Jude's love interest looks hot. I approve. I wonder if he is also a player. One thing that annoyed me about season 3 is that after Zero came out, there wasn't a single scene of his teammates acknowledging it.

I just watched A panel the cast of Riverdale www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PXymMeLMsk Casey Cott was not there nor did the showrunner nor anyone ask or address anything concerning His Character I read that Casey was invited to be part of that panel, but he couldn't make it. IMDB lists Casey as currently filming a movie. Are they finished shooting season 2 of Riverdale? Anyway, filming the movie might be why he couldn't be part of that panel. I haven't been watching the show this season, so I don't know what's going on with Kevin, if anything. I think those scenes with Moose are definitely foreshadowing future developments between them, but how far in the future? Might be a very slow burn.

I have to assume Wilson is end game. However, a lot might depend on who, if anyone, will be leaving the show. Chandler is too good an actor for the show and has a budding film career, so I suspect he will be leaving before the others. For Wilson to work, Sonny would have to leave the show as well. Otherwise, they need to come up with a reason they break up not long after getting back together. (Unless they do another recast. Hmm...) If Sonny and Paul will be staying longer, then perhaps they will be end game.
An alternative to Will getting his memory back could be him falling in love with Sonny from scratch all over again. That would actually be a better story, I think.
I haven't been watching much, so I don't understand all the Sonny hatred. He was always such a great guy. I did see the episodes where he broke up with Paul and, really, I don't think he had any alternative. He couldn't keep stringing Paul along given his feelings for Will. I mean, his dead husband came back to life. Pretty unusual and would scramble anyone. I cut Sonny a lot of slack because of that.

Apparently Jude is going to go through an emo phase. And the romance with Noah appears to not survive a year. It would be cute if in the series finale, Jude and Noah reconnect.

I seem to be one of the few people who were underwhelmed by Call Me By Your Name. This is because I finished reading the book just a day before I saw the movie. Films generally don't compare well to the books they are based on and CMBYN is no exception, IMO. Not that it's a bad movie. Far from it, but it was not as great as I was expecting. The book, CMBYN, doesn't really lend itself to a movie, actually. It's very introspective. Events happen in the book, but 90% of the book is Elio's thoughts and feelings about the events. In the movie, you just get the events, so it felt to me like I was seeing just the skeleton of the story. The book ruined the movie for me, basically. If I hadn't read the book, I would have experienced the movie on its own terms and probably would have enjoyed it as much as everyone else.
I also felt like Armie Hammer was too old for the role of Oliver. He does a good job and is perfect in most other ways, but I think someone who actually looked 24 would have been better. You could argue that his great chemistry with Timothee Chalamet makes him perfect for the role, but as far as I can tell, Timothee Chalamet has great chemistry with everyone. Another, younger actor would have worked really well, I think.
Speaking of Timothee Chalamet, he is by far the best thing about the movie and a real revelation. He's an incredible talent - maybe a once in a generation level of talent. But as talented as he is, what's most impressive about him is his amazing, ultra-endearing personality. And those two things put together in a person who is also quite easy on the eyes, makes him truly special. Several times when watching him in an interview I found myself just mesmerized by his sheer beauty - both inner and outer. In the end, CMBYN might be remembered mainly as the movie that brought Timothee Chalamet to everyone's attention.

I think it's fairly clear that romance is going to blossom again between Kevin and Moose. And soon. Maybe Midge figures out there's a connection between them and plays matchmaker or perhaps Midge is going to get hurt by Moose when his true feelings for Kevin get exposed. There are still 10 episodes left in this very long 2nd season - plenty of time to do something interesting with Kevin and Moose.

I suspect season 4 will be set several years after where season 3 left off, which should be pretty easy to do since it actually has been a long time. Zero will likely have been traded to another team, and maybe it was Jude who traded him because it was the best move for the team and that's his job. So Zude broke up. Jude will surely get a new love interest, but it might take all season for it to develop, I think. I'm skeptical about BET being as supportive of gay make-out scenes, so I wouldn't be surprised if Jude doesn't get one until the very end of the season.

Kalama really does seem awesome.
I wouldn't be surprised if the spinoff finds a way to bring Connor into its story - without Jude. That would be an easy way to generate a lot of buzz and recapture part of the fan base.

It can be found on dailymotion with a little searching. Search for Merli 3x14 They must have filmed that second part of episode that is set 7 years in the future at the very start of the season since everyone's hair is longer. They must have filmed it and then cut everyone's hair to look younger for the season shoots. That would explain that photo we saw of David Solans eating with the cast at the very start of production for the season. He was there to shoot the later scenes we see in this episode. Im really interested in your opinion, hawthorne. what did you think of the episode? Let's hear what you think, malferink.

I thought the final episode was magical. It was so surprising what they did. It was a bold move killing off Merli, but it enabled a lot of powerful scenes and gave a potent poignancy to the whole episode. I felt especially bad for Merli's mother, though. I've always liked her and I was glad they let us know in the seven years later part that she was still alive and probably getting a lot of joy from Merli's daughter, Merlina.
The transformation of Pol into a mature, secure, loving and very giving man totally committed to another man, Bruno, is the most striking aspect of the episode for me. I guess it isn't a complete surprise. Pol was sort of heading in that direction in the final episodes. That he ends up filling Merli's shoes as a great and inspirational teacher of philosophy was foretold from the beginning and perhaps part of the rationale in killing off Merli was to make that scene of Pol becoming the new Merli more poignant. It's doubly poignant seeing Pol be such a solid, wholly formed individual because of the alternatives that could have happened if Merli has not been in his life to inspire, challenge and nurture him. The series really underscored and dramatized the importance of good teachers and role models in a young person's life.
We aren't privy to how it came to be that Pol and Bruno are a committed couple. We have to assume, I think, that the threesome with Tania and Bruno ended up serving as a transition for Pol into an actual relationship with Bruno. Perhaps the death of Merli itself pulled Pol closer to Bruno. Bruno would need Pol more after his father's death and Tania, also loving Bruno, may have actually gently pushed Pol in that direction. She's a very wise and loving woman, Tania, and she was probably aware that the pairings that they ended up with were the best options for all of them. The show makes a point of showing us these two pairing side-by-side near the end. Had Tania ended up with Pol, then Bruno and Marc would be alone. Initiating the threesome, as she did, may have been Tania's way of serving as a bridge between Bruno and Pol - a gift she offered them because she loves them so much. No woman in Tania's shoes would, I think, do what she did if her plan was to hold onto Pol for herself. Did Tania settle for her second choice with Marc? Maybe. I'm not sure. They seem happy, even though they bicker. And it's not like Tania has lost Pol or Bruno. We see that a special connection remains between them. The threesome continues in a spiritual form.
Still, it was a marvel to me to see Pol appearing so comfortably gay in the scene where Bruno did his tie. Given how hyper-hetero Pol was during almost the entire series, this is quite a change. I never believed it was possible that Pol could make a commitment to Bruno, but he mellowed and grew so much over those seven years. He's now so relaxed and warm and comfortable in his own skin. Pol and Bruno's conversation when Bruno was doing Pol's tie made me think there might have been some cheating by Pol early on in their relationship, but that those days - the days of Pol being a rascal - are long gone. He strikes me now as a man who has sowed his wild oats and is now happy with the choices he's made and is ready to settle down. It was my and many others' dream ending that Pol and Bruno would end up together. I wasn't sure there was a way to do it realistically, but the show found a way.
Such a great show. I will miss it. I hope all the seasons come to Netflix.

It was shocking that they killed off Merli in the final episode. After thinking about it, it kind of makes sense in that so much of what he taught his students was premised on how brief and fragile life is. In a way, his sudden death is his final lesson to his students. Embrace life fully and live for the day. In the second half of the episode we see the influence of Merli on them. Merli's spirit definitely lives on.

Holy cow! Wow! What an incredible way to wrap up the series. Thank you for posting it, niceone! I didn't know it was available. I cried through much of the episode. Sad tears and happy tears. I love how dear they all remain to each other and how their friendships have deepened, as time and maturity does. There's a lot of things I want to comment on, but I think I'll let some time pass for more people to see the episode. Definitely check it out, even without subtitles.

Okay, from some of he posts I was reading on here, some people made it sound as if Bruno had been stalking Pol. Going so far as to say that Bruno was being disgusting for going after his friends boy friend and questioning his moral fiber. When in fact the episode that I saw showed him trying to step back from the situation. He was avoiding Pol at first and didn't even want to talk about what was going on with him until Pol pushed to know what was going on, because he does love Bruno and didn't like that Bruno was avoiding him. Bruno was honest about how he felt and decided to keep his distance from Pol. Again it was Pol who noticed that Bruno had separated himself from everyone (because of him) Pol wakes Bruno, who (understandably because of their history and partly because of their conversation earlier) takes this the wrong way and kisses Pol. Pol rejects him and when he asks if Bruno understands him, Bruno relies by saying yes but also that Pol should understand him. It is Tania, not Bruno, that realizes that Pol who may try to be faithful probably won't be. It is Tania who realizes and accepts that Pol loves and is most likely in love with Bruno. And it is Tania, not Bruno who initiates the threesome. Throughout the episode that I saw (I can't speak to what other people saw) Bruno had been trying to distance himself from the situation and that it was Pol and then Tania who kept pulling him back into their orbit. And while Tania does realize that Pol most likely can't remain faithful to her even if he believes he can. She also wanted to control the narrative. By creating a situation where Pol is "cheating" with her permission with someone she trusts and someone he loves and someone she herself is attracted to but thought she couldn't have because of his sexuality. Bruno who is hurt and confused initially goes through with it because he gets to be with the person he is in love with. The problem I see with this is that everything will be fine as long as Tania is giving her permission so to speak. However, what happens to Bruno when she decides she doesn't want this anymore. Because before all of this Pol has chosen Tania. That leaves Bruno out in the cold as "the other" just like he said earlier in the episode. I hope it doesn't come to that. I hope Bruno decides (before someone else decision for him) that he is worth more than this. He is worth more than being allowed permission to be with the person he loves. Nice post. Yeah, I have that same worry. If the threesome is to be an ongoing thing and not just that one time, then all three of them will have to be equal in the relationship. It can't be the Pol and Tania show with special guest star, Bruno. And Bruno can't be expected to hide in the shadows while Pol and Tania prance around together in public as a couple. Bruno and Pol's passionate love can't stay a secret. I suspect Pol "chose" Tania because he's not ashamed of the heterosexual side of himself. Choosing Bruno would have required coming out. But now that he is in a romantic relationship with Bruno, the next step is to come out. That is what I suspect (and hope) will happen in the final episode. Tania is an amazing woman.

Interesting. Tania instigates it. Partly because she's wise and knows that Pol will eventually look for a male outlet behind her back. Partly because she truly does accept and love Pol the way he is. And, partly, I think, because she's always had the hots for Bruno and saw an opportunity to get it on with him.

Has anyone seen the movie The Sex of the Angels (or something like that). It's a Spanish movie with a very similar theme (+ happy end)... I think Pol being with both of them would be as "in-character" for him as it would be lazy writing. When trying to please two fan bases goes wrong... I did see that movie. It could be something that has inspired the Merli writers. Curiously, one of the main male characters in the movie is also named Bruno. Hmm...

I wasn't aware there was a fight going on. This is a discussion forum. Opposite viewpoints are sometimes shared.
One thing that can be said about Merli this season is the plot has been a little erratic. They clearly intended, though, to create a situation at the end where Pol is equally torn between male and female, Bruno and Tania. It's the logical culmination of Pol's character arc. There needed to be a crisis that brought Pol's two sides into conflict. A threesome is a cop out by the writers, in a way, because Pol doesn't have to choose. It kind of works for me, though, because at least Bruno ends up in some sort of romantic relationship with Pol and, realistically, it is probably the only arrangement that could last for any length of time. I would be OK with it IF Pol is open with others about the fact that he sometimes sleeps with Bruno. A threesome in which it looks to the outside world that Pol and Tania are a couple and Bruno's role is a big secret is not satisfying to me. Everyone knows that Pol likes women, so it would seem to me that there needs to be some scenes where Pol comes out about his interest in men. A scene where he kisses Bruno in front of everyone would be great and I would be happy with the ending then.

I think Pol will choose Pol, I think he has more of a connection with Bruno. But I don't think Pol wants one person only relationship, I think he wants to be free and explore and enjoy as many people as he can. Yeah, I could see the threesome reverting to friendship for all of them in the final episode. Pol loves them too much to play games with them, he might say. Although it is also possible that the threesome is just a trasition for Pol into a relationship with a guy. If Bruno decides he can't do it and starts to leave again, we could see Pol panic and give him what he wants (even though we all know it is unlikely to endure.) I still think there might be a reason they've maneuvered Marc to be an option for Tania.

I haven't watch the episode yet, but I don't think it's fair to say that either has "claim" over Pol. Tania hooking up with Pol without checking with Bruno is not cool, and neither is Bruno going after Pol while he's with Tania. But neither of them have a claim on him. He also has all the power in the relationship, because they both want him. He's the one with the choice, not them. If he's not going to choose and they're going to agree to be in a relationship together then that's up to them. I think either Bruno or Tania will end up hurt in the final episode, but it will be Pol who will be doing the heartbreaking. It has nothing to do with who has a claim. Sorry, but using that word to describe people in a relationship bugs me, because it sounds like ownership. Okay, rant over. You are right that claim is not the best word. What I was trying to get at is that each have standing to be pursuing Pol. Bruno is not an outsider invading Pol and Tani'a space. He has an existing relationship with Pol and is within his right to be trying to continue it. I agree that it is up to Pol to decide who is out of bounds.

***** SPOILER ALERT****** I just started watching episode 13 in the original website (I understand most of it but not all since my first language was Spanish) www.ccma.cat/tv3/alacarta/merli/els-peripatetics-del-segle-xxi/video/5711186/) I used a VPN so I could watch even though I am not in Spain. However, I stopped about 15 minutes into the episode (when Bruno and Pol are chatting) once I realized the only reason Bruno went on the trip was to backstab his so-called best friend to seduce her boyfriend. He plays the part and calls himself "the other" (like "the mistress") but plays the part so that Pol will have as many doubts as possible and will betray Tania. Bruno is very good at the psychological game so that if anything happens he can always say it was Pol's fault and not his and I will not put it past him to try to salvage his friendship with Tania if there is a fight between the three of them and he will blame Pol for anything he might have done wrong (this is only my opinion). Bottom line, he continues to act in the same manner he did as in the previous episode and as soon as I saw that I decided to wait for the actual episode with subtitles to come out. This for me has gone past any issue of gay or straight and is simply a matter of human behaviour, morals, respect, loyalty, love, and friendship. We all put different value on those qualities and we all treat them differently. We are all willing to sacrifice as much or as little for those values in others but most importantly in ourselves. I am not here to say Bruno's actions are wrong for everybody. I'm simply here to say that if Bruno had been my best friend and if he did to me what he is doing to Tania, I would be horribly sad and terribly disappointed at discovering that somewhere along the line my best friend decided what he wanted was more important than our friendship and he was willing to betray me in order to get it. If my best friend was putting the moves on my boyfriend as blatantly as Bruno is on Pol and if my boyfriend welcomed those advances as much as Pol is, it would hurt and it would break my heart but I would tell them to build a life with each other, I would break up with Pol, I would cut off any friendship with Bruno, and it would be the last time I spoke to either one of them. Life is too short to have two-faced people in it since those people usually end up hurting you and making your life miserable If you were Bruno's best friend, would you get involved with the love of his life behind his back? Would you get involved with the love of his life without first talking to him - knowing that there is unresolved romance between them? What a nasty best friend you would be then. Pol and Tania had hooked up for the first time less than 24 hours before Bruno returned. It's too soon to call them a couple or to say they are together - especially since (as he admitted to Efre) Pol has equal feelings for Bruno. So is Pol really with Tania if half of him is lusting/loving after Bruno? Is he really Tania's boyfriend? Just because Pol allows his thing with Tania to be out in the open while keeping his thing with Bruno in the closet, doesn't mean Pol is Tania's boyfriend and nothing at all to Bruno. Bruno has an equal claim - perhaps more of a claim since he has a history of romance with Pol that was never officially called off. I don't see Bruno as trying to break Pol and Tania up as much as I see him - as he has always done - trying to get Pol to acknowledge him. The simple fact of the matter is that Tania has gotten involved with a guy who has an existing thing going with another guy. Pol is not her boyfriend. It's not nearly that simple.

The fact that there is still one more episode to go makes me thinks that what happens in this 13th episode might not be how things actually end - unless the final episode is just a celebratory episode with no further plot advancement. It's possible that Bruno gives what Pol wants a try, can't deal with it and prepares to leave town again. Then maybe Pol is finally forced to make a choice

Highlight to read.
I haven't seen the episode, but it sounds like my guess of a threesome proved accurate. I thought it was a possibility because neither Tania alone nor Bruno alone was going to be able to hold Pol's interest. All the people who were hoping/praying for a Pol-Bruno pairing at the end are venting, but as we discussed a bit here on this site, it wasn't very likely or realistic that Pol could ever be Bruno's boyfriend for more than a few weeks before it all came crashing down. It's true that threesomes are not common, but for these three people it might just make sense. Seriously, something like this is the closest Bruno could ever really get to being in a romantic relationship with Pol. Bruno does love Tania and she him, so perhaps there are no losers in this arrangement. I'm keeping an open mind about it. I haven't seen the actual scenes, so maybe that will change how I think of it.
And anyway... there is still one more episode to come...

Let's not forget that Tania slept with Marc literally days earlier. It's not like Pol and Tania are an established couple. And Bruno has a prior claim on Pol. He really only left town because Pol would not acknowledge their relationship or make any kind of commitment. So I see Bruno as fighting for his man.
My opinion of how it's all going to end up keeps changing. Lately I've been thinking they're going to end up a threesome.
