In the scene in Part 467 where Lucas has left and Noud is just beginning to work on the sound system as Wiet watches, the song that's playing is One Way or Another by Blondie - a song about a woman obsessed with a man. Oh, dear! It does seem like Wiet is still in love with Noud. I am too, so I can't blame her, but this is what drove her into madness before. Is GTST going to recycle that same story? I hope not, but the spoilers suggest they might. Lucas will probably be a big part of the story, if it happens. Maybe Menno is going to have more than one psychotic woman to deal with.

This new storyline with Menno has so many posibilities.
I love it the beginning, and i think this time it will be very different for Lucas (i don't know wich path will take this, but i think it will be interesting)

Lucas is pleasantly surprised by an unexpected phone call. Nuran doesn't want to reveal her secret so she has no choice but to lie right to Rik's face. Bing is overjoyed after a message from the hospital. He even suggests to bury the hatchet between him and Aysen.

May 10:
Bianca is in shock when she sees in what condition Sjoerd is. For Anton it's very difficult to not get involved with Sjoerd. The lives of Rikki and Tim are also all about Sjoerd's addiction. Noud is done with Nina's fickle behavior. Sjors is confronted with a dark side of Mike.

I can't wait to see how story with Menno and Lucas will unfold, i like Menno, he is charming, mature and very hot
i really missed this show so i'm happy to watch it again with a joy

It's probably just Menno calling, huh. For a hot second I was like 'Stefano?!' then 'Bilal?!', but I imagine it'll be Menno giving some interest.

I hope Lucas will get the chance, I just hope Stefano's been on the straight and narrow. Can't be too sure with the Sanders' I guess.

Aww, I wish he could have met Edwin. And I wonder if they'll make another sentiment about Ed this romance as well. I hope they do, cos I'm pretty sure Edwin's down on record as Lucas' first love and the one he'll always remember.

But... this still doesn't have to mean anything. Maybe he'll become a permanent character later on (this is what happened with Wiet). So we just have to wait and see what happens. I do know I'm going to enjoy it.

It's interesting that there's not even a video interview on GTST.nl. All new cast members, even guest roles, get those video interviews. Maybe they don't want to give too much away. If we know he's a permanent character we can all assume Lucas and Menno will get together in a long-term relationship. This way it would remain a secret.

Just saw tomorrow's scenes. I don't really understand the 'romantic windfall' spoiler. Lucas gets a call from Menno. He wants to question him. But while Lucas is trying to seduce Menno, Menno is keeping things very formal. But at the end Lucas is convinced that Menno wants him too so maybe that's what they meant with that spoiler.

I think Menno wants to be a professional. But before he knew who Lucas was I think he was definitely interested in Lucas. I'm convinced eventually they'll get together in some way.

In that situation, it would be very unprofesional if Menno has something with Lucas before the case is solved.
I don't think Lucas is being delusional, Menno seemed quite interested before knowing who Lucas is, but it won't be Lucas if he has some patience

It's hard to tell if Menno is going to be permanent or not. His story line - an outsider with no family connections comes to town to deal with a specific situation - suggests he'll have a story arc and then be gone. Being with the state police also suggests Meerdijk is just his current assignment. Of course, he could decide to take a job with the Meerdijk police, but wouldn't that be step down in his career?

I think it depends on what job with the Meerdjik police he takes (and why). He's an investigator meaning he might travel alot, so maybe he decides to stay because he doesn't want to keep moving from place to place. Maybe he wants to settle down in one place. A life in hotel rooms can get boring and frustrating fast. Especially if he developes strong feelings for Lucas, that kind of life could seem empty. The writers seem to like giving Lucas men who are the opposie of him to balance him out a litlte. Meno seems (at least right now) to be the adult and out versions of Edwin and Bilal.

I'm a little worried that Lucas' romance with Menno is going to be plot-driven - that it exists mainly to create complications in the story of Aysen being brought down.

I hope you are wrong, this is the first time that a character makes a really suitable partner for Lucas (at least in the moment they know each other), with a lot of potential for future storylines, so i hope they don't spoil that

It could start out plot driven and turn into something more. I've seen shows do that before depending on the fan reaction to the character. For example in the American soap One Life to Live Todd Manning wasn't supposed to be a regular his was a guest spot and his character was there to drive the plot of Kevin Bucahnan (sp?). But because the charater became so popular mainly thanks great actor playing him, he became a regular and long running character who is now on General Hospital.

Great new spoilers, but I don't want to get my hopes up and let the ol' imagination go crazy.

I think it's obvious though that after Lucas takes action and gets nowhere, Lorena sets him up on the blind date to get his mind off Menno and to remind him there's more fish in the sea. I hope Menno sees and we get a reaction.
And I just hope a little of the romantic tension and UST is relieved somehow before Lucas is disappointed again and they're set back again. They got to give us something, lol.

Aysen making a useful discovery is probably her finding out about the romantic connection between Menno and Lucas.
