I haven't watched this since forever. What is the best way to catch up? I'm wondering since a number of the video are no longer online.

Here are some Chris related spoilers for the week commencing 12th May. Highlight blow to read:
Monday 12th May 2014 - Episode 6881
Chris takes a leap of faith.
Friday 16th May 2014 - Episode 6885 Chris asks Will out on a date
Spoilers are courtesy of The Perfect Blend website. He doesn't seem to appear as a major character this week (5th-9th May) or the following week (19th-23rd), so either he's going to be mourning his love life or will be a supporting character, though there is a mention of a birthday party on the 8th May, so Chris may appear in that. We'll see.

Seems like that some talk doesn't seem to be true. Highlight to read: Daniel Robinson may be paired up with Amber or Imogen with the looks like it.

I doubt it will be for Chris. Most likely for another female character. And it will be far too many guest actors to be a love interest for Chris. I mean it's good that they are showcasing a variety of gay characters, but it will be good if they pair Chris up with a regular on the show soon before James exits (if he decides to) the show.

Personally I don't really understand why people are so desperate for Chris to get a love interest who is a regular on the show. I mean, yes it would be good to treat his relationships equally (to some extent) to the straight couples, but I've been watching (and loving) this show for a good decade now so I know that that's not going to happen. If they bring in a regular as a love interest then they will be the 'endgame' couple, that is, until one/both of them leaves, because I highly doubt they would bring in a third ongoing gay character; so if they don't have chemistry or the audience doesn't like them then tough, because we'll be stuck with them. I am aware that Chris has been out for nearly four years now, so it does seem like the right time, I just don't think the show is quite ready to depict a 'proper' relationship for him yet. Saying that, as I was watching the most recent Chris scenes that Anthony upload to his column, I couldn't believe how much the show has improved from the early days of Chris and Aidan two years ago: Chris and Hudson were actually treated like any other couple (it's a pity they broke up almost immediately after that though), but I am concerned that if they bring in a regular as a love interest for him too soon, they will get them together really suddenly (like they've done with all of his love interests so far), and be pushed into the background indefinitely, then be like a less affectionate version of Will and Sonny from Days Of Our Lives (no offence WilSon fans, because I do like them as well): aka 'boring'. Don't get me wrong, I adore Chris (he's been my favourite character for ages) and I want him to have a proper relationship as much as the next guy; I just don't get the urge that people have for it to happen immanently. In spite of that, I am proud of the way Chris' storyline as a whole has developed and it is obvious that the Neighbours team is getting more confident with the storyline. I know I'll probably get some backlash for saying all of that, but it's been on my mind for a while now.

It's not about backlash, but it's taken 4 years for Neighbors to find some sort of backbone to write Chris as a young man, who's looking for love and most of the time, a majority of the development of those relationships all happen off screen.
I just think that viewers should want the same sort of involvement the show features with the straight characters, as they do not show with Chris.
Yes, it's nice that Chris is still onscreen, but it's (in my opinion) just scraps being given to the audience regarding this character's development.
When his straight pals can have numerous boyfriends, girlfriends and their joys, trials and tribulations are always shown on screen, while we can barely get Chris' end of his relationship with Hudson shown onscreen to even be full realized, before the new guy is back in his face 10 minutes later?
Also, gay characters/pairings are always put in the category of "endgame", because TPTB don't want to be accused of "shoving it down" viewers throats in having more than two gay characters on their show at one time.
The shows have to stop fearing that, because then they'll never be able to treat the gay characters the same as the straight ones.
Yet, at the same time - the audience shouldn't be so quick to accuse the show of pairing the gays together, because not all gay males are attracted to one another. I've seen that argument brought up all the time regarding "Hollyoaks" and it always puzzles me, because the straight characters on soaps are all related to each other by one or many common factors:
Affairs Marriage Parental/Sibling/Family
Gay characters should be able to just be as messy as their straight counterparts and in these soaps bases on small towns, almost everybody has had sex, affair, marriage and/or divorce with each other.

When his straight pals can have numerous boyfriends...
Sorry, slightly off-topic but if you consider the men in Chris' life since 2012 we've had Aidan, Hudson (both 'boyfriends'), Will (it appears as though it will be a brief romance), Scotty, Seamus, Manuel, Michael and Miguel (the three guys he slept with last October) plus possibly Ethan, you can't really complain about the lack of guys that he's been involved with. However, this takes me back to my point that these have all taken place virtually off screen. Do we really want that with a regular as a love interest?
Also, gay characters/pairings are always put in the category of "endgame", because TPTB don't want to be accused of "shoving it down" viewers throats in having more than two gay characters on their show at one time. The shows have to stop fearing that, because then they'll never be able to treat the gay characters the same as the straight ones.
As I've tried to explain (though unsuccessfully), Neighbours just isn't ready to have more than one ongoing gay character yet. You mentioned Hollyoaks which is arguably one of the greatest soaps in terms of the treatment if LGBT characters, but I cannot see Neighbours going down that route anytime soon. I'd like to be proven otherwise though.
*Edit: sorry about the lack of quotes, my phone won't let me see what I'm doing.

So, you're willing to dampen expectations just as long as Chris is onscreen in some aspect?
