Thanks for your comments Carld2, it's much appreciated. As you say, Andy for sure, but David Metcalfe( Matt Wolfenden) seems to constantly struggle to conceal his manhood in whatever jeans/trousers he is required to wear. I guess he takes after David Beckham in more than looks. Carl King and Nathan Wilde also put on a pretty good showing too. It's a shame there isn't a decent gay storyline but that could soon change at anytime. I'll have to keep an eye out after your picks. I have noticed that about David (who is so gorgeous, there's so much of him to stare at -- and he'd be very believable in a bi story), and sometimes Carl. I'll have to look again with Nathan. What a difficult task. ;D I wish more people watched the show. Overall it's much better than the other British soaps, but many seem to have given up on Emmerdale for good. I wish they'd brought in another gay character after Paul left. Paul was actually a great character early on, before the personality was drained from him.

Thank you for those clips and caps. I hadn't noticed about Nathan but I definitely will now. There's something cute about him even as his personality is so annoying, like the smug posh type who wants to be dominated.
Funny you mention about Andy. I think, back when he was still married to Katie, he had a friend, and some idiot started spreading rumors about this man being gay. Andy went ballistic and treated his friend like garbage. He was so humiliated by the whole thing he left town in shame. Everyone was bewildered about Andy's reaction. I wonder if they were dropping hints about Andy's sexual orientation.

Thank you! I enjoy that song she was listening to in one of the clips. It was on the Queer Eye soundtrack. I don't know the name, but it fits poor Faye ("you're so totally deluded...you'll end up old and lonely"). I wish Mark and Natasha were nicer to her.

Thanks for the interview! I'm looking forward to this story, and seeing Ryan get to interact with more characters. The show is going through a big state of transition at the moment but I hope the story with the Wyldes and Ryan and Faye will be popular. I'm looking forward to seeing Ryan meet Maisie and especially Nathan.
They don't share much of a story (although he will be in some upcoming scenes with Ryan and Faye), but I like the Barton family. Did you see how good the Barton father looked in those jeans? I had a difficult time looking up, but he's a handsome guy all over. The bit of chest hair peeking through his top is also nice.

I don't think it helps that Nathan gives off such a strong gay vibe. Or bisexual at the very least. They would have made a hot couple...you know if they weren't brothers.
You're right about the jeans. The show has become more male-dominated this year, which, don't get me wrong, I love strong female characters (especially Debbie), but I don't mind the eye candy.
This story is starting to pick up a lot of steam. I thought the crash was well done. Not too overly dramatic, which helped make it more realistic and frightening. James did a great job in those scenes, and I liked seeing Mark instinctually run to help his son. Maxwell Caulfield is growing into the role.

What is the UGDS incest story about?
Thank you again for the clips and discussion. Since this isn't a gay story, I can see why we are the only two commenting, but I do appreciate all you're doing. If you ever need to take a break, or stop, because of your computer, then I just wanted to say thanks for what you've done so far.

Thank you for posting the full episodes. I hope they will have some gay stories soon as more here will want to see. The show is quite good, some great acting (along with the not so great) and as they say in the UK, "totty".

Yes, I like soaps that have veteran character, but a number of them on Emmerdale get on my nerves. My favorite is Edna.
This week is leading up to the exit of her sister, flame-haired Lily. The man who is taking her away is played by Paul Darrow, who of course was one-half of one of the big cult slash pairings of the 70s and 80s, Blake/Avon on Blake's 7.

Thank you again. It's nice to see more of Edna. I wish they could give her even more but it's a good balance, as they don't ruin the character. Did you know they used to have stories where she was a champion ballroom dancer? I'd like to see that again.

The character. She used to do ballroom dancing with another older character, a garageman named Jarvis. That was one of the few times she wasn't wearing her hat. She had another headgear on.
The actress has done quite a few things; her most famous role was probably being the first actress to play the slutty sister Rose on Keeping Up Appearances.

Anthony D. Langford reported this in his page
Is gay love about to make its way to Emmerdale? U.K. soap mags are talking of rumors that the rural-set soap opera is about to embark on a gay love story and that two of the show’s young hunks would find themselves becoming much more than friends. There’s no word on who the lovebirds will be, though there is much speculation that the two guys in question are Aaron Livesy, played by Danny Miller and Adam Barton, played by Adam Thomas.
Will Adam Barton (Adam Thomas) and Aaron Livesy (Danny Miller) be Emmerdale’s new gay lovebirds?
According to Digital Spy, the two young men are pals and things are going swimmingly when something happens and their friendship takes a twist. To further add to the speculation, Inside Soap Yearbook reports that Aaron, who is dating Adam’s sister Holly, finds himself having feelings for someone he didn’t expect and it proves to be a struggle for him to control his desires. A familiar gay themed story to be sure. But it remains to be seen whether the impending gay romance is between these two young men or other characters entirely.
Emmerdale has a long history of telling both gay and lesbian stories, but all of its gay characters were unceremoniously tossed from the series last year when then executive producer Anita Turner came on board. Since then, Turner has left the series and it looks like gays may soon be making their way back to Emmerdale
someone please can tell me where find the channel of this soaps in YT or if there is anyone who follows these characters???

It seems there's been a crackdown on YT and accounts have been suspended that posted clips of Emmerdale. I have, however, found this clip from August which has both Aaron & Adam in it ( just so folks can get to see what they look like) Aaron appears at 1:58 and Adam appears at 2:49 The actor who plays Adam used to play "Donte" in Waterloo road.

Thanks a lot for the heads up about this new storyline. The boys are cute and I'll sure try to follow them when the s/l will take off (plus seeing James Sutton is always a bonus for me )

Whee! Another gay (hopefully) storyline! ;D Thanks for the links Alicat! Thanks for posting that clip Sheepie. Here's something a lot more recent , however, remember, this storyline hasn't started yet, but it's fun to watch , knowing what we know from the spoilers... From November 10th: Aaron starts to get a driving lesson from Ryan, (James Sutton) , and almost runs over Adam. Anyhow, from what I've read, Aaron is a sort of lads lad, and can be quite surly, but also has a sweet side. He's currently trying to get into a girl named Holly's pants. Holly's brother is Adam. He and Aaron are friendly. Aaron will succeed in getting with Holly, but very soon after, things will change. As per the ITV spoilers, Aaron and Adam will plan a boys night out, but Adam invites his sister to join them. Aaron is not thrilled. Which I guess is our first sign of what's to come. Holly and the boys end up being separated on their night out, and later the boys get in a car accident. Apparently, in the rush of adrenalin after, as Adam tends to a cut Aaron has gotten, Aaron tries to kiss Adam. Spoilers also say that Aaron will totally freak out that he just tried to kiss his friend. And that when Holly asks what's going on later, that Adam lies and doesn't tell her that Aaron tried to kiss him. Meanwhile, Aaron is still freaked out.Dunh dunh dunh...... ;D Looking forward to this!

I am SO excited for this new storyline. Fingers crossed they won't drop the ball on this one. It has so much potential! I really hope Adam does turn out to be Aaron's long term love interest. I really liked the actor playing Adam when he was on Waterloo Road. I would be thrilled to see him in a gay storyline. That being said - I know one of the UK soaps, I think it was actually Emmerdale, had a similar plot in the past. Where a character just discovering his sexuality kisses the brother of the girl he is seeing. In that storyline, the brother is furious that this guy is lying to his sister, and forces him to come out. Which could very well be where this story is headed, with Adam simply being the catalyst for Aaron's coming out. But I have all my fingers crossed that this will be another John Paul/Craig situation instead! Thank you very much Alicat for those helpful links!! Just to bring the Adam/Aaron related spoilers over here (Highlight to read): Tuesday, Dec. 8:Aaron (Danny Miller) hides his disappointment when Adam (Adam Thomas) invites Holly (Sophie Powles) out on their lad's night. Wednesday, Dec. 9:Holly (Sophie Powles) is stunned when Aaron (Danny Miller) is suddenly disinterested in her and her flirting with him goes unnoticed. Is Aaron just playing hard to get or has he moved on?Thursday, Dec. 10 Part 1:Aaron (Danny Miller), Adam (Adam Thomas) and Holly (Sophie Powles) are on a night out when Aaron is asked for ID, Holly goes off with her friends and the lads leave. On the way home, Aaron almost crashes the car and caught up in the moment he moves in to kiss Adam. Thursday, Dec. 10 Part 2:Aaron (Danny Miller) is in turmoil after making a move on Adam (Adam Thomas) and snaps at Paddy (Dominic Brunt) and Chas (Lucy Pargeter) before pushing Lizzie (Kitty McGeever) over, leaving her terrified thinking she's been mugged. Will Aaron face up to his feelings? Friday, Dec. 11:Aaron (Danny Miller) attempts to shut out the events from the night before, while Adam (Adam Thomas) lies to Holly (Sophie Powles) about what happened. When he tries to reach out to Aaron he's shocked by his cool reaction. Can Aaron convince Adam it was nothing?Unfortunately, you cannot view ITV website videos outside of the UK. I'm going to try to clip some of the past few week's episodes, so we can be caught up on what is going on with these characters for when the storyline begins.

That was the beginning of the Todd's coming out storyline on Coronation street This story is featured further on in the Other Shows thread. Aaron is definitely the dysfunctional teenager of the village with a history of misdeeds & bad attitudes - although every now & again there's a hint that there's a nicer guy underneath. I'm curious as to where this storyline will lead and (as yet) am not entirely convinced that Adam is gonna reciprocate any feelings - having said that Emmerdale has had a fairly decent reputation in the past for including gay characters and storylines and (so far) hasn't actually done the " gay teen coming out" storyline. You're a star - though they haven't been featured much lately.

I think this story has a lot of potential, if handled well. I'm really hoping for a coming out / romance here, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that neither actor has plans to leave any time soon!
I'd be very happy indeed with a McDean meets Ollian story. McDean, because it was about two best friends falling in love, and Ollian because it shows an alpha-male guy finally opening up and finding love where he least expected it.
tubedout - Eastenders did a similar sl a good few years ago. Tiffany was dating Tony, then Tiffany's openly gay brother Simon showed up, and Tony (who up to that point was straight) started seeing Simon. Tony and Simon got caught out by Tiffany, and ended up in a realtionship together. After much trauma and a break-up or two later, they finally left the show together - a happy ending, quite a rarity for Eastenders!

Seems like UK soaps are quite keen on the brother / sister / sister's boyfriend triangle
