Here is a link to an emmerdale slash story, the Adam & Aaron parts don't really start until about part 5, so you might want to just skip straight to that, although the main focus of chapter 5 is Carl/Aaron. www.nifty.org/nifty/gay/celebrity/emmerdale-farmication/Oh, and other characters included are: Ryan, Nathan, Cain & others. Enjoy x.

A little fanfiction I came across on the Fantasy Hollyoaks website, its not mine, its by a user called 'brencon' so all the credit goes there: The Link; [a href="http://z6.invisionfree.com/Fantasy__Hollyoaks/index.php?showtopic=3211"]http://z6.invisionfree.com/Fantasy__Hollyoaks/index.php?showtopic=3211[/a] & The Fanfiction; He collapsed against the gate, his sobs echoing through the quiet village. His tears ran red, the cut above his left eye still bleeding from the accident.
His arms wrapped themselves around his waist, and he rested his head on his arms. He tried to stop. Stop the memory of his lapse. Stop his heart from wrenching.
“What are ya playin’ at?” Adam asked, his breathing heavy, the adrenaline still fresh in his system from the dance with fate.
Aaron denied it, of course. But his eyes were wide, full of fear. He denied everything. “What? You just tried stickin’ your tongue down my throat, Aaron,” Adam reminded him, a disbelieving look crossing his face.
“No I didn’t!” Aaron stated, before jumping from the car, his voice heavy with conviction.
It didn’t happen, you see.
The sound of the pub door opening and Aaron was on his feet once more. He wiped the blood from his face, wincing at the sting of pain that shot through his system as he touched the open wound.
He patted himself down, trying to find his keys. He had to get inside, hide his face from the world.
He needed to settle himself.
--
He never did get to sleep that night, his mind was too busy; wouldn’t shut up for just a second. He sat on his bed, the same clothes from the night before on him, and stared at his reflection from the mirror on his wardrobe door.
He still looked the same, his appearance not changing. So why did his mind suddenly have to push this thought into his head? To kiss his best mate?
He’d been with Victoria Sugden, and he’d liked it. And ever since the Barton’s arrived in the village, he’d been like a dog in heat over Holly.
And yet now, as if from nowhere, he fancied her brother? Tried to kiss him?
Once the sun rose, he rose from his static pose, stripping himself of his clothes, as if to cleanse himself. Yet the mirror was like a window to his mind, and when he looked at his reflection, all he could see was him. Adam.
He moved to the bathroom, set the shower to the hottest possible setting and stepped in.
He scrubbed hard, washing away his shame, his skin almost blistering with the force of his cleaning. He wasn’t crying, and if anyone said he was he’d have thumped ‘em.
The steam billowed around him. Almost an hour after he stepped into the shower, he stepped out, grabbing the nearest towel and began drying off.
His skin ached from the heat, yet he began to shiver from the chill that crept into the bathroom from the outside world.
Adam laughed as he walked around the car.
“I know you’re gay.”
Aaron’s eyes widened, he couldn’t look at Adam. He repeated himself, “No, no I’m not,” shaking his head to emphasis the statement.
“You just tried ter kiss me!”Aaron argued, pointing into the car; at the scene of the near-kiss.
Aaron stared, panted, a look of deep anguish crossing his features. He couldn’t have. He wasn’t gay!
“You wanna try it again, is that it?” Adam asked, and Aaron couldn’t help but glance at him, his breathing still heavy. Is that what he wanted? To try again?
“Well come on then, pretty boy, ‘cause I’m ready for ya this time.”
Adam took a step closer, his eyes intently watching Aaron’s face.
Aaron turned away, once more shaking his head, his eyes darting around as he denied the event once more.
Aaron shook his head, disturbing the memory as he returned to his room once more and got ready for the new day. He dressed in his worse-off pair of jeans, a ratty t-shirt and his overalls before venturing to the kitchen for tea and toast.
It was nothing, he stated to himself once more that morning. A glitch. He decided how exactly he was going to win Holly over as sipped at his tea, the preservatives-layered toast all but forgotten on the dish before him.
He’d win Holly, deny everything that Adam insinuated happened the night before and nothing had to change.
He’d easily forget his actions, for nothing actually happened and all would be well.
He hoped. And lets hope we have more people posting their fanfiction, slashy, smutty stories here soon ;D

A link to a very hot piece of A&A smut: z6.invisionfree.com/Fantasy__Hollyoaks/index.php?showtopic=3234&st=0entry7917580Plus the actual slash: Aaron kissed her, and it was nice, it was different. But it was an act. Adam was mere feet away from him, his eyes burning with disgust as his ‘best mate’ kissed his sister. Words burned on his tongue, wishing to be shouted out loud for everyone to hear – liar, denial, thug.
Yet Adam held his voice. Kept himself quiet, stilled his words. If he did anything, it would hurt his sister deeply.
The Barton siblings were soon on their way home, with Holly praising the date for its gloriousness and Adam biting his tongue, fighting back the tirade of revelations once more.
They arrived at the homestead, and Adam came to a decision.
“I’m just going to check the sheep, see if they’re still alive!” He aimed to make a joke, but failed miserably.
“It’s half 10! Don’t bother son, they’ll be asleep by now anyway,” his father laughed at the joke any way.
“Still better safe than sorry and all that. Be back in a bit,” Adam called as he donned his winter jacket once more and retrieved the key for the quad from his pocket.
He came to a decision – it was time to pay a visit to vet’s home and sort this out once and for all.
--
Aaron arrived home, divested himself of his jacket and grabbed a couple of cans of lager from the fridge. Making his way to the living room, he found Paddy playing a round of zombie-killing on the games console.
He passed the can to Paddy, , ignored the question on the success of the date and accepted the other controller and joined in the killing spree.
He pushed all thoughts of any Barton’s from his mind as he sliced a zombie in half. He couldn’t deal with the level of lies he’d created in the past few days, specifically on the date tonight.
He’s stopped himself from kissing Holly; had told himself he wasn’t going to do it, until Adam had arrived with a glare pasted to his face. If looks could kill, Aaron would now be as the figures on the screen had been – six feet under.
A continual rap at the door soon averted his attention.
“It’s almost eleven – who’s calling over at this time?” Paddy asked, pausing the machine as he rose to his feet.
Aaron sipped from his can as he watched the seconds hand on the clock tick bye painfully slow. He heard voices as the door closed shut with a snap.
“Look who’s called for a sleepover!” Paddy poorly joked, smiling between the two teens.
Noticing the forced smiles on the so-called best friends faces, Paddy soon made his excuses and retired to his room.
“Wanna bevy?” Aaron asked, jumping to his feet and entering the kitchen. Adam accepted the can and sat at the dinner table.
Aaron rested against the countertop, finished off his first can and cracked open his second.
“What’s with the late night call, mate?” Aaron asked, watching Adam from the corner of his eye as he opened his can, drank what seemed quite a lot and rested the can before himself on the table top.
“It’s about you... being gay, and yet you’re kissing my sister!”
“I’m not gay... no idea where ya got that from,” Aaron held fast, sipping lightly at his can.
“You tried to kiss me... I know you did, so there’s no point in denying it Aaron, alright! Listen, I’m not saying that it’s wrong that you’re gay, it’s just... messing with my sister, it’s gonna hurt everyone. And I don’t want to get caught up in the middle of this!” Adam sighed heavily, thumping the table top before lifting his can to his face once more.
He watched as Aaron’s chest rose in deeply, and fell quickly in quick succession as his eyes widened in fear.
“I’m not gay!” He burst once more with the rhetoric of denial, stamping his way in front of Adam, his hands clenching and unclenching at his sides.
Adam shot to his feet, his arms held open as if an invitation.
“Go on then! Do it! Hit me! Do something! Just DO IT!” Adam yelled!
Aaron clenched his fists once more and then released a heavy sigh... before crashing his mouth to Adam’s. His arms rested on Adam’s hips and pulled them tight, close together.
The kiss deepened, Adam opening his mouth to allow Aaron entrance.
But if you blinked you would have missed it, for Adam pushed Aaron away and pulled back himself.
Gasping for breath, Aaron rose his mouth to his face, turned away from Adam and ran to his room, his heartbeat echoing throughout the quiet house.
Adam remained at the kitchen table, his mouth wide with shock. He sat once more, took his can in his hand and just stared into the nothingness.
--
Aaron fought the tears that threatened to spill. He’d tried, so hard, to push that urge deep in the back of his mind. And it had worked, for a while. And yet here he was, sitting in the dark, crying silently to himself after he kisses his best mate.
He couldn’t breathe, his chest felt tight, and as he tore the shirt from his chest he felt the shame lift slightly, only to settle on his shoulders. To him, this shame was like the weight of the world and he couldn’t fight his feelings any more, or he would be crushed under its pressure.
So he delved into his feelings. No more denying it now.
“No more lies,” he whispered.
There came a knock to the his door, and Adam was soon standing in the doorway. He said nothing, crossed towards the bed and sat beside Aaron on the bed.
“I... Ehm....” Aaron attempted, but ceased quickly.
“I’m not surprised... well, slightly, thought you were gonna knock me for six! Although... the kiss certainly was more effective.”
Aaron laughed and finally found his voice.
“Knew it’d shut ya up,” he said, and nudged Adam’s shoulder with his own.
Adam smirked as he rested back against the wall. He closed his eyes, not knowing what else could happen this night.
“I’m just... I’m so confused. I don’t know what I’m doing; I don’t know who I am anymore,” Aaron started, rubbing a hand over his head. “I’ve never felt this way before, I’ve... it’s not something I’m used to being!”
“So you deny everything and start going out with my sister?! That’s your answer?!” Adam asked incredulously.
“What else could I do? Admit it, then have everyone think I’m gay? That’d go down well in my family... Mum and Carl fucking King would have been so pleased!”
Aaron stood up and began pacing. Adam watched him before getting to his feet.
“Oi! Just stop, before you set the house on fire!” Adam grabbed at Aaron, and once again Aaron couldn’t stop himself, and he kissed Adam with every ounce of feeling that pounded through his system, through his heart.
Before either of them knew anything more, they were on top of the bed, both bare-chested. And Adam, for all his comments and dirty looks over the past few days, found himself not only enjoying this intimate affair but relishing in it... taking part in it; returning the actions in kind.
His hands pinched at Aaron’s nipples, his fingers twisting at the already pointed nubs. His breathing shook as Aaron’s hands made circles, creeping lower and lower towards the belt of his jeans.
--
Aaron was shaking, yet this was the most exhilarating thing to have ever occurred to him in his life. The kiss was awe-inspiring, the feeling of Adam’s skin against his own was intense, and the heat was electrifying.
His hands moved lower down Adam’s body, as he finally gripped the belt loops of the jeans.
And Aaron pulled away, and his breathe hitched, and he simply couldn’t speak.
“What... what have y... what’ve you done to me?” Adam suddenly asked, kissing Aaron’s neck.
Aaron chuckled, kissed Adam hard, so much so that he drew blood, and began to kneel before him.
The belt was soon removed and tossed aside, the jeans and boxer briefs gone and the socks and trainers discarded and Adam was left bare for the world to be seen.
And he was excited. Aaron could not take his eyes from it. His hand reached out of its own accord, and it was indescribable - the difference between the feeling of someone elses hard on than his own, how it was almost velvet-like, with hard as steel. It was arousing.
--
Adam groaned to the touch. His hands moved to Aaron’s buzzed head. His dick suddenly was swallowed in the heat of Aaron’s mouth, the tongue teasing Adam.
He groaned loudly, and pulled back instantly, withdrawing himself from Aaron’s mouth.
“Sorry, I can’t... it’s... sorry.”
And he pulled his clothes on, carried his shoes out and ran from the home of the vet and the mechanic.
Aaron crumpled onto his bed. He wondered where everything went wrong. But he was sure of himself now. He had more of an idea who he was. Now he just needed to aid his best mate. In deciding who he was, so they could finally get past this area of grey.
For better or worse. And I swear I almost came reading it Credit to Brencon again x.

Thanks for posting those, Danny Boy. I've been inspired to write some, but it's all just random lines right now as I'm rather bad at finishing fic. I'll def. link it here if I do finish. I hope more people start writing this pairing.

Finally got around to putting together a short piece of A&A fic, probably to be continued. If anyone has any comments or notices a glaring error, feel free to let me know on here or on FF.net (otherwise I'll have to estimate based on thread views if anyone's actually reading it). I actually have a pretty elaborate Aaron/Nathan fic in mind (in which Adam is heavily featured, but he's decidedly straight), and I hope someone's interested in that because I'm getting really into it. www.fanfiction.net/s/5696127/1/Bargaining_Part_1Title: Bargaining – Part 1 Author: Castiel! at the Disco (a/k/a calcium_yeah ) Rating: PG-13 Fandom: Emmerdale Genre: Slash Pairing: Adam Barton/Aaron Livesy Disclaimer: A collection of people own Emmerdale and its characters. I own nothing. Notes: Takes place after January 8, 2010 episode, ignoring following episodes. Summary: Adam wants Aaron to admit he wants him. So, basically, the storyline from the show, except here he’s smart enough to use tactics that make it worth Aaron’s while. It was sense memory, right? That flash of something that pulls you off into someplace you’ve been? Had to be it. Had to be, because Aaron was hit right across the face with it. He’d been standing in the field, telling his former best mate how things were gonna be, and then it was bam, back in Ryan’s car again. It was Adam leaning in that did it. Adam setting off to call his bluff—not that it had been a bluff, he’d meant it up until a second ago. If he’d have needed to shut Adam up, he’d have shut him up. But then Adam leaned in and Aaron was sat right back in the front seat of that car, face to face and sharing too much personal space. He couldn’t think then and he couldn’t think now. Just feeling that impulse—that undying impulse that wouldn’t let him get on with the night like it was supposed to go. Move in closer, Aaron. Nothing clearer than that. Not like he was dying for a kiss. Just something pushing him forward, could’ve been off balance for all he knew. Someone sat right there, looking all concerned, you’re gonna lean in, aren’t you? Adam wasn’t much for concern tonight though, was he? Tonight he was leaned in trying to provoke some kinda truth out of Aaron; tilting his head at an angle trying to mock the move that had started all this as far as he could tell. “Well go on then, hit me.” Adam taunted him, like Aaron wouldn’t do it. Aaron had full on intended to do it. “Or would you rather kiss me instead?” Adam fucking Barton. Aaron’s throat tightened up and he ground his teeth together. Jaw clenched. Jaw clenched. His brain was screaming at him to say something, to come back at Adam with anything. Aaron’s jaw hurt as he pressed his teeth together, holding back words that weren’t coming out anyway. He shook his head, finally, and turned to walk away. Wasn’t much to say, Adam was gonna believe what he wanted to believe. Aaron wasn’t more than a step away when he heard Adam calling out behind him. He paused where he stood, back to the younger man, who continued to speak. “See you do that, but you don’t ever say ‘no’, do you?” Adam’s voice still held the softness he’d used when he asked Aaron if he’d rather kiss him; Aaron was starting to hate that tone. It was like Adam was trying to be gentle. Like Aaron needed someone to be gentle. “I ask you if you want to try it again, if you want to kiss me, if you had your eye out for a little something more, and you always walk away, but you never deny it.” Aaron tapped his foot for a second, debating whether to turn around or just keep walking and put an end to the conversation. But there was no ending it, was it? Adam would just keep hanging about, telling his stories, trying to make Holly go off him. Aaron spun around and stepped back to where he’d been standing, right and close to Adam, giving him a chance to get good and weird about Aaron being so near to him. “Then I want you to listen closely, right?” Aaron tapped Adam’s left ear and the other boy tilted his head away with a grimace. “I’m denying it now. Like I said, I prefer Holly.” “Until you tried to kiss me you weren’t paying any mind to Holly!” Adam scrunched his face up in confusion, as if he couldn’t understand why Aaron wouldn’t admit what now seemed so obvious. “Ya, well, if you wanna believe that.” Aaron shrugged. “I happen to like her.” “Right. And would you still be so keen on her if I’d let you kiss me that night?” “Never tried that.” Aaron shook his head. “Just quit denying it, Aaron! Nobody’s even around here but us and we both know what happened.” Adam was getting loud and Aaron checked to make sure no one was lurking about listening in on their conversation. “Could do without you shouting things like that out, mate.” Aaron was frowning when he turned back around, and that frown only deepened when he saw Adam smirking at him. “Told you I’d say I got it wrong if you broke it off with Holly.” “Holly’s worth more to me than stopping you running around telling lies about me.” Aaron’s hands were curled into fists and he bounced his right heel up and down restlessly. “No.” Adam shook his head again. “No, that’s not it. I think I just didn’t make a good enough offer.” “What’s that supposed to mean?” Aaron’s eyebrows lowered as he eyed Adam suspiciously. “Me asking you to go off Holly, saying I would take back what I said.” Adam stepped closer and Aaron clenched his jaw again; it had become a subconscious reflex. “Should’ve known you’d be after something more tangible.” “You’re the one keeps going on about it. Sounds like you’re the one who’s after something.” “And what if I am?” Adam took another step forward, so the two boys’ shoes were almost touching. “What if I’m after you to finish what you started? What if that’s what you get when you give up Holly? What if you get me?” “Tssh.” Aaron let out a quick sarcastic breath of air and shook his head. “Whoring ourselves out just to prove a point, are we? ‘s not a good look.” “Isn’t about proving a point. I’m doing this for my sister.” Adam reached a hand up and placed his fingertips on the zipper of Aaron’s jacket. “Thanks for the offer,” Aaron gripped his hand around Adam’s fingers and pushed Adam’s hand away, “but like I said, I’d rather have her.” “You’re using her!” Adam threw his hands in the air, completely frustrated. “I know you want me, why don’t you just admit it? You think you won’t get enough out of it, that I’m just gonna run off and tell everyone I was right once I hear it? ‘s not like they’d believe me anyway.” “I told you what happened. I hit my head; I was all over the place. You’re the one who keeps banging on about it. But I’ll tell you what, if you’re looking for a kiss, I’m not the one to give it to you.” Aaron turned to walk away again, but Adam jogged ahead and blocked his path. “Come on then, scared to make the first move again?” Adam was breathing slightly heavier from the brief exertion, mouth hanging open just a bit more, and Aaron had to force his attention back to Adam’s eyes. “Never made a first move the first time.” Aaron stuck with the story that was becoming harder to sell. “I see it, you know? The way you look at me. See you wanting me.” Adam’s voice was pleading for Aaron to admit what the younger man had started to see so clearly. “I see you wanting me to do things my sister could never do.” “Don’t want a thing from you.” Aaron shuffled from foot to foot, restless but unable to step around the man blocking his path. “What’re you gonna do then? You gonna push me off of you?” Adam pressed his chest against Aaron; zippers and buttons of Adam’s jacket pressing into Aaron’s chest where his jacket was unzipped. “You need to back off.” Aaron was breathing heavy, just short of a pant. “Right now.” “Not in much of a mood for backing off.” Adam reached into the limited space between their bodies, brushing his knuckles against the front of Aaron’s jeans. Aaron’s gaze was darting over Adam’s face, from eyes to lips and back, pupils dilated and eyes wide as they could go. Adam could see him on the edge of a decision to move in or walk away. He was wavering…wavering. Move in. Clear off. “I won’t pull away this time, you know.” Adam kept stroking, and Aaron kept pretending he didn’t notice what was happening. “You pulled away last time—” Aaron started before catching himself, still unwilling to admit what he’d been trying to do in the front seat of that car. “When you thought I tried to kiss you, you pulled away.” “Doesn’t matter.” Adam shifted his hand, trying to slide it into Aaron’s pants, but Aaron clamped his wrist and kept it in place. “I don’t get what you’re playing at.” Aaron’s brain was scrambling for an angle, trying to get what Adam was getting out of this. “You really trying to have it off with me because you want me away from Holly?” “Does it matter?” Adam tried to push his hand down the front of Aaron’s pants again. “This isn’t something you want to go mucking about with.” Aaron gripped Adam’s wrist tighter, stopping the other man’s fingers just as they curled into his waistband. Adam clenched his teeth at the initial shock of pain, then twisted his hand until Aaron loosened his grip. “You’re the one’s mucking about, pretending you’re into my sister.” Adam tugged at Aaron’s jeans. “What I did to you just now, you wouldn’t have let that happen if you weren’t interested.” Aaron bit the inside of his mouth, not responding to Adam’s assertion, not breaking eye-contact, not moving except to clench the muscles in his right calf. Adam sighed and shook his head, moving to back away, but Aaron grabbed the back of his neck and pulled him in, glaring into his eyes. “Might just be curious how far you’re willing to go to keep me away from your sister.” “Only one way to find out, isn’t there?”

Yeah, it's two in the morning and I'm here, posting fanfiction. *rubs eyes* I thought that maybe I should reread tomorrow and then post but I fear I might delete it if I did for I have a tendency to hate things I wrote after a short while. (And love it again after a few months, seriously.) (; No, it's not quite a romantic Adam/Aaron, but I hope it's good enough. (Bad thing is that you have the AA-Fic thread and the Aarson-Fic thread, nothing else. So you'll have to deal with this piece of heretical writing. (; Comments are appreciated, more so criticism. Started writing yesterday, and re-wrote the whole thing today. It's less fluff than last time, beware. Oh, and of course: SPOILER ALERT! (sorry ) --- Change Mostly Aaron and Adam, not romantic though. Not so much fluff. Rated K+. After the suicide attempt, many things have changed. My take on how Adam taking Aaron to Bar West would look like. Written 24th of April, anything aired afterwards may not fit with this story.Aaron never looked too closely anymore. He skimmed the place just briefly to grab what he needed, headed out to the car again and began working on it. He didn’t dare look at the inside of the garage. He was scared to see the place where he thought he’d die. He had realised it was true what they said. Although Aaron couldn’t recall anything that had happened after he turned the motor on, the moments before that were quite vivid in his head. Everything inside him had been tense, his mind clearer than ever. He had thought that he would die there, that would be the end of everything; his life, swept away, together with all the problems that came with it, the pain and the hurt. It could have worked. He had subconsciously tried to memorise every single detail of the place he had been supposed to die. He remembered the Jackets he put on the floor. The doors, the locks, he saw it right in front of him, even though he tried desperately to forget it for a few moments. At that moment, his destiny had seemed to be clear. He couldn’t forget, although it was painful to remember. Instead of escaping he had caused the pile of problems that pressed him down to double in size. Not only the guilt, anger and fear of being abandoned, of being gay haunted him now, but the weight of the knowledge that he had been pathetic enough to fail suicide was pushing him to the edge. He knew he couldn’t do anything anymore. Chas was constantly checking up on him and with her, it seemed, the whole village. He couldn’t go anywhere without being interrogated. Every time he tried to keep something a secret everyone assumed it was another plan to commit suicide, or something he’d done, or whatever they were thinking. On top of that almost everyone knew that he was gay, now. How couldn’t they, he had said it himself in front of court. Even though he denied it when he had got snarky remarks at community service, he knew it wasn’t true. Adam had shouted at him when he found out what he’d said. “What if that bloke actually went to the police and told them? What’re you going to say then?” Adam had a point. It had always been something Aaron despised as much as he admired – Adam hit the nail on the head most of the time. Yet he was also very understanding and nice. It might have been the reason why Aaron liked him. That was another thing he couldn’t just forget. Adam was the person who he had tried to kiss – in a spur of the moment, he hadn’t thought about it before, just the Adrenalin and confusion and dim light – and who had seen Jackson kiss him. He liked Adam very much, but he was scared of the sheer thought that Adam had witnessed all these things. They had managed to talk more over the last few weeks, Adam hadn’t been half as fussy as Paddy and Chas had been, so he preferred his company to that of his “mom”, who only realised he was there when he was on the verge of death, or Paddy, who had sweet-talked him into believing he cared about Aaron. Yet it was hard trying to forget. Jackson was a completely different matter. Aaron didn’t believe he’d ever see him again. In fact, he was hoping to forget about him completely. He didn’t want to see that face ever again. He didn’t want himself to be reminded of anything to do with him – the flirt, the kiss, the drink, the fist. He was thoroughly embarrassed. It was what he did best. Shoving the matter out of his mind and pretend it didn’t exist. He glanced over to the garage again. He needed another piece which would require him to search at the back of the garage. After a few seconds of hesitation, he turned to go inside. However, as he approached the door, someone called his name. “Aaron!” He turned round to see Adam, who was walking up to him now, a cautious smile on his face. “Hi,” Aaron replied neutrally, trying to sound normal, casual. “You wanna go to town later?”, Adam asked, “Y’know, celebrate your Therapy.” Aaron rolled his eyes. Of course, he had got a free therapist. Paddy and Chas had convinced him to get professional help but it had taken a while for them to arrange a meeting. He would see the shrink next week. Secretly, he was not only hoping that he’d help him deal with his problems, but tell him that he could change – become straight. “You paying?” he finally said. “Oh, whatever. You coming, then?” “Why not.” Aaron was relieved to get away from the tense atmosphere around Smithy Cottage, in fact. If Adam was coming, surely Paddy wouldn’t try and call the police or lock him in his room or whatever it was he would try to prevent him from committing suicide. As if that was everything he was thinking about nowadays. “Cheers, mate. When do you think you’ll be finished?” Adam now smiled again, squinting into the sunlight. “Dunno. Should take ‘till around five, I guess,” Aaron estimated. “I’ll pick you up. See ya.” With that, Adam turned to leave. For a few seconds, Aaron watched as he walked down the street again and turned around the corner. For some reason, he had a strange feeling about Adam’s last sentence. Was he now becoming as paranoid as Paddy and Chas, trying to make sure Aaron wasn’t going to run? Gloomily, he stepped into the garage to look for the missing piece. So much had changed. *** Adam’s behaviour suddenly made sense. Horrified, Aaron stared at the place, then back at Adam. “Are you crazy or what? I’m not going in there!” Certainly not with Adam, who’d just been dying to humiliate Aaron again. How’d he know about that Bar West place anyway? Aaron was sure Paddy had told him – oh, how could he have ever trusted him? “Calm down, mate. You’ve been in there before!” With Jackson, who’d always been there when he’d been looking for him, who probably lived there half the time. Where the disaster had begun. He didn’t need any more of that – and he especially didn’t need his straight friend to take him there, even less one he had felt attracted to for quite a while. He didn’t even bother to reply but began to walk back again. He didn’t need to put up with this. “Hold on, will ya!” Adam shouted, gripping his arm, “What’re you scared of?” “I’m not scared,” Aaron insisted, but he stopped now. “I just don’t want to go into that dump.” “What, because I’m not gay?” Adam actually laughed. “Straight lads can go to gay pubs, too, y’know.” Aaron didn’t reply. “I tell ya, you’re coming.” Adam had made it quite clear he wouldn’t accept a no and dragged him into the place anyway. He seemed to be more comfortable than Aaron, who was nervously following him. Didn’t Adam think he’d be chatted up by anyone? But as soon as Aaron entered the familiar place his eyes were instantly searching for only one face – Jackson. He prayed for him not to be there. Just this once. He wasn’t ready to face him just yet and was honestly frightened. He had done something horrible, he knew, but ignoring it seemed like the best option. Luckily, he didn’t seem to be anywhere. Calming down a little, he followed Adam to a small table at a corner. Aaron noticed that Adam wasn’t even looking around too much. He didn’t seem to care that two blokes were snogging only a few steps away. “A pint?” Adam asked. “Yeah, sure.” Aaron thought it was very, very strange. He himself was a bundle of nerves, about to break, his whole body was tense, but Adam seemed to be comfortable, looking no different than in the village. He now headed to the bar to get drinks. Aaron watched him as he stood there, ordering, looking around. Just then, a bloke approached Adam. Aaron couldn’t hear a word they were saying, but it was quite obvious that the blonde guy was interested in Adam. Aaron somehow felt a strange urge to punch that ugly face – but it wasn’t necessary, since Adam shook his head, smiling, maybe telling him he had a girlfriend, grabbed the beer and now returned to Aaron. Before Adam reached the table, however, something else caught Aaron’s attention, a face much too familiar. Jackson looked as if he’d just come out from the gents and was heading straight through the room. He didn’t look around, so Aaron assumed he didn’t see him, yet subconsciously he tried to be inconspicuous. Adam, who now sat down beside Aaron, had noticed him staring and had a worried expression. “Why don’t you go over to him, eh?” “Why?” Aaron snapped. “Because you want to apologise to him, maybe?” Adam could be cruelly truthful sometimes. Yes, Aaron wanted to apologise, but he didn’t think Jackson would listen. Or maybe he would, but he didn’t want to face him now. In fact, the only thing he wanted to do was to flee. He wasn’t ready. He didn’t want to hear. “It’s no use,” he said, meaning both that Jackson would not listen and that no matter Adam said, he wasn’t going to do anything. “I can tell, you know, by the way you look at him.” Couldn’t he just shut up for one minute? Aaron chose to ignore what he said and picked up his pint instead – gulping down almost half of it within a few seconds. Adam lifted his eyebrows. “Mate, you gotta talk to him sometime.” “Shut up.” Another sip. “Calm down, will ya? At least try and enjoy yourself while you’re here.” Aaron was glad Adam finally gave up. Yet he couldn’t bring himself to stop glancing over to Jackson every now and then. He was chatting with someone. Flirting, maybe. He didn’t care. Or so he repeated in his head. “It’s not that bad in here,” Adam commented, “and look, there’s pool tables. Wanna have a go?” “Dead boring.” Truthfully, he just didn’t want to be somewhere to be easily spotted. The last thing he could do with now was Jackson approaching and insulting him. He couldn’t deal with it. He glanced over again, as he realised that Jackson and that other guy were kissing now. Aaron was quite sure it wasn’t a friendly peck, although it broke after a few seconds. Jackson had that kind of grin on his face that he had also had after their kiss. His face turned then, right over and before Aaron could look away, their eyes met. Jackson’s expression rapidly cooled down and he turned to the other bloke again, chatting easily as if to demonstrate that Aaron meant nothing to him and he didn’t give two pence that he had seen. Aaron was still in shock about what had just happened, when he noticed that Adam had seen, too. He wanted to get up and run as fast as possible, but Adam’s hand pulled him back down. “Aaron ...” – “I’m fine!” Adam snorted. “Of course you’re not!” Aaron was trembling now. He tried to convince himself it didn’t matter. He knew better. Was he that insignificant? That after a few weeks Jackson could go snog a different lad? “Go over to him,” Adam insisted, “Apologise.” “Well, that won’t do any good, will it.” It wasn’t a joke. It was dead serious. “I’m not saying that he’ll get back together with you...” – “We weren’t together,” Aaron snapped, but Adam overlooked that comment. “...but he deserves an apology.” Aaron raised his glass once again and emptied it, noticing faintly that Adam had only had a few sips. Then he got up, determined not to let himself be stopped and hurried outside. He heard Adam following him as he rushed outside. “Don’t do anything stupid – “ “I wasn’t planning to!” Aaron was shouting now. He realised that people on the streets were looking at him and quickly continued walking down. Adam followed, determined not to let him go on his own. Why couldn’t everyone just leave him be? Angrily, he kicked an empty can of beer out of his way. “Aaron, stop.” He didn’t know why he obeyed. As he looked on the ground, he realised how empty he really felt. “I’m yer mate. You can talk to me.” Adam approached him carefully. He seemed honestly concerned about Aaron. It was too much. It reminded him of December, after that accident that had stirred up all this mess in the first place. Jackson and the kiss, the desperation when he locked himself up in the garage, the fear of rejection, everything came crashing down. For a few seconds, he wanted to throw himself at Adam, kick his head in, anything. But he couldn’t move. Instead his eyes filled with tears as his heart seemed to literally break inside of him. Adam didn’t say anything. He calmly put his Arms around Aaron – he tried to wiggle out, scared that he might lash out again, or try to kiss Adam or anything but he was too numb – and told him without any words that it was alright. That it was fine. Only it wasn’t. *** They remained silent during the journey. As the bus stopped in Emmerdale and they left the house, Aaron was desperate to just get home, into bed and forget about everything that had happened, go to sleep, wake up and realise that it had just been a dream. But of course Adam wouldn’t let him go that easily. “Are you sure you don’t wanna talk?” he asked, carefully. “I’m fine, mate.” Aaron wanted to be. He had shown enough weakness for his whole life and felt terribly ashamed of himself. “You really liked him, then?” Adam questioned further, ignoring what Aaron had said. Aaron didn’t know what to reply. Maybe he did, maybe he didn’t. He had just felt that he had belonged somewhere, that he was okay. That someone could understand him. Looking back, it felt rather like some crazy fantasy. Yet, he nodded subtly, looking at the ground. Yes, he had wished that Jackson liked him. That it was possible to like someone like him. And even though he knew that Adam cared about him, it didn’t do it. He could imagine that Adam was thinking a lot of things. For example that he shouldn’t have hit Jackson if he really was that into him, or that it was pathetic to think Jackson would like him back, or hope anything would develop. Aaron was even ready to spit back a response, an explanation, a nasty comment. But Adam didn’t say anything. He looked concerned, but also full of understanding. “Well, I guess I’ll see you round, then. Tell Paddy I said hi.” Aaron nodded. “Kay.” There was an awkward silence. Aaron turned round and walked away, towards Smithy Cottage. He didn’t look, but he could’ve sworn that Adam watched him go inside. Things had changed. Too much.

--- Change Mostly Aaron and Adam, not romantic though. “What if they that bloke actually went to the police and told them? Fantastically written!!! As always, sooky. You have the characterization down to a tee.
But since you insisted on a bit of criticism, I can only find two lines which I would change. (Just two out of a masterpiece of other sentences.)
The first line would be, change "Aaron didn't reply anything", to "Aaron didn't reply" or to "Aaron didn't reply at all".
The second line would be "but Adam overheard the comment" to "but Adam overlooked the comment".
Other than that, I cannot see how you'd improve it. You should be part of the Emmerdale screenwriting team ;D

Thanks to you all - you don't know how much this means to me! As to the two lines, I see why you'd change them. (Sometimes I use german word combinations without noticing, which is annoying because I can't see the odd wording unless others point it out.) And I remember "overhear" actually only means that you listen to something by accident - in German, you see, it means both. Which doesn't make it any less wrong. But I'll leave it for now. Anyway, thank you again. You really do boost my confidence. (So much that, you know, I'm sitting at the computer instead of snoozing in my bed at three thirty in the morning. It's all your fault! ) If you continue doing this, you won't get rid of me. But don't recommend me to the scriptwriting team in Emmerdale - you'll regret it thoroughly...

You know, my first fic I posted was initially supposed to be adult-rated, but I kinda didn't catch the right time. I tend to get lost in emotion and description and what-not and in the end, it didn't seem to fit anymore. (We girls have a thing for that, you know, emotions. ) Maybe I'll get around it, though. I already have an idea, sort of (Just tell me why I'm this creative at night. I can't write a damn when it's light outside but it just keeps flowing when I'm supposed to sleep!) but I doubt it's exactly what you're thinking of. Anyway, I am kinda scared since I'm a girl, never seen a boy naked and don't plan to do so. To sum up: I know that sometimes you're just looking for a fine piece of smut, I do too, sometimes, but... y'know.

I've read two Fanfics written by you sooky and they are both superb. You have a real talent IMO, Its no joke to say that you should send them in to Emmerdale! Please keep writing for us though and as Dannybaby says, write what comes naturally. Smut is all well and good but a finely crafted story with the emotional nuances that you do so well is infinitely better.

Yeah, I gotta say that the writers seem to be lacking consistency. Didn't Adam just say last week that he's been talking to Aaron on the phone a lot? But now Aaron is being immediately pissy with Adam upon his return. But then yet again, didn't Aaron move past that pissiness last month when he shook Adam's hand and decided they could be mates again? So, Aaron should be acting like he's back on good terms with Adam at this point. Actually, having rewatched that episode, I don't think it was to be deduced that Aaron had phoned Adam several times. He said something to the effect of, "I've had Aaron on the phone wondering why he can't get through to you (Holly)." It could have been one phone call in desperation, a last resort. So there's no reason why there still can't be a bit of antagonism about the car kiss. Again looking back on old episodes, just a few more suggestive quotes. 10th Nov 2009, Ryan is giving Aaron a driving lesson. Aaron backs out of the garage, and nearly backs into Adam . Adam jokingly asks "Are you trying to run me over or something?" (This mirrors Aaron trying to run Adam down on the 10th dec 2009) Adam (continues) : Are you sure you know what you're letting yourself in for? Ryan: I'm starting to have very serious doubts. (A John Paul/Craig reference ) Then on the 11th Nov, Aaron passes by Andy, and shouts out the window to him. Aaron: Got to be more careful, you, next time. Might get yourself run over. (mirroring 10th Nov ) Later on in the same episode, Andy and Katie are talking about Ryan and their own respective love lives. Andy: My head's just beginning to get straight, so the last thing I need is a girl messing it up. Then, after Katie asks for Andy's opinion about whether Ryan is the one. Andy: Well...(Andy looks over at Ryan and Aaron who are by the dartboard) he seems a genuine bloke. (As Andy looks at Ryan and Aaron, the camera has been positioned so that Ryan is left of centre with Katie, conversely, with Aaron and Andy). This, to me, seems deliberate. Otherwise, they would have used an Andy's POV shot looking at them instead of carefully placing the 4 of them like that. A sign of things to come in the distant future? Or am I reading way too much into this? It could also add the dynamic of aaron of seemingly getting together with a girl, and then ending up pining for their brother Holly/Adam, Victoria/Andy..... So.... if Aaron were to go with Nathan, he'd have to go through Maisie first Sooky, I was just wondering, since you are a master of fanfic, would it be in your power to write an Andy/Aaron one? I know this could be a bit harder since there is very little material to with it, except for the episode indicated in the quote box. I was just seeing if you'd be willing to give it a go.
