Maybe it's a cultural thing but we're used to slow-paced stories with not a lot of dialogue, long silences and "natural" light here in Québec so I can't really understand the complaints that "nothing happens". Small things happen that change you and your circumstances, slowly, bit by bit. I like this series a whole lot; the characters are deeply flawed and their friendships are complicated and full of history.

I'm even more thrilled Raul Castillo has been also promoted to series regular! So happy there will be a season 2, I'm way too invested in the characters to say goodbye.

Amazing! This is getting interesting. With Russell Tovey and Raul Castillo as regulars, Patrick is going to have a hard time..

Will Lynn also become a regular? I like him with Dom...they should be together!

Scott Bakula (Lynn) is starring in "NCIS: New Orleans" this fall, so I would assume that it's extremely unlikely.

If we could decide who we loved, it would be much simpler, but less magical.

Ugh, not a NCIS: New Orleans, I wish they had stayed with the spin-off idea that they had already suggested. But yay for Scott Bakula to have a starring gig.

Yesterdays episode was awesome! Agustín was (finally) kicked out, Patrick and Kevin kissed and Dom is getting further along with his business. Agustín is such a horrible person - I really wonder what they have planned for his character. Am I the only one who don't really like Patrick and Richie together? I think it's great that both Richie and Kevin will be regulars in season 2. I can't wait to see what happens!

So in last nights episode Patrick made me so nervous. His nervousness was contagious. Especially in the car ride to the wedding. I think Richie made the right decision not go though. Even though he said he was fine, Patrick wasn't ready to introduce him. That was made apparent by his talk with his mother...pretty much listing all the ways Richie wouldn't measure up to her standards (but those weren't just her standards, I believe they are his as well). I keep thinking back to what Dom said to him in the first episode, that he needs stop caring what his mother thinks - no, what anyone thinks. As for Kevin, I don't know what he wants from Patrick, does he just want to play with him? They have a connection, but I know Patrick is making an effort to keep his distance ever since he knew how serious things were with Kevin and John. Kevin and John may not be the perfect couple they seem to be.
Dom made me stressed. Dom feels like everything is riding on this pop up restaurant. I think he truly believes this his last chance to made his dream a reality. Which made him push Lynn away. I really hope everything works out for him though, because if it doesn't that might put him in a really dark place. Hopefully Lynn will be back for the opening, I think he knows it was mistake now, Doris pretty much made it clear.
Finally, Agustin and Frank. God, poor Frank. Can't imagine how it must feel to hear Agustin come clean with all those lies. He was so supportive and Agustin was so lucky to have him. I really love Frank and if this is the last we see of him, I'll be disappointed, but I really don't want him to take Agustin back. Agustin will probably move back in with Patrick and I fear for his toxic influence on Paddy's life.
One more episode!

I didn't get a nervous vibe from him in the last episode but more of a stressed one. At the moment, I just don't like Patrick and Richie together. Patrick is nervous and has a lot of issues for example with his mother. But for me, it's not only Patrick that has issues, I think Richie has some too. I think Richie is so quick to walk away. He doesn't talk to Patrick, but just leaves him without much of an explanation... Maybe Patrick and Richie could be good together at some point in the future but at the moment, they don't work together at all! I'm not sure what Kevin wants from Patrick either - maybe Kevin just thinks Patrick's cute? I'm looking forward to see what happens with Dom's restaurant in the next episode - it could turn out to be a success or a total catastrophe. Yes. Poor Frank! Agustín is such an ass. Could he even afford to live with Patrick or anybody really? Ugh. He is definitely the worst character...

"You know you say 'totally' a lot when you're nervous?" Patrick has a lot of issues to deal with before he can be in a successful relationship. I however like him with Richie. I love Richie. I don't think he can be faulted for walking away from Patrick. Their first date was a complete disaster, when he met his friends - Richie was upset that he thought Patrick was ashamed of him. And last week Patrick yelled in his face, and this was after the week before when he said to Patrick, and he was right, that it was "too soon" to meet his family. They both have things to work on together, and that's what I want to see. I was reading comments on another website, and it was funny how many people wanted Agustin off the show for the second season. Hopefully he will be bettering himself in the second season. It would be nice to like all three of the main characters and not just two and hate the third.

I was reading comments on another website, and it was funny how many people wanted Agustin off the show for the second season. Hopefully he will be bettering himself in the second season. It would be nice to like all three of the main characters and not just two and hate the third. I forgot. It's true Richie says that to Patrick in the apartment. I think, I was thinking about the car ride, when they're on their way to the wedding. Maybe he was nervous there as well but I got of a more annoyed vibe from Patrick. I like Richie as a character and I'm glad he's staying, but I don't like him with Patrick (at the moment). And if Richie thought meeting Patrick's friends was a disaster, why did he think he would be ready to meet Patrick's family? Or that Patrick would be ready for it? Why would Richie wait for the car ride to say something to Patrick about it? (and he didn't even really do that - he just wanted Patrick to relax by smoking a joint). They both have issues, but imo, they have to figure them out separately before they can be together. But we'll see how next season turns out and how the last episode of season 1 will end. Well, Agustín is not my favorite character either but I don't want him to go anywhere. I really want to like all three of the main characters but Agustín's making it really difficult! I hope we get to see him do better in the next season as well.
