Too little of Josh and Nate this week I do like the storyline though. It seems very real. I think it's totally believeable that Finn would get jealous of Josh now spending all his time with someone else. He isn't homophobic at all, he just finds it sad that he has kinda lost his best friend! And I can totally understand that, but I also understand Josh for wanting to try something on with Nate. They obviously like each other and it will be Josh's first boyfriend. Too cute! I just wish they would show them kiss or something.. I used to hate Lauren, but now I kinda like her.. she is awesome! She would make a great hag for Josh. Lauren's one liners are hilarious as well: " That hole in your face isn't just for eating crisps you know." Ahh, I love Lauren!

I agree with you about too little Josh and Nate, but that isn't too surprising... From what I can tell, Waterloo Road usually focus on one or two characters each episode, with two to three ongoing storyline... so it is actually a good sign that the Josh/Nate storyline is somewhat ongoing... if this keep going, we might actually see Josh more than the two episode or so he was on for last half of the season...
I agree that it is very believable about Finn... he is worried that he will lose Josh as a friend to Nate, and you can see part of that at the last scene... I actually thought that Josh was a little insensitive with the way he explained Finn's presence in the last scene when Nate came in... I was actually hoping that Josh would say he wanted both of them there because he wanted the two to get along with each other....
I actually kinda like that they are taking it slow, and I'm sure they will show them kissing soon....enough...
Love the preview for next week... look like we will be getting a lot more Josh/Nate, which is great... I just hope Josh doesn't disappear like before after the Josh-centric episodes

I just hope Josh doesn't disappear like before after the Josh-centric episodes Yeah, but I have just two more things to add.. firstly, they HAD the opportunity to kiss right then and there. It was basically the perfect moment, but nah.. so it was kinda annoying. Secondly, I wish they could establish some sort of a relationship or wahetever before we got the parent drama. It seems kinda cliche and out of place too.. It seemed like Nate was out and proud all along? It didn't seem like Nate was all that bothered about being gay.. wouldn't he be more bottled up (is that the right expression?) if his parents had a problem with him being gay? I just think it's kinda confusing..

I agree they wasted a perfect moment for them to kiss... but hopefully this does not mean that the show will be shying away from a kiss eventually... they did show the Josh/Finn kiss before...
I guess it could be that Nate is out at school but not at home... depending on his family situation, he could easily be completely out at school, but his family still have no idea that he is gay... Also, if we are lucky, maybe Nate's parent is mad with Josh because they caught them kissing... after all, I can't think of many reasons how Nate being gay would be outed to his parents, especially in connection with Josh...

Maybe Finn is behind it? I honestly don't know.. Finn seemed hurt at the end of the last episode, but yeah.. maybe I am reaching a bit here. lol. I certainly hope his parents caught them kissing, that would be good. But then again.. I kinda doubt it

a lot happened... but I keep on feeling like I am missing out on the other half of the story... Like, when they Nate and Josh became boyfriends... they were just close friends last episode, but this episode, they were boyfriends already... There was also the many scenes where they were interrupted before they kissed... Basically, I liked the episode, but it could be so much better...
Looking at the preview, it really doesn't seem like they are going to resolve much at all about this situation...
Also, missing Finn... wish he had a bigger role in this episode...

Wow those exact same things bothered me! Plus it seems like Finn is just suddenly not bothered by Josh and Nate spending so much time together anymore... Oh well it's still a nice story still

It's unfortunate about Nate's dad, I hope Josh's dad charges him with assault. He was seriously injured, I hope he doesn't die or anything. Nate's dad is a bigot, even his dead son accepted his brother, and his father can't. If Nate's brother (Aaron), was alive, his dad wouldn't have been this aggressive toward his son being gay.
If no one has seen the episode for this week, Anthony should have it up soon. It's full of angst, drama, and just a good episode overall. Again, like before, I wish Finn had more to do this episode, but I hope Nate's dad sees a turn around, and he needs to learn from his actions.

Everything is so cliche about this storyline.. It reminds me of Nuke as well.. Interruptions so they can't kiss, homophobic dad, blah blah.. I'm getting sick of it.
Why couldn't they wait with the emotional parent drama until AFTER we got some time with Josh and Nate? we haven't even seen them kiss yet! This sucks, I really like Josh and Nate together (Jote, Najo?), but this storyline has disappointed me, big time. It's almost a copy of the NUKE story, and that is NOT a compliment. Why can't they even let them kiss? I would like to see some one-on-one time before we got to see the homophobic dad! Ugh.. sorry about my rant.

I just came across this storyline just a coulp of days ago and I love it even though it's all over the place. And I just love Josh and Nate but there is something I have to know and I'm hoping someone can help me out here.Ok I know that the series is in it's 6 series and that later on 2011 series 7 will air if I'm reading that right.Well any ways I was reading where Scott Haining (Nate) will only be in Episodes 11-20 of series 6 and I was also reading where William Rush (Josh) will return for series 7.But no word on Scott Haining returning as of yet so I was wondering.Has anybody heard will they break up Nate and Josh at the end of series 6 and then give Josh a new boyfriend for series 7?

well... it could be that the character Nate has not been confirmed as returning until the writers can see how well ppl like the character? If ppl like Nate, they will have him return or replace him if ppl don't like him?
Kinda sad to see on there that Finn going to be leaving next series... was hoping he stays...

It was mostly about Josh's dad. I'm still annoyed they won't let Josh and Nate kiss though!
Degrassi can show a FTM transgender fully making out with a girl, but WR can't even show a guy KISS his BOYFRIEND?!?! PATHETIC!

The new episode was such a disappointment from a loyal fan- Josh and Nate should totally kiss by now- while the storyline appeals to me- i am finding it annoying that they have yet to kiss each other - even a smalll kiss!!!

Does anyone know how they handled previous gay characters on Waterloo Road before?
