I haven't commented on here in a while, but damn these boys do have some mad chemistry. I think no matter where they go they will always come back to each other in one way or another because they so love each other. It is great to also see the chemistry of friendships between the other characters as well. I also liked Nino and am sad to hear they killed off his character as he was great. Just one of those characters that you just love to hate, but would secretly take home for some down home dirty sex. Thanks to all you wonderful ladies for all the amazing incite on this show. It is fun to come to this board.

masonville Everything about Tato and Sofía together skeeved me out ¬¬ You're right, Nino's shooting and death wasn't realistic at all, but I'm not sure if that's a clue or just lame writing. TV is known for getting that wrong all the time Lol Cristal's squad is so tough. They should come to their matches with weapons - they'd win by default So, let's assume the other players we don't know about are minions of crime as well. Then it's Anguila and Flaco who haven't committed any crimes... so far ;D Oh wait, Anguila actually took part in the cover-up of Vanina's death. Lol they make Flaco look so pure. bdc Yes, it suits him just fine. Is wardrobe making up to us? @keviniantojack Yeah, I thought about that, but I can't keep my wishful thinking since it led me to last night's heartbreak It's a possibility though. When did Nino find out he was being arrested anyway? Did I miss that part? He was at the table with the others, Chiqui got the call from his lawyer and then all of a sudden Nino already knows he's gonna be arrested?

@keviniantojack Yes I'm heartbroken The boys must head to bed right now and fix me No no, you didn't understand me. Nino did find out about the arrest - I just don't understand when. They were at the table, Chiqui got a call from his lawyer telling him about Nino's arrest but he didn't say anything. He and Marga tried to leave and Nino said he was going to be arrested, made Marga hostage, but then decided to kill her instead of walking out of the house with her, and that's when Chiqui shot her. So when did Nino know about it?

My heart is broken too. Damn writers. Look at the picture posted by bdc. How can they kill such a man? Boludos. What if he's not dead? ...I don't know... It's a soap. Maybe... but that would be even more ridiculous. On the other hand our boys are slowly moving towards each other

Here we go... I was a bit distracted during tonight's episode but let's see what I can gather from it. 33. Flaco and Lalo were still in the restaurant, having fun and being so cute together. Thank you show, I love you They were talking about the World Cup and football, about Lalo's prospects and dreams. He looked all excited and sweet and Flaco got that adoring look on his eyes and this time Lalo didn't ask him to stop. Then Lalo said his mom would be so proud of him if he went to the next Cup and Flaco told him he would be proud of him as well and they both looked very much in love then So, sweet and funny Lalo is indeed back, as confirmed by the rest of the episode as well. Will paranoid, scheming, ambitious, angry, me-against-the-world Lalo visit us again? Probably, since it's part of his personality, but I'm glad the other side of him is back. 34. Tato has a lot of nerve! When Chiqui asked him why Nino had killed Solange and Cappa (right answer: to protect Tato and Nino's business), Tato told him Nino was a psychopath lol 35. Someone in this sea of criminals has a conscience. Chiqui is all full of regret over killing Nino, despite knowing he would have killed Marga and maybe the rest of them. So, yes, someone on the show actually thinks killing someone is something so major that you can't live with. Go Chiqui. Also, he's so heartbroken about killing Nino, maybe he misses him like we do? 36. Riganti is indeed cool, telling her subordinates just how bad they are at their job. They searched Tato's house and didn't find Nino. Fat policeman about their search: "We haven't missed anything." Riganti: "Really? You haven't missed anything? Anything at all? Only the suspect?!" 37. There's hope? Tato and the bald guy carried off Nino's body. Then Tato cleaned the hallway and he found a bullet near the table, saying something like "There you are. I almost couldn't find you." Is that the bullet Nino shot at him? The one Chiqui shot? Probably the first option. Anyway, it seems obscure what they have done to Nino and many people are saying it was all a set-up by the three men. I don't know. The bald guy talked to Mía like he was indeed dead, in my opinion. 38. Anguila's mystery is solved. He was asked to be a World Cup commentator on TV. He also seems to be the worst commentator ever ;D He can't even look at the right camera. That led to many fun scenes of everyone (including our boys) joking about it. 39. Police job on the show can always get worse. There's this new undercover guy at the club. I don't know his name but no one has ever looked more suspicious while undercover than him 40. Flaco relaxed, funny, confident self is indeed back. He's also pretty much on the prowl for Lalo. Last night, he used his charms to get him to agree to a dinner date, then to actually enjoy it. Tonight he towered over Lalo after practice, super in his personal space, to get him to agree to come to something with him and the guys. Lalo first started saying maybe, if they go too, not just us and then goes and say "I don't want to lose you either." Prompting more relaxed fun between them. So yeah, things are looking so much better now then last week So Flaco, honey, all these techniques and moves you're applying on Lalo now are working just fine. Please keep doing that and not what you were doing before 41. Salgado is not only boring, but stupid. He approaches Mía/Laura just outside Tato's house and kisses her Yeah, cause she's not undercover or anything, right? So of course Tato saw them. Tonight's question: what the hell happened to Nino? Tonight's wish: please let that hinted sexual tension between Mía and the bald guy be more than a hint. I can't stand Salgado and Chiqui seems far from going back to Mía at this point.

chrys, keep those lessons coming I’m glad that Flaco and Lalo are enjoying some togetherness…’cause knowing how these writers tease, God only knows how long their civilities will last
BOTINERAS isn’t supposed to be a romantic comedy – apparently it was written that way initially and became more of a drama, however, consciously or inadvertently the humor has never left
That being said, for those who only want to take the show seriously, feel free to move on b/c this post is not for you, you’ve been warned
Tato, if you tire scrubbing bloodstains off your floors, come over to my house…I’ll let you clean all you want...you are one committed individual…if your players had half the dedication to their careers, they’d all be going to play soccer in South Africa Tato is pretty squeamish around blood – please refer to the scene where Chiqui made a mess of shooting Mostaza in the club Tato needed a mop and bucket for his impending emesis, just as much as he needed them for Mostaza’s blood…but did he stop?…hell no, he got down on his hands and knees and dealt with the mess better than Mr. Clean® <--- google images In his own house after Chiqui shot Nino, he was just as close to losing his supper, but he was even more impressive (despite the fact that he didn’t need to be with the Keystone Cops working the case)...he rolled up the sleeves of his tailored white shirt and gave the latest crime scene a polish that would have made Molly Maid envious…and kept his shirt pristine If the man wasn’t so damn functional, I’d say he had OCD Keep up the good work…if you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself Call me a doubting Thomas or call me A river in Egypt (denial) but I’m still not sold on Nino’s death …. the bullets in Tato’s gun could have been blanks and the safest place for a murder suspect is dead Mind you, since these cops spend so much time with their heads up their asses, the safest place for a suspect could be front of their faces … but I’d hate to offend anyone with delicate sensibilities It would be genius however if the writers were savvy enough to script such an elaborate staged death…hope springs eternal
Speaking of genius, Anguila, or the actor portraying him is a comedic genius…his ineptitude commentating on the sports show was the best part of the episode Any idiot can make an idiot look like a loser; it takes a smart actor with a strong grasp of timing and comedic delivery to make an idiot lovable < --- I don’t care that the characters on the show were laughing at him, I was laughing WITH Anguila
The “Lady Macbeth-Out-damned-spot” award undoubtedly goes to Chiqui … Tato did give him a run for the money, but ultimately eliminated himself by getting out all the damning spots on the premises. I thought Chiqui was supposed to be a striker and yet he fell apart after having (apparently) struck someone down in self-defense. Marga may be a bitch but she’s one tough, ambitious bitch. The act of killing someone with a gun doesn’t approach the hatred and violence required to stand up close and personal and gut someone with a knife, and yet she doesn’t show any remorse, therefore, in some undoubtedly inadvertent Shakespearean role reversal, the writers help Marga get the “Macbeth I-am-in-blood-stepp'd-in-so-far-that,-should-I-wade-no-more,-returning-were-as-tedious-as-go-o-er" aka "There's no turning back" award. It remains to be seen if the writers let Marga share the same fate as Lady Macbeth ultimately
Something is indeed rotten in the state of Denmark … or rather BOTINERAS…is it the smell of Nino’s decomposing body? … the stench of Tato’s crooked business empire? … the odor of sweaty socks and athletic supporters which emanates from the locker room? … the decaying morals / ethics of the police department, protagonists, antagonists?…and so on ad infinitum < --- Tato, I don't think you'll have time to come to my house for clean-up, your services will be engaged here for a loooong, loooooong time
I leave it to you to ponder whether we’re dealing with a modern-day Shakespearean tragedy…or comedy… they are opposite sides of the same coin after all

I know this spoiler is related to yesterday's episode...but I like the image so I'm going to post it as well Hoy en "Botineras": La caída de Nino En el capítulo de este miércoles de “Botineras”, luego de enfrentarse a Cristian (Nicolás Cabré), Nino (Gonzalo Valenzuela) termina tirado en el suelo con un disparo.

You're right. Anguila is funny and lovable - the actor does a great job. Too bad they seem to be heading to pairing him with boring Mercedes His character is one of those who kept being funny while the show turned more dramatic. Early on, Chiqui was very funny as well, and I think the actor did a better job that way than now as a dramatic part. I should include a lesson on Tato's hard work at some point. But I'm sure I'll have plenty of opportunities to address that bdcThanks for pointing out the guy's name is Román and for the pics He looks better with hair in my opinion. What do you think?

bdcThanks for pointing out the guy's name is Román and for the pics He looks better with hair in my opinion. What do you think? he reminds me of an Italian actor his name is Filippo NigroI love his blue eyes he's straight but he played a gay role in 2 movies "le fate ignoranti" and "diverso da chi" Filippo with his co-star actor Luca Argenterohere is the trailer if you're interested in watching it cinetrailer.it/Diverso-da-chiPiero is a young politician, openly gay. He has a boyfriend called Remo, who is a gastronomical reviewer. They have been together for 14 years, they married abroad (in Italy, thanks to Vatican, same sex marriages are not permitted). Piero, already present in the party as a leading member of gays, is sent to the primaries with the purpose of removing fewer votes as possible to the chosen and favored candidate, Mr Pepe, except that the propaganda efforts of his team combined with the premature departure of the winner of the primaries ( Mr. Pepe.. .a smile that wins) lead him to candidate for mayor, trying to bring his innovative and progressive ideas in Trieste ( an Italian city in the north-east). During the campaign he is joined by Adele (candidate as vice mayor). She's bigoted, conservative, pro-family and against any alternative idea ...! Btw Remo and Adele are not so different, they both like the same things... and Remo, trying to help Piero with his campaign, incites him to know better Adele... Piero and Adele will be attracted to each other...

This was a really boring episode in my opinion but wait, don't go away, because when it comes to our boys, it was really good Not much actually happened to them, they didn't say much to each other, but still, there was a scene that was absolutely awesome and you guys have to watch it. No knowledge of Spanish is needed to fully enjoy it So let's get this started: 42. That photographer continues to be obsessed with Flaco. The "thing" Flaco invited Lalo to on yesterday's episode was actually going to the movies. Sorry I didn't catch that yesterday. So they go to the movies with some other players and girls, and Lalo is there with Josephina (I bet you didn't see that one coming, did you? ;D) So a photographer, who I'm pretty sure it's the same one who caught the Flaco/Chiqui picture and had been following Flaco, showed up and bothered them for a while. Are they gonna keep on doing this stalking thing with this guy? Cause it makes no sense, actually. And where is super-manager Tato to effectively shut him up? See where Nino is missed? 43. Show is absolutely full of win!! They shows us the boys inside the movies, having fun. Lalo is sitting between Flaco and Josephina and he kisses her and Flaco looks jealous for a moment. But do you think Flaco would get sad and sulk? Or make an angry scene? No no no, not this week's Flaco. This one is so over those things. Instead, he goes play the hand game (not 1.0, but 2.0) with Lalo (1.0 is holding hands, 2.0 is hand on leg by the way) Lalo got all nervous and pushed his hand away, but Flaco never wavered. He gets his hand firm on Lalo's thigh and looks all confident, flirtatious and amused while Lalo squirms in his seat. Poor Lalito, he's so in over his head 44. Confident Flaco is awesome. After weeks of crying, I missed him like this so much. He's applying all his moves and Lalo is so gonna cave soon. If Lalo truly thinks they can do this almost just friends thing, he's gonna be proved wrong pretty soon. Flaco is slowly but effectively both charming him again and driving him crazy. The guy knows what he's doing, Lalo, you can't win this Not that you really want to, anyway 45. Mía/Laura's mad ninja skills were always composed by pure luck, craziness (remember her plans) and raw ninjaness, but more and more it's just luck. She found a bullet hole in a wall at Tato's house by pure luck and then also by chance overheard Tato saying to Chiqui that Nino is dead. C'mon, you can do better than that. 46. Poker face is a very rare feature on this show. Chiqui doesn't have it either. The players were talking about Nino in the locker room and Chiqui looked as guilty as they come 47. Lily killed Mirtha! Finally a reason for her to even be on screen. She was talking to Marga about Sofía's suspicions and Marga was saying how ridiculous was the idea that Lily had killed Mirtha. We were supposed to realize she actually did it because of her expression and the music, but since the actress fails to express anything with her face, it was mostly the creepy music that clued us in to her guiltiness. Today's questions: So, did you think it was Lily? What do you think of it? And how much did you love the movies scene?
