I was so happy when I saw this preview. And even though it's technically still not a confirmation... ;D I can't see how it's not going to be Menno. What are we going to call them? Lenno? Mencas? Luno?  |

Yeah I can't see how it's not going to be him either now. And of those, I'm partial to Luno  And I can't believe it's exactly the kind of guy I've wanted for Lucas. So perfect. I'm buzzin'. And the exchange here with Wiet is the perfect acknowledgment. Lucas wants some mature lovin'. But do you have any clue how old he'd actually be Mark? And I can't decide if the 2012 comment is in bad taste or not  |

But do you have any clue how old he'd actually be Mark? The actor is 31, but his character could easily be a few years younger. I really love this direction since it's completely different than what we've seen. And I can't decide if the 2012 comment is in bad taste or not I have no problem with that quote. Lucas didn't mean anything by it. And besides, 2011 was Ludwin's year. |

Yeah, it must be that guy. The spoiler says a guy Lucas is eyeing for Wiet turns out to be an option for him. That perfectly fits the preview.
So Lucas' next romance will be with an older, more confident guy. That fits with Lucas being tired of not being taken seriously. This guy could be a good influence on Lucas. Being a cop, there would also be a lot of story possibilities. Lucas is good at seeing through to the truth, so maybe he will be helping to solve cases. Also, bringing a cop into the Sanders family could be interesting since there is so much shady dealing within that family.

Dude is pretty hot. And he's older and out (assuming it's him). Lucas dating the town cop could be very interesting. I like it. Reason to watch this show again.

Ferry just said in RTL Boulevard that they're filming the summer cliffhanger today and tomorrow. I wonder if Lucas will play an important role in that cliffhanger.

I liked that for once Lucas' gaydar
wasn't clicked in and it took Wiet
to tell him that Menno was gay.
Since I understood nothing in the
shortie, I wonder what Menno did
or said to make her know. I'm already
getting a Lorena/Jack vibe from Lucas/
Menno. I so want to call them "Mucas",

They look like they have chemistry, and the cap of Lucas whispering in his ear and the look on Menno's face is hot. I can't wait to watch the clips.
And already the relationship is interesting, thank God. They must keep each other on their toes, and Menno's got some mysteriousness right now with Lucas because of this case. I'd think Menno, with being a cop and investigating Aysen/Danny, would definitely be involved in the summer cliffhanger drama whatever it is, and so Lucas should be as well.

It kind of looks like Menno might be the one doing the pursuing. That's would also be different from before.
Wow! An actual romantic story line for Lucas. And one that might not have an expiration date because his lover is a guest role. The Bilal story at the start of the season didn't really work for me. I never believed that either of them had deep feelings for the other. I think the writers were more interested in exploring Islam and homosexuality within Dutch culture. It never felt like Bilal was really for Lucas to me, but Menno might be for Lucas.
I wonder if Menno really will be permanent, though. Will he have a family connection?

Well from what I'v seen and read so far this look very interesting. Already it's different from anything we've seen when it comes to the men in Lucas' life. He had to be told by Wiet that Menno was gay (Lucas' usual perfect gaydar was completely off). I like that Menno is older, making him more settled not a teenager having his first love affiar, not someone so far in the cloest that he wouldn't know what light was if it were shinning in his face. It looks like Menno is the aggressor, which is also different. For once I'd love to see someone chase after Lucas and not the other way around. And because of a situation that happened early on in the season there is already tension between Menno and Lucas that has nothing to do with them being gay how refreshing.

Now that we've gotten confirmation of so much, what do we think of next Wednesday's 'romantic windfall' spoiler? I think literally it translates as 'Lucas gets lucky'. I don't think they'll sleep together obviously, that would be way too fast and rushed, but maybe Lucas takes someone else's notice and Menno gets jealous so he's forced to make a real move? I'm thinking maybe they'll even officially be dating and have their first kiss that episode.

He can always be revealed to be related to someone. Not unusual on soaps. Or they'll introduce his own family member(s). In Friday's episode Lucas and Lorena google Menno's name. I noticed the text "Niels Kuiper involved in..." Kind of sounds like this Niels was involved in something illegal. But not all permanent characters need family. The show has known several permanent characters in the past who weren't related to anyone. And as a cop he will have enough connections apart from Lucas, I think. |

About Menno being a permanent character or not: If he's a guest role then I think they should bring back Bilal. I know not everyone was a fan of him, but I liked him. And the end of their story line was too abrupt. There's an easy way to bring him back. Rik and Nuran are going to get married soon. It's possible Nuran and Bilal kept in contact. Then he could easily come to her wedding. And see Lucas there again.
