But wait!
Rebecca will be working at Schneider's now. At least based on this week's spoilers. Lutz will be working at Schneider's. Possible romance? Maybe some future triangle with Lutz and Charlie?
Yet another possibility, even though Lutz won't be main cast.

I can't believe I'm about to do this. I need to defend Jasmine (Rebecca) for a moment. I'm not a fan of hers on the show.
But I'm an American, and I'm not counted in the show's ratings. My opinions really won't affect what happens on the show, and her fate really my least concern when I think about VL.
To Jasmine's defense, Rebecca really hasn't been given much of a story since she's gotten there. The silly comedy romance with Gregor was a trifle to get his mind off of Sarah so he could get ready for the BIG romance with Luise. The flirtation with David was a mess. Perhaps her most "heavy" story to date has been her interference in the Luise & Gregor fairytale, but she is now allied with their happiness. Since then, she's been a silly little stumbling fool who can't jog without falling and who is now inexplicably a receptionist, and soon to become a waiter.
Maybe the arrival of the twins (who hopefully don't get an in-your-face creepy introduction like Zan and Jana on ATWT) will finally give her some dramatic range to play. Her stories haven't given her the opportunity to flex her acting muscles or show her range. That is the writers' fault. She's been stuck on a corner of the show's canvas for a long time because they don't know what to do with her.
Lola's perception of the new brood as Lahnstein 2.0 could be apt and very perceptive. Rebecca gets along with brother Seb. Yawn. She's a mere child when compared to the other Lahnsteins. What else is there to do? There is no man other than David for her to go after (Justus might be fun if only because of her clumsiness and his...formality. Can you imagine a funnier or more awkward love scene?)
Maybe she'll get Andi. I don't care. I want fireworks with Helena and Tristian!
The bottom line is that Rebecca needs a decent story to justify her continued presence on the show. If she can't act it, the writers will see that, and then she'll likely be shown the door via a plane ticket to New York or Paris or someplace far, far away.
But for the time being, she serves as a link between the show's "hubs" of activity, the castle, the flat-share/NL, the Holding offices. And look at it this way, she needs a strong connection to the flat-share in order to be introduced to Andi, and then to have a reason to present in his life.
As for Jasmine, maybe the Germans on the boards can assist with this, but outside of the internet poll that named her the "hottest" whatever, is there a lot of attention given to her in the press? Are the teen or youth-oriented magazines wallpapered with her pictures? Is she that popular over there that we should re-think our opinion of her?
Just a couple of ideas and questions to add to the conversation.

I'm watching now. It's all about Leonard now. He's fighting with Maria. He's angry with Ansgar. He called Sarah to bitch about everything going on at the castle.
Seb is crying over Lydia. He tried to bribe Judith to find out where she is. BAD Seb!
And Gregor taught Luise how to swim at the lake before some outdoor nookie. (wonder if any photogs were there to snap scandalous pics?)
No sign of the boys. Apparently they are sleeping off their long night. Actually, they were there at the beginning while Lydia and Seb finished yesterday's fight.

Or is it actors bored with background scenes trying a little subtle slapstick. Christian bends down with the box, facing the wall so a startled Olli can humorously pat him on the back repeatedly to get his attention?
Certainly, if Christian were to bend at the knees to set down the box, Olli wouldn't be able to pat him on the back. granted, he could pat him on the head, and that would have been just as funny (and Christian would be able to react to the head-pats with a dirty look).
Still, it's playful, and it's affectionate in the sense that they are currently a comic pairing. What it comes down to actor choices, and actors testing their boundaries with comedy, and what the directors are allowing them to do.
(And why did it take Olli and Christian HOURS to hurry away from the wedding and get to the castle with only ONE box of decorations? Did they walk?)
--------------
regarding my comment yesterday about Thore and his choices yesterday, I though more about it and wondered whether Judith should have been sitting on the couch next to Lydia, and Christian given the business of pacing? It may have justified the "beat him up" line better, and Judith given the business with the tissues. I wonder if it would have come across "cleaner" and not nearly as awkward for all the actors to play.
Just my 2 cents.

Thoughts about today's ep: Thore was playing for comedy and it pretty much fell flat. Thore came across as "trying too hard" to play the doofus, when we know that Christian is not. The comedy really didn't work for me. Too staged. The business with the tissue, the pasta, the napkin... his alert posture really betrayed any real sense of confusion about how to help Lydia with her problem. Less is more. ETA: If you noticed Seb's pants, it would seem that cuffs on jeans are coming back into fashion. Once Chris loses the flip-flops, I expect we'll see him and Olli wearing their pants like that. Cuz all the cool kids are doing it. I did find this rather intriguing. Should we be led to believe one of the following? 1. The kids at the flat-share have odd decorating ideas. 2. Lydia, Judith, or Olli's biological clock is ticking so loudly they need fake baby pictures. 3. One of their friends has a really UGLY baby.

One of my favorite moments (of many) from the movie "Clue" is when Col. Mustard is yelling at Mrs. Peacock about splitting up to see if there is anyone else in the large scary mansion. She replies appropriately. "This is war, Peacock! Casualties are inevitable. You can't make an omelette without breaking eggs, every cook will tell you that!" " But look what happened to the Cook?!?!" Great movie. Phenomenal cast. Our brave soldiers continue to fight for their lives. Will any of the rest of them go the way of the cook? After all, as Kes so shrewly pointed out so very early in the story, all of our remaining guests were in the kitchen cooking dinner last night. Significant? At this point, yes, but that's old news. Thank you for all of the awesome comments! Enjoy the latest installment. Pray for our dear friends. CHAPTER 61 - INSULTS AND INJURIESwww.nl-fiction.com/viewstory.php?sid=250&chapter=61

I most certainly do not!
I don't have time to do that kind of thing with all of the writing and editing I'm pushing myself to do these days.

What have you all been doing during this brief hiatus? I do apologize for any anxiety and sleepless nights. I just wish my story was responsible for it. We've had some Words, now it's time to... Chapter 29 - SHOWERwww.nl-fiction.com/viewstory.php?sid=281&chapter=29

A Tanja/Eduard match might be rather interesting, wouldn't it? Actually, it would be a bit predictable. She's been down that road soooo many times. (You just want him to spank her!)

IMHO -
If they are going to break the boys up (which I'd rather they didn't, and some here insist won't happen), it needs to follow a character-driven story. It needs to be based on something relating to who they are and what they do. Plain and simple. Otherwise, we can kiss the integrity of both characters good-bye. If it's just because of something like a Miriam-kiss or a Rebecca-kiss, then it's idiotic.
However... If either of them cheat, I would rather it be Christian. As I've said before, he is the most strictly "moral" of the two, and therefore he would fall the most and then have to climb back to the pedestal his morality usually has him sitting atop. It would allow Olli to be hurt, and he could spin out of control, since the ONE PERSON he thought he could count on failed him in a big, bad way.
I've made the same comparison before several times. It's like the affair on ATWT between uber-moral Holden and the "sinner" Carly. The writers chickened out, which is a damn shame, because the actors had palpable chemistry and the writing was (strangely, for ATWT) really, really good. Do we trust the current writing staff of VL to pull it off? I would trust Thore's acting now rather than last year, and probably even more next year. Olli would have the chance to chew some scenery with HUGE blow-ups and the great hurt.
If Christian cheats, it should cheat with a man. Only because he seems more "one-track" with regard to sexuality. Yes, I know the actors say it's a "person" thing rather than a "gender" thing, but Christian is so... simply constructed in THIS respect. At least when compared to Olli. Olli has only had LTRs on VL with men, but he has absolutely no problem being a free spirit and kissing the odd woman: Jule, Coco, and probably one or two others over the years on the show.
I would rather they didn't cheat. I would rather they stayed together and got some character-inspired crisis as opposed to outside influences constantly testing their relationship. But if the writers take us down the old tired road of infiedelity... then let it be with Christian.

Here's a reeeeeally random thought:
Judith and Consti hooked up last month. He's back for the wedding and coming back again in a couple months. Is there a REMOTE possibility that they will give Judith a baby crisis? Is that what Consti returns for (instead of Maria drama)?
Just thinking too much. (mostly because of the look he gave her at the wedding, and her comment after they shagged about not being in love with him anymore)

I agree Eduard should become a series regular, it could be fun and Zam what's with the nice curtains banner? An upcoming fic... with mysterious daily clues. But man! Today Lydia was a little seductress with her "something blue", wouldn't you all agree? And what's up with the red pants lately? Did Constantin steal them from Olli's closet?

Eduard was very good today, I agree. He ought to be promoted to the regular cast. His darkness is so refreshing when compared to Ansgar's air of nonchalance, which usually comes across as boorish.
In fact, he would be the type of character you wouldn't want to cross, out of a fear of his anger. His revenge can be swift and terrible, as opposed to Ansgar's petulant childishness. Eduard has a few things Ansgar does not. Namely, class and honor. Why do you think he pulled a gun on Gregor? Wounded pride and gentlemanly pride being wounded. Gregor acted dishonorably in his eyes. Very old-school, but sooo refreshing in Hubertus' talented hands.

The scene with the boys tossing out Sebastian was very cute!
the episode would have been perfect without Ansgar & the nonsense at the Holding. Let's hope we don't have to sit through any more of his self-indulgent meetings. Ugh.
That's got to be one of the quickest wedding ceremonies I've ever seen! Charlie must rent out the roof by the minute! Sheesh!

It's actually short, sweet and to the point.
Sweet isn't quite the word I'd use to describe Olli's "friend", but overall, you make your point without straying from what the story is about.
Good job.

Only prob with making tristian so bad he's good as well as being super fucked up/scheming, is that they run the risk of turning him into Jens (...Kramer, sebastian's kidnapper). No way to redeem him after that story, even though he was a GOOD baddie!
But still... Nitty's idea of an omni-sexual villain would be awesome (if written well). Give Ansgar a run for his money in the ambition at all costs department (as the men go).
Although, the colors Eduard has been showing lately (scorned lover becoming ruthless) would be great if they could give him a full time role, mainly as the ever-present thorn in Luise & Gregor's side. (make him main cast!)

I'm down with the hope of Tristian being a ruthless bisexual schemer. That would be awesome.
The only thing is that Olli and/or Christian would have to have something that Tristian wants.
Christian has... um... um... books about botany these days and a career currently in the service of the Lahnsteins. And Olli has half of a small club that does good business (and a debt to Charlie at present). That's not such an attractive "want" item.
Sure, he could try to do what Tanja did for a short time--take Schneider's away from Charlie. But using Olli to get at Charlie was done before by Bernd? Right? (there's that May/December romance thing again)
Okay, strike that, maybe he's just horny and bi-. He's the new male slut since Gregor is with Luise. And that would mean that they'll bring Andi back looking for commitment.
So many possibilities, and (honestly) not many of them really involve Ollian except for Christian and the horses.
