I do agree but I find Dan cute I also like that both these guys are confident although Dan is hiding I loved last weeks episode when the patient worked out that Dan was gay. As for Chrissie I reserve judgement Malick went out of his way to get her that spot in the operation and she ended up in the cupboard with Dan. She needs to show Dan that she is serious at the moment she is letting him walk all over her, she is definitely in awe of him.
I found out yesterday on This Morning that she and Sascha are a popular couple that have never really gotten together although they have a child and people are apparently hoping they will get together at some point.

I love Dan and Malick's chemistry and strong sexual tension. But I don't want Malick to lower himself to begin a relationship with Dan. Dan has behaved so badly and I sometimes think he needs a good kick in the rear. Maybe after Dan has improved and started acting like a man who knows himself and doesn't take his problems out on other people. Maybe it will work between them once Dan stops acting like a boy and starts acting like a man.

I'm not finding either of these 2 guys very attractive personality wise. Malick struts around like a little shirtless peacock dripping with contempt for Dan and Dan is a dangerous, reckless closet case. I can see why they might both like each other then with their crazy ass personalities.....

Do you think it's become a "soap opera staple" that writers continue to write coming out or denial storylines, with gay men being violent with one another, because of one of them is denying their sexual attraction towards the other? |

I really think folks should go back to January episodes and watch the clips with Malick before Dan arrived (he was there for almost 2 months) because it gives you a better sense of his overall personality. He's a lot more layers than one would think. I think Dan just pushes his buttons because Dan is so self-righteou and pompous and constantly insulting Malick yet he's a liar and a bad doctor and puts his patients as risk all the time. I can't see Malick ever having anything but pity for Dan (if that). I'm really surprise folks on YT particularly seem to assume that Malick and Dan will fall for each other. I can't see why Malick would find anything about Dan appealing. I can barely understand why Chrissie like him. I guess anything COULD happen but I think it would take a long time coming. Like Chrissie working her way towards Sasha (which would make me SQUEEE). I think it would be a year at least before Dan could become a human being. He has not one redeeming feature (which is find, I mean Jac is utterly repugnant but she's an interesting character, he's not even interesting). The think is, Malick treats his colleagues with respect and his patients with a lot of warmth and care. He may strut but he backs up his talk with being a fabulous doctor and a good friend (to Chrissie). He was amazing with Oliver and Frieda as well. So I have a lot of love for Malick outside of whether or not he and Dan ever become friends (or anything more) I also find his relationship with the older Black doctor fascinating and I'd love to see them have more scenes together. As a stand-alone gay character Malick just rocks (for me) even his flaws are inter sting the the continually peeling onion of his past is exciting to think about. I hope that hint at his private life means we'll get to see him with some special friends (as my granny calls them).  |

I agree with HQ75 and think that people should go back and watch the episodes before this storyline with Dan. They definitely have chemistry, i can't dispute that but boy is there tension there and it's not all sexual either, in fact, most of it is down to contempt as they clash so much personality wise. They both see life in completely different ways even down to the way that they approach being doctors, and unless something drastic changes it isn't gonna happen. |

Like explaining to Hawk that he screwed up, telling him that Malick spotted it, only for the Director of Surgery to walk past and congratulate him. Who wouldn't take the credit? Malick loves getting under Dan's skin. If he was so indifferent, if he was so unimpressed, he'd just leave him alone and let him get on with his life whatever way he wants, without gloating all the time. Saying he cares about Chrissie, about her getting hurt, might be true, but it's clearly just an excuse to rile Dan up all the more. Because he likes him. He hates that he likes him, because I'm fairly sure Dan is everything he thought he hated throughout med school. The silver spoon, the easy connections, the rah! of upper middle class life But he does. And he can't stand it. Hence why he's just as over sensitive about every little thing as Dan is. That fight in the toilets was a massive overreaction. On both their parts. |

Agreed all those scenes with Dan and Malik have to be going somewhere it would be silly if all that happens is just the two of them arguing. Obviously something is going to happen with them but I don't think it will be a fluffy love story. But I am trying not to second guess this storyline. I think as much as he says he hates it I think that Dan does admire Malik and is drawn to him but as that is the side of himself he is repressing it comes out in anger, maybe that will be explored more. Still interested in this story and looking forward to next week. |

I found it very interesting that
during the second locker room
run-in, after Malick pushes Dan
into the locker he asked Dan if
he was expecting a kiss, and that
he's kissed "straight" men before.
I bet Dan wanted a kiss and was
probably jealous when Malick said
he's kissed others.
And this week, Dan managed to act jealous
and condescending at the same time when
he talked about the GPS and sweaty men.
Malick loves to taunt him and Dan loves to initiate
punching. It's their mating dance. Eventually,
it will evolve into mating, I believe.
