www.digitalspy.ie/showbiz/s12/emmerdale/news/a377933/ex-emmerdale-star-danny-miller-dumped-by-kirsty-leigh-porter.htmlEx-'Emmerdale' star Danny Miller 'dumped by Kirsty-Leigh Porter'Ex-Emmerdale star Danny Miller has allegedly split from girlfriend Kirsty-Leigh Porter.
According to the Daily Star, Porter left Miller after she discovered he had been approaching girls in nightclubs for sex.
A supposed friend of Miller claimed: "He's acted like a complete idiot. Kirsty is a lovely girl and gave him chance after chance.
"He was going out acting like a single lad. Kirsty is a strong girl and decided she couldn't go on with their relationship."
The insider added: "She really loved Danny and still can't believe the way he treated her."
Porter originally split from Miller in March last year for a reportedly similar reason, before the pair reunited in the summer.
Porter herself appeared on Emmerdale for a year from 2010, leaving her role of Roz Fielding in April 2011.
Meanwhile, Miller quit his high-profile part on Emmerdale late last year, filming his final scenes in March.

From what I've heard, the above story is pretty inaccurate. Although the couple have broken up, the 'begging for sex' claim is untrue. The story was apparently sold to the Daily Star by Kirsty-Leigh Porter's agent Laura Graham who agreed to let it be spiced up enough to make it sellable. Still, better news for Danny tonight as he has just won the 2012 BSA Award as "Best Actor" for the second year running.

Danny Miller was interviewed by the Chesterfield Post after a charity match. Here are the relevant bits (as they also interviewed other participants): Danny Miller (left) is enjoying a break from filming schedules at the moment , having just left his role as Aaron on Emmerdale. He was making his first trip to Chesterfield too, having been detained on set last year due to the heavy storylines which saw him win awards for his performance as the troubled gay teenager.
Along with local actor Daniel Jillings. he was the driving force behind the charity and admits that he's delighted to be able to do it, though it is undoubtedly time intensive getting everyone in one place at the right time.
A charming, quietly spoken and courteous young lad, he spoke to us before kick off and explained to us just why not doing anything with the profile the show gave him just wasn't an option...
"It's a great thing to do - as a charity game it's a mess and a laugh, but men will be men and it does get quiet competitive out there, especially when decisions don't go our way!
"It's good fun and a chance for the families to come down and see lads off the telly having a laugh - it's good. I always said that if I ever made it, I'd give back what I could. Dan and I started this charity to make a difference to people who can get forgotten about in bereavements. Dan has his reasons and I have mine for doing it and we wanted to make a difference to some young families out there."
The charity was specially created after the football became such a hit wasn't it? "Yes, the football is the main core of the charity as we already had a fan base with the football and the lads from the different soaps. They’re brilliant - the lads from Eastenders travel every weekend from London - the passion and the dedication is there and that always makes it ten times better than a normal kick about with ten people , it’s a real big help for us “
And, as well as the charity work, what is he up to now? "I'm just back out on the auditions, and doing a bit of writing, which is great now the sun is shining, I think maybe I did make the right decision after all! I'd love to get back into work again some time soon though."
After winning national acclaim for the role he played for years he must miss it? "Emmerdale was a massive part of my life, 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. I do miss the cast and crew - they were like a second family. I would have been happy to have been stuck there for ever but I didn't want to look back in 30 years and think I should have got out."
And was he hopeful of victory? "Well we beat them last year - we bought the trophy with us - it's all for charity and a bit of fun but we would secretly like to win, yes!" Source: www.chesterfieldpost.co.uk/community/charity_events/charity_00000123.html

He's perfect for a period piece.

Just finished watching pretty much the entire Emmerdale series involving Danny Miller's character. It took a few months but it was well worth it.
Living in the States, we just do not have soap operas or television dramas of this caliber. If you add a gay element - forget about it - some of the worst stuff on television.
Danny Miller's performances were so top notch, (all kidding aside) they were actually Oscar caliber. I have seen pretty much most of the films with Oscar winning performances of the last two decades and most of them do not come close to what this young man did on this show. I was stunned to the depth of acting such a young man could achieve especially considering his own sexuality.
Three cheers to the the British for once again putting out incredible story lines, but more importantly such a tremendously gifted actor in Danny Miller. I would love to see him here in the USA doing some work. He would be brilliant.

I know exactly how you feel and it got to the point that i didn't realize i was so invested that i was so choked up and i took it hard and was bawling my eyes out after he left because in a way i think i felt it was a part of my life that's how good it was.

Danny is returning to Emmerdale Aaron is backI decided not to link to the Digital Spy article since that is full of comments from keyboard warriors claiming he's come crawling back because he couldn't get another job. Silly nonsense as he has been busy filming on two different TV productions in the past year. For those in the UK, one of those, a remake of Jamaica Inn will be starting on BBC1 later this month.

Liking the longer hair now that he's sporting. Very dapper.

If we could decide who we loved, it would be much simpler, but less magical.

I really like his longer hair too, that short style really didn't suit him.

Short but sweet interview with Danny Miller at the TV choice awards. Slightly spoilery about Marlon and Carly so if you want to skip that Danny's question starts at 39 seconds.
