I agree. They should tell Sean and Eileen as soon as possible. People will probably find out anyway by the way they're acting around each other. Also, the longer they wait the more guilty they'll look. Sean and Eileen will probably think Billy cheated on Sean with Todd, but that isn't the case at all. I'm happy they have Tracy who can set the record straight. She knows the truth, that nothing happened between them until Billy broke up with Sean. As for them getting caught, well.. there is this spoiler (highlight to read): Todd and Billy have a close shave.I could see Eileen jumping to the wrong conclusion about Todd and Billy and wanting to support Sean her friend. So Todd and her have a huge row over Billy and she says all sorts. And no matter what Todd says she doesn't believe him that nothing happen, until they were both single and it was all innocent. That they fought their feelings and neither of them wanted to hurt Sean. I can see Todd being really upset that so when at work Tracy notices how upset he is and he fills her in to what happen. Being Todd's friend, Tilly supporter, and a mother herself. I could see Tracy taking it upon herself to march right over to Eileen and setting her straight without Todd asking her to. SInce she had a somewhat front row seat to what happened between the boys and she know Todd fought his feelings and tried to stay away. That nothing happened until she helped it to happen because she could see they both fancy the pants off each other as she puts it. And just wants them to both be happy. I read the spoilers again.. (Highlight to read): Eileen does find out about their relationship over the cab radio (WTF?! how is that even possible?) and she angrily drags them out of the cab. She is furious with Todd and she urges them to tell Sean. Todd tells her he's never felt this way for anyone before and Eileeen softens, but she still says they need to tell Sean.
My view on the spoiler is that maybe Eileen gets the wrong idea at first, thinking they cheated on Sean. But when Todd tells her he has feelings for Billy he also says that they didn't cheat on Sean and that Billy broke up with Sean before anything happened between them. |

Cute scenes in today's episode. Todd's face lit up when he got a text from Billy so Eileen naturally suspected that he's dating someone  She still doesn't know it's Billy though. Billy came to see Todd in the flower shop, but of course Tracy being the c*ckblock she is had to come in and ruin the moment, sigh. I'm glad they planned a trip to Formby to get away and spend some quality time together, and I'm especially glad it was Todd who initiated it. He clearly likes Billy a lot PS: only thing lacking was a kiss, but I wasn't expecting a kiss from the spoilers anyway. |

I really don't understand why they aren't more popular as a couple, especially with kisses like in yesterday's episode. I know you can't force someone to like something, but it's still a shame. Oh well.. maybe they'll be more popular eventually, or at least I hope so. It's still early, they haven't been together for very long.

I was speed watching Billy and Todd's story and Sean has already once accused them of doing the dirty back when Todd was helping Billy with Lee and everything that was going on with Jason and Sarah. Considering how Billy acted back then, Sean is probably going to think they have been doing it behind his back since then. When of course it wasn't until very recent and Billy and him were already over.

(We need to see more of Todd and Tracy's friendship, she is probably the only cheerleader in their camp) I do think Eileen's fella, whose name I'm forgetting is being a wolf in sheep's clothing and making things worse by letting Sean believe the worse. When I'm a firm believer that Todd and Billy haven't even spent the night together. Just some very serious kissing and maybe some adult rated cuddling. Since Billy wants to take things slow and I don't think either wanted to just jump into bed right after Billy broke up with Sean. They both care deeply for Sean and don't want him hurt. Well more than they already will when he finds out about their relationship. I believe Corrie is prewatershed, so I doubt we will see much. But I just love that Billy and Todd act like any normal couple. They get giddy with each other, they touch each other and not in just a romantic sexual way, they share kisses like it's nothing. Growing up in America and considering my only gay soap couple growing up was Luke and Noah from ATWT this just means so much to me. Maybe it's because Daniel is an openly gay man and I do think he has some input with the powers that be behind the show on Billy and Tilly, but they feel like a genuine couple (with the same treatment of any straights) and it's just so wonderful to see. |

I will be discussing spoilers here, just so you're warned. You can stop reading if you want. I need to spoil some things for it to make sense. Anyway.. I'm pretty sure the preview clip is from after Sean saw them being intimate (well.. affectionate probably is the better word). Here is the spoiler pic of Sean finding out about them. The geoblocked clip is of Billy and Sean in the church. Sean is calm but very sad/upset and Billy just tries to listen. Sean reveals he saw Billy with Todd and that he himself shouldn't be surprised. Billy says "you deserve an explanation" and Sean just says he knows what he saw (aka them being affectionate aka them being a couple). Billy says he never wanted Sean to find out like that. Sean says part of him wished he would say "stop imagining things". Billy says "let me explain" then clip ends. Honestly the clip was very short and didn't reveal very much. You get to see more of the aftermath of Sean finding out in the other clip I linked (the one of Todd & Billy on the couch). Todd and Billy technically did nothing wrong, you're right. In hindsight they probably should have waited to get together until after they had told Sean, but like Todd said they can't help how they feel. They didn't cheat on Sean. Heck.. Todd even lied about his drunken confession just to protect Sean because he didn't want to hurt him. He didn't want to break them up. And yes, they're only together because Billy did break up with Sean and Tracy forced them to be honest about their feelings for each other. I agree Todd and Tracy's friendship is amazing, and something I'd like to see more of. Phelan, Eileen's fella, is a known villain. He definitely has a reason for making Sean think it's worse than it is, he basically said they've been doing it in his house (well.. Eileen's house but he lived there too). That isn't true at all. Todd and Billy haven't had sex yet. You're right when you said it's because they don't want to hurt Sean. Also, Billy wanted to take it slow because "it's who he is". I laughed watching the clip I showed you though when Sean said "sordid night" and Todd was like "I wish". He wants to have sex so badly, lol. But he waits because he's serious with Billy and respects his wish to wait. About Phelan, he doesn't like Todd because Todd is onto him. I think that's why he lied. He probably has a bigger plan, but I haven't figured out what it is yet. According to Kate Oates we will see more of the Todd/Phelan feud in the future. The touching, the hand holding, the kisses, the way they look at each other, them just being affectionate in general. It just makes it seem more real. I've never seen a more convincing gay couple on tv, at least not on a soap. I feel like on many other soaps they skip the "honeymoon phase", you just get to see bits and pieces of the relationship and for some weird reason much of the gay relationships seem to happen off screen. It's different with Todd and Billy though, we actually get to see it play out on screen, and I love it. Yes, they are absolutely treated the same as the straight couples, and it's wonderful. Like you I do wonder if maybe Daniel had some input in it, I wouldn't be surprised. I have to say though that Bruno does a wonderful job too. You can see he goes all in with the kissing and he's straight in real life. It truly is wonderful to see the actors doing their job well. Other gay couples played by straight actors are not as convincing. From what I've seen most gay tv couples work if at least one gay character is played by a gay actor. There are exceptions, and this is just my opinion, but it's just something I've noticed. BTW, I know the soap is pre-watershed, and I'm not expecting much when it comes to a sex scene, but I will say the soap has far surpassed my expectations so far, with the kissing etc, so hopefully it won't let me down when it comes to the eventual (hopefully) sex scene. I expect seeing something like we saw in the July 11 episode, basically Todd undressing Billy on the bed while making out, then cut to the next day of them in bed, or if that is too daring, of them getting dressed. I would be totally fine with a scene like that, and considering that is basically where they cut it off in the July 11 episode, I think that's realistic. Then again, I guess everything is up in the air now with a new producer, so we'll have to see. Sadly, many things may change, and not for the better. The sex scene might happen off screen, I hope it won't though, they have made such a big deal of Billy wanting to wait, so we better see it! lol. |

I understand that Sean is upset, like you said, this is the second guy Todd takes from Sean. However, I believe Todd when he says he never meant for this to happen. I think he is genuine with Billy. He never wanted to hurt Sean, which is why he took back his drunk love confession. He was willing to sacrifice his own happiness in order to not hurt Sean. If that isn't character development I don't know what is. |
