is it just me or is it rare to see danny and marc together in pictures or video interviews? by pictures, i don't mean photoshoots for mag layouts but events. danny's been paired up with mark c. and dominic in tv interviews but never w/ marc.

It has to be said, they look happier here than they did in the interview.

Well, if that was taken a bit before their Calendar interview, I can imagine, perhaps, why that was the case.

(what I imagine happened)
1. Danny & Marc are introduced to the presenters in the green room and they take that photo.
2. The interviewers give a brief summary to Marc & Danny of what kind of questions they're going to ask them, so that they'll be mentally prepared as to what they'll say, and so that they don't end up completely mute at a question that might have surprised them.
3. The interviewers probably told Marc & Danny that would be bringing up Gavin Blyth, to make sure that they're okay to talk voluntarily, for even a small bit, about Gavin.
4. So during the interview, they knew this question would be coming up, and so they may have felt a small bit down as a result, particularly Danny, for whom the emotional effect of Gavin's death was very acute. (He's fighting back the tears during the interview )



Or else the pic was taken after; then my theory is blown completely out of the water.

I enjoyed that interview. I thought Danny came across very well in it; really self-effacing and polite, though I have to admit that I wasn't too enamoured with the host's insistance that Danny had the NTA Award in the bag. That sort of thing comes back to bite you on the bum.

Just listened to the interview; that's the most relaxed I've heard him; I almost felt like I was at a poetry reading or something.

Pity that Marc's nomination wasn't mentioned though.
