A teaser for the beginning of the new season. This one is centered around the new director, Enrique Lubián, played by Fernando Andina: First the new director introduces himself to the faculty, then the incident with Yoli and her thong, then Román accidentally spills a drink on the director and says, "I am sorry, man". Enrique expels him for one week. He then tells Olimpia (?) "This is discipline." ;D PS: Antena 3 is already airing this teaser, but no official announcement yet as to the date when the season starts.

Posted today by the Frentelatele blog, an interview with Enrique Arce (Arturo), probably made during the press gathering from a few days ago: www.frentelatele.com/Antena-3/Series/Primer-time/Enrique-Arce-Mi-personaje-estara-enfrentado-con-Enrique-el-nuevo-director.htmlBeside many interesting things about his earlier career (he compares FoQ with its predecessor, Compañeros, in which he already played a teacher), his personal history and acting technique, there is some relevant info: - Arturo has now been appointed "head of studies" at the school, so he'll replace Clara in that position. He remains biology teacher and the school doctor. - The matter of Arturo's past is now closed, after all that came out last year about his wife's cancer and her death. - He's still in a relationship with Marina, even though she no longer works at the Zurbarán. - Arturo's part will have less to do this season with being a doctor than in Season 6 (David's HIV scare and Teresa asking for a day-after pill); he'll be mostly seen as head of studies and will have a major face-off with Fernando Andina's Enrique, the new director. - As head of studies, and a friendlier person than Enrique, Arturo will be closer to the student body; he'll have a nice interaction with Yoli (maybe helping her in her confrontation with Enrique?). - Finally, I don't know if it's a typo or a major spoiler, but in his first answer, Enrique Arce says that Arturo "ends up being the director of the school". If it is a spoiler, then it means Enrique is headed for defeat. PS: after the summary they put online last Wednesday, it's likely laescenacool.com will be posting over the next few days/weeks the interviews they had with individual cast members, among them Javier Calvo.

The season premiere is drawing ever closer and now, it's been announced the first FoQ videochat for this year will take place on Friday, April 29, at 18:00, with Àlex Batllori (Álvaro). This should be four or five days before season 7 has its début on Antena 3.

Meanwhile, Javier Calvo has been busy on Twitter again. Yesterday Monday April 18, he was part of a location shoot at night, for what he described as a thrilling ( trepidante) sequence, in some "remote" part of the city. Not so remote, however, that it didn't attract a crowd of onlookers. It seems Javier took a fall with everybody watching... And today, Javier Calvo Sr., Javier Calvo Jr. and Javier Quintas have all been twittering from the set. It's supposed to be the next to last day of production on set for chapter 74 (7x04). After that a four-day break (it's Semana santa), then there will be little left to shoot to end that chapter. First there was a "tense" sequence involving Alma and Teresa outside the art room, "a face-off of wild she-cats", aka a catfight, I guess. ;D Then here's a very nice photo tweeted by Javi of cast members rehearsing their lines with the director. PS: Úrsula added this great comment to the picture: "Well, I haven't been getting much of a storyline these days... how weird is that?" Let me add the historical drama series she'd joined when she left FoQ, 14 de abril. La República, just ended its first season (12 chapters) on TVE yesteday and it has been very successful.

Sooo, the shooting day is not yet over but Javier Quintas took some time off one hour ago to respond to enquiries from a poster at the Spanish formulatv.com forum, who was complaining about the "spoilers" being spread by that "ZERO credibility" guy I talked about the other day. This is what he wrote:
"Well, I insist, don't pay attention to anything that may say those who want to ruin the coming surprises for you. Many things are going to happen. And I, who do know what will happen, not that idiot who craves to be noticed on your forum, I do not intend to tell you anything, out of respect to you and to the show, because if we make the efforts we do, it's to surprise you, not so that an ignoramus who wishes to become famous on a forum should kill the show. So leave those idiots alone, watch the show and enjoy it; and spectacular things are going to happen to Alma and I assure you Fer is not leaving in chapter 75, you'll see, and I would tell you to ignore those spreaders of rumors and "spoilers", leave them alone on the forum, they only deserve our contempt, for thus disrespecting our work and your desire to find out what happens to the characters in due time. I am really very angry at such stupidity and this desire to shine at the expense of others. And I won't bother logging in to the forum, he doesn't deserve a response from my part, nor from yours. Let yourselves be surprised."

So today is another busy day for Javier Quintas and his team. They must have ended work around midnight yesterday and have been back to it on the set since early morning. At first it was a number of comedy sequences at Verónica's flat with the foursome of teachers. Here is a nice picture to reflect this: and then this afternoon a couple of sequences in the school library with all the students. This is still going on right now, so let's have a few Fervid pics, shall we?: ("Who wants chips?" as Edwin Bouwhuis once famously said) Want more chips, probably ;D yfrog.com/h8fk1yfjrehearsing in the library before shooting a scene (can't seem to embed this one, sorry)

Cast and crew are taking a break from production work on chapter 74 (7x04), starting today and probably until Tuesday. But Antena 3 has just started airing yet another teaser, a sexy one ;D, about Teresa's new "bad girl" role:
I already translated Teresa's voiceover about still waters running deep. This is followed by what might be Verónica's voice (unless it's Alma) telling Teresa, "Can we know what's going on with you? this is not like you".

Director Javier Quintas took advantage of his first day off to write and post a long rebuke to that ZERO credibility guy, over on the formulatv.com forum. It's there: www.formulatv.com/series/fisica-o-quimica/foros/4598/3/fan-forever-deja-ya-de-mentir-y-vete-del-foro-todo-lo-que-ha-dicho-es-falso-la-verdad-adentro/#e50It's a bit long, and mostly NOT about spoilers, so I'll see if I do more over the weekend with it. But there are a number of things well worth noting: - he reminds us that he is one of three directors who alternate, within Ida y vuelta, to produce the new season; he's been working as a director for FoQ since Season 1, so he's one of six or seven people left who've been with the project since the beginning and so know "the baby" best; - as he did earlier via Twitter, he expressed his frustration at the disrespect of so-called insiders who want to spoil the fun of viewers and fans by spreading rumors; not only is he contractually forbidden to leak anything, but it is essential for viewers to let themselves be taken and surprised by the twists of the story, since that's how the whole thing has been conceived; He goes on: " I haven't said that any one thing will happen or will not happen. I've said it's going to be an intense new season, that spectacular, very spectacular, things will happen to all the characters. That there are changes in the show, in all aspects of the show. That we like this new season very very much, that it's gonna be great and it's gonna be awful, but that we will keep being moved." After emphasizing how important it is for viewers not to be influenced by pre-conceived ideas as they begin to watch, he continues: " The only thing I have revealed, because it's the only thing I could reveal [to give the lie to that guy] is that Fer doesn't leave in chapter 75. And as I said, huge things are going to happen in this season, one/some of them if you knew out of context, you'd find unbelievable/implausible. But rest assured we have meant, very seriously (and I hope we have succeeded, as I think we usually do), to preserve consistency and credibility, not forgetting that this is fiction, which allows for licence." OK, that's probably it until next week. ;D

For today, a set of spoilers that comes from the latest issue of Top Music & Cine, a popular teen magazine. This probably has a semi-official status: i.e. reliable overall, but some details may be off. I am translating a summary made by a poster on the formulatv.com forum (and trying to make sense of bits which are probably mistaken).
The bad guys:
- Jon: Last season's fall was just a big scare. But it's had consequences. Jon is still in his wheelchair and his temper has taken a turn for the worse. He turns against everybody, and particularly against Salva. He'll become friends with Álvaro.
- Teresa: Her first appearance this season will leave everybody shocked. She'll behave terribly with Alma and will become Daniela's ally. She'll have a secret love interest, but neither will want the affair to be public. As she is taken by surprise by her daughter's changed attitude, her mother won't know what to do.
- Daniela: She'll want to achieve all her goals, and in order to do so, she'll become an ally of the new director, to enforce a change in the school's discipline. She'll have a catfight with Alma in chapter 72 (7x02). She's no longer involved with Jon or Salva but she'll be more supportive of the latter.
- Álvaro: Until now, he'd been evil /wicked more in thoughts than in deeds. He becomes friends with Jon and the two have a competition as to who can be worse and the bigger troublemaker. He'll have a breakdown because at home he's still covering up and playing the good son who's subservient to his father.
The good guys:
- Fer + David: They are sharing a flat, and that's not without problems because living together is not easy. Fer is still attending the Zurbarán as a free student/auditor, and he'll feel some jealousy. They'll have problems due to the appearance of David's ex, Susana. Another student from the school will come to stay in their flat.
- Alma: She's become good. She'll have very bad relations with Teresa. And something very powerful will happen that will have a lasting impact. At first, she isn't involved in romance, but later there may be something (again) with Álvaro.
- Yoli: Yoli wants to be elected a students' delegate and she will run against Daniela in the election. So there'll be a lot of storyline with her, all negative. She's very good friends with Alma, David, Fer, Román and Salva. For a love interest, there'll be a boy later on, but it won't be Román.
- Román: he switches to the good side, he'll make a clean start of it, and will become more social. During the early chapters, he'll be living in Clara's house, But then he has to find another place to stay and he'll start dealing drugs to make money.
- Salva: he'll suffer a lot. The love triangle of Jon, Salva and Daniela is gone. Fer, David and Yoli will stand by his side. Later in the season, he'll have a romance with Yoli who will help him overcome what Jon made him go through.
PS: I'll keep up with corrections and new elements to try and provide a more accurate version.

Other than that, since today is an ordinary workday in Spain, it seems there's a location shoot scheduled for later, which will take place in the same remote suburban neighborhood where they had a night shoot last week. One of Javier Calvo's followers on Twitter who happens to live there says it looks like it will be an incredible sequence. Last week, the same fellow mentioned some kind of action sequence with riot police involved ;D: maybe this has to do with Román's illegal activities we've just learned about. I wonder if that area is supposed to be where David & Fer's flat is located.
PS: nothing from Javier Quintas' account so far.

It's very late, but it appears that after the location shoot, both cast members and crew have gone back to the set, for more shooting. Àlex Batllori said they were scheduled to work until 3:00 a.m. From Sabrina Garciarena's Twitter account, ca. 1:00 a.m.: and this one from Ana Milán who says it will be "an emotional moment in FoQ!"

Here's a picture from yesterday night's location shoot. I can only embed a thumbnail Here's the link to the full-size photo: twitpic.com/4pljp6The little boy is the brother of that follower of Javi's who happens to live nearby, and he apparently was used as an extra in the action sequence I mentioned earlier. And Javi's makeup suggests he was on the receiving end of that action sequence. Let's hope, not too badly. In other news, Javier Quintas was back on Twitter last night, after the shoot, and exchanged a couple of tweets with Javier Calvo about today's scheduled shoot, as it's supposed to be something big. We'll see if they tweet about it or not. PS: according to Andrea Duro, Season 7 of FoQ will start airing next Tuesday, May 3.

Finally, one tweet by Javier Quintas this afternoon about tonight's shoot: "Last day of shooting for ch. 74. Shooting evening and night, at the home of Fer/David. And it feels like it's the end of a stage. At least for me." So this comes after what he wrote to Javier Calvo last night: "You know. I think tomorrow begins a pretty hard stage in my life." Aaargh.

Again, the director's point of view as they are shooting now: So they are really having some kind of party at home, as you can see from the background.

Aaargh, meanwhile shooting has started again, and yes, the last sequence in the chapter, "una de las más bonitas sin duda" will be a love scene, "una secuencia de amor".
This is what Quintas tweeted exactly:
"How cool is the light in this house, with those flashes of neon, coming in through the window, marking the backgrounds in this love sequence.... It's all been like a dream."

OK, after a little interruption, let's go back to this final shoot for 7x04. There have been a number of rather intriguing tweets by Quintas just after the two I posted last, about the love scene. Here they are:
In response to the lady who runs the javiercalvoonline blog, and wanted to know what it's like to work with Javier Calvo, Quintas answered: "Work with Javi ? Funny, moving, surprising, pleasing, spellbinding, instructive, stuff to make you fall in love." Then a bit later: "To make an actor sad who has to cry and tells you he has a blockage, to make him cry so that the sequence works... it's very easy when you know him as well as I know Javi. But my heart broke when I saw him cry. We are sensitive." Then in response to Jonathan: "Here we are in a cold night, lost in a neighborhood of Madrid, more sad..." "What a terrible time we're having, and at the same time, what a great time! That's the thing about our work, it's a roller coaster of emotions" "And now for the final shot in this sequence, and in this chapter, a steadicam shot, very beautiful and very sad."
But that was not the last thing they shot in "this very intense day", after that there was a comedy sequence with Nasser and Javi, smoking (pot, I suppose). So they end a very intense day with a laugh thanks to Nasser. Sometime before 2:00 a.m., "end of the day, end of the chapter, and end of a stage. A good chapter and a great day. Thank you all."
Then Javier Calvo tweeted that Quintas "is and will be not just a great director, but a teacher and a friend. Today, I have learnt so much thanks to him. Thank you, thank you, thank you." Quintas answered: "Thanks to you, my friend. I've learned from you every day of these past three years. And most of all, you've given me so much. You're theater/comedy and I love you." Javi: "I'm theater/comedy and how you make me cry. I love you too." Quintas: LOL, and you make me cry. I wait for you in front of my camera. Kisses." And to a follower who thought this was Quintas' farewell to the show, he answered "No, don't worry. Not today, at least". He added: "Calm down. Nobody is leaving. At least not today."
PS: we've also learned that shooting has already started on chapter 75 (7x05), obviously under another director, so that Àlex Batllori was also working tonight with similarly long hours. This means that it is quite possible that some of the work Javier did on Monday (and possibly Monday last week too) was in fact for the following chapter.
