Why is Will and Paul debating about whether Will should get his memory back, what is there to debate? Why are they writing Sonny as such a tool, Leo needs to disappear already, this storyline is such a bust. The writing for this show has been dismal to say the least and it’s not just Sonny and Will the others stories are just as bad to me.

He NEEDS to remember HIS famliy and friend and DAUGHTER. It's not up to Paul.

I don't think it's going to be a "debate" where they argue over it. I'm sure both Will and Paul are going to have concerns regarding Will's memories coming back. By the sounds of the spoilers that were released it's probably some sort of "cure" or process Will has to undergo in order to return them. So I'm sure both will have hesitations regarding this, as it could have more negatives than positives for Will. As far as I'm concerned, Will is doing fine without his memories the only issue I would have is Arianna.
I can understand Will just continuing with a fresh start since he didn't seem too excited over being "Will Horton" back in November/December. There is a lot of baggage that comes with him remembering. I think having him decide not to restore them for now and perhaps continuing being the person he is currently is a great beat to play. I'm sure at some point he'll get them back, but for now he is doing fine. Sami isn't back until August and is still filming, Ron will definitely keep him without his memories until she returns for a bit. The Fall sweeps will likely be the John/Marlena wedding. I'm assuming November would be the right time for Will to regain his memories; but they could drag it out even longer. I'm just predicting it will happen just before Ali wraps up (and she's still filming as of yesterday and Christopher had a big day on set).

^^what kind of baggage are you talking about? Will needs to get his memory back and let the chips fall where they may. He needs to remember his family from the beginning to now, the good and the bad, he’s not some fragile egg that needs lifting up. If getting his memory back and he decides to stay with paul since he’s the greatest thing since slide bread then do be it. If he wants Sonny back then so be it. Either way he needs to remember. This is taking too long and this story is too tiresome and boring. I can’t stand Paul so if he gets hurt and his big ole heart broken that’s his problem for getting involved with no memory Will in the first place he should have known better. Sonny can’t get hurt again since he’s moving on from Will.

Sonny can’t get hurt again since he’s moving on from Will. I’m just repeating what Will said, that being “Will Horton” comes with a lot of baggage. You can interpret that a lot of ways, his complicated relationship with Sami, the drama this new life has brought into his current life etc. I don’t think he won’t get his memories back, just that it won’t happen anytime soon since I’m sure Ron will want Sami on the canvas for that. I don’t think it’s boring, if WilSon is meant to happen then them falling in love again would make the most sense sans Will’s memories. Since it’s already established Will is drawn to Paul without them, him only being drawn to Sonny due to their history would lessen that relationship imo. It’s a soap, everything will be drawn out and I’m sure regardless if Will gets back with Sonny it may not last, same if he remains with Paul. Locking two characters, especially young soap characters down this early is bad for characters and us as fans, since it puts them on the back burner when Will’s story is just picking up. I’m sure Paul will be hurt, but I’m also sure Will will probably be drawn to him again; giving us both Horita and WilSon angst. I don’t think Sonny is over Will at all. The recent scenes Will and Sonny shared have made it very clear Sonny is still deeply in love with Will but is rebounding hard.

It's a given that Will needs his memories back. The writers have even had Will himself say, more than once, that he wishes he could remember. They've also had Sonny spell out all the love that Will is missing out on as a result of his amnesia. At the same time Roger talked about Will 'being the person he was supposed to be' but without his memories that cannot be the case. So the idea that Will needs to 'debate' the issue and with Paul of all people, who cannot be trusted to be impartial makes no real sense. However, Will also speaks with Adrienne and it'll be interesting to hear her take on things. Adrienne's continued presence in the SL is clearly down to the writers' obvious desire to draw comparisons between the Justin/Adrienne pairing and Will/Sonny.
I do not believe this is setting up a long term triangle where Will is bouncing between Sonny and Paul. Will has said more than once that Sonny has been hurt by him enough and he doesn't want him to be hurt anymore. It's also hard to see Sonny putting up with such behavior. Just last week he turned down Will's invitation to have lunch because he is clearly determined not to accept the crumbs that Will offered and to move on with his life.
Will stated that he feared Sonny was going to get hurt as a result of getting into a rebound relationship, and the very same can be said of Paul, who as sonia38 pointed out, knowingly went into a relationship with a man suffering from amnesia - a man who went to his 'grave' loving his husband and hating the man who tried to come between them. Plus no attempt has been made to present Horita as anything more than friends with benefits, hence Will stating that he does not think of Paul as his boyfriend. Instead we have two people living in a bubble, Will because he cannot recall his old life and the man he loves and Paul because he cannot have the life and the man he wanted. That is not the basis for a long term serious relationship.
My guess would be that Leo's betrayal makes Sonny bitter about relationship and love and unwilling to allow himself to trust in either again, especially as Will has also betrayed him - first by cheating during their marriage and then by divorcing him and taking up with Paul. That will be the obstacle facing WilSon in the next chapter of this SL.

Just last week he turned down Will's invitation to have lunch because he is clearly determined not to accept the crumbs that Will offered and to move on with his life. Regardless if you don't believe or I believe, Ron has stated numerous times this is going to be a triangle. They even used it to draw attention to the show during the Emmy's and Chandler did a speech a few weeks ago for the HRC with the same narrative. As Chandler mentioned in that speech Will is the legacy character who was both born on screen and we watched grow up in real time; he's one of the only legacy children who wasn't affected by SORAS and was only aged up three years during an actor change in the 00s. He's the true "centre" of any triangle. Neither Paul nor Sonny can compare to Will's history on the show with the viewers. In terms of Will's feelings he will most likely be conflicted. Which is why so much time (six months now?) is being spent building up Will and Paul. You can talk about how all they do is sit and talk in bed, but didn't Sonny and Will do the same? A lot of their in bed post-cotial conversations were regarding Nick (since that was the major drama at the time). What are they supposed to do? Sonny is a very real complication but kudos to them for trying to look out for him and moving on with each other. W&P were given a good slow burn, the relationship will obviously be tested in the coming months but regardless of who Will's ends up with he will 100% cheat again. It's a soap opera, not a fairy tale novel. It's what writers do to create drama and angst and considering Will's family history (Marlena and Sami) it's makes total sense. I'm happy Ron went the Will and Paul direction since there was a lot of there to be further developed that was wasted when the new writers took over. To say Will hated Paul before he "died" is only considered foreplay in a soap. Lucas and Sami were at each others throats for YEARS and even tried to kill each other (literally). Same with Sami and EJ; who Sami met when she opened the door to her new next door neighbour who appeared shirtless first for the first time (EJ). EJ stole her child for over a year and let her think Sydney died and Sami shot him in the head, stole his money and his company and left him in jail to rot after he cheated. Just because characters have a "bad" history doesn't mean anything, if anything it creates potential for new drama once they start developing feelings.

No love interest means no story...so... The problem is that the longer the triangle drags on, the worse it makes everyone involved look. If Will gets back together with Sonny and then cheats on him again with Paul, he looks horrible, and if Sonny forgives him, again, he’ll look like an idiot. Not that he doesn’t already. If Will cheats on Paul with Sonny, Paul fans will hate him. Triangles don’t always mean cheating, or the person in the center being torn. As long as I’ve been watching, Marlena only wanted John. Roman was a very clear 2nd choice. During Shawn/Belle/Philip, Belle always wanted Shawn. During the Lucas/Sami/E.J. and Rafe/Sami/E.J. triangles, Sami always knew who she wanted. She changed her mind at the end, but she was never torn.

I don't understand the attempt to make comparisons between Will and Paul and Will and Sonny pairings.
Will and Sonny started off as friends. The relationship then continued for nearly a year. During that time, Will had sex Gabi, broke up with Gabi, struggled with his sexuality and then finally accepted that he was gay. Even then he and Sonny did not get together and Will got involved with Neil. That is what an example of a couple who the writers have invested in and have taken the time to establish. They then immediately faced obstacles in the form off Will's insecurities and Adrienne and Lucas's attempts to keep them apart, followed rapidly by gab's pregnancy and Nick's manipulations.
Will had been back in Salem for all of five minutes when he planted a kiss on Paul and it happened because he could not remember Sonny. We know this because Will has repeatedly said he would be with Sonny if his head hadn't been messed with. Will rapidly divorced Sonny and took up with Paul but they faced no obstacles and no one in Salem, bar Sonny cared that they were even together. They do not even socialise as a couple, instead Will alone has had scenes with JJ, Adrienne and with Gabi and each time the over riding topic is his loss of memory and Sonny. Tellingly, Will's recent scenes with Arianna have been shared with Sonny and not Paul. That is not the way that a couple who the writers want us to be invested in would be treated. And they certainly would not have had Will proclaim to Sonny, of all people, that after five whole months Will did not even consider Paul to be his boyfriend.
I also do not understand the desire to compare Will and Paul with John and Marlena when the writers have made no effort to do anything of the kind. But okay let's do just that. Marlena was in love in Roman. Roman was thought to have died. The Pawn appears and later everyone, including Marlena is led to believe he is Roman. For over a year Marlena and 'Roman' live together as man and wife and as a family until the real Roman returns and the truth is revealed. Marlena is then genuinely in love with two men and enters into an affair with faux Roman who is now known as John Black. But in the end the deciding factor is baby Belle who ultimately turns out to be John's. Will and Paul have not been established as being in love and Will's family life revolves around Sonny and Arianna. Plus despite claiming to be happy and still not having his memories, Will is making excuses to visit Sonny and invite him out to lunch.
But that's just one Jarlena SL.
Another Jarlena SL concerns John once again losing his memories and deciding that he quite likes the new him and has no interest in his old life and he and Marlena divorce. At the same time, John takes up with another woman. John goes on to regain his memories and has to work overtime to get Marlena back. Sound at all familiar?
It is equally crazy to try and compare the narrative less pairing of Will and Paul with Lumi or Ejami, who actually had full on SLs which involved more than the odd conversation about their exes while lying around in a dingy bedsit.

So what you'll have is Will being torn between Paul who wants him and Sonny who doesn't. That isn't a triangle and certainly is not comparable to Marlena, John and Roman.

The show is making the Jarlena/Horita comparisons. They even had it in the dialogue at one point. The show has been comparing Marlena/Sami/Will for YEARS. Will and Sami both catching their mothers cheating, Will and Sami being wild cards who react (both shooting EJ in the head), Will/Sami cheating when both were against cheating etc. Just go back and watch. Sonny as a character benefited from Will's popularity and the fact that Will was an established character; similar to what is happening now with Paul. The storylines will be given to Will just like how Will's new arc is starting that will tie into the Jarlena wedding and Sami return, only this time Paul will be supporting like Sonny did back in the day, but Im sure we'll have him sprinkled in here in there to facilitate the triangle in the future. Will and Paul have only begun, of course you can't compare it to Will and Sonny at the moment, but considering Ali is still filming and CS/CM were still working closely together without Freddie on set speaks to the pair becoming established and lasting six months down the line. Sonny and Will have history, Will and Paul can easily have a new history that could last years on the show. The fact the pairing has had this positive of a fan reaction is telling, not saying people don't like WilSon but I don't think TPB thought Horita would be anything more than a hurtle for WilSon which I suspect has changed imo. I highly doubt Will will get his memories back until Ali is just about to wrap up, which will start the triangle of Will being torn. Also, Will and Paul starting out as lovers is super realistic in a gay relationship of two men. Not all relationships are equal and that doesn't mean one based on friendship is more than one that started out physically. If anything the latter is reflective of today's society. How many people stay with the first person they had a relationship with as a teenager, especially when they were newly out? Maybe the odd few. It's a romantic concept, but again not wholly realistic. Just because one relationship started out sexually and feelings developed over time, it doesn't devalue W&P's relationship; all relationships are different. I mean Will and Paul and good fiends, even if Will and Sonny get back together I'm sure that will remain. In terms of the set, a lot of characters live there as mentioned, and the show has no money so I hope when we get the WilSon reunion you're just as critical of Sonny talking to Will in bed (probably about Paul) in Will's Martin House room.

Unfortunately, on soaps these days, the writing continues to get progressively worse, which is why I wouldn’t read anything into Horita not getting the development that WilSon did. Just like Wilson didn’t get as good a buildup as Shelle did. Most of John/Marlena/roman was before I started watching, but I’m guessing they got an better build up than Shelle did. I hope Sonny doesn’t take Will back right away, even though it’s obvious he’s still in love with him. If he does, he’s an idiot.

What works on screen and what works in real life are two very very different things. Fiction is all about will they won’t they. And starting off in bed ruins the romantic tension, imho. Especially if it’s not a one time things. Soaps are all about unfulfilled longing.

Jeez the writers really have it in for Sonny. It seems they won't be happy until he is jobless, homeless and friendless.

Sonny is being hit with both barrel of a gun. I hope he comes out iof this standing tall and Leo ends up in jail for the liar and conniver he is. Don’t know what to make of the Sonny /Chad spoiler, I only hope Chad is not joining the let’s destroy Sonny crowd.

The Chad/Titan spoiler makes no sense as Victor hates Chad and would never want him running his company.
In fact it makes about as much sense as Will feeling the need to debate whether or not he should get his memories back.

I'm excited for the triangle to start and Will to be the centre. In the promo that was released early, it looks like Will answers the door after getting a shower and goes and changes into a new shirt. Paul is already in Will's room and sees them from the door from the other room. It's clear the Sonny scenes appear to be Monday, so it's all Will pre-injection. Will is then seen with Marlena on Tuesday at the hospital getting the injection and Paul is to his left. So thus far, we don't know what happens post-injection but I don't think it will be this easy. Also, since it's a triangle Will's feelings for Paul won't shut off like Sonny's did for Paul when Will came back.
I do find it funny/interesting though that based on whoever did the editing of that promo that WilSon is just being used as Horita angst. Love it.

I hate that Will is going to dump Paul for Sonny - his returning memory seems incredibly selection if he does not remember why they were apart in the first place - but I hope it gives Paul a fresh, new love interest, not one that ends as badly as Sonny's ill-advised fling with Leo. Leo is what Sonny deserves, but of course he will "win" Will. I hope they can continue to make each other miserable or move away to Paris.

I'm sure at some point Will is going to leave Paul, and I'm also sure he is going to leave Sonny again too. Personally, I'd rather have Will alone with a new man if they don't go with Will and Paul long term. It really depends on the writer and Will and Paul are getting pretty decent writing with angst coming. I remember how much I adored Lucas and Sami (arguably one of the last pairings that had old school build up and super couple writing), yet we have Ejami which I'm still a little bitter about personally lol. Ali and Bryan were SO pro-Lumi in interviews too, and they even had commercials and went on game shows together to give the pair publicity. So, it's a fact that just because a couple has a child and were the original pair with the actors supporting it- doesn't necessarily mean that's what the writers will go with. They also needed Sami free to carry story in her age group. Will and Abby are currently the only ones in their "age group" that have led story in the past. Plus, Chabby is clearly the shows solid couple; they invented the DID so Abby would cheat (because she otherwise wouldn't according to RC). So having Will similar to Sami and bouncing between partners would make sense, since after they settle WilSon or Horita it limits what stories can be done.

I rather have Sonny and Paul together until Sonny dropped him like he was garbage did he forget how hard he fought for Paul on that island I think he got stabbed because of it so if I had to choose it would be for Wilson to get back together and let Sonny see he should have stayed with Paul

It's possible I guess as long as all three are on the canvas. I do think Paul and Sonny were just a pairing convenience since their lead was murdered, both were back burned hard and largely irrelevant until last Fall. I personally didn't see the chemistry, but that's subjective I guess. I think making Will (Chandler) the centre makes the most sense due to both the actor's popularity and the character's. FS seems all about Will/Sonny (HIS money pairing), Chandler is pro three-way and CS is pretty neutral. I'm excited for Will to bounce between them. I don't think the injection will work since CS/CM had BTS photos of them in robes around the time they would have been filming stuff for the end of this month. I'm rooting for Paul and Will personally and I think it's the shows best pairing in years. Although, they both appeared to have been working towards becoming friends before Will died in 2015, I hope they revisit the blackmail and their lust/hate relationship. I think they are both in love currently, but I adore that type of dynamic since Lucas and Sami had the best love/hate relationship going as far as both almost killing each other; multiple times and it went on for over 15 years.

Will and Paul were not working their way to becoming friends in 2015. In their last scene together, Will told Paul to stay out of his way, and Will would stay out of Paul’s. Paul agreed. Will said Paul had ruined his life and Arianna’s. He told Gabi in scenes afterwards that Paul had ruined his marriage. As far as Will needing to be free like Sami—When Ejami became popular, they replaced Lucas with Rafe, and Sami became all about Rafe for years. E.J. was pretty clearly written as the obstacle. It was only when the actors were leaving that they paired E.J. and Sami, and I suspect that that was only because JS and AS insisted on it. That was not Sami “bouncing.” You know who bounces? Brady. And it’s destroyed the character.

^^Thanks fir your response Fuzzy. I was thinking the same thing about Will and Paul. If Will decides to make his family with Sonny a priority and work is way to get Sonny and trust back in their relationship I would not feel anything regarding Paul since he put himself in this precarious position knowing well and good that one day amnesia Will might remember his life and want said family back.

I wasn't going to post but thinking about it I changed my mind.
The show is going out of its way to point out that false accusations of rape make it hard for real victims to be believed. On top of that false accusations of this nature can and does ruin lives.
It's disheartening to come here and see comments stating that Sonny deserves to be falsely accused of rape because he dumped his fiance in favour of continuing his marriage.
It may be a soap and these may be soap opera characters but rape and false accusations of rape are real issues.

Are you seriously trying to make them out to be rape apologists just because they aren't fans of your favourite character/actor?
