I think it's a question of get used to the accent, my knowlege of english is limited (the way we studied english here in spain is in most cases a complete faliure) and i learn the little i know 5 or 6 years ago. I remember having some problems with Hollyoaks during the McDean era, and i understand better american english, but in this case i think i need to be more focused when i watch the show, because the medical language will be a problem, but i think i will be able to overcome that, becaue the story is really interesting

As for the medical phrases some I get others just go over my head so I don't worry about that too much the story is the thing.

So many TV-shows are very cut out and predictable (not talking gay-storylines specifically), but I feel like this one is different, it's not easy to figure out exactly what every one is thinking. I don't know what Dan feels, if he really is gay, if he is bi, if he already realized, if Malick brought the realization, if it is was a one-time thing, how he feels about Malick, is it only physical, is Chrissie only a beard etc. It's interesting. I am on the edge of my seat to have all the questions answered.
And we have no idea where it will all lead. I agree as most here has said, that it seems unlikely that Malick and Dan would get together (now, anyway, you never know what might happen way down the line), but maybe Dan will start something somewhere else. Perhaps not a relationship anytime soon, but maybe he'll do something unexpected, a one night stand or something, which could make an interesting story line.
I don't think Dan feels anything deep towards Malick, but suddenly he was forced to work closely with an attractive out-gay man, (he might have deliberately avoided situations like that previously) and it just culminated in that heated moment. Dan seems so restrained to me (haven't watched the show, so it might not be accurate), he is so "according to the book", if you know what I mean. Whereas Malick is a badass, he does what he does because he wants to, not because it's the proper thing to do, and he doesn't need to conform to others views. So I really do think Dan despises him, but is also, perhaps, jealous.

I didn't like this week's episode regarding the Malick character. Generally he cares a great deal about his patients, but this week they made him seem hard and cold.

Did you watch the same episode as i did? Malick was very compassionate with his patient, he even gave up the opportunity to advance his career for that patient. Seriously i'm baffled by your comment, i don't understand at all....

He really went the extra mile for his patient with mental health issues (who realistically he wasn't equipped to deal with) which is something that not a lot of doctors would have done. Trust me had this been the character Jac's patient she would have palmed William off and not looked back because according to her, her career comes first and her patients second.

The writers for the show say that this would not be a coming out story for Dan. Make of that what you will. Overall, the show is about medical staff at different stages of their career and it doesn't focus on their outside lives much at all. Most of the conflicts are related to stuff happening in the hospital. I think folks were just prepared for there to be a love story between Dan and Malick because of the kiss. By Malick could just as easily get a new love interest having nothing to do with Dan. I just can't see Malick doing that to Chrissie and he hardly knows Dan and doesn't like him so it would take a LONG time for him to care enough about Dan to be willing to hurt Chrissie or mess up his position at the hospital. Personally, I'd be happy to have the show just focus on Malick and have his love life have nothing to do with Dan.

I, agree HQ75. I've got to say, that I enjoyed the last three clips, because they were focused only on Malick and his storyline at the hospital and how he's in his job. It's just not about him being an attractive and hot gay doctor and I especially liked that we didn't get another scene of violence considered to be some sort of foreplay between him and Dan.

Thanks for posting that link, Kevvoi. The ONLY way that I can find ANY sort of understanding for Dan and his turmoil is when the show stopa having him be incompetent in his job and letting his personal hangups have an effect on what he does inside the hospital. He (or his patients) have had to be saved by Malick or Chrissy way too many times for me to have sympathy or even like Dan.

Jimmy Akingbola (Malick) received a 2012 National Television Awards nomination for Best Newcomer and Guy Henry (Hanssen) for Best Drama Performance, Male. Akingbola's category includes actors and actresses. Ceremony will be held at London's O2 arena in January.

What happened to this show? There hasn't been any clips posted in weeks. Malick and Dan were both on today. I'm sure that Anthony will post the clips on YT any time soon. If you want to know what going to happen in the future you can always check Digital Spy and the BBC website for spoilers. I think links were posted on this tread a will ago.

Thanks. I just thought the show was cancelled or something. Had no idea they just haven't been on. No, the show has been on for years but sometimes not all characters are on every week, or nothing interesting happens. So then you might not get an upload for a month.
