They act well enough that one can read the body language and know what's going on, more or less. But it's even better when you can understand the dialog. Thanks for the subs, Nanna and Tihkon, and for the video Ivan!! ;D ;D ;D It's so very sweet. I'm all a puddle of goo.

Nanna, thank you sooooo much for getting this done today! We love you. We love Ivan and Tihkon. We love you all!!!
Of course we also love Christian and Olli.
This was so incredibly beautiful. It really just washes away the anguish over what's going on over on ATWT. I'm not even keeping tabs on AWZ/The Andromeda Strain.
What was really fantastic today was Christian's articulation of why Olli means so much to him. That he couldn't say the actual words "I Love You" pales before the fact that he was able to say why he does.
When you look at Christian before he and Olli began coming together he was kind of stuck in a rut. While his life wasn't bad, it wasn't going anywhere either. And while Coco was a pretty good girlfriend she wasn't a motivating force for Christian. Despite his macho persona he's very insecure and he was afraid to push ahead in life for fear of failure. But Olli has been very aggressive about helping Christian forge ahead.
One of the most annoying things in the world is when someone doesn't appreciate another person who makes their life better (case-in-point: Noah not appreciating Luke on ATWT). Today Christian made it clear that he knows exactly what Olli gives him and how grateful he is. There are few things that could ever be more romantic than that!
Which is no wonder Olli looked so besotted. I think that Christian's speech was more meaningful than just three words could have been.
But I feel badly for Christian in that he has to deal with the homophobic boxing culture because I think otherwise he'd be doing Greek dances (is that some kind of kinky metaphor?) all over the place. He obviously feels pain for the charade, and it's only that Olli is so willing to let it go that it doesn't drive Christian crazy.
Olli really should have become a psychologist. He has a genuine knack for knowing what to say and how to help people. Except for Olivia, but she doesn't need a shrink, she needs to be locked in a convent in the Alps or something.
Verbotene Liebe is just blowing me away with this storyline!

Gah. I'm just. That was... Christian's speech in No Limits - I'm still all choked up over it. I know that soap rules apply - and something bad has to happen now - but I don't care. After that scene, the writers can do no wrong in my eyes.

After that scene, the writers can do no wrong in my eyes. If it's anything like an American soap, the anvil drops as soon as a character says "I have never been happier in my whole life than I am right now." Without fail, that statement signals hardcore angst is right around the corner. And with that, wish me luck as I have wine and my DVR ready to play today's ATWT.

Gawd. Christian and Olli's pheromones must be on overdrive when they train together. I still cannot get over the dialogue at the No Limits scene and in the guys' last scene on the street. The look on Thore's/Christian's face is priceless. (I'm sure he smelled great too!)

Can I just say: I managed to see VL just before I left this evening (I had to see it ;D) and was standing with my jacket on, keys in my hand, and I just melted... Thanks for the clip and the lovely screencaps Ivan!!! Wow the absolutely same thing happened to me today! There I was, coat on, keys in my hand, and I found that the video was up, and I simply couldn’t leave before watch it!! Well with a little difference, my kid sister was screaming her lungs out saying she was late… but well… As always tks Nanna, Tihkon and Ivan for everything

Yeah, I noticed again today, how Olli got "the secret" out of Christian. He really is really good at this. BTW, I laughed hard when I looked up the sirtaki scene from the movie and what's the first thing I come across? A guy telling another guy "I've never loved a man more than you" (I haven't seen the movie, but I presume they are related or something; but it's still funny)

My goodness, this episode just made me meeeeeelt like wax under the fire. *sigh* They just keep me going and going and going... (Energizer bunny, is that you?). Olli never seizes to impress me. He may be quite impulsive at times (like when Christian was K.O.ed and wanted to help him up and call an ambulance (Thank goodness Charlie was there to stop him), but he definitely knows when something isn't right at all. I guess he has that "woman's instinct" in him! Wahhahah! That or he just knows Christian so well. And mann, the things that he say are always spoken in the right time and tone when it comes to encouraging people, especially Christian. Goodness. He would have been a very good psych student..... - i'm guessing.

I only hope nothing bad happens now. After their talk in No Limits and Olli just saying "I love you", in a soap all is ready for a drama to happen. Christian doing something to Olli now to satisfy that pigdog That would be just awful. I hope he'll choose the other way and let Wolle to deal with it. And don't even think about posting spoilers here to "help me" or heads will roll ;D

Honestly, I wish Christian would just tell Wolle to go fuck himself he was just hugging a friend and Wolle needs to turn his dirty mind off.

It's been many years since I watched that movie and it was great seeing that scene again. The two are not related, btw. Moreover the partners dance as equals rather than leader / follower, male / female--and it's rustic not polished--all of which I think would appeal to him. To my mind, that's an excellent explanation why he chose that dance as opposed to the tango with its very fixed gender rôles. I love the fact that they're not portrayed along popular gay stereotypes. Most gays I've met were totally regular guys.

He would have been a very good psych student..... - i'm guessing. I think I've read anywhere that Olli once wanted to study psychology, but must have been at the time when he was at VL a few years ago. What a pity he didn't! I tell you what, when I went to bed last night I still couldn't get Olli & Christian out of my mind *sigh*. It's really crazy how addicted you can get to a soap couple!! And which feelings it causes in you... I could watch yesterday's episode a thousand times and I still would be like drunk...^^

He was studying psychology, but he dropped out when he messed up an important exam and was told he would have to wait a whole year before he could repeat it and after that he sort of decided that studying just wasn't for him.

Thanks, awesome Translation Team! Another excellent episode.
The relationship has changed, eh? From just constant physical attraction, now to serious emotional attraction as well. I mean, wow! All this time, I must admit, I wasn't exactly sure that these guys weren't just in a crush. This episode shows true love. Now, I believe them fully. And, now, I too, am worried something awful will happen.
I suppose, as long as the writers can come up with something that will keep us all enthralled, the 'awfulness' could just be more external threats to the relationship that the guys withstand like an other couple would. But, of course, soap couples really get hit with all sorts of bizarre obstacles, don't they? So I suppose, since I've never really watched a soap before. I mean, witness the bizarre stuff going on with that couple on ATWT----the bboards were packed with outraged fans yesterday.
I am writing this with only one cup of coffee this morning, so forgive my rambling all over the place. But, this episode just had me mesmerized. Christian's declarations to Olli has finally, fully melted my cynical heart! Such an awesome performance from Jo and Thore. I agree with those who say they should win an award for this.

The relationship has definitely changed... I really like the playfulness that's been introduced in the relationship. Essential for any relationship to last... Not unlike Ingo and Annette's in AWZ.. one of my favourite couples in SoapOpLand. OT but... have a great time at the cabin this week-end... what's the weather like in your neck of the woods?

I have to say that I was quite sad for Olli the last time Christian asked what was his dream job, meaning something like "what are your dreams for the future?", and he said he actually never had this. It seems to me that he is kind of stuck right now (at least in this area of his life…), he is not only supporting Christian but also living for Christian, his life is, excluding love life of course!, in “stand by” – he is a waiter in his aunt bar, dropped out school, without plans … – while Chris in all about plans and big future. That makes Olli almost a luxury and adorable appendix, and that might not be healthy for their relationship…and not even for Olli! I love him, and would love to see him with new interests and big plans too!!

To be fair, Olli dropping out of college was more than 5 years ago. He has worked on a ship, has travelled the world, met a lot of people. If he is in limbo then he has been for a long time and so far it hasn't made him depressed or unhappy.
And to give an example, I think Christian and Olli's mutual friend Andi (he of the "My dream is to drive my motorcycle through South America" thing) dropped out of highschool and as far as I remember never returned. Coco's dream was to be a DJ, hardly the kind of thing that has a lot of long term stability and is likely to give you good health insurance.

Maybe this relationship will inspire Olli to continue his own dreams---because, really, everyone has had at some point a big dream. Mine was to be a guitarist in a successful rock band heh heh heh.
And if Olli had a dream similar to that, then, yeah, I can see him being hesitant to reveal it. Doesn't mean he can't change his mind and go for something anyway, now that Christian is on his way.

I'm not sure if Olli seems the type, who would have a dream and not reveal it. After all back then Christian shared some pretty personal things with him and Olli wanted to be emotionally closer to him. So why would he lie when he said he couldn't remember ever having a dream career? Besides, he seemed genuinely puzzled when Christian asked him rather than coming across like he was deflecting. That doesn't mean that he can't find something for himself in the future, I just don't get the impression that there already is something.

Yeah, I saw that somewhere. Unfortunately for me, I find it difficult to appreciate that theater of this caliber. Hey, maybe I can give it a serious look now that I know Jo is in it. But, really, lola, everyone has had a dream. I think the writers possibly dropped-the-ball on that scene because it just doesn't make sense: Olli, if he gave up any big dreams, could've at least said something like: well, when I was a kid, I always wanted to be <fill in the blank>. Of course, it could be a setup for something in the future. That would be cool. Geoff
