What's unclear to me is if the character Brad is being gotten rid of or if the character is being recast?
Unless there is some "non fraternizing" clause in their contracts, I don't see how an actor can be fired solely for having an affair with another actor/actress.
Yes, feelings get hurt but folks still have to do their jobs.
I only know of one married couple amongst the actors so that makes me sad if that's the case but I don't know the cast very well to conjecture if it isn't the obvious choice.
I hate when folks say "reverse racism" or "reverse sexism" as if there is some natural direction for hate. It all goes both ways, just some folks hating other folks has more power and impact than the others.
Sigh...

I got the impression from the sources that have reported AP being released that it won't be recast. Not sure that means Brad will be off'd as how the character will exit is still under wraps but I have a feeling with his being released and Chauntee having left last week as Bonnie that Dusty/Katie will happen. It's all murky now and the gossip thread on TWOP has been trying to figure it out: forums.televisionwithoutpity.com/index.php?showtopic=3173853&st=7005Thank you. My thoughts on that topic exactly.

I think we know too little about this to really have an opinion. Maybe the affair wasn't what got him fired, but the way he handled it at work. It could have had a negative influence on his work while the actress dealt with it in a more professional way.

Well, i think something pretty similar happens to Baltazar Getty on brothers and sisters. It's weird, but for an european it's weird that a politician have to give explanations about their personal life, and this happens on the USA everyday. Probably we only know a small part of the story, because having an affair (even with a married woman) it's a personal decision or problem, and i am not seeing in wich way this could affect to the show or the other actors
When i read Nelson Branco reports i always think that the backstage of soaps is far more interesting that what they show on screens

I'm thrilled that Lesli Kay is coming back as Molly! Maybe she can bring her daughter Abigail with her (Luke's half-sister).

I'm not surprised that actors and actresses and actors and actors hook up because they are together all the time and folks tend to have affairs with folks they work with. I'm not very scandalized about any of that but if I was an actress on that show, AP would be THE LAST dude's I'd want to get scandalous with. There are some very cutie patooties on that show. AP's just boring. Go for Billy M. That's what I'm talking about. ! AP has a movie out this summer, maybe he got big in the britches because of it. I haven't paid much attention to the other storylines. I'd love it if they could get Jade, Maddie, Allison Luke, Noah and Casey all up in each other's spheres for some meating storylines. The only "veteran" that moves me at all really is Lucinda and all those folks in between (carjack, parker, liberty henry, katie, brad whatever just does nothing for me) I quite like Dusty, Emily and Paul (minus Meg and Damien) but I haven't paid attention to any of them either. I've been on a Nuke only diet since January.

Another really strong episode. If Luke and his immediate family had all piled into that truck before it went off the cliff, the show might be stronger for it.

It's not that I hate the characters, or anything. It's just undeniable where the show has been working and where it hasn't the last few weeks.

It's not that I hate the characters, or anything. It's just undeniable where the show has been working and where it hasn't the last few weeks. Well, I'm struggling to watch Alison go through spark-free with all the men they throw at her as the younger generation heroine lead and it makes me wonder why TPTB don't either ditch the character entirely or give her an overhaul. She's like Meg 2.0 and both albatrosses seem here to stay despite not a lot of fan approval. And I don't think the actress who plays Alison is bad but the character is awful & whiny & weak - especially in all the spark-free romances cause she's had 5 men in the past year... 5! and only sparked with 1 back in summer 2008 - but continues to be put in stories that only showcase everything that people don't like about the character. I think that's still a big problem that needs to be addressed by TPTB. I get you on the Snyder family. The problem with that is that TPTB focus on the wrong people and speed through the writing. There's a lot of history that isn't being played like in the Craig-Rosanna stuff and the Stenbeck-Ryan stuff (though I am not really feeling that storyline). I am also bitter that the one love interest in a long time that Dusty has had that he's got chemistry with and isn't a pushover is leaving the show soon. So I know not to invest in that.

I quite like Ali in the current storyline, but then again, it's not focusing on her love life. I'm hoping that her scenes with Riley are building a friendship in order to create more conflict when she finds out the truth, rather than setting up some sort of Casey/Ali/Riley triangle. But even though experience has taught me never to trust opposite-sex friendships that work will stay friendships, I continue to hold out hope. And since Meg's currently dating one of Luke's dads, she'd be in the truck with the rest of them in my above scenario.

Even if she wasn't dating one of his dad's, Meg would still be stuck in your above scenario. I am going to post new spoilers in a moment. They may or may not crush your hopes about Alison.

The first time Van was nominated, Bryton McClure from Y&R won. Not Pelphrey.

Well, I'm now 6 episodes behind. I think I'm making it official and throwing in the towel. By the time I could catch up, the fall primetime season would be in swing, and it would probably be a casualty anyway.
So, down to three. We'll see if I can start catching up on Young and the Restless, or if its going too.

This holiday weekend, I blew through and caught up. (Althought I still haven't watched yesterday's episode.)
I find it fascinating that Tom is in two stories and is exactly the same character in both, but I find him deeply sympathetic in one (the Riley storyline) and totally unlikeable in the other (Ali and Bob).
You would think his strong-minded, angry, abrasive and black-and-white attitude would either win me over or turn me off, one or the other. But I'm rooting for him to give his family what-for in one storyline, and in the other, I keep yelling at the TV, "she tried to tell you! And Bob, and Casey, and Kim. And you called her a liar, threatened her job, and hinted at criminal proceedings! So Shut Your Pie-Hole!"
Audrey... does not appear to be written in a way that intends for her to be a long-term character. She's fun, though.

Neither of my CBS shows recorded today. Were they really pre-empted, or did my DVR mess up?

All CBS shows were off today for US Open coverage. They'll be back on Monday.

It's curious that the shows were off for the US Open, because no match was played due to the rain.

It was scheduled so instead they showed old matches in the place of live ones. It's happened before.

Yes i know. I think they do the same every year, and i know that at least ATWT was only three days this week. But i'm a big tennis fan too, so i know that they can't play yesterday. It's bad luck for the channel, if i remember well 1989 was the last time that US Open not ended on sunday

Have they said if this is definitely just a short arc, or if it's a try-out for a possible lengthier return?
