyway, soo..

Yeah, I really don`t know what people were expecting. You really just have to take the show for what it is, which is, as you said, good, campy fun, with a lot of drama. That doesn`t mean you can`t become emotionally invested in a storyline. Every American soap (except DOOL) has a cast of mostly shitty actors, yet people still can barely wait to see what happens next. Nobody in the cast is really outstanding, but most are at least passable. In fact, I went in expecting terrible acting and it didn`t even end up being as bad as I thought it`d be.

What I have to say about soap acting is that they have to put more effort in. Especially the ones that run for an hour five days a week. It's not like they have as much times as actors in movies or even in TV series that run once a week, if not like twice a month or so. Plus soaps are not trying to target the audience that judges them every second. They are mostly meant for older ppl that don't care so much about the acting but about a "corny" storyline.

Like soaps, these shows call for a certain 'style' of acting you won't see in other genres or mediums. I think the acting's fine. I've seen much worse on other Telemundo productions. BTW, Alejandro and Sebastian did have a very small scene together at the start of the show (and I mean small, like less than a minute), but they didn't appear in the rest of the episode. So I'm going to wait and see if there's something in tonight's show before uploading what was on last night.

Anthony, if you're talking about episode 7, I've just been skimming through it and I saw at least one more scene of Ale and Seb (and also Diego) in the last segment of the episode. Besides, surely the early scenes are pretty significant to the overall A/S story? (Hint: it involves both boys half-naked in bed together. I did rather think the changes to this scene from the original made Ale a bit of a creepster until it turned out to be a dream).

I've watched the last two segments from last night show twice and there is no such scene unless it happened so fast I blinked and missed it.
Anyway, I think you might be referring to the Episode 7 online, which doesn't air until tonight on television. I guess they are able to post them a day ahead or something.

Okay, thanks for the clarification, Anthony. I'm confused about the airdates though: does this show not air every weekday? So if it started last Tuesday, today (Thursday) should be Ep. 8? Anyhow, the episode I watched online this morning (which was labelled as Ep. 7) had quite significant scenes of the gay storyline throughout the episode.

OMG.. that scene at the beginning of the episode with Ale and Seb.. the hug after Ale cried in the shower.. I nearly died! How cute wasn't that? I just went "aww" I watched the much talked about scene, (highlight to read) the actual bed scene.. and OMG OMG OMG! DAMN that was amazing! I fucking loved it.. I am sooo addicted to this soap now, it keeps surprising me in a good way, the scenes are just so incredibly good and it just gets better and better! that bed scene was.. wow! The portrayal of the gay character so far has actually been very good and quite realistic imo. OK, I'm sorry, but I can't hide my excitement.. it was just SO GOOD! This is the first gay storyline that has hold my attention in like 3 years or something.. I still like Days, but I'm not as addicted as I once was, but with this? Hell yeah! I'm addicted.. I looove it ETA: forget everything I said about the episodes.. I apologize for being such an idiot

Again, as I've already stated, these scenes haven't aired yet on television so the channel has not messed up. They will be on tonight's on show on television, which will be posted subtitled shortly after the show has aired. I do hope this makes things clear.

Again, I apologize and I appreciate all the hard work you put into this, Anthony. I am very grateful for the videos and it's great that they're subtitled as well ;D

Hi everyone! Please tell me where do you watch subtitled clips.
I remember some talks before the show actually aired that subtitles should be provided by Telemundo. Is it the case? Or there are some youtube channels with fan subs?

Hi everyone! Please tell me where do you watch subtitled clips. I remember some talks before the show actually aired that subtitles should be provided by Telemundo. Is it the case? Or there are some youtube channels with fan subs? Well someone is uploading them. his name is Omar. He is up to date. and has uploaded every scene that Alejandro's in. Anthony Langaford has uploaded two videos but with the close captioning from TV. So you can only imagine how they look. And yes Telemundo does provide CC, but they are more like formal talk and the annoying black strips. I leave you here the videos from AleRP01's (Omar) Channel.
