When I first saw the press picture of him they had on DS I was kind of meh but since i've seen him on the show yeah... He is pretty fit.  He also seems pretty cool and normal, fingers crossed they haven't made him a complete mental by Christmas. ;D |

Wait... wasn't it sheepie that started this 'hobbit' business. Personally, I don't see it. For me, he'd have to be much smaller, smaller than me even (and I'm 5' 7" ), before I'd even begin to classify him as a tall hobbit. And, like I said in the general discussion thread, ' a belated get well soon to Marc ', having a touch of the sniffles in today's garage scene  |

I agree with jijeebo, first look at that promo pic was a bit meh... but I love him in the role now.
I definitely rate him and think he is perfect for the character. He seems warm and forgiving (repeatedly) and thats exactly what Aaron needs now.
I am having some problems understanding his accent though. A few words here and there, I find myself having to replay a phrase a few times til I get what he is saying lol. Only seem to have that problem with him and Holly.
What I am glad about is that Marc isnt playing Jackson as camp. Not that there is anything wrong with camp... but definitely think that the way he is portraying the character is more realistic to what Aaron would be attracted to.
If you want to see camp you just have to watch Ugly Betty where even the straight characters are flamboyant lol
Also, I've never watched Holyoaks...so dont know how big a role he had in it.
For those that do/did watch him, does that affect how you see him in this role?

It was a bit weird at first...because in Hollyoaks he was just an imagination, not a "real" character...He was "the voice" of a schizophrenic teenager and was only interacting with him, not with any other person on the show. But I kinda like it to see him in a total different role now |

First when I saw that video of Marc from Hollyoaks I thought he was the emo one with the black hair and honestly, I was disappointed. But then I found out that he was the other one and then I saw him on Emmerdale and now I'm pleased |

I do like Marc with a bit more hair. I love a big head of curly hair. But I think he's very sexy and very cute and the character, Jackson, has an inner, quite strength that he conveys very well. The actors have good chemistry.

I'm not so sure. I've just watched some clips and... I kinda like the whole story and Marc's role especially. (Oh, okay, I got a crush on the imaginary Rae, but that's a different matter...) In fact I like him better in that story - but maybe that's either personal preference or the fact that we haven't seen much of Jackson yet.
(And this is Off topic, but I hate how they portrayed Newts "Schizophrenia" - seeing as that kind of thing is NOT schizophrenia but something else entirely. Although it's true that people with schizophrenia often hear voices, they're not different personalities... In fact, no disease would look like that, really. This is just some made-up version. Multiple Personality Disorder is a traumatic disease that doesn't go away with medication, there's years or even decades of therapy needed because the traumatic experience is in a long period in the person's childhood (they say 2-7 years), mainly repetative ritual rape, no trust in parents or any kind of guardian. Schizophrenia, on the other hand, does not involve different Personalities and that is a misconception so many people have. It's differences in though patterns - i.e. they hear voices or are convinced that they have chip inplanted or in some other way manipulated, alright, but that's really something different. I can only laugh at "Eli taking over"... because that's clearly Multiple Personality Disorder, but it's soo simplified.
Yes, you see: Gay storylines are very easy to portray compared to that kind of stuff.)
Oh, and I love how Eli says "I'm not gay!" at one point.
