I think both versions of the show are excellent, with one exception -- I prefer the characterization of Mickey in the US version. Sure, he may be a punk - but at least he is self-confident punk. I get tired of the original Mickey always being put down for not being smart enough or talented enough etc, by his family-- I wish he would develop the confidence of the American version. The British version of Mickey is perhaps too loyal to his family - to the point, where he does everything he can to keep the peace and loses sight of his own happiness. Being a self-confident punk just means he's like a thousand other characters. Mickey's stories ran out of steam in the UK version a few years ago but the flaws are what make him interesting. |

Showtime has had several promo videos posted on it's youtube channel, where Lip does truth and dares from people who submit them. I thought this one was amusing -- Lip is dared to start an acappella group. Ian is one of the singers.

I found this clip on another blog earlier today... I think i've watched it at least 30 times now... especially the part when mickey says: "Do you wanna chit chat more or do you wanna get on me"
Finally we might get some real action between these two!
On a side note... I'm working on the last episode of season 1 and it should be up soon. I am going to upload Ian's Clips from Season 2 as well a few days after the episode airs.
