Thank you Mad4tv for posting those spoilers - I am a bit surprised that Neighbours released so much so early.

Here are the Chris and/or Nate related spoilers for the next couple of weeks (highlight below to read):
Monday 18th August 2014 Sparks fly between Chris and the new guy in town.
Tuesday 19th August 2014 Chris and Nate's date takes a surprising turn.
Wednesday 20th August 2014 Susan tries to help Nate and Chris.
The spoilers for the week commencing the 25th August hasn't been updated yet, but it probably will be by next week
Tuesday 2nd September 2014
The tornado wreacks havoc. (Not specifically related to either of the boys, but will undoubtedly involve them)
Wednesday 3rd September 2014
Erinsborough deals with the aftermath of the tornado. (As above)
Friday 5th September 2014
Nate helps Susan with her trauma, but is he traumatised himself?
So much for the idea that introducing a regular as a love interest for Chris would mean that there would be a gradual build-up to romance. Well, it's more gradual than Chris and Hudson, I'll give them that. I was wondering whether it would be a good idea to make 'Neighbours' into a board of its own now that they have two ongoing gay characters; it would certainly be easier to post spoilers in a separate thread to where discussions and videos are posted. It's just a suggestion, which was actually made back when Aidan was introduced, but it seems more appropriate to have it now.

Here are the Chris and/or Nate related spoilers for the upcoming episodes, courtesy of The Perfect Blend and Southern Cross Media (highlight below to read): Tuesday 26th August 2014 What is Nate's secret?
Wednesday 27th August 2014 Nate's past threatens his present.
Digital Spy has released a more detailed spoiler for upcoming episodes (I think it's this week but I'm not sure): www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s14/neighbours/news/a591802/neighbours-nate-kinski-discovery-to-shock-susan-kennedy.html#~oNVEA1V5mxUEk6The week commencing the 1st September is the tornado, so it is likely both of the guys will be involved at different points Wednesday 3rd September 2014 Susan is left in shock, but Nate comes to her aid.
Friday 5th September 2014 Susan and Nate each deal with their own trauma.
Monday, 8th September 2014 Chris wrestles with doubts about Nate.
Thursday, 11th September 2014 Nate buckles under pressure.
Friday, 12th September 2014 Chris is confronted by Susan's fears for Nate.
Digital Spy has also released an interview with Meyne Wyatt (Nate). It doesn't appear to be too spoilery, so here's the link: www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s14/neighbours/interviews/a592324/neighbours-newcomer-meyne-wyatt-on-nate-role-hes-a-mystery-man.html#~oNVEcEIq2J8iGNAside from those spoilers, I just thought I’d share my opinion on Nate so far- there’s nothing particularly spoilery here (considering that his first three episodes have already aired). Personally, I find him to be very intriguing, almost to the point where it's irritating. I do like the fact that he has a secret; it's definitely a lot more interesting than making him a nice, open guy because it means that he brings storylines with him aside from just being Chris’ love interest and makes the audience take notice of him. Plus, it’s awesome that he’s aboriginal and it isn’t an issue (on or off-screen) and that the character has connections to Ramsay Street (albeit very loose ones) to improve his longevity. It’s a shame that I’ve heard so many complaints about Meyne’s acting, and fair enough, it’s not winning any Oscars, but he did improve over the three episodes (as he and the character became more comfortable), and I felt as though because of how mysterious the character is, if Meyne had acted his lines genuinely then it would have contradicted how enigmatic Nate is, so for now his woodeness/monotone (I don't like those terms, but they're as accurate as I could get) works for the character. However, one complaint that I do have is the way they’ve handled his pairing with Chris. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they've finally brought in an ongoing love interest for Chris but I'm kind of annoyed that it was an 'instant connection' between them. For one thing, it's still too early to tell whether they have chemistry or not (though I can see a bit of a spark; I get that some people see chemistry where others don’t), and why does the connection have to be 'instant' anyway? Why couldn't they have gradually built up from a friendship to a relationship? Besides, with Nate’s introverted attitude you wouldn’t imagine he would suddenly flirt and go on a date with the first guy that he lays eyes on, particularly if he’s keeping secrets on top of that. This bit isn’t a complaint as much as a notion, but I wish we’d have seen the guys’ reactions to the fact that they’re next door neighbours; it may just be me but I’d be pretty psyched if I just found out that the person I fancied happened to live next door to me, yet they just offhandedly mentioned it during their date (by the way, who has a ‘breakfast date’ with someone they just met? It seemed weird to me) - how/when did they find out? How did they react? I would have liked to have seen it, that’s all. Personally, it just feels as though we're being forced into rooting for them, and although it's now appropriate considering that this will be a long-term storyline so we can invest in the pairing, I want to root for them because I like them, not because I feel obliged to. Anyway, I'm still trying to figure out what Nate's secret is. So far my ideas have been abuse, homelessness, anxiety and I'm now thinking PTSD. Aside from all of that, I’m looking forward to seeing how this storyline continues.

Soap World has released an article about Chris and Nate's upcoming storyline(s). Major spoilers ahead, so highlight below to read:
Domestic Violence
Chris is stunned when he’s physically assaulted by his new boyfriend Nate .
Romantic relationships have always been problematic for Chris, and despite a brief fling with Will, he hasn’t found a guy who’s totally captivated him since Hudson went to prison. That is until he met Nate Kinski, Susan’s step-nephew. Although they became attracted to each other and hooked up in quick time, Nate’s (Meyne Wyatt) recent physical assault of a stranger has left Chris (James Mason) in fear of dating a possible psychopath. When Georgia (Saskia Hampele) zealously encourages her housemate to cut Nate some slack and give him a second chance, Chris tentatively agrees, accepting that he’s truly attracted to the newcomer.
It appears that Chris was right in trusting Georgia’s advice when Nate calms a worried Kyle (Chris Milligan) through Georgia’s operation. Inviting Nate out for a drink, Chris is again given cause for concern when Nate’s erratic behaviour kicks back in, drawing Brennan’s (Scott McGregor) attention. Becoming increasingly suspicious as to the reasons for Nate’s outbursts, Brennan alerts Susan (Jackie Woodburne) who’s so taken aback by the forcefulness of Brennan’s accusations that she dismisses his concerns, until she’s doing her nephew’s laundry and finds a knife hidden amongst Nate’s clothing! Confronting the secretive stranger, a disturbed Susan and Karl (Alan Fletcher) beg for answers but Nate flips out, intent on leaving Erinsborough instead of being honest.
On his way out of town, Nate’s confronted by the sight of a disappointed Chris who responds to Nate’s revelation that he wants to kiss Chris by doing just that. Persuaded to stay in town, Nate concedes to Chris’ request to open up about his past but his explanation leaves Chris and Karl more troubled than ever. Once again unsure if he can trust Nate, Chris finally allows himself to support his boyfriend and wanting their romance to succeed, is anxious to discover why Nate has so much trouble opening up about his life’s experiences.
That question becomes even more important when Nate’s effective efforts in helping a tornado victim leave Chris further disheartened by Nate’s subsequent violent outburst. Shoving Chris hard against the wall, Nate spits that he’s tired of Chris pestering him for answers about things he doesn’t want to talk about. Shaken, Chris struggles with handling the situation and confronting his boyfriend, is only mildly comforted by Nate’s promise never to treat him that way again. Seeking solace from Susan, Nate, buoyed by Chris’ advice to speak from the heart, agrees to give a career talk to the senior students at Erinsborough High School. Unfortunately, Nate’s nerves overwhelm him and when Imogen (Ariel Kaplan) unwittingly asks a particularly confronting question, Nate’s harsh defensiveness and loss of confrontation becomes apparent leaving the event in disarray. Withdrawn and isolated, Nate rejects Susan and Chris’ help, leaving them desperate to find out what is wrong with Nate before he self-destructs.
What can I say? I'm quite surprised that this show would go there, but I'm fascinated to see how they'll handle it and how the audience will respond to it (seeing as the public's general opinion of Nate so far appears to be indifferent, hopefully we'll be able to sympathise with him to some extent through the storyline).

Here are the updated Chris and/or Nate related spoilers for the next couple of weeks (highlight below to read):
Friday, 5th September 2014 Chris urges Nate to open up to him about the time he spent in Afgahanistan.
Monday, 8th September 2014 Chris struggles to come to terms with Nate's troubled past and his own feelings.
Thursday, 18th September 2014 Chris makes an uncomfortable confession to Nate.
In regards to Difficult Diva's comment (contains hints/spoilers): Personally, I doubt that they will romanticize the storyline. Neighbours is generally quite grounded when it comes to topical issues (the cyber bullying one with Chris and Amber last year springs to mind) and have usually depicted them with a moral conclusion (I think the cyber bullying one basically had a lecture at the end about it), so they won’t be promoting this. What I am concerned about, however, is the fact that because the audience hasn't really warmed to the character of Nate yet, this storyline will just shine another negative light on him, making the audience even more opposed to him and/or the relationship. I'm definitely not saying I want people to root for this - anyway, the article doesn't specifically say that it will be fully-fledged; it could just be one moment of lashing out, leaving doubts in Chris' mind about him - but if they've brought Nate in for the long-run, doing this storyline and ruining his character and the couple in less than two months is not going to benefit anyone.
In terms of the 'hot' pairing, I doubt that the writers will sensationalise the story because of that; Neighbours has never sensationalised anything. I don't like brining other soaps into it, but they're not going to do a 'Stendan'. For one thing, Nate doesn't seem like a villain- he's damaged and introverted, but not manipulative or evil. Even Meyne's mentioned that he's a nice guy, so it's unlikely he'll use his power against Chris on purpose. They might do a Robbie and Will from River City and have Nate realise that he has a problem and work to change and to regain Chris' trust again. Plus, with Stendan, people rooted for them because of their ‘hot kisses’ and chemistry but clearly Neighbours isn’t going to be the same, so there won’t really be a reason for people to want them to be together. Again, I’m not suggesting that I want people to ‘ship’ them, but what is the point in bringing in an ongoing love interest for a storyline that may potentially destroy them? Obviously the spoilers aren't reporting anything long-term so we won't know how far this storyline will go, but hopefully Neighbours will handle it properly.

For me, I think and hope the point is to see how things develop between the characters on their own, besides just having the audience shipping them right from the get go. Perfect example was the wishing some folks had in wanting to see Deniz from AWZ paired up with that other gay character, because they desperately needed to see him in another romance with a gay man.
Now, the little bit of what we've seen regarding the new character is a valid thing that the audience should be worried about regarding how Chris reacts to what happens. I would much rather see Chris valuing his self-worth and life over just being in ANY sort of relationship with any kind of man onscreen.
That's why I do not want to see ANY sort of "Stendaning" in this new saga for Chris. Along with you feeling that this soap won't go down that road, I also think and hope that the soap won't lose focus on Chris if the audience seems to find themselves "identifying more" with Nate over Chris.
That's exactly what had happened in regards to Hollyoaks and I do not want to see it happening again with this soap. Never in my wildest imagination could I ever think something major like domestic abuse and violence could be seen as a love saga, because it involved two men instead of the "normal" opposite sex pairing. That it could be seen, described and idealized because it was "different and unique".

Here are the Chris and Nate related spoilers for upcoming episodes (highlight below to read):
Thursday 18th September 2014 Chris decides to tell Nate about Lucy.
Monday 22nd September 2014 Kyle and Georgia's party ends very badly for Chris.
Tuesday 23rd September 2014 Following his shock attack, Chris fights for his life.
Thursday 25th September 2014 Nate is unsure of his place in Chris's life.
And here's the article that goes into more depth about the episode airing the week commencing 22nd September (highlight below to read):
King hit horror
Chris is badly injured on a special night out - but who is his attacker?
Coward punch, king hit, sucker punch. They're three different ways to describe the same horrific act: punching someone without warning and often for no reason. It's a shocking action pulled straight from Australian news headlines. Now, it's being addressed in dramatic Neighbours storylines involving resident nice guy Chris Pappas (James Mason).
The night starts out A-OK for Chris. Spirits are high as the street prepares for Kyle (Chris Milligan) and Georgia's (Saskia Hampele), Gatsby-themed bucks' and hens night. Chris has been flat out organising the parties, so he wants everything to go perfectly but in typical soapie style, that's just not going to happen for him. It quickly becomes clear Nate (Meyne Wyatt) has failed to tell Chris some more vital information about his mysterious background. "Chris wants the honest Nate to come out," James, 24, tells Soap Extra. "When he tries to talk to him, he attempts to avoid the conversation. After the two have words, Nate bails, leaving poor Chris even more frazzled. Later that night at the party, Josh (Harley Bonner) is devastated to discover Amber (Jenna Rosenow) and Daniel (Tim Phillipps) are engaged. "Josh is still very much in love with her, so he's broken," James says. "He ends up drinking but because he's allergic to alcohol, he ends up completey wasted."
When Josh begins causing a scene, Chris takes him outside. To make things even more tense, Nate shows up again. "Chris is putting fires out left, right and centre," James explains. "Then a random guy walks past and sees them all arguing - he's confused about who's in the wrong. Nate tells him to bugger off." Chris then tells Josh to go home - and sends Nate on his way, too. That's when things start to take a nasty turn. "A short while after that, you see the point of view of the assailant, making you wonder which of the three guys is the attacker," James says. " "After what's been revealed about Nate's past so far, there seems to be potential he did it." A fist them slams across Chris' face and he falls into the garden and hits his head on a rock. The mystery attacker flees.
Georgia and Kyle wait for Chris to return to the party. When he doesn't show up, they head outside to find him. "Georgia and Kyle go looking for him and discover him in a bad way outside," James says. "He's unconscious with a black eye and also has bruising from where he hit the back of his head" It's clear Chris is in a critical condition but how bad was the blow? Everyone's worried because they're not sure what's happened," James says. "It's too soon to tell if he'll recover, so people are wondering if they'll lose him. "For James, he's proud of Neighbours for portraying such a serious issue. "It's so relevant to what's going on in society at the moment," he says. "It's a negative storyline but it had to be done from a realistic point of view. The fact is, not only do the victims suffer but the friends and families do as well."
Spoilers courtesy of The Perfect Blend and TV Week.
I've actually done the maths for this. I've figured out that between Chris' arrival in February 2010, and the 25th September 2014, he has been hospitalized 6 times, beaten up 3 of those times, and has been in Hospital 3 times this year (or, at least I think that's correct). This must be the equivalent of Hollyoaks' stunts; they hype it up, but - in actual fact - it's something that is hugely overdone.

No, I don't think any character on this show has been hospitalized as much as Chris. Hell, he's been beaten up and hospitalized once a year since his debut. And in two of the times he was in the hospital, he started dating the nurse in charge of his care (Aidan, Will). That won't happen again though since Chris already has a beau.

Here are the Chris/Nate relates spoilers for upcoming episodes) highlight below to read):
Wednesday 1st October 2014 Nate struggles to contain his anger towards Josh.
Thursday 2nd October 2014 Nate's tempted to make Josh pay.
Actually, since quite a lot has happened over the past couple of weeks, I thought I'd share my opinion on certain aspects of the storylines. Domestic Violence: I am very glad they've decided (for now at least) not to go down the route of a full-on domestic violence storyline for Nate and Chris, though - as I've mentioned - they would probably handle it sensitively. In fact, that scene between Chris, Kyle and Georgia where they were discussing Nate's actions is probably one of the best scenes regarding same-sex domestic violence that I've ever seen (though I've not really seen that many to be honest): it even had touches of humour (such as Kyle saying "right, well I'll shut up" after Georgia reprimanded him) as well as tacking the misconceptions of same-sex domestic abuse (like the idea that Chris can 'shove him back' and 'defend himself' because he's a guy). And, in regard to the comments that Chris and Nate should have kissed rather than hugged when Chris gave him a second chance, I actually disagree: I thought that the hug was more appropriate than a kiss would have been; you can actually see their facial expressions in a hug, and hugs are usually more emotional than kisses (especially considering the types of kisses Chris and Nate have had), and the way that it was done kind of signified a new beginning for them as a couple. PTSD: I was pleasantly surprised that the writers remembered that Chris was attacked back in 2011, then had trouble returning to the garage afterwards. However, they seemed to have forgotten that Chris has suffered several bouts of PTSD including in early 2013 when he kept having flashbacks to the car accident that he was in back in August 2012; he was even diagnosed with PTSD, then arranged a counselling session, and it was dropped and never mentioned again (in favour of the Scotty storyline, and the less said about that, the better). It would have been great to have had Chris discussing his experiences instead of having him act like he has next to no idea of what PTSD is, and having to research it. And again, I have to disagree with comments about the football. Yes, I did cringe slightly, but it kind of reminded me of the ATWT scene between Luke and Noah where they run into the bedroom and start bouncing on the bed. I'm not sure why it reminded me of that, but it did. I actually thought the football moment worked because it showed their relationship in a different light- so far they've been quite an angsty, drama-filled couple; to the point where we're left wondering why they're even together. The football demonstrated the idea that these are two guys who like sports and want to have some fun: it makes their relationship more fun. So yes, a kiss would have been better, but the football worked. Technically, this isn't a spoiler because it has aired, but if you only watch by Anthony's clips then you probably haven't seen it, so I'll put it in white. The baby plot: Another well-handled storyline, though it didn't really go anywhere; we just ended up back where we started, except now Nate knows. I thought his reaction was perfectly reasonable, it is Chris' decision, but I understand why Chris felt the need to tell him. Although it was strange that Chris was considering a future with Nate already, it is in character for him, so I could believe that he would say that Nate was 'in his future'. Nate was actually the most reasonable that I've ever seen him over this past month. He was absolutely right when he argued that they were just getting to know each other and that they should wait a while before making a decision about Lucy's offer. Luckily Chris realised that it was 'too much too soon' to be discussing it. The relationship: Overall, I'm actually really enjoying Chris and Nate's storyline. Ok, so some of the reservations I had a while ago are still there (such as throwing them together almost immediately, but I now understand why they did that- and it works) but the plots that they've had within their relationship, as I've mentioned, have been well-done. The character of Nate is really intriguing, and I'm enjoying his scenes with Susan a lot. He's had a broad range of emotions to convey, which Meyne has handled really well (I loved the scenes he had at the school, talking about his experiences in Afghanistan, particularly the "singing 'Jingle Bells' to a horse" story). It's just a shame about the lack of chemistry between Chris and Nate, because if it wasn't for that, then this coupling could be a real winner. They are getting more comfortable with each other, and it definitely helps that they've had a decent amount of screen-time (I've actually figured out that in the last 25 episodes, they've appeared in 13 of them, which is pretty impressive considering some of the other storylines that have been on screen, especially the tornado week), and the show has improved the way that they've depicted the relationship so much since the early days of Chris and Aidan (ok, it was two and a half years ago, but it's still an improvement); still a long way to go before they're on par with the straight couples, but it's getting there.
Anyway, that's just my opinion, and I know people will probably disagree, but it has been on my mind quite a lot lately, so I thought I'd just share it.

I really hope Josh's mother gets what's coming to her. I understand that she is trying to help her son in what he did to Chris but using someone's past to falsely accuse of something is wrong

Here's an article about Chris' current storyline, courtesy of Soap World. I've edited it down because some of it is repeated from the last article (highlight below to read): Wrestling with his doubts, Nate shakily vows to stay by his man's side, and his resolve is soon rewarded when Chris opens his eyes to find Nate lovingly hovering over him. Reality is quick to hit home though when Chris faces difficulty in coping with the effects of his injuries, leaving Nate channelling his frustration at Chris' attacker who, at Chris' behest, visits him in hospital to explain the reasons behind the assault.
When the answers leaves Chris upset and confused, Nate snaps and captures the assailant, driving them into bush land intending to beat them to a pulp. Wrong-footed by the person's unexpected response to his outburst, Nate recoils and confides in Susan (Jackie Woodburne) his determination to bury his anger issues. Once again tested by Chris' release from hospital, Nate's anxiety is exacerbated by Chris' increasing vagueness, forgetfulness and erratic fluctuation in mood. Holding out for as long as he's emotionally able, Nate ultimately dissolves into a panic attack, wondering if he's really ready to be Chris' caregiver, thoughts that aren't helped by Chris' visiting mother Patricia (Katerina Kotsonis), whose open questioning of Nate's dedication to her prompts an unstable Chris to question Nate's loyalty to him. Shattered, Nate explodes at an obnoxious driver, and when confronted over his road rage by Susan, he unleashes his anger on her, leaving Susan feeling nervous for her safety and Chris anxious to know if he's lost his boyfriend. It's great to see that Chris' mum will be back, though it's a shame his parents haven't been around for other important storylines that he's hand, and that they happened to be away on holiday when he was attacked (weren't they away on holiday when he was in the car crash a couple of years ago?). Either way, it'll be interesting to see them all interacting.James Mason is in the UK at the moment (so he may have an absence onscreen, though because of the filming schedule, I'm not too sure) and he did an interview about his current storylines, among other things, it's not particularly spoilery but it does hint at a few things: www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s14/neighbours/scoop/a599252/neighbours-james-mason-on-chriss-future-challenging-stories-ahead.html#~oQWp3wziQSfAAyAfter watching yesterday's episode (at Australia pace), I have to say that I adored the scene where Nate was at Chris' bedside and was talking about the things he did and didn't know about him: I was really worried that it would be OTT, but Mayne's performance was endearing (it seems like he's very good at monologues) and the writing was really realistic- they didn't make their relationship into something that it's not; they kept it simple and truthful, and I am so grateful that they didn't jump at the really obvious opportunity to have Nate tell Chris that he loves him, because it would have been way too soon in their relationship.

I forgot to upload this article last week, but I actually found it really interesting, it doesn't contain any spoilers but it gives an insight into Meyne Wyatt and Nate: www.news.com.au/entertainment/tv/neighbours-newcomer-meyne-wyatt-is-proud-to-be-pushing-the-boundaries-with-his-character/story-e6frfmyi-1227074037899As well as adding Nate to the opening titles, the Neighbours page has also added a character profile for him. Again, it's not particularly spoilery, but there are aspects of his character that are mentioned in it but haven't been explored on the show, and whether they will or not, I'm not sure. Anyway, some of the information does help to fill in some gaps about the character: Nathaniel “Nate” Kinski, early 20s, is from Karratha, WA. His father Leo is the brother of the late Alex Kinski, Susan’s second husband. Although Nate graduated from high school, he was never very academic. After working menial jobs in the mines, Nate joined the army to do something useful – he didn’t want to turn out like his going nowhere mates, taking heaps of cash to drive trucks in the mines. He wanted to make a difference. He loved the army, doing two or three tours (about eight months each time) in the infantry in Afghanistan. Nate did heavy service, and was out on patrol. He quit the army when Australia began to pull out of Afghanistan and has been travelling the world including spending time with his cousin Zeke in London, and then travelling around Australia visiting the people he served with. He’s been trying to find direction since he left the army, but nothing really measures up. Nate’s super polite. You could write him off as dull but spend a bit of time with him and you may notice that there is something deep down that you can’t quite get to. Something that is mysterious, dangerous, and profoundly damaged. He’s a quiet alpha male. He’s known he was gay from an early age but it’s never been an issue for him or his family. He arrives in Erinsborough to close a chapter of his life which he guards fiercely from his hosts Karl and Susan Kennedy.
