It was a pleasant surprise to see them in the trailer.
Funny how this is the third WilSon pairing in the shower. They had Chandler and Freddie, then Guy and Freddie, and now Chandler and Zach.
I wonder if Will might appear in Salem to help his sister Allie with her same-sex attraction. She is obviously more into Chanel than she is into poor Tripp. Jeez, just cut him a break already, Allie. You wrongly accused him of rape, came close to shooting his balls off, and now you're leading him on.

I caught parts of today's episode which was specially inserted into the regular episodes to set up the storylines of Beyond Salem. Chad called Sonny to congratulate him on the success of his IPO and asked if he could visit him and Will in Phoenix for the weekend. I posted Daily Spoilers for the Beyond Salem episodes next week here: gaydaytime.proboards.com/post/383455Will and Sonny are mentioned (directly or indirectly) in the first 4. It seems like a sizable story, but I have to say the marketing department runs hot and cold on them. The cast photo must be photoshopped to put everyone together - because the dimensions of everyone look off. Chandler frankly looks tiny in that image.

Is it true Sonny is played by a new actor? Yes, Sonny is being played by a new actor his name is Zach Tinker. Freddie Smith announced on his and his wife's podcast that he would never return to Days cause his interest lie elsewhere also Freddie and his wife don't live in Los Angeles (where Days is tapped) they now live in Orlando Florida. Zach used to play on The Young and the Restless as Fenmore Baldwin, but he hasn't been on the show in over a year now almost 2 years. Zach was only supposed to be playing Sonny on the limited series Beyond Salem which aired on Peacock. But there are rumors and I stress these are just rumors nothing has been confirmed that both Zach and Chandler (Will) could be returning to the main show on NBC sometime next year. |

A Very Salem Christmas:
The framing device of Will writing a screenplay sounds like he will just be the narrator, and the action takes place entirely in Salem (to which the title alludes). There is supposed to be more casting news coming, beyond Chandler and Eileen Davidson who plays Kristen, so we may yet get Zach Tinker (nuSonny) onboard, but if I'm honest, my hopes are pretty low.

I have the feeling WilSon will take a backseat to the goings-on in Salem, but it's true that absence makes the heart grow fonder with them being the only remaining gay couple on US daytime (barely).

Both Chandler and Zach did an interview today talking about a Salem Christmas and Zach was asked could Wilson be returning to Days? Zach said there is a chance that Wilson could be returning to Days!

I was just told from a follower on Twitter that Will & Sonny will make an appearance on NBC Days in June 2022 as of right now it's only for a visit so I don't know how many episodes they will actually be in. Both, Zach and Chandler have filmed their scenes already.

The new spoiler video narrated by Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera) suggests that WilSon will reappear on the main show soon after Days returns from its Olympics break (next Monday). Are they promoting a return that won't air until June four months ahead? Or are WilSon just guests for now and recurring from June?
Also, what do people think they're asking of Chad - to seduce Leo? It's been speculated that Leo is Craig Wesley's secret lover and that Craig's elder daughter Chloe's boyfriend Brady asks WilSon to help dig up dirt on Leo. I feel it's a bit of a stretch for Brady to call his cousin and step-nephew all the way from Arizona to deal with something like this, especially when he has another cousin already in town, Xander, who could play the same role. And unlike Chad, Xander isn't married, and Leo's crush on him is longstanding. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled to see WilSon back but I would rather it be for their own story.

That lines up since Days is back to filming 6 months ahead (that's a problem for another day) so if they started in September, that does work out to February. December though would be June. Either way I'm excited to see the boys back onscreen, although I'm disappointed that they are only on recurring. |

Wilson could start airing next week when Days return after the Olympics but from what I was told that more than likely their scenes won't start airing until March. I'm bummed that their also recurring, but the reasoning behind that is (according to the rumor mill) Chandler lives in Atlanta now and has a job there and has no interest in moving back to Los Angeles full time. I really don't know what he does all I know is he works 3 days a week there and from his home. But, Chandler did agree to come back to Days if they would allow him to be on recurring and they agreed. |
