thank you so much HQ! I always miss it on T.V. so your vids are great! Poor Riley, I love how open he is now! He doesn't seem to be as angry, or even destructive. Zane really knows how to take care of his man, and Riley's trying, which is very sweet.
Riley doesn't seem as scared to face his mother, which is very brave, I hope all goes well.

Hoping for the best for Riley... can't be easy to have the conversation... especially after being caught kissing Zane...
Can I say how happy I am that Riley/Zane is finally back?? they seems to have disappeared for so long... hope they appear in lots more episodes...

I saw the episode.. it was good. Poor Riley, he tried to come out to his mom. But no matter what he said.. his mom was still in denial! I guess it's the classic "parents in denial" phase. Hopefully she'll come around though..
The episode was quite funny too. Drew was hysterical high.. I still don't get WHY he's with Bianca though.. she tried to bully his brother ffs! Besides, she's bad news.. she may not have forced him to take the shrooms, but she was certainly the one who suggested it.. Again, she's just bad news. He'll hopefully come to his senses when his friends are more, ehm, friendly..

I'm glad to see Degrassi got its own space here on GoDT!
Should I make a new thread for the Adam storyline, and maybe a thread for all the other storylines on Degrassi? And I guess the actors, Agiris Karras (Riley) and Shannon Kook-Chun (Zane) deserve their own threads as well?

People who are only interested in one then don't have to fish around for news specific to their favourite story. |

While I liked that Degrassi got it's own section, I was actually quite surprised, considering how seldom the boys actually appear on the show... They definitely have more screen time than Teddy ;D ;D and 90210 has been in the main Shows thread for a long time now. Degrassi has a huge cast and rotates between A, B and C plotlines for each episode so it can take a long time to rotate through all the characters. |

Yeah, I was surprised as well.. pleasantly surprised, but I don't mind. They deserve to get their own space here, even though they are on the show only once in a while, they are still quite popular. Exactly, Degrassi have a huge cast, but at least they rotate them and give them proper storylines. They give Ziley more screen time than for example Teddy. Besides, Degrassi actually has the Adam storyline we can follow too. It's not exactly gay, but it is queer, and the storyline is done well. Spoiler, highlight to read: Fiona will probably end up as a lesbian too, but we'll leave that out for this board. Don't think that would fit here, but I guess we can talk about her or other characters in the "other degrassi storylines" thread. I don't know about you, but I watch the entire show, every episode, and not just the Ziley themed episodes. I think it's a good show, I like it, many awesome characters! I recommend people to check it out, I think you'll like it. I like it, and I'm not even its demographic, I'm too old, but well.. I still like it! lol |

No Riley or Zane in the first two episodes of season 11. Fiona's storyline advanced quite a bit in these episodes -- she took her first steps in gay dating. It looks like based on www.tv.com/degrassi-the-next-generation/show/6810/episode.html that Riley's first episode with any major plot is episode 9, which airs on July 28th. |

I can't stand lesbian storylines.. they are only made to satisfy the straight male viewers who all enjoy watching lesbians on tv to get sexually aroused. Lesbian storylines are NEVER done well. And I'm a woman who likes other women.. I still wouldn't be caught dead watching a lesbian storyline.. I prefer gay storylines. So yeah.. I won't be watching Fiona. I am however excited about Adam's storyline this season! The transgender stuff is really interesting imo.

episode 3 of season 11 -- still no sign of Riley or Zane. Lots of baby drama and the fallout from the Claire-Eli break-up from last season.

episode 4 -- Mostly about Anya. I find it strange that Riley was not at her surprise birthday party -- they seemed to have become good friends after they dated a few seasons ago. She was the second person he came out to. Well, another episode with no Riley or Zane.
