Hmm, but you'd think if they were going there with Lucas and Sjoerd, the angst would be that they're desperate to keep it a secret from their families, Sjoerd would probably undergo an identity crisis, they'd struggle with Edwin guilt, etc. It'd be interesting and dramatic, certainly, but no, I can't see them doing it. And I can't say that I'd enjoy it either. I like them like each other's surrogate brother and a great gay/straight friendship. If they shared a drunken kiss or something though, that'd be cool. I could see that helping them bond further, actually, and help them realize how much they relate to each other right now so they can help each other.

But I agree with what someone else has said, Lucas' love interests shouldn't keep having a show expiration date like they have. Hopefully they've got something really fresh and complicated and worth investing in with this new guy and the new relationship.

If it happens with Sjoerd, I think it will be a spontaneous thing that happens at a very emotional moment of Sjoerd's crisis. I doubt Sjoerd is secretly gay or even bisexual, so the story might be how Sjoerd deals with the fact that he got intimate with Lucas. He might want to push Lucas away, yet at the same time he loves Lucas for being there for him and because of his shared connection with Edwin. It could be an interesting story, if it happens.

There are still no signs of a new guy for Lucas in the spoilers. Perhaps the new lover will be a new permanent cast member who gets introduced near the end of the season. We've seen some evidence that Lucas wants to be taken more seriously than he is, so maybe this next guy will help him with that. Not sure Sjoerd would be much help in that area.

The coming week was the first week they filmed in 2013. That's also when we first heard about Lucas getting a new love interest. I believe they still had to start filming that story so we'll have to wait and see I guess. It could be at the end of this month but it also wouldn't surprise me if it's going to be April, May or even June.

Not much of Lucas all the way through March it seems. Sjoerd's downward spiral is continuing, but there's not an indication that Lucas is going to get drawn into that. If we take scenes that have happened earlier in the season between them as foreshadowing, that's all there is to go on - which isn't much. I wonder where the show is going with Sjoerd regardless of whether it involves Lucas or not. Is it all just to drum up some drama and he'll be back with Rikki at the story line's conclusion? He sells Edwin's moped for drugs apparently. Very shameful. He's going to need an intervention perhaps.

I have the feeling that we have to wait till the new seasons to watch new Lucas SL(I would like to be contradicted)...but i love the character and i am enjoying (despite all)his supporter role...
Hoping to see in the meanwhile more Lucas/Sjoerd/Noud scenes.....

Well this season Lucas is on the supporting role mode all the time (that's when he is not in barely there mode)

while i like the idea of them being lovers, i actually would want for Lucas finally have an out/proud boyfriend, closed case could be so tiring to watch and they did it before

I just can't see the show having Lucas and Sjoerd fall in love. It would be totally scandalous and create lots of drama (and kind of hot), but it seems kind of out there. And well, I don't want any more closet cases and Anton freaking out and such nonsense. Let's just give Lucas an out BF and make it interesting.

This photo was taken at an event for KIKA (Children Cancer free). For those who don't know the man next to Pip: that's Bas Muijs. He played Lucas' dad Stefano. Someone on Twitter asked Bas if/when he was coming back. Bas tweeted this back:

My last words on GTST in 2005 were "I'm coming back..."

Could it be...? I would be more excited about this than about a new love interest.

I'd be so interested for Stefano to come into the story ;D.

But the season's also close to being over. So isn't it likely that even if he is returning, it'll be in the cliffhanger drama?
It's also really late for them to be introducing a new love interest too. So I wonder how that'll work, how they'll be able to jump right into the relationship. Maybe he and Sjoerd do somehow end up hooking up, and there's a little fallout to get picked up next season.

There are still about 3 months left this season. If the love interest shows up next month they still have 2 months. Ferry did tweet this week that he had a lot of scenes to learn so I definitely think Ferry is filming Lucas' new story (finally!).

If Stefano comes back I think it will be at the end of the season or even next season. I don't really care when... As long as it happens. Really hope so!

I'm just reallly glad for Lucas getting a new storyline in a few weeks, whatever it is. It's been too long.

Well, he is absent of the spoilers for a couple of weeks, and his role this season (after Bilal dissapeared) is totally secondary. The truth is he was more important to the stories when he was in coma. Hopefully that will change soon

Not being mentioned in the spoilers, doesn't mean we don't see him. He has appeared every week in at least two episodes. It's true that his role is supporting right now, but unlike characters on other shows he didn't disappear for weeks. What we see now was filmed in January. That's also when Wicked ended. I think Ferry's role in Wicked had probably something to do with Lucas' supporting role.

I too think that Lucas Suppporting role,in these last months,is depending on Wicked!Glad that Ferry had this opportunity....and glad that,despite all, i saw him,about every week,in GTST....
Supporting role....yes,but always enjoying to watch Lucas!
BTW...Lucas character is so growing up...

Ferry hinted at it being different than with Ed and Bilal who he had to drag out of the closet. It seems like this new guy is not a closet case if Lucas is immediately ready to jump his bones. I want some casting news!

I'm so glad that Lucas is getting his very own storyline. I even glader that it's not going to be like Edwin or Bilal, in that he doesn't have to drag this guy kicking, screaming and hopefully not punching out of the closet. However, I also hope he isn't chasing this guy the way he had to with Edwin and Bilal. For once I want a serious love interest of Lucas to have to chase him and convince him, even if his hormones are raging.

If this is a guy whom Lucas is originally trying to get for Wiet, then he's probably roughly the same age as Lucas. Also, he must be straight acting and looking if Lucas doesn't realize he's gay at first. That Lucas' hormones get so worked up so quickly makes me think he's going to fail to bed this guy. Perhaps he's not the type who's into the quick hook-up thing and is only interested in real relationships. That would fit in with where the writers seem to be going with Lucas. He's getting tired of his lifestyle himself, it seems. I wouldn't be surprised if the new guy has a child. I hope he's not a psycho murderer.
