Has anyone found clips of all the Grizz & Sam parts anywhere? I have Netflix but I am not sure I want to watch the full eps.

Teens have parents. Also these particular teens are very close with their parents. Not including their parents wouldn't make sense. We don't actually know how much of each episode will focus on the teens yet so there is no reason to assume everything will be family focused. For me, I like seeing lezbigay teens WITH their families because it gives viewers a perspective about how kids can be out and proud and still have close relationships with their families. Also the foundation of soap operas traditionally is families and telenovelas in particular so it shouldn't be surprising.

Not to mention Keanu had a big old affair with Sharon (Ben's step mother) and got Ben's little sister Louise pregnant.

I would say what Kyle has gone through was way up on the misery porn scale. She had breast cancer then a mastectomy that got infected she had to have a hysterectomy her mother died of cancer her sister agreed to carry a child for her which broke up her (which caused friction with her husband)and then her sister was murdered by the husband who also manipulated and schemed to get rid of Kylie's husband so he could get with Kylie then after they were married Kylie found out he was a serial killer who killed her sister and others. Other characters have suffered lost but Kylie and Jack seemed to get the full on smack down.
I was never invested in Lincoln so I am not sad to see him go but I can't stand Nicole and how she she seemed to go through this storyline completely unscathed other than the loss of the child which they all suffered.
I was excited about the return of Charlie because Jack has no friends or relationships with people his own age and Kate has apparently forgotten her promise to look after Jack as all she has seemed to care about was Nicole and her misbegotten offspring (the fact that a grown woman, who is a nurse was just willy nilly using drugs and having unprotected sex has never sat well with me but the fact that Nicole (who's tagline is "But I'm a struggling single mom") would not immediately take the morning after pill when she had the unprotected sex is SHOCKING. It's not the 1950s. She is a nurse who works in a hospital. There was no point to her becoming pregnant and it was completely preventable and it just made the entire storyline seem contrived and trite to me. Then she spent her entire pregnancy lusting after Lincoln but acting like she wasn't just made her all the worse in my eyes. The the baby finally died all I could feel was relief that Jack wouldn't feel tethered to Nicole forever.
But now we are back where we always are on these soaps (with the exception of Hollyoaks which has always had a plethora of LGBT characters involved in all kinds of stories that have nothing to be with being bi or gay) because there are only ever one or two gays who date each other so when one goes, it's over and they have to artificially introduce a new gay or bi man.

Finn used the fact that Harry had feelings for him to get stuff he wanted. That's it. It isn't any deeper than that for Finn (and he can't remember any of it). IT was clear in 2017 that Harry was very much in love with Finn and felt humiliated by what he did for Finn once he learned what Finn was doing so it makes sense that he would still be bitter about it. It's not that long ago. Arron had just been an annoying kill joy since he got with David again and I can't stand him. All he does is whinge and preach and make demands. Right now Chloe is the only Brennan I can actually stand. David has always be a clingy, insecure, whiner and the ONLY time I liked him is when he was with Rafael. Neighbours has got to have the most boring gays on any soap. Just straight up boring. Together, apart, they have no sexual chemistry. I have never seen a less sexual couple of any gender/orientation. I keep hoping they will bring in a young gay man to add some spice and present an alternative picture to the sexless, chaste, dull as dirt representative of homosexuality on Neighbours that is David and Aaron. I thought Nate was stiff and passionless but I think they may have surpassed him. I can't believe it has come to the point where the only couple I care about is Kyle & Chloe (I rarely care about straight couples and they are doomed from the beginning) but there it is... They are cute and fun and actually seem to be genuinely into each other.

Why do they never kiss or hold hands or act like the other couples who are always all over each other physically? I've never seen such repressed gay teenaged boys. The each hug and kiss the girls in their life more than they do each other.

Charlie is a drug dealer who also uses AND he owes bigger and badder drug dealers a lot of money. I doubt the knife was meant for anyone at the hospital. He isn't psychic and couldn't know he would wind up in the hospital. But a drug dealer who owes money to other drug dealers should be carrying something to protect himself. Unfortunately in his state of panic and having been nearly beaten to death AND being high as a kite it makes perfect sense that he would try to get out of the ER by any means necessary. It's not that deep.
I am not a fan of the writing for any of the gay characters on Shortland Street and I think the way the writers deal with addiction is very 1950s but a drug dealer who is an addict who's life is in danger carrying a knife and lashing out is not even remotely unbelievable.
Lincoln is a a dog. Him getting high and having sex with Charlie is no different than him getting high and having sex with Nicole in Moe's bed while Jack(who he knew had a crush on him) was outside on the couch.
This is who Lincoln is. For better or for ill. He has played Nicole and Jack against each other from the moment they first hung out. He is duplicitous just like Nicole (she did the same thing with Harper and Vinnie and then again with that nurse and Vinnie)
Both Lincoln and Nicole are snakes. Baby or no baby.
The problem is this show only believes gay characters are interesting if they are closeted, suffering, scheming or in some way connected to a woman.
Every relationship Jack has had was doomed before it started and the show made sure we knew that even if Jack didn't so we could never fully invest

Why does this have its own thread? Also this isn't a question anyone on this board can actually answer. We don't write the show nor do we direct Chandler Massey's acting. You could always tweet the showrunner if you legit want an answer that isn't someone's opinion (which may differ from yours) Also in the over 11 years that I have been a member of this forum no one has been banned for asking questions, only for being combative or disrespectful of the forum rules. If you have questions about that you can always speak to the moderator.

Charlie who was not strung out, recently nearly beaten to death and scared for his life would not be violent but drugs are mind altering and can dramatically alter your behavior. No one is particularly sweet when they are in that situation. Even Jack (who is soft as a bunny most of the time) was physically intimidating when he was actively addicted. He punched Linc and that is not like him at all. Charlie is also clearly terrified so whatever demons he is fighting T just got in the way. I don't think it was out of nowhere at all. It made sense given that we know Charlie has been actively using and that he was being threatened AND didn't want to go back to prison. Combine that with him apparently having no family or support and not thinking very much of himself. It makes sense he'd be out of control.
Drug addition is an illness (something the medical professionals on the show and the viewers don't seem to know, acknowledge or accept) and until it is effectively treated (in long-term rehab with doctors and addiction specialists) anything can happen. No one is in their right mind when they are high and they are not being themselves. There is nothing "real" about how folks are when they are high.
I feel like the show could do a better job of explaining drug addiction vis a vis how they are handling Lincoln, Jack and Charlie who are each addicts. It's horrible what Charlie did to T but it is not worse than what Jason/Sebastian did during his psychotic break and Esther managed to forgive him.
Addiction is no more of a choice than addiction is. Not every person who uses becomes an addict and not every person who is depressed becomes suicidal but it is really the luck of the draw, not about will power or some kind of moral failing.

Isn't this the same show that just had a gay football player as a protagonist? Santiago? He has his own lead storyline. Or is this a different show with the same title? I know each season has a different subtitle but it is the same show no?

Frankly, i remember an incident that it was not supergay friendly when Matt Daddario was doing an instagram live (or something like that) that made me question what was really the enviroment on that set I have always been a firm believer in just judging what I see on screen since I have no actual way of knowing what happens behind the scenes and it's not really relevant to the story being told. There have been actors on shows who hated each other but had to play lovers and we never knew it because they never let that affect their acting. What matters most to me is that Matt and Harry make me believe that Alec and Magnus are madly in love, would die for each other and are devoted to each other.

There is no confusion. Ben is gay. He has always been gay. Even when he slept with Lola she knew he was gay and she encouraged him to come out. Abby also knew Ben was gay. She was the first person he came out to. He is just played by an older actor. Lola is the mother of his daughter. They are not in a romantic relationship. She have some kind of big secret which is connected to why they came back and why they are acting so weirdly.

The show on ABC Family or Freeform has always been a VERY different animal than the book series (for better or worse) and both iterations of the network have always been super gay friendly. But from what I've read Magnus Bane has always stood out as a favorite character even in the book series. We shall see what the future holds. Jace when he is not involved with Alec is just one note and boring (in the film and the TV series). Which is a shame because I actually really like Dominic as an actor and he has loads of chemistry with everyone except the actress who plays Clary. The scenes he had with his on-screen father were 100% more romantic and sexy than actual bed scenes with Katherine. Bless her heart.

My comment was a general one about ALL OF US respecting cultural differences. I have no interest in fighting with anyone about ANY show and particularly not about shows I am not watching and currently I'm only watching Skam France.

grallonsphere: Give the "PC culture" crap a rest. You're not doing yourself any favors with backhanded insults. Make a constructive argument. HQ75: Norway, Italy, Germany, and Spain are part of the Western world. While there are certainly differences between those countries, some people (myself included) would like to think that there are some generally shared values. Unlike when compared with countries around the world. Besides, when have cultural differences ever stopped anyone on this board from making comments on shows developed in another country? No where in my comments did I say we shouldn't comments on shows from other cultures and given my history on this board I don't believe you actually think that is what I meant. My point is very simple. We can't presume that every culture (even within the West) will interpret the same set of circumstances in the same way. One very glaring difference, for instance, across Western cultures is Age of Consent (which is a cultural value) and which can differ widely across the EU, Australia, New Zealand and the U.S. There are real cultural differences that actually make watching shows from different countries (even in the West) more interesting. I don't see how what I said is in any way controversial or deserving of a personal reprimand from the moderator.

She is the worst and if I had the skills and time I would edit her out of every episode so I can just enjoy the rest of the show. The actress and the character are awful.

I also wanted to say that each version of Skam is written by writers whose target audience is not all of the Western world but specifically the country in which the show is set. There are all kinds of cultural and other differences that factor into how the shows will be organized and written. Just because we have access to clips on Youtube doesn't mean we are all the target audience for every version of a show. We all have opinions (not always substantiated by actual facts) but we should also be respectful of the writers and audiences of each version and understand that we shouldn't assume we get to dictate how a show is written in another country. We shouldn't assume that we are the arbiter of what is or isn't the appropriate way to tell a story in a language we don't speak in an context we aren't part of. Context is everything and the beauty of this board and the shows we get to share is how differently the same situations can be interpreted or stories can be told. None of this stuff is personal and it's not like we are customers paying to watch all these different versions.

Could we maybe have a separate thread for each of the Skam adaptations? There is a lot of discussion about the different versions and we aren't all watching or interested in every version so a lot of the conversation isn't relevant to what we are watching. Also some of the stuff folks are conjecturing about hasn't happened yet so it muddles the conversation and makes it very hard to follow. When it was just like 2 versions of Skam it made sense to have it all in once thread but there are like 5 now and it's kind of unruly, in my opinion. This way folks who don't plan to watch a particular iteration don't have to be involved in the discussion of that remake.
DRUCK Skam Italy Skam France Skam Spain are very different shows with multiple seasons. Everyone should get to discuss the version they wish to just not all at once please.

Ste and Harry need to be together so neither of them can ruin anyone else's life. I kid. I think Harry needs to sort his life out and get back on track with his goals so he can be with a man is a way that isn't desperate or crisis-driven. James belongs with Kyle. They are brilliant together. IF Luke is gay or bi then being raped as a young man might problemitize his ability to accept his same sex attractions the way it did with Aaron but being raped or assaulted by a man would have nothing to do with him being gay or bi. I don't think Scott is the right fit for Luke, however. Scott needs someone who accepts him for all his glory and is fun and outgoing like him who won't try to change him but can me him feel secure and loved. As an aside, Darren and Nancy are THE WORST and need to move to Canada. Permanently
