anyone know if Marc is working again? Any projects he's doing? Seems a shame if he's not been snapped up following his great work on Emmerdale.

Hmmm.... perhaps he could do some theatre work... like Equus. Some people expressed their wish that he should get a part on Downton Abbey. I can't say that I've watched the first two seasons, so I don't have an opinion on that show (perhaps I should get it on dvd for xmas ) Or perhaps a post in Corrie or Eastenders?

A similar article posted on : www.theemmerdaily.com/emmerdale_news/content.asp?ni=408Former Emmerdale star Marc Silcock, who played tetraplegic Jackson Walsh, is to star in a new BBC drama called Privates. Set in 1960 and based on the last intake of conscripts for National Service, Privates follows eight young men of two section who undertake their basic training at a windswept camp in the north of England. Marc plays Corporal Jimmy Hobbs and stars alongside Patrick Baladi, who has appeared in Mistresses and The Office, as Captain Guiliver. Produced by Twenty Twenty Television, the series is currently being filmed in County Down, Ireland and Marc has already been spotted by eagle eyed Emmerdale fans. No reports of seeing him in uniform yet...

excellent news. Thanks so much for passing this on, nomdeplume8ie. Very important for a performer badged as 'soap' to be able to get out of that genre silo. Be interesting to see how Danny M does with that. Patrick Baladi is a strong actor with a very good track record so it's good to see Marc's name alongside his.
