Yay! Thanks for the info; we were only one day off with the 23rd Jan date. Now if only they would fix the official website - all those tabs for Photos, Videos, Characters, etc. are still reading muy pronto when the premiere is less than two weeks away! No problem  I got the info from Kevin on Twitter.. you know, the guy who plays Alejandro. I usually use google translate to translate his tweets, lol! I can't wait for the premiere! And yeah.. they really should fix the website. It's really annoying that nothing is working! But oh well.. they will probably notice it sooner or later. People will probably start to complain if they can't access the episodes online when they start to air. Or at least I hope so! |

They've got a behind-the-scenes featurette in English up on Youtube. Kevin talks a bit about his character, but the Alejandro/Sebastian scene that's shown is the same one we've seen in the trailer, only now we understand how the girl suspects Alejandro's sexuality: she spots Alejandro drooling over Sebastian's wet, half-naked body as he gets out of the pool.
I'm so excited for the show right now!! Yes, Kevin, I will watch it.

Thanks for posting that clip, Justinate! It's nice to see you're getting the hang of posting embedded videos too!  I am sooo excited for this storyline. Sebastian is incredibly hot, and so is Alejandro! I can't wait to see their storyline! And yes.. Sebastian will probably end up as his Julio, not as his David. I think they'll be friends, but I love strong friendships between gay and straight characters, it's something we don't see often enough imo. I loved Fer and Julio's friendship in the original FOQ. I am very excited to see it all play out! Don't get me wrong.. I would love for Ale to get a boyfriend, I just don't think the guy will be Sebastian, and a part of me kinda don't want it to be, I want them to be good friends instead, if that makes sense Anyway.. only 11 more days now. I'm counting down for sure. It's the only gay storyline I've been excited about since I first heard about Days last year. Days hasn't been bad per se, just not really good either. I guess I just hope this storyline won't let me down |

OK, so there's two new promos up on YT. Well.. not new per se, just longer versions of the promos aired, but they're kinda interesting, because you get a better look at what's going on.
Alejandro lusting over Sebastian:
Diego handing out condoms (I included this because he might be a bisexual character. I don't know if it's intentional or not. He may just be handing out condoms, but it certainly looked like he handed out condoms to the people he wanted to have sex with, because he was definitely flirting. As I said.. it may not be intentional, maybe he just comes across as he's flirting.. maybe it's just bad acting, who knows.. I'm adding this anyway, because he might be bisexual).

He confirmed that he will be in some sort of relationship with a guy in the show, so maybe Sebastian is Julio.
And this guy could be David.
Also:
Around 0:53, the guy confesses he does not like girls. I either think that guy got replaced, or he will be another gay character in the series.

They also confirmed in facebook video chat that they do ACTUALLY kiss in this soap opera, which is a lot from Telemundo. Since, I do believe, they never had a gay couple kiss on Television.
The first episode was available for 24 hours and I saw it, it looks good. No spoilers, but it doesn't seem to follow FoQ plot completely, which is good because I don't want Alejandro to, you know, die in this Novela.

The first episode was available for 24 hours and I saw it, it looks good. No spoilers, but it doesn't seem to follow FoQ plot completely, which is good because I don't want Alejandro to, you know, die in this Novela. Actually, there has been gay kissing on this channel before, two novelas had gay kisses a couple of years ago, so this will NOT be the first time (although it was done horribly, with minimal PDA and kissing, so I do hope they do it differently/better this time!) It was available?!?! And I didn't know about it?  Oh well.. only a few days left now anyway I do agree with you though that I'm glad it's different from FOQ, so hopefully he won't die in this one! |

Although the situation with gay characters is getting better, their PDA is not even out with the straight couples. Hopefully, this novela will be different. I basically agree with everything you say here. They need to portray gay couples as straight couples, with the kissing and sex that involves.. actually, I'm happy as long as they show kissing and PDA, I'm not too demanding.. sex is great but not necessary, kissing on the other hand.. that they definitely should show! I think (hope) this soap will be different because of two things: one, it airs at 10 pm, so it's pretty late.. they can avoid too much of a backlash, because it's late and only teenagers and adults are awake at that hour, kids have gone to bed, so they can show a little bit more. Two, it's supposed to be racy and controversial, an I hope this includes the gay character(s) too, that they at least get to show some affection! I am still not holding my breath, even though I certainly hope it will be different this time. Hmm.. only thing to do is just to wait and see I guess. I will definitely complain if we don't see any kissing or affection after a while though! But I hope it won't come to that, someone else said we would get gay kissing, so I'm crossing my fingers for sure! And yes.. too many gay characters die. They ALWAYS kill off the gay characters, and it sucks Just last year two of my fave gay characters was killed.. Lionel and Jinks. I hated it! I really, really hope they won't kill Alejandro off, but since this is only a loose adaption of the original FOQ, they don't have to follow FOQ entirely, and I hope they avoid two things: Fer turning straight again by hooking up with Yoli (no words about that season, trying to forget it.. my god that was HORRIBLE), and I also hope they avoid killing Fer (well.. Alejandro in RP). |

OK.. I just saw the first episode, it was actually quite good! Better than expected! The protagonista storyline was the most boring one though, as usual.. and Ale had ONE line during the entire episode But at least I liked the little we got to see of him.. damn, he's sooo cute and adorable! He was the PERFECT choice to play gay imo. I hope we get to see more of him as the novela moves along though... because one line per episode is not nearly enough! I gotta say though.. there's lots of eye candy in RP. Mauricio is hot as hell, and I think Sebastian is quite sexy too. More than enough reasons to watch in other words! ;D |

[Unless they do that for every episode, then we'll have a problem .] I was kind of looking for Diego throughout the episode, but I'm assuming he'll appear soon enough. [Not in the last five episodes of the Novela, hopefully.] I also hope that some of the episodes, they will ignore the main pairing for awhile, and focus on the students and the stories with them. Otherwise, this Novela will not be fun for me. I can only hope they will put as much effort on the students as the main pairing. I found Alejandro quite adorable! At least this Novela is full of beautiful people, which makes it much entertaining! |

I've been keeping up with the developments of the telenovela since it's annoucement in late May and I can say I am pretty satisfied. Like a previous post said, it's not an exact copy but a different version. I also found some character bios and videos on tumblr. My only complaint is how focused it seems to be on the teacher who almost got raped and Mauricio.
For the people who didn't like Fer dying: I always seem to read that people believe the character was killed of for no reason. The reason is that the actor had decided to leave the show and the writers ended his character in such a tragic way.
Also, I'm pretty sure Diego will be in the mix soon. The show's facebook page has some behind the scene photos that show him filming with Sebastian and some of the other cast.

I just saw the last episode, and yay.. Alejandro finally got something to do! Actually, he played an important part since he was the one who overheard the bad guys in the bathroom and found out they were the ones who gave Rodrigo the drugs. He told Sebastian. It seems like this is kinda the same as the original FOQ, where Fer fell in love with Julio's brother... Alejandro looked devastated, he even had a pic of Rodrigo in his locker at school!

My goodness, I forgot how badly dramatic telenovelas are. They remind me of Filipino soaps, where it's overacted and over-dramatic. Fortunately, everyone on the show is overly attractive. I like what I'm watching, but the whole lying with Rodrigo on the car scene in the second episode was kinda creepy...

Ok, I'm trying to remember all the guy's names. And make sense of what happened the night of the party. Sebastian saw Gonzalo(?) give his brother some pills. And found him and Osvaldo(?) in thebathroom about to take them. So later they hook up with Gonzalo and get high. Where apparently shirts come off and something happens that Gonzalo records on Rodrigo's phone. Is it too much to hope that they had a threesome?At least Rodrigo and Osvaldo did something that had them putting on their shirts the next morning and refusing to talk about it. Until Rodrigo remembered the phone and decided to kill himself. But when the left and got in the car, why was Alejandro there? Whose place were they at? And then in the second up.. the picture in the locker. And no one knows he's gay at this point? Which leads into the shallow portion of the post. They went from telling everyone about the suicide to everyone naked in the lockerooms. Heh. But at least they are showing male bodies as much as the female cast. In that first ep alone I admires Gonzalo though he's evil, in and OUT of the tub. And Mauricio in various states of undress. Iam not familiar with rhe actor but DAMN that boy's body is insane. I am assuming he is at least 18, if not then Miranda and I are both lusting after jailbait. And who was the guy who gave Gonzalo(?) thw money for the party. He's another gorgeous one. And that's not even mentioning the two teachers. Eye candy galore with this one. |

I don't think telenovelas are that bad if you're used to them. Besides.. you wouldn't complain if you have watched Indian soaps.. I watched that gay storyline from India, and damn.. it was a million timers worse than a telenovela! It was crazy.. they could just stand there for two minutes looking shocked at what one of the characters had done. And the music?!?! OMG.. no comment on the music on that Indian soap. I appreciate telenovelas much more after watching that. Over the top doesn't even begin to describe that horrible thing! Trust me when I say this.. telenovelas are really not that bad. It is kinda over the top, but it's not too bad.. I actually think it's kinda cute! lol And yeah.. the scene with Sebastian and Rodrigo was creepy, but very powerful. I think this telenovela will actually try to go for the shock value, hence the late airtime. This also gives me hope for some gay PDA and gay kissing I agree about the eye candy. I think Sebastian is really hot, and so is Mauricio. Alejandro is really cute, although I had no idea he was so short! He looks tiny compared to the other guys, but maybe they're just tall? Maybe he isn't as short as he looks? Who knows.. I still think he's cute though, and I like what I've seen from the soap so far. I can't wait to see what happens next! ;D PS: the protagonista storyline still bores me to tears.. the only thing making me endure it is Mauricio, since he's so hot! Yes.. I'm shallow  |

Agreed about all the eye candy! all the guys are so hot ;D About Alejandro.. didn't he listen in on Gonzalo and the guys in the bathroom and that's how he overheard them about the drug thing? I think it's kinda hard to follow it, since I don't speak Spanish, and I only manage to pick up a few words here and there, but it looked like Alejandro found out something in the bathroom, and Gonzalo and his other buddies were there, so I just assumed it was about the drugs. I may be wrong though. |

I think there was some action between Rodrigo, Osvaldo and Gonzalo because of the video and the hickey on Gonzalo. Leonardo was also the guy who gave Gonzalo the money in school the next day. |

kingsrave- The hickey! I had completely forgotten about that. When Leo Max (heh) pointed it out he didn't know he had it. Interesting. So I guess Rodrigo or Osvaldo or both sucked on his neck....among other things. So wasted or not they apparently got really into it. Actually to me Rodrigo and Osvaldo seemed more like a couple or maybe it was more Rodrigo's reaction the morning after. Osvaldo kept repeating "What did we do? over and over. And when Rodrigo wants to talk about it he refuses.

Fortunately, I speak Spanish. Yes, Osvaldo [to be perfectly honest with you, I don't know if that's his actual name] and Rodrigo got baked and Gustavo did record them doing something. Osvaldo probably remembered what they did last night, and got pissed at Rodrigo. He punched him, lost control of the car, and what not. Anyway, Maximo and Gustavo were speaking about how Gustavo gave Osvaldo and Rodrigo drugs. Alejandro overheard them, and at the end of the episode, told Sebastian. I DISLIKE the main storyline. It's so dramatic, you either want to do the guy, or you don't. Just don't say it's over, and then you kiss him at the end of the episode. Also, if you care so much about your career as a teacher, DON'T BE STUPID. D: Even if all the guys (and girls) are pretty good looking, I prefer Alejandro and his awesome human puppy dog eyes. If some of you don't understand the storyline, I guess I can give you a brief summary after every episode |
