Yes, Patrick has been lying to himself for months, which is why I don't blame Kevin all that much when it comes to what he'd doing to Patrick. In that Kevin is only doing what he is being allowed to get away with. If Patrick had the common sense God gave a dog, he'd have dropped Kevin a long time ago and run screaming for the hills. But he keeps falling for the same lies told to him in different ways. Like I said before Patrick is with Kevin because he's convinced himself that this is the kind of man he's supposed to be with (something that not even Augustin believes anymore after actually getting to know Richie a little). So instead of being with a man who would treat him right, Patrick has decided be with a man who has done nothing but lie to him and manipulate his feelings. He's decided to be with a man who has just gotten out of a long term relationship by cheating on his partner and choosing that partner over him more than once. He's decided to be with a man who lies with as much ease as he breathes. I don't feel sorry for Patrick, I feel sorry for the people he has so dismissively hurt to get to this point where he and Kevin are a couple (a couple of what I'm not sure). Richie and Jon deserve so much better than the two pricks they happen to have mistakenly loved. And I hope they both get better. Richie has made a start with Brady and I hope he continues to distance himself from the romantic mess that is Patrick. And I hope Jon moves on and find someone who doesn't treat him like an albatross around his neck.

I haven’t really cared who did the breaking up. Either wouldn’t surprise me, I’m just glad that Jon got out. Kevin has just seemed like someone with an eye or foot constantly out. While with Jon, he was constantly whining about his relationship and hitting on Patrick who later became his little escape. He would have been perfectly fine with Jon at home and Patrick on the side if there hadn’t been an ultimatum. Now he’s with Patrick, the one who just based on the affair, should know how he is. But who needs a reality check when you have such a perfect love to tire out all of the long lost or never experienced teenage romance tropes with?OMG...that's exactly what Patrick is doing with Kevin AND why some viewers are constantly saying "how cute" those scenes are between those two characters. They experienced "prom", the dinner at the "after prom", and the episode, in which Patrick stated that he never got to make out with anyone, underneath the bleachers. ...dating the popular jock type you might have thought was out of your league, getting to show him off as soon as you can, etc. The Patrick/Kevin fans who honestly believe in a happily ever after with this pairing have to crack me up for that reason, among others. In many ways, if the Patrick/Richie episode was called ‘Looking for the future’, the Patrick/Kevin relationship itself would qualify as ‘Looking for the past’. I don’t see the solid and mature thing they’re building for the future. Even what they're creating in the virtual realm (parallel to their relationship) is wobbly, as we saw. The show's tagline has been 'Find something real'. Everything indicates that ultimately, this is just not a Patrick/Kevin story. That’s not the story I believe the show runners are ultimately telling when it comes to Patrick; it’s just a part of it. That Patrick we see with Kevin had no room to breathe in a relationship with Richie; it was too grounded in reality and it freaked him out. As I keep saying, Patrick and Kevin have a lot in common, and it’s not really a compliment.

So, I was completely wrong. Either way, I still think at some point their little bubble is going to burst. How many episodes are left in the season?

I think there’s only one episode left. The cracks in different rock solid or longstanding relationships were showing tonight. It was interesting to see that with Dom and Doris. I think they need a bit of that once in a while, checking themselves in relation to each other, otherwise it can become unhealthy. The show insists on presenting us Jon and Richie, those elusive acts, as longing for their exes when they really each dodged a bullet. Wake them up to that instead of the yearning, they deserve that at least. As I expected, the asshole way Kevin left Jon, who’d moved his life for him, didn’t surprise me. Hopefully for Patrick, Kevin never gets tired of him or finds someone shinier. Patrick keeps talking about how it kills him that someone got hurt. I don’t even ask that of him personally, that’s more on Kevin, but he should stop saying it because there’s just been no evidence of that. How could his mom be judgmental of him and Kevin when she’s been emotionally invested outside of her marriage? Ha ha! I love how Patrick continues to avoid harsh reality by asking Kevin to spend Christmas secluded together in their new shiny bubble, away from the family thing despite what he told his mother, now that it’s been tainted by a reality he should be very familiar with. He ended up looking more judgmental in the end with that, only unlike his pretty abrasive sister, he does it on the sly. Megan also has her own issues, because despite telling some truths, she seems a bit envious of what she sees as a more carefree life for Patrick. Narcissism does run in the family as a whole. The fast pace of the Patrick/Kevin relationship won’t stop being funny to me. I expect them to get married at the end of the next episode, lol. They’ve been defending and parading the strength of their relationship so much that they’d better make it in the long haul. May they stick together and leave everyone else (Richie especially) out of the inevitable. Eddie and Agustin continue to be the ones to actually look like they’re trying to move ahead in a way grounded in reality with all of its challenges, including handsome exes. We'll see how it goes onward.

Preview of Episode 10 (Season Finale)
there better be some Richie in this episode. Raul's a regular now, and yet he appeared more in the first season than he has this season (and i know it's because he's not dating Patrick, but still...)

Eddie and Agustin continue to be the ones to actually look like they’re trying to move ahead in a way grounded in reality with all of its challenges, including handsome exes. We'll see how it goes onward. That is the amazing thing, regarding Eddie, Agustin and Frank. Frank, probably still holds some resentment, in how Agustin screwed up their relationship, but having a chance to see him, not high on drugs and doing well, had to instill a sense of "I'm doing okay/I dodge a bullet and he's getting better" relief in him. The same for Agustin. Those two, can never go back to how things used to be with each other, but they're both moving on. I also on loved, that Agustin called out Eddie on his mixed messages to him. You cannot get upset, with the friend box, when you keep me and my growing and known feelings for you, at a distance. I need to know, that you're "All In" for me as well. Patrick and Megan, were blindsided by Dana's confession, that she wants to end her 40 plus year marriage to their father. That's something that Patrick never wanted to hear, right before the Christmas holidays. Another big event, that causes him, to want to solidify his new relationship with Kevin, even more quickly. That says, nothing like true love, if you're worried that you're not making the right choice. I think that folks would cheer, if Patrick and Kevin got married on NYE. It would shock the crap out of Agustin, Dom and Doris, but then folks would say, that they're all just jealous and don't understand true love. I loved how Megan was all "You didn't give up your apartment?!" to Patrick. Folks, also keep saying, that Megan's not showing concern for Patrick, that it's all about Jon. I think that Megan is concerned about Patrick, because he's not looking at things clearly. Kevin, doing something like this to Jon, means that he could also do something like this to her brother.

I have a feeling Jon is or will be sleeping with Gus. Lol!
When Megan said she comes home everyday and sees Gus comforting Jon, that's the first thing that went through my mind. Lol!

I think that Megan is concerned about Patrick, because he's not looking at things clearly. Kevin, doing something like this to Jon, means that he could also do something like this to her brother. She pretty much said that out loud, but this is Patrick. His lack of self-awareness shone again when he equated Megan cheating on the SATs with his affair with Kevin. It reminded me of when he called out Richie’s cousin Ceci for her flippant comments as being ‘a little racist’ towards white people despite his own genuine, latent prejudices. Nice to see him and Kevin in a room unsurprisingly full of fellow lookalikes in the preview too – coincidentally all someone’s type it seems, with Kevin looking quite giddy. Everyone seems to look the same, fit in the same box, no mix and match there.

Opps. Not Patrick.

The show constantly refers to Dom being a clone, but that building has nothing but guys that look the same. "All the sameness blends in" "New meat" "I don't know your stuff" This is going to be an interesting season finale for Sunday night. On YouTube, they're referring to Kevin and Patrick's new place as Orgy Central. Hahahah.

“Looking” at that pesky reality settling in like an iceberg in the middle of the ocean. What a concept, throwing ‘I love you’s and moving in before even actually getting to know each other. That was bound to end well. This didn’t even feel like a thundering crash to me (and to anyone who wasn’t as delusional as Patrick, really), but rather like a natural progression of a faultily built train both characters set in motion. I can hardly fault Kevin for things that should have been so obvious; they certainly were to everyone else. I had to laugh at Patrick’s dumbfounded reaction to Kevin saying he was glad he cheated on Jon. Freaking priceless. It took just one pang of reality to get the both of them to rehash their whole (individual and dual) messy history all on their own. No outside parties they'd ignored or tried to prove wrong up to now to remind them of their shaky foundations and of the fact that they didn’t seek to know anything about what they each want within the relationship. Here I am, feeling sorry for neither of these fools. I like the end for both Dom and Agustin. Dom might not be as happy as Agustin, but I think he has a better understanding of himself and what he needs to do. Paradoxically, I think that by putting some distance somewhat between them, Dom and Doris brought an additional element of selflessness within their relationship. I hope it works for each of them. I could have done without Patrick running to Richie yet again, even though seeing him for 2 seconds is always welcome. Suddenly he realizes that believing in ‘love!’ isn’t everything and that trust might end up being even more grounding in a relationship. Yes, Richie is the trustworthy and reliable one. Now, get your haircut if you must and leave him alone. Nice job telling it like it is, Looking. I have a couple of gripes, but still enjoyed a lot in the writing and construction of these episodes. Hopefully the show gets that elusive third season.

Kevin's particular amusement of them, while Patrick was horrified. The "Rompford" reveal. The knowledge of seeing both Patrick and Kevin, basically wanting different things. Patrick realizing, that he went from the "new dick" to Jon's old role, in Kevin's mind. Dom and Doris, realizing that they had to give each other a chance apart, in order to still keep their friendship intact. Agustin still on not completely screwing over his life. I don’t have hope for a season three, but I'm happy how the show ended for season two.

I do wonder how (or if) they'll keep Kevin in the show as a separate from Patrick. I know that the producers like Russell Tovey, but I wonder how they can keep him on story-wise if Kevin isn't with Patrick. I feel like brief cameos at work will seem forced and not story/character driven.

Kevin definitely seems to have found his home there, his own little heaven even. His response to Patrick - of all people - pointing out the homogenous and pretty whiteness at the party was also oddly telling. His condescension, cutely infected intonations and moves like the sliding across the floor, which have become his trademark in trying to deflect or downplay a situation, were also in full display. No luck with Patrick, who'd for his part lost the memo on the likelihood of getting done to you what was done with you. Tonight's episode was delicious and delivered on all accounts for me. The Stepford Clones. Kevin's particular amusement of them, while Patrick was horrified. The "Rompford" reveal. The knowledge of seeing both Patrick and Kevin, basically wanting different things. Patrick realizing, that he went from the "new dick" to Jon's old role, in Kevin's mind. What was brilliant about the writing in this episode is that even that pairing's fans can’t in all reasonableness deny the absolute truth in it. It connected all the dots that were scattered not just since the beginning of this season, but since the very first season. Not a single lie was told in the Patrick/Kevin fight; they were no longer lying to each other or themselves. Yet it wasn’t preachy, just too real to be faulted. And as usual, the technical and crafting work was really great.
