Now those are some crazy ass hilarious Igor facial expressions. ;D Oh and isn't it heartwarming that black people coincidentally always have drugs on them?

Poor Irena Cara. I know Fame and Flashdance were a long time ago, but I didn't know she was reduced to getting sexually confused young men hooked on drugs.

Spoilers starting with ep 477 (what's the date on that?)... The hell? Also, while I appreciate Deniz in the tank and tiny boxer briefs, now the mob is coming after him due to Marian? What? And I see that Deniz is going to spend more time with his dad, which is good that he takes a break from the relationship drama, but if Marian is on a reckless spree of sorts, that won't help Deniz mature.

Well technically it's not the first time that the mob is after Marian. And Mike currently also has a storyline with evil money lenders and fixed bet people trying to kill him.

Didn't Hollyoaks have a story not long ago about Darren Osborne betting half his bar and losing? His family is also in debt. Soaps really do all tell the same story.
Deniz looks so good in the tight black underwear. I never quite know if he and Roman look better in clothes or out of them.

I think that Deniz in his underwear is the only thing I am looking forward to seeing from these spoilers...Mmmm, they both do look good dressed but I think I'd rather see them undressed...just a personal preference

I can't believe that they are 20 episodes away from the 500th episodes and at this point pretty much ALL storylines sound rather boring. Sheesh. But I'm confident that the writers will come up something good. But please, just get started already!

That girl isn't really Irene Cara, right? She does look a bit like her though. Very pretty. Drugs = Black people in the U.S. as well as Europe apparently. I was surprised that it wasn't hashish or opium which is big in Europe.

My guess is that they pick cocaine for the effects. They want characters who act hyper and over the top rather than characters who calm down.

Either would produce the same outrageous behavior, and would also better explain Deniz's tendency to get all randy with Roman (even though I hate the "I had to get high to let myself love you" contrivance). Coke just seems so 80's to me; very Miami Vice and whatnot...and it doesn't have the same "high class" indulgence status it used to anymore.

I don't know about germany - but coke is so "now" in the UK I guess everything goes in cycles. Coke used to be big here in the US (east coast) when I was in my late teens/early 20s...and then Ecstasy was the fun drug of choice for partying (well into the late 90s-2000s)--unless you were doing Special K. Out here in the West (Las Vegas), and in most of the central/Midwestern US, it seems like if you aren't a crack-head, you're on Meth. Very little "snow" blowing of late. Also, someone mentioned Roman's disappointed look just before Annette (?) walked in...and thought it might have been a mis-timed reaction to her interrupting. I got the impression that it was actually Roman realizing and admitting to himself that Deniz is only so randy and daring because he's high. That Roman can't say no to it, won't stop Deniz if he wants to kiss and make out...but that he knows it's only temporary.

There is a new spoilerset out for the week after that. Both Roman and Deniz show up in the pictures. Roman with Lena delivering a package for Richard, Deniz with his father in the poker game but no mention I think in the storyline description itself. Sorry, I'm in a hurry and therefore can't look up the numbers. Maybe the writers are taking time away to figure out how they want to sort out the mess. One can only hope cause while I like that Roman found his backbone and maybe Deniz has finally hit his nadir and his epiphany is coming, it still seems like the writers don't know where they're really going with De & Ro (and even Va). I'd love to see the spoiler pics.

That's possible. So, Marian apparently provokes Richard, they play poker and Marian wins but only by cheating or something. Richard realises, that Marian cheated, so they play again and Marian loses and for some reason Richard wants him to be his chauffeur (I guess) to humiliate Marian or something like that. So Roman and Lena bring him the uniform - very nice. Oh yeah, and Julian, Diana's dead lover, apparently phones her for some mysterious reason. That seems to be very realistic to me, as it somehow follows the direction of the voodoo dolls. Makes me wonder what will be up next... Roman flying to the top of some hill on a broom and boiling some herbs in a cauldron to make Deniz love him again? [The Harry Potter direction] Or maybe the Holy Ghost appearing in a pink wedding dress and telling Deniz to marry him? I think at this point there not quite much left, that would shock me.

Well, I'm definitely shocked by Deniz' and Roman's outfit. The AWFUL blue sweater is back and Roman's purple shirt is not much better... But thanks for posting the pics and spoilers placebo!

No, that's another awful sweatshirt. The one Deniz had on before was lavender. Who dresses the people on this show? So spoilers for next week state that Roman tells Vanessa what Deniz was up to while she was off with Ben. Makes me wonder why he does it... like does Roman just march over to her and say here's the 411 or does she get up in his face and he retorts with the list of Deniz's latest shenanigans. Hmmm.

I swear if the special suprise in the 500th episode is that Julian is somehow magically not dead I'm gonna scream. And not in a pleasant/pleased kind of way.

Knowing German Telecom I wouldn't be surprised if it was a call Julian made last year that was only just transfered these days. :lol

Hah, I knew something big would happen before episode 500.
BTW, this is a perfect example of seeing the soap formula in action. Couple gets together. Couple gets broken up. Obstacles, obstacles, obstacles, people treating each other terribly. Then they reunite and it makes the reunion all the more satisfying because you have SEEN all the things in between. You have seen how messed up Deniz was. You have SEEN how long Roman kept the faith. Bigger hurdle = bigger payoff.
People might claim not to like this formula, but in reality it always works in the end and people end up getting suckered in. And in my experience, the effect doesn't wear off till two or three reunions in (and usually the biggest supercouples aren't the ones that are the most stable, they are the ones that still have the "pull" even after the 10th or 20th reunion; which personally I don't consider much of compliment, but there you go).
It also smells soooo of typical soap formula to lay low for a while so people will just forget the things that happened and not really ask too many questions when the couple reunites because they are so happy that something good is happening at last. And it's great because it WORKS.
To give an example for Hollyoakes. If I was a HO writer and wanted to make sure everybody was happy that JP&Craig are leaving together I would do this. Kill off Kieron early on. Then send JP into no screentime hell. Then have Craig be the one who "rescues" JP from new screentime hell. By that time all people would be so upset about no screentime hell that they would forget about Craig vs. Kieron that they would just welcome Craig as finally something good happening again.

As for Hollyoaks, I think that will work for some but there are those that type of storyline set up will not work on. I don't care who JP ends up with but if the scenario plays out like that, I won't care about any rescue cause I will be too pissed with the cheapness of it all. I am not alone.
Back on-topic now...
The new spoilers sound good (though why on AE and not here?), so that should be good stuff next month. Bulle was such an asshole so I guess some things never, ever change. Poor Roman. DG was great in the gaybashing storyline. I am looking forward to both ID and DG doing wonders with this new twist.
