Paradise (Norwegian reality show) has a gay romance this season. I wish we had a reality show sub-section here. There are plenty of gays on reality tv.

I just binged the final season of Locke & Key which dropped today on Netflix. Some disappointment because I'd hoped there would be more of a presence for Aaron Ashmore's Duncan Locke when his fiance finally returned from abroad and married him at Keyhouse - unfortunately, that episode (the second of this season) turned out to be the only episode where either of them had a major presence. Ashmore was downgraded from regular status this season and doesn't really reappear until the series finale. A later episode this season has some gay interest. Spoilers for episode 7/season-long arc behind the tag: Ellie reveals that the final key, the Creation key, is hidden inside the mind of Gordie Shaw, one of her former classmates and now a successful patron of the arts. The Lockes are forced to use the Head key to enter Gordie's mind, which is theatrically-themed. As they explore his mind, we glimpse memories of teen Gordie coming out to his girlfriend, being rejected by his mother, and sharing a first kiss with another man on a beach. The episode ends on a bitter note when Gordie tragically succumbs to his stabbing. In the finale, we see that Matheson Academy has named its theatre after him.

Not really dealing with "gay issues" per se but there is a gay man on the regular cast of The Imperfects, which premiered on Netflix last week. Dr Alex Sarkov (played by Rhys Nicholson) is a super campy villain whose homosexuality is confirmed in the penultimate episode - he never has a love interest or shares a kiss with anothe rman. I wish it were better news, and that this kind of longstanding stereotype had been retired, but I guess some people feel the television landscape has progressed far enough that they don't even blink at this portrayal. (The show does have an asexual woman of color as one of the leads.)

Blockbuster has a bi male character named Carlos. I won't make a new thread because he only had one gay themed episode. The rest of the time he was flirting with one of his female co-workers. I watched the whole season and nothing else gay related happens.
Anyways, Carlos hooks up with a guy named Damon in episode 3. The only episode worth watching imo.

Which co-worker, Hannah? Cause it always felt like they had more of a work friend relationship. There was also ep5 where Connie and Hannah was trying to find out his type and most of the names that got mentioned are guys. Not to mention Carlos mentioned a date that night with a guy.
I think for Blockbuster, you have to keep in mind that the main romantic relationship is the one between Timmy and Eliza. The rest of the workers don't really get a love life beyond the occasional mention.

ITVX in the UK has a new teen drama called Tell Me Everything. I didn't expect any gay male content because the main cast skews heavily female (double the number of males) but apparently they do have some gay content in the latter half of the season involving the lead's male best friend Louis (Spike Fearn). After spending the first half lusting after a girl and being desperate to lose his virginity to her, he suddenly finds himself developing feelings for another guy, Kyle (Ethan Roberts). The season ends with him undecided between his two love interests. It's worth noting the female love interest is a main cast member; Kyle/Ethan is not. So unless next season sees him promoted to the main cast, I think we all know how this will end up. There's a gay supporting character in the 4-part murder drama Riptide which aired at the end of last year. Benny Turland (whom Neighbours fans will recognize as Mackenzie's late husband, Hendrix) plays the gay stepson of the lead actress (Jo Joyner from EastEnders and Ackley Bridge). His gayness is not central to the story, but rather his hatred towards his stepmother whom he blames for ending his parents' long marriage. He does share a brief kiss with his boyfriend (with whom he later fights) and in episode 3, he has a walking alibi - the guy he had a one night stand with. The show is supposed to be a little more mature with the liberal use of profanity and maybe the sight of Benny in some very small swimming trunks. (You'd think they could swing for something a bit less tame.)

I do not want created a own thread, but also the current Season4 of the german Crime Show, Blutige Anfänger (Bloody Novices), had a gay main role. The show is about young policemen and women in their training, before they became real police offizers, at the police school. But they learn like mostly in Germany the train/Schoolsystem works the best way, if you doing it also in practice, learning by doing.
ZDF Mediathek Stream
The Gay one, is Bruno, he is played by Martin Penazola Cecconi, he is Born in Venezuela, but raised in Freiburg Germany.

Watzmann ermittelt, (Austrian/Bavarian Mountain at the bavarian border) Watzmann determined. Episode 38 Trachtenwahnsinn (Fancy Dress Madness)
Another German Show, but this time only one Episode, Yes we Germans loves Crime Shows, it is another Crime Show, but this time from the first public Chanel ARD. It is about a Gay Son, a dead mother, and a new woker business competitioner, which is the boyfriend of the Gay Son, who killed the mother? So the crime is in the front, gay is backround, it gives a few touching and hugs, so dont be disappointing if there is not much more. Here if you like to watch Maybe, put the german sub on in the setting and watch it with Chrome and use autotranslation.

Cameron, the only guy on the regular cast of Freeridge (the spin-off to On My Block that was released last week on Netflix) is bisexual. He has a gay romance in some of the episodes but eventually moves on to one of the girls on the regular cast. The role of Cam is played by Tenzing Norgay Trainor, the namesake grandson of the sherpa who was first to summit Mount Everest with Sir Edmund Hillary in 1953; here's an interview with him where they tackle the topic of the paucity of bi male representation onscreen. www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a42780051/freeridge-tenzing-norgay-trainor-cameron-bisexual/

Eva Lasting (original Spanish title: La Primera Vez) is a Netflix high school period drama from Colombia, set in the 1970s. When I saw there was a gang of five male friends whose lives are upended when the girl of the title enrolls at their all-boys' school, I thought surely one of them must be queer. It takes 10 episodes (of 13) for us to find out, and it's then wrapped up very quickly and the gay character dispatched unceremoniously offscreen, playing no part in the final two episodes. Warning: the show is set in the 1970s so the gay storyline is not just brief but also rather depressing. For most of the show, the five male friends are seemingly enamoured of Eva. It's not until episode 10 that, during a party when they're all high on weed, the narrator, Camilo, stumbles across one of the group, Gustavo (Julián Cerati) giving a blowjob to another, Martin (Sergio Palau). Camilo initially keeps the secret to himself, but faced with Martin's increasingly erratic behavior post-BJ, confides in Eva. Unfortunately, they're overheard by the school bully who immediately outs Martin and Gustavo to the whole school. Martin, in a desperate attempt to save himself, accuses Gustavo of molesting him while he was asleep and brutally bashes him. Camilo is later called by the principal to attest to what he saw and shamefully corroborates Martin's account in an attempt to get Martin indebted to him and avoid his fury if Martin ever learned that Camilo had slept with Martin's little sister. Gustavo ends up suspended from school but, thanks to Camilo's liberal mother's intervention, is allowed back on the condition that he undergoes psychotherapy. Gustavo declines and decides to leave the city. Camilo guiltily pays him a visit with Eva, wanting to come clean, but Gustavo advises him against it, saying it wouldn't change his fate and he doesn't want two people to go down for it. It's strongly implied that he loves Martin, which is a highly questionable storytelling choice given the whole violent bashing and false accusation of predation. Martin does express remorse and the whole gang, plus Eva, wave Gustavo off as he leaves for a new life. The narrator says it's a shame it took all that for the rest of the (straight) group to learn acceptance.
I don't know if the actor will return if there's a second season, but they've left it open that Martin might also be part of the community because he's vehement that he's solely attracted to girls and only accepted the blowjob because he was high on weed.

Pfefferkörner (Peppercorns) Episode 239 Geheime Wahrheiten (Secret Truths) The target group is 6 up to 18 years olds. It is a kids, teenagers hobby detective show, with one case each episode and plays in Hamburg. Maybe to comparing a more authentic, realistic, Scooby-Doo show, without mystery and without Scooby. I don't really know a American or English Show, which is really comparable, to this. Just give it a try. In the new Episode, broadcast tomorrow at ARD, online before. A Teenager gets blackmaled because pictures that shows him, in love with his boyfriend. Here to watch. Mediathek NDR ARD Mediathek, Alternative LinkTurn the UT (Sub) on and watch maybe with Chrome and Autotranslation.

Sanditon has revealed one of its characters who's been on the show since season 1 is queer. It's low risk for them since they're on their final season, but I suppose they at least made an attempt at it - better than the fakeout of that other Regency period drama, Bridgerton! Here's an interview with the showrunner about the storyline. www.digitalspy.com/tv/a43568469/sanditon-s3-queer-love-story-arthur-harry/

The denouement to The Surrogacy (Madre de alquiler), a Netflix drama set in Mexico, features some gay rep. Teenager Luciano (Luis Arturo) reveals to his wicked grandmother that he is gay, leading her to suffer a stroke that leaves her locked-in. He denies her wish for him to succeed as head of her pharmaceutical empire, letting his twin half-sister take the reins instead. As far as I can tell, there is no gay romance for the 16yo character (the actor is 17 and appeared at the same time in the telenovela El amor invencible, where he met a horrifically homophobic end: being punished for rape by being trafficked to a gang of male sex abusers.)
