The Swarm has a minor gay charater. I don't want to make a new thread in the subforum for other shows because his sexuality was basically only a theme in one episode.

A few shows with gay characters. I don't know how big the storylines are, so I'm gonna post them here instead of making new threads:
Warrior
Adhura
A Town Called Malice
Madres amor y vida (temporada 4)

They had a surprisingly sexy love scene including partial nudity. I'm eager to watch season 4 of Madres but cannot find it anywhere. Eric Masip plays one of the gays on that. It was supposedly on Prime but I guess only in Spain?

A small gay storyline in Everything Now. Don't get overexcited, it's queer-inclusive but largely for queer women. The gays are supporting characters with minimal airtime devoted to their relationship and they never go further than kissing.

I was just going to make a thread about this show, but after watching it I won't. Once again we have a show where lesbians are allowed to have sex but not the gay men. It's become a thing now. I have no idea why. Even the show Our Flag Means Death has a ton of lesbians this season, there's a lesbian kiss every episode, yet the gays are barely allowed to kiss. The double standard is hypocritical. It makes me sick.

I have no idea why. Even the show Our Flag Means Death has a ton of lesbians this season, there's a lesbian kiss every episode, yet the gays are barely allowed to kiss. The double standard is hypocritical. It makes me sick. I've just watched season 2 of Ser o no ser on the back of Everything Now. Both are queer-inclusive shows but I do notice two disappointing trends. When the lead is a queer woman or trans person, they foreground the leads and dole out limited airtime to the ensemble cast outside of supporting the lead. But when it's a cis gay male-led show like Heartstopper or Love, Victor, those leads get far less focus and it's ensemble all the way. It's also becoming more common for gay relationships on TV to forego sex. I'm not talking about it being depicted onscreen, but the fact that the show makes it patently clear that the characters are not even doing it OFFscreen. They're asexual; they're demisexual; they're interrupted and simply cannot find another place, any place, to have sex; they're even kidnapped by doppelgangers who break up with the boyfriend (that last one happens in Goosebumps - I didn't even see them kiss). It really makes one despair.

Corey Fogelmanis plays one of the titular Walter boys in the Netflix adaptation of YA novel, My Life with the Walter Boys. According to a review I read, his character (Nathan) "gets a sweet (if underdeveloped) romantic subplot where he clumsily attempts to woo Jackie’s friend Skylar (Jaylan Evans)". They have a kiss from caps I've seen.

Found has a gay male character. He is part of the main cast. He has a husband, but the husband is not part of the main cast, so don't expect to see a lot of them, though they did kiss, that's something.

Well, not an scripted show but a talent, but this years Operación Triunfo is full of gays. There are at least two lesbians and three gays (people spread rumours about a gay triangle but it's wishful thinking, on the other hand a gay couple seems quite possible)

The show ended last month. It was one of the longest running shows in spanish tv. It's easy to remember when it started because the first episode aired in 09/11/2001.
I don't know if Santi have a lot of airtime in the last season because it was quite short (i didn't followed the show but he was there in the last episode)

Nathan and Skylar together feels so forced. Skylar was basically badgered by his friend that Nathan's attempt at wooing, which was way too much for two people who barely know each other, to be sweet and he must give Nathan a chance.

Not a TV show, but the Netflix movie The Archies - a transplant of the comics to an Anglo-Indian hill station - features a small, but blatantly telegraphed, gay storyline for one of the supporting characters. He does not get a love story.

It must have done really well, that was a pretty quick renewal. I wouldn't have thought it from what little I saw of the show ...

Fool Me Once on Netflix has a gay character. He's one of the detectives. Sadly he doesn't get a love life. I did however like how he came out. It was a very sweet scene. I also have to give credit where it's due, because Harlan Coben's projects are always very straight. The fact that they even added a gay character at all was a nice surprise.

The BBC high school comedy Boarders has a gay regular and he has a gay romance. Of course the love interest isn't a regular. However, in a very ominous sign for the future of gay representation on British TV, he is not even permitted to KISS his boyfriend. The straight couples have sex.
