I thought he was a little too stiff, even though I love the actor. But it's got to be hard to come in mid-storyline, especially when you're having to play blind, and deliver your lines just standing around, staring into space instead of engaging visually with the other actors. Hopefully he'll get into the swing of it.

Well in defense of him, he was thrust into this very high profile storyline with loads of expectations.....say what you may but CE's performance was kick-ass.... new guy has big shoes to fill. he will prolly relax with time.

The new Adam looks much more mature than the old one. But he's still damn hot!!  So let's see how the storyline plays out. It's getting exciting. |

i'm digging new adam. excited to see what happens. i love the slow reveal as well. lots of build up. i'm glad the first storyline for rafe isn't a love story. nice to see a gay character who's visible and involved in an interesting storyline that isn't about his coming out or bringing someone else out of the closet.

No comments on the new Adam, Bonobochick? I was curious as to what you'd think of the Adam/Heather scenes, since that's one of your ships. The vibe was different with Adam/Heather. It wasn't bad but it wasn't as strong as with CE. MM's not a bad actor at all (I enjoyed his character on Veronica Mars even though he was a total asshole), though unlucky him to be thrown in when so much is going on and he hasn't had a chance to grasp the character totally. It all seemed a bit off in Thursday's ep.  I am sure given a little time it'll be ok, but since I am not really enamored of this storyline in the first place, my overall feeling is just to wait and see. |

About the new Adam, I wasn't really into CE perhaps all that happened a month ago has conditioned how I perceived him as an actor and so it was quite easy to enjoy so much Michael performance in his first appearance. And thank you so much Bonobo for posting the links to the previews Adam's expression in the 29th preview was absolutely priceless! |

Well, Canadian viewers have said this of today's episode (airs Monday in the US):
We see very little of Adam & Rafe's hookup. Rafe moves in for a kiss, before we cut to the next scene. (No actual liplock is seen.) When we come back to the guys, Adam is buttoning his shirt and Rafe refastens his tie. Adam is visibly uncomfortable with what went down. Rafe says he understands if Adam is confused since he is dating Heather. After Rafe leaves, Adam calls Heather and they jump in bed together. (Damn, I hope he showered in between boinks!) Is this a sign that Adam really is confused, having found gay sex an unexpected turn-on, or is he just trying to erase the memory of the lengths he had to go to in order to protect his scheming?
Personally, I'm disappointed at how little they showed. Maybe expecting to see the guys shirtless in bed together was setting my expectations too high, but I thought we'd at least get a proper, onscreen kiss. Anyway, I'm waiting to see how things develop.

Okay, it freaks me out that Canada is a day off. Aren't these shows designed to have a flow through the week, with the big reveals built up to Friday? Doesn't this make Thursday the climax of the week for them?

If you watch today's clip, that is exactly what Adam is doing.

I don't see any way the Rafe/Adam pairing could have long-term legs. It's so clearly a cat-and-mouse game, the question is just who is the cat and who the mouse.
The worst thing you can do for any story with a logical conclusion is to keep it going past that logical end because you like it. Ask any comic book fan about The Clone Saga. Better yet, don't, because they'll curl up in a ball and start crying.

Well in this case I was thinking more on the logical soap story line of good guy falls for bad guy and unexepectedly redeem him in the end, so I kinda liked a lot Adam/Rafe storyline.

While I have nothing against Adam playing Rafe (and possible vice versa) I did hold out some hope that Adam might actually find himself enjoying the gay sex and entertaining the idea that he might be bisexual. I'm not sure how people will react to the newest rumored s/l, which I had some inkling from interviews with the castmember involved would be the eventual outcome, given how some are already complaining about Rafe's relative youthfulness of appearance to nuAdam, let alone Philip III!
