Wiet coming back could make for some very interesting tv considering how she left, and especially for Noud and Nina. Actually the Sanders were greatly affected by Wiet's actions, so that could be a HUGE storyline for them all.

On December 31 Tim meets a nice girl and she likes him right away. That could be Wiet. They said she was coming back in January but December 31 is close enough.  And Wiet obviously has a history with the Bouwhuises as well. |

I think Wiet is someone who falls in love very easily. I don't think the writers should change her character too much. Wiet will have to learn how not to obsess over a guy she likes. Right now Tim's story is with Rikki. I think they might only use Tim to re-introduce Wiet. Or the girl from the spoiler isn't Wiet at all. |

Christmas in Meerdijk!  'The most wonderful time of the year' is coming. But it's not the happiest time for all residents of Meerdijk. Nina is torn. She's pregnant with Mike's baby but is keeping this from both Noud and Mike. Who does her heart really belong to and who is she going to choose in the end? The father of her child or the prince on the white horse? Maxime is happy because Nina confided in her about her pregnancy before her own mother. Lorena is busy with the renovation of hotel De Rozenboom and despite that the work is not done yet, she decides to go through with the festive opening. She invites singer Marike Jager for a performance. Mike is furious and sabotages the work Noud has done for the hotel. Rikki is in love with Tim, the half-brother of her boyfriend Sjoerd, but she doesn't want to give in to her feelings. Eventually it does lead to that long-awaited kiss at hotel De Rozenboom. When Sjoerd is suddenly knocking on their door, they flee through the window onto the scaffold. They're very relieved when Sjoerd leaves so they can come back inside again. A few seconds later the scaffold collapses and this has serious consequences. Who's going to be the victim of this ill-advised action? The Bouwhuis family is reunited and celebrates Christmas together, which makes Bianca very happy. In the Sanders family the tension is palpable because of Maxime and Maarten. And Bing starts with an intense treatment as preparation for the stem cell transplantation. Aysen doesn't leave his bedside. |

I am really bored at not seeing much of Lucas. I get the feeling that Edwin was killed off to get rid of the "gay" love scenes. Will they ever give him a boyfriend again or are we back to the stand by of one night stands only.

I can't do anything about what you feel... But if they killed off Edwin to get rid of the gay love scenes it would make absolutely NO sense to introduce Bilal and give him two love scenes with Lucas (and several kisses). Right now Lucas has a more supporting role but this happens with all characters from time to time. It's just the way it is. I'm convinced the writers will give Lucas his own story again. With Bilal or with someone else. And even though Lucas has a supporting role at the moment, you can't say we don't see much of him. He still appears regularly.

Sorry Mark, just miss those days of two gay partners in love. And yes I remember Bilal but that lasted more like a quick fling than relationship development. I just would rather see his growth and happiness. I do love the show but I will say Nina drives me a little crazy. I don't do well with adults that are in permanent need of coddling. I am all in for caring for a person and being there for them but man the writers sure do make her whiny a lot. BTW you are awesome for all the work you do. I think YouTube needs an award show for the using heroes who share the stories and translate the for the world to see. Thank you. :-)

All I wanted to say is that all characters go through periods where they don't have a story line of their own. This is not something that only happens to Lucas. It's also not because they don't want intimacy between two men because then they would have never done the Bilal story. Because while it didn't last very long, there was plenty of intimacy. And Bilal left because I think Sinan had other projects to do. But I think he might be back before the end of the season. Some time ago Sinan tweeted about Bilal: "I can't say much about GTST. What I can say is that Bilal is definitely not dead...  So... exciting!" |

I am glad that Bilal will be back. I would venture try will give a temp lover to Lucas and Bilal will want him back. Plus I saw a clip of Bilal from a movie he was in on a raft with 2 other guys. Wow!

The television show Life4You is celebrating it's 500th episode today. They're doing that by handing out awards. Ferry was nominated in the category 'New BFF' and he won. After that he was interviewed and Ferry hinted at a new romance for Lucas. There's definitely going to be a new story for Lucas and I think we can assume it involves a love interest. Whether it's Bilal or someone new, I don't know. But it's good news either way.

Is there any way we might know what Ferry said exactly, and if you had to guess, when do you think his new story would start on the show?
I actually hope it's another man other than Bilal, I thought Ferry and Sinan worked strongly together as actors, but I'd love Lucas to have magic with someone again after Edwin, and that there be a very different dynamic than all the closeted, aggressive, Lucas-the-chaser drama. Like someone much older, even like a Ludo-type, who's somewhat of a darker character and has a lot more scope than just the romance.
Ha, I'm probably asking for a lot, but it's just an idea. I hope they have something really different in store.
And I wonder if Bilal might still turn up for something of a triangle. It could get interesting! I've missed having a Lucas story to be passionate about.

I'm having so much fun there. I've been on the show for about 3,5 years now. Every day is still like a party. And soon I'm going to get a great story line again. They told me about it three weeks ago. Interviewer: Can you give us a hint? Ferry: Well, it's been a while since Lucas had a love interest. I thought that was too bad myself as well. So maybe that's coming soon again. Today is their first day back after the Christmas break. I think Ferry is probably going to start filming it this month. Perhaps this week already. Then it's probably going to start airing in March. I think before that Lucas will be part of the 'Wiet returns' story. She was his friend but she put him in that coma. So I'm sure there's going to be drama. |

Yup, so I'm properly pulled back into the show now at this point.
Naturally I was quite sick of Wiet by the wedding, but I'm plenty interested in her return and everything that'll stir up. A lot more than in Nina's triangle and pregnancy drama. And then it'll go on to Lucas' new story. So good.

In another interview Ferry hinted at it being different than what happened before (he mentioned that Lucas had to drag both Edwin and Bilal out of the closet). Nothing has been confirmed yet, but I think this new guy might be out already.

I really hope so Mark. I think the love interest and the story he makes needs to be really different this time. Lucas can only have so many closet romances right after each other.
And we see Lucas meeting and going off with out guy extras all the time, so I'm excited to hear news of how else this develops, what the drama of the relationship will then be and how much a part of the ensemble this love interest is.
