I find the premiere disappointing. They are still continuing to snub Mercedes, Tina, Mike and Artie. DO NOT like Rachel. And I am going to get really sick of Kurt. And I am also getting annoyed by Sue. Will and Emma are boring, no one wants to see them. And what's with the random characters? Can they stop stealing the original cast's screentime? Their screentime could have belonged to those who got snubbed, Lauren and Sam. Songs are ok, but the episode is a total disappointment. I got a feeling this season may suck. Well as long as you stay open minded and optimistic about the whole thing that's all that counts... ;D ;D

Heh. I haven't had a chance to watch this week's episode yet, but my expectations for Glee aren't terribly high .

Funny, because I absolutely adored the new episode. Yes, it was all rushed and there was a lot going on and stuff, but honestly they were just setting out the stories for this season. It was really an introduction of how the new season will be, if you ask me and I'm excited. The only thing that bothered me was Blaine's reason for transferring. No parent would allow their child to transfer over that and especially not Blaine's father if what he said to Burt was true.

I enjoyed the espoide as well when I saw it. You have to understand it was the first esp. we have 21 more to go, so you can't expect everything on the first esp.

No parent would allow their child to transfer over that and especially not Blaine's father if what he said to Burt was true. Ditto all of that for me, except to add that the transfer also made me lose respect for Blaine. He was supposedly this level-headed "Tom-Ford-esque" cool cookie number, which would lead one to think that such a person would have his eyes firmly fixed on the importance of not just school results, but the kind of school you go to when being considered by the best universities. To jeopardise that "for love" just seemed ridiculous and utterly out of character and irritated me. (if he'd said something along the lines of "this is my last chance to face my fears that I ran away from before" I'd have bought it a hell of a lot more... Also, Kurt saying "you didn't do this for me?" irritated the crap out of me, after he'd thrown the emotional blackmailing book at him in the previous scene!) But, that aside, it set up some interesting stuff and was, on baance, frothy, enjoyable fun.

What the actual fuck. Is it true that it's been confirmed Blaine is a JUNIOR!?
If that's true I don't know what I'll do but eating my socks might be an option.

Hmm. I happened to be around and watched big chunks of yesterday's episode, but I'm pretty sure I missed some important storyline bits. I guess I'll have to watch it again when I have some time.

I´m sad...really sad....and i need to talk about it with somebody...i don´t have tumblr ( it´s a misterious world for me,maybe i´m too old) ...i only got this place, so if you don´t mind...sorry but i have this big weigth in my chest and i need to release it. The recent "events" in the New Yorker Festival about the kurtofsky kiss, made think that maybe i was living a little oblivious from how the whole glee fandom breath...and i decide to take a look for the internet ....and oh my god.... I ´m appalled by the amount of hate that people are able to vomit ... it´s so sad...how can somebody express so much hate for a scared teenager (that made mistakes, of course, as EVERYBODY) and after that, they keep chatting about love and rainbows and unicorns in a rainbow.....arghhh! I can´t understand so much hypocrisy, or maybe it's immaturity or maybe lack of compassion and empathy ... i don´t know but for me it´s really disappointing to see these flashes of the true and disgusting human nature reflected in the behavior of people by something as trivial as a TV series. (and I'd rather not talk about the lack of respect for the work of Max and Chris) I don´t know...., maybe I'm upset for no reason, but I'm really sad today.

really enjoyed this week's episode- highlights for me were the focus on Mike (and yes, dancing with his mum did get me teary)- having worked as a teacher in China for 6 yrs, I've definitely seen the pressure that children (not just teens) go through, so it all rang true for me. Also, the stuff with Rachel- from the reactions of Kurt, Mercedes and Finn, it set up well the "at what cost fame" angle. Mercedes I know was being whiny, but I would have done the same as her, she knew she was better than Rachel, Rachel knew she was better, so why the hell did Mercedes just not clean get the part? I'm sure I would have had that hurt and anger running thru my head. I'm worried about her saying she was feeling ill- hope it's not foreshadowing an illness (don't think they'd do another pregnancy story)... And Kurt, in a few small moments surprised and delighted me- giving Blaine the flowers was wonderful, and a nice contrast to Rachel's rel with Finn, where she obviously hadn't even thought about the impact her standing for President would have on his relationship with his step brother. In general, I liked so many elements about this ep, but mostly that it showcased the lesser seen characters more. Hell, I even managed to enjoy Will's scenes, as they felt honest and true, a million miles from his scenes in season 2 where I had to fast forward most. I give this episode an Asian F

^ Ditto! I totally teared up over Mike dancing with his mom and Emma crying when her OCD flared up. Loved the flower scene.

I just can't get over Mercedes's boyfriend. He was supposed to be good for her and now I feel like he is sort of setting her up against Rachel. I get that she wants to out-shine Rachel, but things she said just weren't true, about things being the Rachel Berry show and Schue favoriting her. She really annoyed me.
Also about the auditions, maybe Mercedes was better and in showbizz she would've gotten the part, but this isn't showbizz, this is school. Emma, coach Beiste and Artie know Rachel needs it to get into NYADA and any good teacher considers that in their decisions. So I don't think it's weird at all that they got double cast.
As for Kurt and Blaine, the flower scene did seem kind of pointless during the entire episode but I guess it was just a set up for a storyline, not sure if that would be the issue with PDA or the fact that Kurt didn't really seem as happy as he said he would when Blaine got the part, I don't know. I think the former.
Furthermore, not an Asian F for this episode, but a definite A. Glee is back where it belongs if you ask me.

I don't know if Mercedes would have gotten the part simply because her vocal rang wouldn't work with Maria but more so she has yet to prove she wants to be a team player. Right now, she's all about wanting the spotlight, which is no better IMO than what she accuses Rachel of hogging. Mercedes has vitality but it's been shown from the beginning that she has problems working hard. It will be interesting to see if Mercedes changes that habit being in Shelby's club since it's been referenced that when Shelby lead Vocal Adreline, she was a slave driver and ass kicker about performances & practice.

I think the former. Yes, but I think it was to also show that "people" like Kurt and Blaine (or at least Blaine) don't feel comfortable with being all touchy at school, and thus it would be a good thing if Kurt was chosen for President because then he could make "life better" for people like him Wasn't that what he said to Rachel in the hallway later on?

I think the flower scene was nice. I believe Kurt wanted to show that he was happy for Blaine, for getting the part and that he wasn't mad. But I think he was a little bit.

Love it! But maybe it's good idea to move it to the spoiler discussion, since it's mostly about next week, lol! ;D

^ I was wondering about that myself. Is something that already aired on TV actually considered a spoiler? In the other Glee Forum, those mods don't consider it a spoiler because basically anyone who watches the show on TV has already seen the preview.

Yeah, I'm in conflict over that myself, I also think that it isn't a spoiler because it's already in the promo, but what he says at the end before he faints doesn't become clear in the promo and that is mostly what I was thinking about, but I'm not sure. I guess this has also already aired (the glee cap I mean), so it isn't a spoiler.

I just saw the new episode of Glee! Grant is such a dreamboat! Everytime he smiled, I lighted up! I hate Sebastian! I was wondering how old is Sebastian supposed to be? Or the grade he's in? I hope Kurt and Blaine stay together, Sebastian knows what he's doing, and he's pretty good at it. I hope that Blaine doesn't fall for Sebastian's charms.
I love Karofsky's scene with Kurt, but unfortunately it seems it won't be more than that. I wish that Karofsky didn't transfer, but I can't change the writer's minds.
I really didn't like the Artie intro of being an authoritative figure and pushing Rachel and Blaine to have sex. Good thing they didn't, well at the time.
West Side Story was awesome! Enough said.
