Oh, well, I thought they telegraphed it blatantly enough to imply that what happened was that Philip RODE Lukas. Ahem. He didn't top, he was just literally "on top."
There should be a screenshot of Philip on top with Lukas' hands down the back of his pants on Twitter shortly, I'm sure.

I guess I didn't pay close enough attention to the sex scene. That's so unlike me. Edit: Actually... I don't think we really know what happens after Philip reaches for the condom. I guess whatever we imagine happened is what happened.

Ugh, we've seen their dynamic from day one, Lukas is dominant. The ass-touching, and that giggle is when what I think Philip was putting the condom on him. Philip totally sat on it. He's wanted the D since episode 1. I can't accept anything else.
Which brings me back to how rushed and unrealistic this finale ended up being. But the arcs were satisfying. James grew as an actor over the season, and of course the boys were epic, even with Lukas having been very unlikable.
I'd still trade Bo and Tony for Anne. Carolyn Burchell was amazing.

The sex scene was a lot better and more explicit than the sex scene on Skam.

It was a good love scene, but apparently they needed to make it a tad less ambiguous as to what actually
happened, lol.

Shows usually leave those kinds of details ambiguous, and this is no exception. I'll admit that my first thought was along the lines of daleeryohm's first post on the topic (though for different reasons), but we don't really know. And it doesn't really matter. How people behave in public doesn't necessarily indicate what they like in bed, so we are free to use our imaginations. As for the rest of the episode... Jeez that was tense! Considering the kind of series this was, I really didn’t know what to expect. I suspect it's the end of the story for the boys, even if the show might continue in the future, so I would not have been surprised if one or both of them had died. I’m really glad they didn’t, but I feared they would throughout the episode. What a situation to consummate their relationship, holed up in a hotel on the run from a maniac. I would have liked to see Bo say something to Lukas about how he feels about his son’s sexuality. I know that wasn’t the focus of the series, but still. At least Bo was able to say the words to Gabe, even if he was drinking. And he did come running later and told his son that he loved him, so that’s something. I’d like to think that Lukas was basically telling Philip that he wanted to take their relationship public later that night. I guess we’ll never find out. Lukas has come along enough that he was ok kissing Philip in front of Gabe & Helen, so it's not a huge leap. Their shared situation really helped bring them closer. Lastly, I didn't think about the story logic too much, but Ryan's decision to "suicide by cop" didn't make sense. Good grief, he had just murdered Philip's mother earlier in the episode, and hadn't really shown any substantive remorse all season. So why did he suddenly decide he couldn't take it? The show really should have done more to build toward that climax. I was totally fine with Helen being forced to shoot him, but the clip really should have been in his gun. Oh, well. The crime drama wasn't really why I was watching.

I'm pretty sure they did a Reverse Jackhammer, which has a 4.3 degree of difficulty. Lukas' giggle is when he got the idea to try it. Very ambitious for a first time sexual encounter while being pursued by a crazed serial killer.

Yeah, not much that happened in the finale made sense if you tried to think about it. Philip being the top was the most surprising thing that happened. Haha, yeah. Philip topping was not what I imagined, since he has always been so passive to Lukas' demands in the past.

According to a poster over on SpoilerTv, Adi Hasak and Jennifer Cote, producers for the show, have stated that if they get renewed, they want to continue with the current characters because they're so beloved on social media, and that they're already brainstorming storylines.
So all we need is a renewal.

Oh, interesting. I'm not sure how they would continue exactly, but I wouldn't mind.

Are you sure? All I heard is that the original concept of the show is like American Horror Stories where each season is a giant reset. Would love if that is not the case, but it is hard to maintain the eyewitness concept of the show with the same characters

Yes, but I'm just passing along what was heard.
It was sold as an anthology series, but they could change it if they want I guess. And just off the top of my head, they could just introduce another eyewitness-centered subplot like what they had with the Vescovis this year, and just add a few more side characters.
And as Twitter is demanding, they want to hear Lukas tell Philip he loves him. I say that another boy needs to come along anyway to flirt with Philip. Make Lukas sweat a little bit. I'm petty.

Seems like the boys still face a lot of challenges and drama being a couple at that homophobic rural high school. That's enough for a series right there. I think they should drop the whole crime angle and reboot it as a less dark show about culture clashes in rural America. That would be very timely and relevant.

I hope that is true. There has been plenty of shows that evolved to be completely unrelated to their title. Most notably, Cougar Town

I wish they had held off announcing this a bit longer for James Paxton's sake. James is such a sweet guy. I feel so sorry for him and his family.

Sad about this since I was hearing they were trying to find a way to continue with the same cast of characters.

Okay, one half of the gay couple in the French remake is played by Jules Houplain - I think this is his 3rd gay role - while it's the second for the other half, Victor Meutelet. Both are very easy on the eyes. I wonder whether this show will take after the original or the American remake in its depiction of the gay couple. I'm hoping for the latter. They're off to a good start since the sex scene at the beginning shows more skin than even the American one, which was bounds ahead of the original. But the French series is only 6 episodes like the Norwegian original - a lot of the additional scenes between the boys in the US series are missing from the first two episodes screened.
On a related note, I discovered that HBO Europe made a 4-episode adaptation in Romanian called Valea Muta. Did anyone watch it?

Im all here waiting for someone to translate it into English. Is that guy from Hidden kisses? I only know his gay role from that movie, which others he played? Idk bout Victor tho, maybe will do some researches. I hope they will keep gay part and bad guy back story part like US ver but please, logic parts Im all for Norwegian ver, US ver has many plot holes tbh, it would be great if French ver can combine those two and make to season 2 =) P.s: Eyewitness is a good series but gosshhhh, how many versions this film will get? Which country is next? LOL

Actually, 2 episodes have already aired and the 3rd will air soon. I'm in the United States, and I was able to watch both episodes by creating an account (100% free and takes less than a minute) and using a VPN service (free in the Google Chrome extension store).

Mmmm, even with how impulsively cruel the American Lukas started out, and with him and Philip staying mostly clothed that first episode, that American adaptation just felt more intense than this one. When he sipped his beer and turned and pounced on the other one, it was cute, but then it was just a half second of make out choreo and a synced getting dressed in the tightest underwear ever. Eyewitness' Lukas had me believing he wanted to eat Philip for dinner and then breakfast the next morning with just a bit of a dry hump.
Shame about Eyewitness season 2, I miss them, and an even greater shame about Bill. My heart has been since gone out to James.
