It seems that we'll see soon a soft side of Riley (well, he bash enough people in the last seasons).

He's cute, but his hair looks like it's been attacked by the wind. Maybe it's me, I don't like guys with too much product in their hair.

I'm so glad to know that Riley continued with his therapy and he's made so much progress. It's been like 6 months, I was scared he'd still be terrified but I love that they are showing how important it is for a kid to have a support network of friends they trust.
When Riley was hanging out with the kid from camp in the woods, you could tell that he was simultaneous terrified and relieved to be with him.
But the pure joy on his face when he was looking at Zane throughout the episode just made my heart burst.
It's like all the intensity and energy he put into hating himself, he's put into his one development.
He's adorable and so is Zane and I really hope we see more of them. Coming out is a process.
My favorite moment is after he kissed Zane and he kinda looked around but not in fear (finally) but like he wanted to tell someone, like he's the first boy to every kiss or boy. He just looks so completely happy and it was beautiful to see.
Obviously there will still be bumps but I'm just so glad to see him moving forward and NOT staying in the closet for all of school.
I also forgot to say how happy I am to see Riley and Anya hanging out. She's so sweet and exactly what he needs. I'm surprised she didn't think he might be gay given how he behaved when they "dated". It was just so lovely to hear him tell her he's gay so confidently (even though I know he has a ways to go)

Finally Riley's storyline is picking up.. not only that, but it's really really well done! ;D Riley and Zane have great chemistry, and the actors really perfected the small flirty looks that communicated EVERYTHING going on between them. I'm glad for Riley, he looks so happy to be getting out there and seeing what life has to offer. He has a boy he really likes and I think he's getting less and less afraid of who he is.

When is the next episode?? or was this the season finale? This was not the season finale. But this was the only guest appearance of Zane in this season. But Zane will be a regular character in the next Season (10th) that starts in July. |
