Thanks sheepie for summarising the latest spoilers taken from that interview. Sadly I can't get the link to work. Maybe due to geoblocking. Maybe Kimba will get around to uploading it onto his site.
I think the effect on Paddy will be because people will start to talk once the rumours of Aaron being gay does the rounds. Maybe folk will begin to think the reason Aaron lives with Paddy has deeper meanings. I could imagine Chas will be the first to jump on that bandwagon and it could make life for Paddy pretty terrible.
Just been looking at some info on Maxwell Caulfield's past (as a male go go dancer) and some of his younger photos give the impression he used his looks and beautiful body to get the breaks with his career in films. Shame he's leaving Emmerdale.

Thanks a lot sheepie. I'm getting up extra early tomorrow morning to watch ED on ITV2 or the Omnibus edition later, if I fail to wake up on time.

Another thing. It almost seams like Eastenders and emmerdale are coordinating their gay story lines. When Chryed isn't on Aaron & Adam kicks off. Then yesterday no A&A, so here comes Chryed again. Then A&A X-mas day and then nothing while Chryed will climax during New Years Eve. Followed by A&A back again first week in January. hmmmmmmm... Well spotted. I read yesterday that both producers have mutual respect for each other, praising the other for how they are doing recent storylines.

If you and any one else from Gays of Daytime is indeed interested in watching the full episodes either LIVE online or by download I am most happy to be able to give you all you need to do so. In fact you can watch other UK soaps like Eastenders, Hollyoaks and Waterloo Road too. Yes, please! I've just sent a PM to you about it. ;D Have replied. Check your inbox.

Yes, indeed, Adam is straight. But how many guys who are straight at 17 years old don't one day end up in a gay relationship, falling hopelessly in love with another guy. Any child who is spontaneous and isn't brainstormed by his parents loves both male and females. It's society that indoctrinates us all and confuses us. I, more and more believe this is what will happen where Adam is concerned. I love Emmerdale, have , like carld2 and Sheepie, done so for years, but at no time it is better than it's been in the past year. Tonight's episode was one of those hopelessly boring filler episodes they throw in between stories but for those who get involved in the whole village story it is avery contageous soap. I can't be one of those superficial types who can only follow the gay s/ls, and, although at times, some characters in any soap bore one to death, it's far better to submerge oneself, into a soap like Emmerdale. There are so many very good looking hunks plus such interesting characters like Paddy involved. Those who continue to follow won't regret it, it's gonna be a terrific year ahead.

Anyone notice elswhere the actor who played DAZ appearing pretty revealingly just in his underwear in the Gay Times? Seeing he left ED under a cloud, what better way to offer him a return than the only option to do so was to play out a roll as Aaron's love interest. Afterall, Daz too had somewhat strange sexual inclinations. It's actually his twin brother Elliot Tittensor who is in Shameless. Luke Tittensor played Daz Thanks Sheepie, I thought it was Luke to start with but several sites showing the photo on GT say it was Elliot. Still either one would do me! ;D

The one thing against these two lads ever getting together is the fact in real life Danny and Adam T live together. That would raise issues that both lads may find a bit too much to take on. i.e. are the two of them actually gay. I still am living in hope though they do come together as it just makes sense.

I don't think you're reading too much into the scene, but I would be very angry if the writers were teasing us. They'd sure lose a lot of viewers if they were teasing on such a hot s/l.
I'm sure if Adam were straight he'd have kind of smiled to himself and shook his head at seeing Aaron and Holly kissing. You're right in he doesn't seem at all bothered about Holly getting hurt. He definitely seems to have a vested interest in Aaron's case unless he thinks that his sister isn't reliable in a relationship. Just have to hope that Danny and Adam T were deliberately not letting on what is going to happen.

I don't know with you Duskysoda! Just wait till you watch tonight's episode and then post again that it's boring. Far from it. This storyline is going to be one of the best yet, but not if you're one of those hit and run types, who lacks patience. ;D

"Handbags at dawn" is an expression that is used a lot in England. It's not necessarily a gay reference. It is said to have it's origins from the time Maggie Thatcher was British Prime Minister. Maggie is famous for her handbags, shopping bags and was a tough cookie in any argument or discussion. She was always up for a fight for what she wanted. "At dawn" refers to a duel as in olden times. It's used a lot in sport where players get involved in childish, girly like disputes on the field. After when asked about what it was all about they'll often refer to it "being handbags"
Official definition: An allusion to a duel (pistols at dawn); handbag being a Thatcherite reference.
Don't read too much into "Aaron's your man" as in the UK we use this expression to refer to who is the person you should address yourself to. Can also be "she's your girl, she's your woman" meaning the best person to refer to, ask or who knows best. In this case, Ryan was new to the village whereas Aaron knew the area better, where to get the parts.
Adam, at the time, had fallen out with Aaron and wasn't keen on his help. although he did later come back to him.

The fantastic thing though sheepie is that from both sides they still consider the other as their mate. "They're still mates!!" I loved that and think there is still a long way to go but who knows?

Sheepie, I raise my hat to you for a truly excellent rant and summary of just about how everyone must feel today. I don't think I've read a better put post to show the frustration yesterdays opening scenes and spoilers for the future leave with us all. I think we're overwhelmed by what they say will be an original s/l and I know myself I've tried to think out what they'd have in mind. This was the reason, for my posting about a possible attraction, fascination by a young character such as Will Wylde.
Surely it is the inability to connect easily with one's true source of affection that creates easy options for a young teenage, such as that would be for Aaron.
20 odd years ago Eastenders caused a sensation when 38 year old Colin fell for 20 year old Barry. Ratings exploded to 17 million whereas they only stand at about 6 - 8 million today. At that time the age of consent was 21 and the storyline did do so much to have the age reduced to 16 as it stands today. It caused revolution but kept the audience gripped for a couple of years.
Colin was 15 years older than Barry and at the time their relationship shocked, was frowned upon, and was condemned under the law. Aaron is 17 coming on 18, whereas Will is 12 coming on 13. An age difference of 5 years but you're not going to tell me in real life that 13 years old don't end up having relationships, crushes with 17/18 year olds. Think back to your own first encounters and the strong desire of a youngster, whether male or female for the older person.
A hint of what I thought may happen came from Will having an incredible almost worshiping of Ryan Lamb after Ryan rescued him from the stable. Of course, in reality Ryan was Will's half brother. I didn't give it too much thought at the time but in the light of the new Aaron s/l it may have been purposely played out for several episodes for a reason. It did give a hint at Will's capacity of hero worship for the older guy.
Aaron roams the forest and dales with the dog or when he is depressed, looking for answers. On such an occasion maybe he encounters Will, who is having one of his fits, or in trouble. Maybe the production will show an attraction, a really trying situation for Aaron, which he'll resist but be sorely tempted. This, for me, is the only original like storyline I could come up with, which will educate and show a reality in the coming to terms with a young gay's emotions and struggle to come to terms with his situation.

Its a bit disgusting though, Aaron & Will In no way was I suggesting a physical sexual relationship between Aaron and Will Wylde, but an interest, as in a soul struggling with his sexuality and attraction to someone of the same sex. That can be a father figure, an attraction to one's own self, one's ideal, or a friend as with Adam. A type of Thomas Mann or Hermann Hesse angle where desire for the forbidden, for that part of Aaron's own persona, unconsciencous self, one's own past growing up in a emotional maze and confusion takes hold. The script writers are searching for new angles, not the usual repetition of other s/l. For those who mentioned Andy Sugden, I can tell you that Danny Miller hangs out a lot with Kelvin Fletcher, appearing at charity fund raisings and playing rugby together. So maybe his original attraction for Victoria was for Andy or Daz, who again may return to the program. Andy's mighty mixed up and his past homophobic reaction may hide deep rooted unexpressed desire towards men.

No one has come up with the pedophile s/l where the confused Aaron is concerned. Having been rebuffed by Adam he's surely not going to go for someone more challenging, unless that person is gay/bisexual and heads in Aaron's direction.
I see the prospective interest of Aaron being the close to puberty Oscar Lloyd who plays Will Wylde, the young ex public schoolboy son of Natasha and Mark Wylde. It's the one storyline that will cause a sensation and send the audience numbers rocketing

Sorry stl29tide but 6 months ago I broke the news on here about Adam Thomas joining Emmerdale and ran videos of the Ryan Lamb story line on here. I posted the link to an interview when he stated he was lined up to become Scarlett's boyfriend. Scarlett is lined up to inherit a fortune on her 18th birthday and in many ways resembles Adam's mum Moira.I've found it amusing how everyone's been getting so worked up on Adam and Aaron for the past few weeks when it has no sexual relation at all in the future s/l. When I posted no one gave a damn bar Carld2. Aaron's future relationship is going to surprise most on here who know Emmerdale.
