Looks like it may kick off next week with Sonny coming to town.

Freddie Smith (ex-Marco Salazar, 90210) joins the cast of Days of our Lives on Thursday, June 23, 2011 as Sonny Kiriakis, one of Justin and Adrienne's sons.

Ok. Completely independent from why your boyfriend isn't putting out. Who the hell goes to his great grandmother to talk about it?! Granted Caroline got freaky with Victor a while back but that's still wrong.

I haven't watched the show in a long time and starting again for this storyline. Who is this Kinsey chick? Is she an actual character or just a dayplayer to push for Gabi/Will sexytimes? And KINSEY? Really? Was that a hint from the writers?

Sonny sounds interesting from Freddie's description. I'm assuming he's out, at least to Justin and Adrienne. Victor's reaction should be good.

Based on the interview, either:
A) Freddie is lying (because the showrunners haven't authorized him for that information);
or
B) He really doesn't know because there have been no scenes between him and Chandler (or any other actor) that they've had to play as romantic.

Given the "slowing down" of the s/l, the latter is still a possibility.

Freddie knows his character is gay and that he will be hooked up with someone. He may not know officially yet who he's going to be kissing soon. However, I think it's unlikely he hasn't heard rumors.

Remember... Sonny's first day is thursday 6/23/11 .... Sonny is suppose to be out from the start.

Nice interview. Sounds like Sonny is going to be a cool guy. I really like that he's already out and cool with himself.

I liked Wally Kurth's interview and I'm so glad that Justin and Adrienne are totally cool with their son's sexuality. It is indeed refreshing that Sonny does not need to go through the coming-out drama with his parents. I am interested to see how Uncle Victor reacts. In recent years he's had his own family but in the '80s, he was all up in Justin's business because he's Victor's only nephew. Victor even went so far as to drug Justin so that he'd be impotent and couldn't father a child with Adrienne, of whose lower social status Victor disapproved. Jackson is J&A's only biological child together, so it'll be interesting to see Victor's reaction. I hope they mention whether Sonny's three older brothers accept him.

I saw the interviews with Freddie, Wally and Judi about the new story and I'm so glad that Justin and Adrienne already know and there's no issues about his being gay. I also chuckled when Wally said that whoever Sonny gets involved with will be a member of an important family on the show. Ya think?

Days Cafe has put up a recap of tomorrow's episode, here are the Will/Sonny bits:

- At the pub, Gabi and Will are clad in very blue grad gowns and caps, ready for the big day. Gabi is excited her mom will be attending. She tells Kinsey and T. All of a sudden, Dario calls. Oh no! Her mom was putting curtains up when she fell from a stepladder and broke her leg. No mom
at graduation! Will points out her brothers will still be there. Dario, yes, but who knows about Rafe. Caroline assures her Rafe remembers and mentions Sami. Kinsey makes a joke about Sami having Will when she was around 11 years old. Will shuts her up.
- Abigail runs into Sonny Kiriaikis at the pier and gives him a hug. "I missed you!" Will comes along with Gabi and they stare at the pair. Gabi excuses herself to call her mom at the hospital. Abigail introduces her cousin Sonny to Will. His parents are Justin and Adrienne Kiriakis. His real name is Jackson, his school nickname Sonny. He is glad to meet Will and grins. Will bashfully grins back. Abigail explains she is dating Will's best friend. Will smiles again. Abigail later sits on a bench with Sonny, who has done all kinds of exciting things. She exclaims he is living her dream life! He hopes her boyfriend Chad is good enough for her. She explains he is, as he is smart, funny, good looking, and they are in sync. Sonny thinks they sound perfect. "Even if he is a DiMera," adds Abigail. He is shocked and assumes her mom is freaking out. Indeed. Abigail points out being a Kiriakis didn't ruin Sonny, so Chad should be able to handle being a DiMera ...
- Kinsey, T, and Gabi are at the pub, talking about the recent graduation rehearsal. Gabi gets mad at Kinsey when she complains about money and gets madder when Kinsey teases she knows why Gabi is cranky. She and Will have not slept together! Caroline listens nearby. Enter Will. Gabi wants a kiss. Will does not want to smooch in front of people, but Gabi grabs and kisses him anyway. She is about to be very disappointed ...
- At the pub, Will pulls away from Gabi. She states she wants them to go somewhere they can be alone. Will stammers he needs to check up on his mom and takes off. Caroline steps forward and tells Gabi she is sorry her mom cannot make graduation. She offers to talk to her about her other problem and promises to be discreet.They sit at a table with coffee. Gabi explains sometimes she feels that Will is not into her. Caroline thinks he is. Gabi calls herself insecure and gets upset she made a fool of herself in front of everyone. Caroline explains they are just young. Will needed to grow up very fast, as Sami had two more babies after him. He is probably being cautious to avoid such a situation for them. Gabi realizes he just does not want to make the same mistakes his mom did. She emotionally thanks Caroline for making her understand. Enter Will. "Understand what?" Once they are alone, he wonders what she was discussing with his great-grandmother. He is dismayed to hear that Gabi confided she feared he was not into her. Gabi explains she understands he does not want to rush things, due to what happened with his own folks. She dramatically declares she does not want him to change anything for her ...
- Justin and Adrienne are kissing at the empty Cheatin Heart. Their son Sonny arrives and they are thrilled to see him earlier than expected! He was walking around for a little while in Salem and tells them he ran into Abigail. He is especially looking forward to seeing Uncle Victor. Silence. Sonny asks what is wrong, though he clearly knows what it is! Sonny deduces that Justin and Adrienne do not want him to see Victor as they have not yet told him about him. He is disappointed ...

LOL. I totally thought the part about, "they haven't told him (Victor) about him (Sonny) meant that Victor didn't know of his birth (existence). My initial reaction was "WTF?! How could Victor NOT know about Adrienne and Justin's son. Been a long day.

LOL! That's funny. I laughed about the part where Gabi's mom can't make it to the graduation cause she broke her leg hanging curtains. Really? That's the excuse DAYS comes up with? LOL

They had some flimsy excuse why she couldn't come see Gabi when she was in the hospital either. They could have just had it happen off screen, you know?

Sonny and Will meet for the first time tomorrow (thursday), Sonny's first day.

Reading the summery of tomorrow's show the suspense is killing me i want to see the episode.All the grinning and smiling between them.

I wouldn't expect too much out of today's episode. It's their first meeting. I think we will see a little spark, possibly, but nothing more. It's not going to last but a few minutes at the most.

Preview video of todays show did not include WilSon (but I like "WillY" better) together or them individually.

Reports are they retooled the gay storyline, so it's going to go slower than they originally wanted to go. I haven't decided whether or not that's good. LOL

Hopefully they will take their time and make it into a good storyline. I really hope Marlena shows her support to Will since she is going to be dropping in at some point, but she may be gone by the time he comes out. Who knows with the new writers and new direction. Can we rename the couple "Silly," because "Willy" and "Wilson" remind me of Dennis the Menace and a man's anatomy, lol.

Im so excited.. the guys are really cute and the story seems interesting.. Im glad a new SL is starting Sonny and Will make a really goog couple maybe it will take a lot of time, but think we'll enjoy it
