Riley was on last night with Anya. So far no Zane. But there are more episodes to come.
They are cycling through the ABC plots.
I'm thinking Anya and Owen are going to come up against Zane and Riley and that might challenge their relationship.
Also, Adam hasn't had Plot A space yet so I anticipate he'll move up the rotor as well.
I'd love to see Zane and Adam strike up a friendship. They seem like they'd get along well.

i concur about zane and adam! Zane could be like Adam's LGBT mentor =P. I kinda hope Owen wises up and that he and Anya can be good friends with Zane and Riley. I think Anya and Owen could be good together but i just hope the writers just remember that Riley and Zane are some of Anya's best friends.

Does anyone know where you can view the newest season of Degrassi, mainly Riley and Zane?

DTNGRiley used to be uploading riley's story on youtube but they haven't put loaded anything since it came back on 3 weeks ago. I know you can see the full episodes at Teennick.com! that's where I watch them every week =)

I read that Zane won't be back. It's such a waste of a good character. I just hope they won't backburn Riley's storyline now. They can still make him come out to his parents, and show his life at home, and how his parents deal with it. That said, I think Degrassi has done a sucky job with the gay storyline. It started out really well, with so much potential, only to fall completely apart.
It seems to me that once again they prioritize the lesbian storyline, to draw in male viewers and get the ratings up. I see this time and time again. Lesbians sell, gays are taboo. It's ok to have lesbians kiss, but not gays (case in point: Neighbours). OK, so Degrassi showed Ziley kiss, but they didn't do a great job with the storyline. They seem more invested in the lesbian storyline, because it's easier to sell and get new viewers, mostly men.

^ well i don't think that's true, even though there ratings were kinda bad before season 10, i don't think they would do a lesbian story line just to get viewers. i think degrassi is a reflection of how high school is.

That is NOT how Degrassi rolls. Riley has always been a third tier character. Marco was a first tier character. Don't blame Degrassi for what OTHER SHOWS have done to their gay characters. Plenty of young bisexual girls and lesbians watch Degrassi and it's great for them to have a storyline that reflects their experience. One thing has nothing to do with the other. You don't enjoy it when folks come down on the shows you like unfairly so why would you do it with other shows? I find it very offensive what you're saying about Degrassi which is a show that works VERY HARD to be representative of modern teen experiences and in my eyes does an excellent job. Like I said, I've been watching Degrassi since I was a tween. I'm the same age is the principle. I've seen every episodes and some seasons multiple times. You could not be more wrong about this show. Check your facts! Making stuff up is not cute or useful. We're all disappointed at not having more Zane and Riley but just because a show isn't doing what we want, it doesn't mean there is some great conspiracy behind it. For all you know the actors may not want bigger roles. It's not like Degrassi is the only thing they do. Degrassi is and has been one of the most queer positive shows on television for 20 plus years.

I have watched Degrassi on and off for years. Fine you can disagree as much as you want with me, but please respect my opinion. I like the Riley character and I really adore Zane. I think I'm allowed to be pissed off for them completely peeing all over the storyline. I really liked them together, and I didn't like how they broke them up. I think they have done an AMAZING job with the Adam storyline though. I just wish they would show him more. And I still stand by what I said, I think they are doing a horrible job with the lesbian storyline. They only show it to please the male viewers. The cue is all the comments on internet saying "that was so hot, Charlie and Fiona are hot together, wow, make them kiss more, I thought I was dying when Fiona undressed" etc. Like I said.. I still stand by what I said. The lesbian storyline is done horribly with only one purpose in mind. You are allowed to disagree, and we just have to agree to disagree once again I think, but please respect my opinion, even if it is different from yours. I don't like you using words like "ridiculous". Can you please disagree with me using arguments and not resort to personal attacks? Than you.

Calling a show homophobic is not just an opinion and I didn't personally attack you. I disagreed with what you said. No where did I insult you in my post. You made a claim about the show and the writers that I think is unfair, inaccurate and not supported by the evidence of what's been shown on the screen. If you post something like that you have to be prepared to have folks disagree with you.
As a lesbian, I also find it offensive that you ALWAYS say that lesbian storylines are only for male viewers.
I love Fiona's storyline and who cares if a bunch of folks watching the show think the girls are hot?
People here comment about how gay characters are hot and sexy and no one ever claims it's just because they are there to please straight women and gay men.
Fiona's storyline has been a long time playing out an there is nothing more gratuitous about her storyline than any other romance.
Why is it shocking that people think two pretty girls falling in love is sexy? How is that "only for one purpose?"
The seed of Fiona being a lesbian was planted in the first season of her being on the show when she got so jealous of Holly J dating her twin brother.
Not liking a storyline is fine.
But making stuff up about what the writers intended isn't fair to the show, the actors or the writers.
That is why I responded.
You frequently say horrible things about the lesbian storyline that seems based solely on the fact that you don't want to see a lesbian storyline or like it takes away from the gay storyline.
I find that personally offensive and there is nothing wrong with my saying so.
We all have a right to speak our mind and we all get challenged on our opinions (particularly if we don't back them up with evidence).
You stated that you've watched the show on and off well I've watched every season since it began (many of them multiple times) so maybe you haven't watch enough to have the same sense of continuity that I have.
But your assumptions about Riley and Zane's storyline aren't fair.
Also, how do you know it's over? They're done shooting but they aren't done airing their episodes.
You have not idea what might happen before the season is over.
Sometimes it pays to just be patient and let something play out before you decide what the future's going to be for a storyline.

I suppose Riley is leaving soon too. He's going to a university out of Toronto. It's sad they got such an ending. Somehow it's realistic. People can't solve every problem when they're in high school.

He and Zane were both in the batch of students who graduated at the end of the mid-season. I doubt we will see anymore from them
