I'm getting more and more excited as well. So glad I'm able to be at the GTST Live event on Saturday. Last year was a lot of fun. Being able to watch the season premiere 9 days before its official broadcast is great. And especially on a big screen.

Mark van Eeuwen (Jack) is leaving GTST. Next week he's going to film his last scenes that will air in November. I love Jack so this doesn't make me happy. But the first thing that did come to my mind is that this might make some room for Bilal to be a permanent character in Jack's place.

Didn't they kill off Edwin in large part to avoid the restrictions of having two gay male characters the same age on the show? There's nobody else to pair them up with except each other. I think that when Bilal's coming out story is over, the writers will be finished with him. |

Nobody ever said that was the reason they killed him off. Personally I think they killed him off to give Anton and Bianca (and Lucas) an extremely dramatic story. There were still a lot of story possibilities with Lucas and Edwin so I don't think that was the reason.

I personally think it was a big part of the reason. I even think Edwin was always intended to go away one way or another so that they could have a free hand with Lucas.

The spoiler about Lucas is not surprising. For once i will be glad if Lucas stays away from Bilal, but knowing him, that seems very unlikely

I hope Lucas stays VERY CLOSE to Bilal. Like right up on him. They are beautiful and fiery together. The push pull will be delicious. Both very strong personalities. I can't wait to see how it unfolds.  |

Being mandhandle is not a problem for Lucas, Edwin did exactly the same. I don't know why Lucas is not getting martial arts classes, it's obvious that he needs it |

I find Lucas very annoying at times, but I don't hate the character. |

It kind of sounds like Anton is Tim's father. That fits my theory that Tim is meant as Edwin's replacement for the Bouwhuis family. But somehow there appears to be a connection to the Sanders as well. Hmm...
The Lucas-Bilal-Nuran thing is the standard gay guy wants to hide behind marriage scenario. Sadly, I've seen this scenario play out in real life more than once.

The first episode of the season makes it very clear that Tim is Anton's son. In the app we've also seen Tim's grandmother. Tim told her about his plans and she wanted him to leave all of that alone. Obviously Tim didn't listen to his grandmother. The actress playing Tim's grandmother appeared on the show before in May 2011 as Julia van Wieringen. I'm not completely sure, but I believe she was playing Maxime's adoptive aunt. This doesn't have to mean anything. It has happened before that actors have played different roles on the show. But the name of Tim's mother is also Julia. Coincidence or...? I thought that scene where Tim went to the Sanders was interesting. He said Lucas didn't tell him his aunt Maxime was also living there with them.

I think it is more than a coincidence, but Maxime's adoptive aunt? So Tim wouldn't have a blood connection to the Sanders, I guess.

Well I think we'll find out soon enough. Mark how old is Tim? Do we know? Is he older than Edwin was?
I like the idea of Anton having another son, I'm just sad too because of Edwin.
This will definitely bring the drama for the family in a lot of different ways.
Is Tim the product of cheating? Is he from another marriage? Did Anton know he had another son out there? Will Bianca and Sjoerd even be able to deal with it?
So many questions.
I will miss broody Jack!!! I like Sjors having at least one sibling around. She always seems so lonely even when she has a boyfriend/husband. She really seemed to blossom having Jack and Wiet. She doesn't really have any girlfriends to hang with anymore.

Tim wrote in his notebook next to Edwin's obituary that Edwin was the same age as him. It also looks like Anton knew about it all this time. Tim found a letter adressed to his mother where 'someone' offers to pay a monthly amount of money for her and the baby.
