Here are the Chris and Nate related spoilers for upcoming episodes (highlight below to read):
Although neither of the boys are scheduled to appear this week (commencing 16th March), I know that they’ll be involved in Daniel and Amber’s wedding (on the 18th, which is the 30th anniversary episode). To what extent, however, I’m not sure.
Wednesday 25th March 2015- 7088
Chris and Nate grow further apart over the baby.
Thursday 26th March 2015- 7089
Chris and Nate reach a stalemate
Friday 27th March 2015- 7090
Chris and Nate make a big decision regarding their relationship.
Wednesday 1st April 2015- 7093
Naomi and Tyler help mend Nate's broken heart
Spoilers courtesy of Southern Cross Media
I’m not a fan of how Chris and Nate have been depicted in recent episodes. The show could (and should) have played the conflict between Chris wanting kids and Nate not wanting kids and have the tension building up gradually, since that’s what seemed to be happening back in January. Instead, they seem to have dropped that issue (though I think it’s being implied that it is still a problem) and brought this visa scenario out of nowhere which has resulted in Nate appearing to be irresponsible by not sorting it out, and Chris being more of a nag than usual. A part of me is really hoping that the visa story is a lie that Nate’s told just so he can get out of having to go to New York and be involved with the baby.
I’m still enjoying Nate and Tyler’s friendship though, and I hope that the show continues to develop that once Chris has gone, as well as building some other friendships for Nate too. Also, I’m hoping that he gets a new job like working with Kyle as a handy-man: I’ve always found it strange that a former soldier would be working at a garden centre, it just doesn’t suit him. I also hope that the show takes advantage of Nate’s rich back-story and revisits his time in the army (not necessarily returning to the PTSD scenario, but perhaps bringing someone in that he used to serve with or something to explore it a bit more) or brings in a couple of family members to build up some continuity for the character. Either way, if the show has any sense (which it does when it wants to), it will actually do something with Nate after Chris’ departure.

Here are the Chris and Nate spoilers for upcoming episodes (highlight below to read): Wednesday 25th March 2015- 7088
Lucy returns, pushing Chris and Nate further apart.
Thursday 26th March 2015- 7089
Chris and Nate reach a stalemate
Friday 27th March 2015- 7090
A broken-hearted Chris leaves Erinsborough.
Wednesday 1st April 2015- 7093
Naomi and Tyler help Nate to move on from Chris.
Spoilers courtesy of The Perfect Blend Well, that 27th March spoiler is a bit abrupt. I was hoping that Chris would stick around for a little while after he and Nate break up; it would have been really interesting to see how they handled living next door to each other and having to face each other every day (considering that all of Chris' past love interests disappeared off the face of the earth after the break-up), but if the break-up is because Chris wants to move to New York, then there seems little point in keeping him around after he and Nate break up.There's also been a Q&A between Meyne Wyatt (Nate) and Tim Phillips (Daniel) released. It doesn't contain spoilers but Meyne discusses his feelings about the PTSD storyline and what his dream storyline would be: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rh781bdehJI

Thanks for the clip kevvoi: it is really sad to see Chris go (and they haven't wasted any time replacing him with Tyler in the opening titles). Although Nate's not scheduled to appear as a forefront character for a while, here are some spoilers that may involve him in upcoming episodes (highlight below to read): Tuesday 7th April 2015 - Episode 7097
The men of Ramsay Street form a cycling group
Monday 13th April 2015 - 7101
Cracks begin to show in the cycling group
Spoilers courtesy of The Perfect Blend and Southern Cross Media Well, I’m not sure whether that was a pleasing or disappointing exit. On the one hand, it was tied up quite well and I was glad that there were farewells between Chris and those living at number 26 (especially Kyle and Georgia) rather than it just being about Chris and Nate. However, it was a shame that his final scene was so understated, though since the show’s implying that he’ll be back (although I liked that Nate pointed out that he won’t be coming back at all) I guess that it worked in that situation. Obviously the main mistakes made were that they got rid of Chris two episodes after killing Matt off; any exit is going to look underwhelming compared to being hit by a car and dying a dramatic death. Why couldn’t they have just waited until the following week to write Chris out, once the initial shock had worn off? It also felt like there were numerous writers in charge of the past few weeks, because each time we saw Chris and Nate, it was like the characters had no idea what the issue was, especially Nate who – for a while - seemed annoyed that Chris had taken control of his future, then suddenly admitted that he didn’t want to be involved with the kid at all (even Meyne didn’t look convinced by what he was saying in the last few episodes, though I do enjoy Nate being snarky). Writing both of them out of character in the build-up to this was a bad idea, as was having the break-up being a quick affair but dragging out the goodbyes between them (though Nate giving Chris the medal was quite sweet, as was Chris thanking Nate for everything he had done for him). Anyway, whether the exit is short-term or long term (after all, James himself has said that ‘he's not ruled out a return in the future as he loves working on the show and will miss his co-stars and everyone on the team immensely’), he has had a fantastic run as Chris, who is arguably one of the most important characters to appear on the show. Not just because of what he represented, but also because he has had some brilliant storylines over the past five years (coming out, his family storylines, the car crash, the coward-punching, the baby story and his relationships) and James has come really far as an actor. I’m glad that Nate’s staying on, and according to Meyne, there’s some great stuff coming up for him, so that’s something to look forward to. Meyne also did an interview in the lead-up to the anniversary which was really fun, though it’s not particularly spoilery: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Geuyd3eNRuw

Exit interview with James Mason: www.digitalspy.com/soaps/s14/neighbours/interviews/a639255/neighbours-star-james-mason-talks-show-exit-chris-could-come-back.html#~p8Bd4npNDgruARThis was the part that surprised me the most: Well James has mentioned that in interviews before, but I kind of thought he was exaggerating. Apparently he also auditioned for the role of Andrew Robinson, but obviously he got the better deal by playing Chris instead (he probably wouldn't have been around for five years if he had played Andrew considering that Andrew left in 2013)! Anyway, here are the Nate related spoilers for upcoming episodes (highlight below to read): Monday 13th April 2015 - 7101
Susan and Karl battle it out
Friday 24th April 2015 - 7110
Susan helps Nate face his demons.
Spoilers courtesy of The Perfect Blend and Southern Cross Media As I’ve mentioned previously, I really enjoy Nate’s friendship with Tyler: I like that they’re different yet quite similar at the same time, and that Tyler gets Nate involved to some extent with his dodgy deals but is still a really fun, happy-go-lucky guy. Also, Nate and Naomi definitely need more scenes together: I loved the BEEEF moment - any reference to Meyne’s fabulous eyebrows gets a ‘thumbs up’ from me (he actually reminds me a bit of PJ Brennan in regards to the wacky eyebrows) – and they could have a fun friendship as well. I’m not sure what I thought of the idea that Nate coped with the break-up by watching his way through a TV series (and it sounded like he was watching a nature documentary or something). Considering that this is supposedly his first proper break-up and that he used to serve in the army, I would have thought they’d take the opportunity to revisit his military past and have him deal with the heartbreak in a different way (similarly to when he was digging holes back in December to help him fall asleep). However, it could be reflecting Nate’s character development that he’s reacting to the break-up in a traditional way instead of an extreme or violent one.
Anyway, here’s part two of the Q&A with Meyne and Tim (I knew that Meyne was a funny guy anyway, but he is actually hilarious at times in this): www.youtube.com/watch?v=_KeIC9Vcb4M

I knew he auditioned for the role of Andrew Robinson, what was surprising was the short role originally planned -- thankfully Neighbours allowed the Chris role to expand.

Here are the Nate related spoilers for upcoming episodes (highlight below to read):
Friday 24th April 2015 – 7110
Nate confides to Susan his fears that attending an Anzac Day dawn service with his old army battalion at the Shrine of Remembrance will trigger his post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms.
There's also been an article about an upcoming storyline involving Nate, though it's unclear when this is going to air:
Imogen sparks a war with the neighbours over what belongs on the roads – cars or bikes?
The Middle-Aged Men In Lycra (MAMIL) cycling group has created a spectacle since they started cycling around the suburb but when they decide to compete to beat each other's cycling times, they quickly earn themselves a very vocal enemy in the neighbourhood.
While speeding past Grease Monkey's, they almost crash into an overworked Imogen (Ariel Kaplan) who's distracted with her Rebecchi Law workload. Although incensed, she lets the accident slide until she inadvertently causes the group's bikes to topple over on the footpath and Nate (Meyne Wyatt) is quick to lecture her about unnecessary car journeys. Feeling patronised, Imogen tries blowing off steam until Nate again has a go at her for leaving "Hermione" parked in front of the bike rack.
A pro-cycling versus anti-cycling debate soon erupts and Imogen soon ruffles feathers as she raves about the advantages of cars over bikes. As she and Nate change the conversation to sensitive personal matters, Imogen flounces off and blindly opens her car door into Nate, who's furiously riding off. Imogen is petrified as Nate crashes to the road but when it becomes apparent he's blaming her for the mishap, Imogen doesn't hesitate to seek legal advice about where she stands!
This is definitely something I appreciate about this show: they certainly know how to balance the dark and the light, which they do with Nate really well. I'm assuming that the lack of Nate related spoilers has something to do with the break that Mayne took at the beginning of the year; those episodes he missed are coming up imminently, but I'm not completely sure.

Thanks for the clip kevvoi: it's great to see Nate having a storyline of his own, especially such a relevant one (though it did feel quite short and a bit clunky). Anyway, here are the Nate related spoilers for upcoming episodes (highlight below to read):
Tuesday 5th May 2015 - 7117
Imogen and Nate clash over bikes of Lycra, which leads to a nasty accident.
Wednesday, 6th May - 7118
Friendship blossoms for Imogen and Nate after his bike injury.
Spoilers courtesy of Southern Cross Media and The Perfect Blend
Actually, despite it seeming like they’re doing another Chris and Amber type friendship between Nate and Imogen, this actually makes more sense than Chris and Amber’s friendship (though it feels like this friendship might be a plot device like Chris and Amber’s was). For one thing, Imogen is way more mature than Amber (and the age gap doesn’t feel so large between them as it did between Chris and Amber, even though it’s probably the same), and they have links with Tyler (Nate and Tyler’s friendship, and the fact that Tyler and Imogen are having a bit of a fling) so a friendship between them isn’t too far-fetched. Plus, she’s in the midst of a love triangle thing already so it’s highly unlikely that the story will play out the same as Chris and Amber’s with Imogen falling in love with Nate as well. I’m glad they’re not forcing Nate to be friends with Kyle and Georgia as a way of replacing Chris (though he has had some fun scenes with them), though that might have something to do with the fact that both Kyle and Georgia are apparently leaving this year. However, I’d prefer if the show makes a friendship group out of all the newer twenty-something’s (Nate, Tyler, Paige and Daniel) because that’s more logical (though I can’t really imagine Nate or Tyler interacting with Daniel) than having larger age gaps between friends.

Here are the Nate related spoilers for upcoming episodes (highlight below to read):
Tuesday 5th May 2015 - 7117
Imogen and the MAMILs endure a Lyrca-loaded incident when Nate crashes into a car door. Is he hurt or can he get back on the bike?
Wednesday, 6th May - 7118
Imogen tries to get help for Nate when Terese suggests asking Georgia to give him the once-over.
Tuesday 12th May 2015 - 7122
Nate resigns from the nursery.
Thursday 14th May 2015 - 7124
Ezra puts Nate in as Sheila’s boss.
Friday 15th May 2015 - 7125
Nate finds himself in a power struggle with Sheila.
Spoilers courtesy of Soap Extra and Southern Cross Media.
Well, that's an interesting scenario: finally Nate's resigned from the nursery (I never really understood him there), but now he's the manager of The Waterhole. That's almost as ludicrous as Chris' career change from a mechanic to a trainee manager at a hotel. I'm sure it'll be clear soon enough whether this is a serious plot or played for comedy, since the spoilers are kind of ambiguous and could be implying either.

Thanks for the photos kevvoi. Here are the Nate related spoilers for upcoming episodes (highlight below to read):
Tuesday 12th May 2015 - 7122: Nate quits his job at the nursery.
Thursday 14th May 2015 - 7124: Nate’s new job puts him in a difficult position.
Friday 15th May 2015 - 7125: Nate battles with Sheila.
Wednesday 20th May 2015 - 7128: Sheila issues Nate with a challenge.
Spoilers courtesy of The Perfect Blend and Southern Cross Media
That Digital Spy article did exaggerate the accident a bit: Nate didn't even get that injured, it was just there as a bit of a cliffhanger. Anyway, the plot wasn't as awkward as I initially feared, though his and Imogen's friendship does seem to be a bit plot-driven. However, I'm glad he's getting friends of his own since most of his scenes these past nine months have been primarily with Chris, Karl and Susan. The whole cycling v driving arc was a bit weird, especially Nate's negative attitude towards driving considering that there have been several scenes with him driving Susan's car. However - like with many of Nate's storylines - they managed to intertwine comedy and more serious issues within a couple of episodes, which is a good idea.

Here are the Nate related spoilers for upcoming episodes (highlight below to read): Wednesday 20th May 2015- 7128: Sheila and Nate fling insults at each other/ Sheila and Nate join forces against Ezra
Tuesday 26th May 2015- 7132: Nate's chances for a potential new romance are sabotaged thanks to an outrageous outburst from an irate Sheila.
Here's a more detailed article about these episodes: Now aware that Nate is her boss, Sheila schemes to persuade him to fight Ezra with her but Nate's desire to impress gets in the way and Sheila is miffed when he tells her off.
Feeling guilty, Nate tries to make it up to Sheila but this only gets him in trouble with Ezra and caught between the devil and the deep blue sea, he resigns. Sheila won't tolerate him quitting and becoming privy to Ezra's plans to steal rival customers, convinces Nate to work with her to stop the new tyrant in their midst.
Discovering Ezra's secret redevelopment plans for The Waterhole, Sheila is more determined than ever to get rid of him. Sheila and Nate begin a scheme to convince Ezra they hate each other. They're soon slinging insults at each other but when Sheila calls Nate a coward for not going on dates after losing Chris, Nate resolves to do something about it. However, Sheila can't resist interfering and persuades Nate to hit on Alistair, a bar patron.
Unfortunately, Alistair's response to Nate's overtures results in a homophobic tirade that leaves Nate withering. A disgusted Sheila lashes out at Alistair. Sadly, for Sheila and Nate, the exchange has been videoed on a smartphone and when the footage goes viral, they both fret about what Ezra will say!
Spoilers courtesy of The Perfect Blend and Southern Cross Media. There’s also been an announcement of four new regular characters: www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s14/neighbours/news/a647877/all-change-for-neighbours-four-new-regulars-join-the-soaps-cast.html#~pd6F5YK735JARBIt’s likely that Ben (Karl and Susan’s grandson) and Aaron (Mark and Tyler’s brother) will interact with Nate at one point or another. Despite the rumours, I’m not going to jump to any conclusions about whether Aaron will be Nate’s love interest: it’s still too early to think about that.

Thanks for the clip kevvoi (and anthonyl): that explains why I couldn't find that clip on any of the Dailymotion accounts! Actually, in regards to Aaron, I agree with both of you to some extent. On the one hand, I reckon that Aaron and Nate would be a very attractive couple; and if they had decent chemistry, it would be even better (though I know there's more to a couple than just being 'hot' together, but that's the only reason I have right now for why I wouldn't be opposed to the idea). However, I think it's still too soon since Chris' departure for Nate to get another ongoing love interest. After all, he's explicitly said that he'd never been in a serious relationship prior to arriving in Erinsborough, so giving him two regular love interests in less than a year would be out of character (though Nate has changed quite a lot since his arrival). Give him short-term love interests and let him date around for a while by all means, but personally I wouldn't give him an ongoing love interest until at least September/October. Saying that though, whether or not Aaron is going to be Nate's love interest, I hope they don't throw them together immediately like they did with Chris and Nate; instead, they should take their time in building a relationship. In regards to anthonyl, there aren't actually that many single females on the show. In fact, all of the single ones are already involved somewhat with Mark and Tyler, so adding Aaron to the mix and having all of the Brennan's involved in the same storyline would just be a clumsy idea. Personally, I reckon Aaron will either be a love interest for Nate or Naomi (age-wise and looks-wise, they're probably the most appropriate options). Anyway, it's still early days and he's not even scheduled to arrive for a while. Obviously we'll have to keep an eye out for more information. Like I've already said, it's likely that Nate and Aaron will interact regardless of whether they're going to be paired up or not, so I guess that's something.

Here are the Nate related spoilers for upcoming episodes (highlight below to read):
Tuesday 26th May 2015- 7132: Nate has to deal with a disruptive - and homophobic - customer at the bar.
Wednesday 3rd June 2015- 7138: Kyle and Toadie help Nate pick up a new guy.
Spoilers courtesy of The Perfect Blend and Southern Cross Media
Strangely, the show has made reference to Chris several times since his departure, though it’s mainly been Josh talking about the coward-punching stuff. I did quite like Sheila pointing out that Chris wasn’t coming back, as well as the reference to Nate saying the same thing to Chris before he left; I’m glad they hadn’t forgotten that. I also liked that the writers were basically trying to get the audience on side with Sheila telling Nate to 'put himself out there' and meet new guys. And judging by the spoilers, it seems like that is going to happen.
