Besides, he seemed genuinely puzzled when Christian asked him rather than coming across like he was deflecting. I remember thinking, re that conversation between C & O, that it was meant to be remarked, felt as 'pregnant'. . . . thinking that Olli's tone and expression when responding reflected his wanting to say, but suppressing saying: "But Christian, being with you is my dream . . . " I'd have to go back and rewatch to see if there's any justification at all for this interpretation . . .

Gawd. Christian and Olli's pheromones must be on overdrive when they train together. I still cannot get over the dialogue at the No Limits scene and in the guys' last scene on the street. The look on Thore's/Christian's face is priceless. (I'm sure he smelled great too!)That's so funny, because that's what I keep thinking too!!! I know it sounds weird, but for some reason I think he'll smell great. I've never ever thought that before of a person on tv.

Or, you know, Olli's dream might be simply to find a man to love and that loves him in return....

Or to live his life freely and comfortable.
I agree it felt pregnant. But I think it was foreshadowing to explain why Olli would fall for hard for Christian and why he would want so badly for Christian's dreams to come true. Because he doesn't have a dream/doesn't know how to dream that way. Irresistible attraction like a tone deaf person falling for somebody who sings like an angel.
If this were a Jeff Noon book I would say that Olli is a dodo (from the birds who can't fly).
