Flattery will get you absolutely everywhere...so use it at your own risk! ;D But seriously, In the back of my head, I was thinking why I didn't agree that there had to be more characterization of O and C, or that Olli needed to have a dream goal, and what you just said was rattling around in my skull somewhere. For me, they have enough characterization. I think I know who Olli is. I think I know who Christian is. Personally, for me, the story is their relationship. I don't even think the boxing story is about Christian achieving his dream. I think the boxing thing is simply there to show us how O and C's relationship is affected by it. It's simply something to show us how O and C 's love is affected by adversity or triumph. It's a source of drama. Otherwise every episode would be C and O making out on the couch or in the bedroom or in the shower...or.. Wait. Why do we need a source of drama again??? Ok, I've lost my train of thought now.... ;D Got it now....For me, the story isn't Christian achieving his dream, or Olli's struggles with a closeted boyfriend, or something else. These are just components that aid in the telling of THE story. Which is simply, a love story.

I know that was for Lola...but, like what? Show him going to classes a couple times a week? Or show him involved with Charlie in a business related storyline? (spolier) I mean he's in the spoilers on his own in regards to Olivia's storyline. Without Christian. (/end spolier) I tend to think Lola is right on this account. That the fleshing out that some people seem to want probably wouldn't happen in the near future, as it doesn't pertain to this storyline specifically at this time.

I was sooo dissapointed to hear that Max is going to be killed off. But like others, I'm glad that they're bringing O.B. back for what will most likely be a three hanky weeper of an episode.

This is a very good point Sheepie, which I hesitated to bring up because I thought people might not like to hear it. Which is not to say Olli isn't important obviously. But yes, I think Christian was the main focus of this storyline. I do think Olli has been focused on at various times though. Especially at the beginning few months. Once the first kiss happened though, I feel there was a shift towards focusing even more on Christian. Right now, though, I would say Olli is not being shunted aside as a second fiddle. But possibly for people who did not follow this from the beginning and were initially attracted to this story by the Olli character, perhaps there is a feeling of "I wish my guy would get more of the focus" ?? I don't know...

Lola, I didn't mean he was actively searching for Mr. Right, or a love to call his own. ;D I took him at face value when he was asked by Christian if he had a dream job, and he said no, he never did. I think he's "fulfilled" right now with Christian. Like someone who has achieved a goal or a dream come true. Because I do think that once he fell in love with Christian, it was an impossible dream for him that Christian would fall in love with him too. It's mushy, and diabetes- inducing and blah blah blah... But that's the way I see it.

I'm really not trying to be dificult. But for myself, Olli is not a one dimensional character. I guess some of you think so, but I don't. And I also don't agree that he has to be looking for more out of life than Mr. Right. Just saying that not everyone feels the same way. Or, you know, what restenergy said, much better than I did by the way! ;D

I can't. If it's a natural progression in the storyline that Olli , I don't know, wants to go back to university or something, fine. But If he all of a sudden says he always wanted to be an astronaut or something.... But I also personally, don't like the idea that a relationship is something that you only invest in and then you think it's time to collect. Like you only do nice things so that you can turn around and say "you owe me." In other words, I would actually think less of Olli if he ever said, "I helped you through boxing so now you better do X. for me" But I don't think that would happen. I think Christian would recognize himself if he needed to support Olli in something. I'm not articulating this very well. Sorry! I also don't understand why he has to have a career goal. I've said it before , but, can't his dream have been to find a man to love and who loves him in return? Maybe his relationship with Christian is his dream . Just throwing that out there...

lolaruns mentioned:
That's been remedied. Over on AfterElton, in the "Ask the Flying Monkey" column for June 10th it states:
"We even heard from Weil's co-star, Thore Schollermann....who dropped us a note after making the list's top twenty, saying, "Just want to thank you for your interest in our story on Forbidden Love! For us it is nearly incredible that you guys in the US like our story! It makes me little bit proud!"
Aww....

caitlinp, This isn't digitalspy information: it's on Hollyoaks own website. Yeah, it's mostly a given that soap actors on British soaps will leave for bigger and better things. (They hope...) Most contracts are only for 6 months to a year. Speculation is that his original contract expired months ago, and he signed on for 6 more months. So, I don't think it's a matter of desperate McDeaners not giving a crap if James leaves to get the story. I think it's a matter of, if he's leaving anyways ,do the story. My understanding of the "Sunset Ending" thingy was that from the get go, it was hoped that when James Sutton decided to leave that many McDean fans hoped the show would get Guy Burnet to return so that JP and Craig could "ride off into the sunset" together. Brian Kirkwood, (The producer of Hollyoaks) liked the idea as well, and Guy Burnet wasn't opposed to it either. So now we have GB returning for a short time , and this from Hollyoaks own website: so IMHO it's only natural to think that's what may well be coming. Opinions may vary...

caitlinp, Part of a news article from Channel 4, which airs Hollyoaks: Here's the link, there's 3 more blurbs on 3 consecutive pages. Click "next news story" www.channel4.com/entertainment/tv/microsites/H/hollyoaks/news/previous/08/06/080610.htmlI would think that we'll be seeing a much different Craig than the one who was left alone at the airport. I'll speculate that he's going to be a much more mature individual. So, I personally won't judge if it's a "step back" for JP if he returns to Craig, until I've seen what the Craig of 2008 is like.

BonobochickOh grrllll....I know. I left DigitalSpy right around the time Guy Burnett's last episode aired. It wore me out! I've only popped in once or twice to say hi to friends there, and it's scary! I will admit that I'm a Guy fan, more so than James , so I'm just happy he's back, period. ;D Anyhow...the story itself should be interesting. (Hopefully!)

There are 3 doors in main living room. The one to enter the apartment. The one near the tomato sign. And the one that seems to be causing confusion, which is the one Timo and Olli go through, Lydia screams at Judith through, Coco emerges from to ask if everything is alright the time Olli first tells Christian he's in love with him. The thing that seems to be confusing people is that we see it many times from an angle where people are sitting on the couch and the door is behind them and to the left, but it's the same door you see if someone is sitting on one side of the dining room table. Like the day Judith was playing her music over and over and you can see the door behind Christian's head while he's sitting at the table studying and Oh. My. God. I can't believe I just wasted 15 minutes of my life typing this.....

Just wanted to let people know that Nanna finished the subs and started the upload to YT a while ago and went to bed. It hasn't shown up on YT yet, so it may have failed to upload. In that case she'll re-upload it when she wakes up in the morning. If it just happens to be taking a long time and shows up in the next few hours, I'll post the link.

Ahhh...but most Europeans don't have the ingrained embarassment and mortification about sexual things that we Americans do. Most people would probably be like "Oh, they're fucking like bunnies again...how sweet." as they continue to walk down the hallway to their own room.
