Hey everybody! Wow, thanks Carmela for putting all the info here! I must say that I prefer our Berny without the moustache and so happy to hear that the opening night went well for Molt soroll per no res. I think it was shot on the same day and that explains why he isn't in the other photo as well. And I agree with you. I'd die to know what the reason for his dismissal was...news about a new project would be cool! Pity, I can't come and rewatch the play. It was so AMAZING in Girona and I bet it won't be any less funny in Barcelona! Will you go and watch it again Carmela? So about FoQ...Let's see what hapens this season...All the actors say that it is going to be the best season yet...You can always say that...Hm...Since they don't show it in "Pre-Airing"...you think they make it available for us after the airing? Then I would have the chance to watch it on Fridays instead. And now that Vampire Diaries is going into a loooooooooooong break it would be great having another show that I can watch...meanwhile practising a forgein language I'm still dying to get some news about BCN-ciutat neutral...I know we will have to wait until fall to watch it, but I want a new appetizer Hugs to everybody, Patty

Patty, Bernatfan, we have to be patient and wait until fall to see the series. Meanwile, there are two videos that shaw Bernat's happiness with his acting. The first one is the cultural TV show Escenaris. They shot the report during the rehearses of Molt soroll per res (Much ado about nothing) past Jaunary, before its opening in the Nau Ivanow art center. The report about this play appears at the begining. In it, Maria Ibars explains how she and the other actres-producer, Annabel Castan, as Les Antonietes, are performing several plays during 4 years, and how, after doing another play, they thought to do El Mal de la Joventut with Oriol Tarrason as the director and several young actors and actresses. And afterwards, they did a kind of company because the same people is doing another play, Molt soroll per no res. Bernat (dressed as the clown) says all the people in the company are now friends and this is very good because there is much trust and familiarity among them and they have a very great time. And that the director says when he was young, he had a music band for amusing and being together, and this is what people of the company feel. They act for people, but first they amuse themselfs acting. escenaris.minisites.xtvl.tv/After, in m. 13, there is an interview with Guillem Clua, scriptwriter and playwright, the author of the Iagomax story and one of the most talented youngs in Catalan culture. He has done two plays, Marbourg and Killer, with his main topics, illness, death, love/sex and the sacred. He's gay and very influenced by Tony Kushner (clearly, Marbourg is inspired in the world of Angels of America).. When Escenaris was shotting the report, Les Antonietes were at the same time shotting them. Now that Escenaris has aired this report, the company wanted to give them thanks trought this clip, that have also at the end images of the company watching it together (at the end we see Bernat with a red shirt that allways fits him great (with his black hair). His first image was shoted around Xmas. www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6y3medj_WcThe clip with only the report about Molt soroll... www.xiptv.cat/video/47257?a7eca8862593b770ffa28e0532e39562Patty, I still don't know when, but I will go to enjoy another time the play.

Hi! Very good opinions of the audience about Molt Soroll... in a web page of cheap tickets. And particularly, its performing by the director Oriol Tarrason and the acting of its main couple, Bernat Quintana (Benedict) and Barbara Roig (Beatrice). 10 points over 10! www.atrapalo.com/opiniones/entradas/molt-soroll-per-no-res_44196.htmlThe audience has a great time, as the actors, because this perfomance breaks "the 4th wall". In the Sala Muntaner, for example, when people enter in the theater, find the actors in the door applauding them (it's suposed it's the public who applaud the actors at the end of the play, and not the oposite!), and the actors are in the hall with the public, talking with them, doing several stuff, until the play begins and then they run to the stage.

Some great audience reviews there, and so cool how the company defies all the general theatre conventions so successfully, but I think if Bernat started speaking to me before the play, my less-than-fluent Catalan might desert me altogether! I wish I could see it again.

A short film started by Bernat, "Miércoles: Scorsese", that is now avaliable on internet. www.filmin.es/corto/miercoles-scorseseIt was shown past year in Spain, but was shoted several years ago, in the time of the "old" Max. And with Max clothes! It's about fathers and sons, and it's the story of Carlos (Bernat) whose dad Antonio is extremely ill with cancer. He goes at the High School, but cares his dad Mondays and Wednesdays, as he says talking with his mother by phone (she works outside home). And follows Antonio's routines. First, he prepares his breakfast. Dad isn't happy, is annoyed with his son because Carlos has given him juice with a lot of pulp, when he likes juice with only a bit of it. At the begining, Bernat's voice (over images of Carlos as a child and his dad) tells us that he fears to remember his father because we have all our live to know a person, but sometimes a day is enough to do it. And this day it's what the short talks about, one of the last days of his dad. And the end, Carlos says he remembers that day with a smile, because it's the day he really knew his dad. The name of the short, "Miércoles, Scorsese" (Wednesday, Scorsese), means that happens a Wednesday and one of the father's routines is seing Scorsese's movies in Wednesday. He loves movies and has lots of them. After breakfast, they began to watch the Scorsese movie because TV is very bad. When they're doing it, arrived Rincon, a dad's old friend. He insisted on taking Antonio to have lunch in a restaurant. Carlos doubts about if it's a good idea, and to tell it to his mother. But at the end, he agrees and goes with them. Rincon and Antonio talk mostly about dads and sons. (TO BE CONTINUED)

Good night everybody! Carmela, I'm so happy to read those positive reviews for the play, especially for the acting of Barbara and Bernat. For me they were also the "greatest", but that was already the same in the movie Just love the hate/love relationship they have, so many arguments... elcormaxfan, I really wish I could see it one more time as well. I'm still hoping that they decide to do a tour with Molt soroll, like they did with La Síndrome de Bucay...then I might have a chance to enjoy the play again *fingers crossed* So great we finally have a chance to watch that short movie with Bernat. He really changed a lot. And may I say that his taste in clothes off screen is way better than on screen...well, just my opinion Oh, one more thing elcormaxfan, my Catalan isn't fluent either, not at all. But I managed to talk a little with him without fainting or losing my voice LOL And in worst case I can still try it in German^^ Just great how the group Ju created is developing, right?! More than 80 members Well, sleep well guys!

Hi everybody!
Patty, you wrote your message very late. Have you been to the European Song Contest?
I hope too a tour for Molt soroll, they're almost fulling every night in Barcelona and I think they would do the same in all the towns of Catalonia.
As allways, I think the problem is money. The group Patty wrote about is a FB group created by a Iagomax fan, Ju: "Vull que Pep Guardiola vagi a veure "Molt soroll per no res" (I want Pep Guardiola to go watching "Much ado about nothing"). This is because the Antonietes said they cant pay the actors all what they deserve, and that for them would be a great reward to act for Pep Guardiola. So the Antonietes want Pep Guardiola to go watching the play. And they try to get it.
About Bernat's clothing, I agree. I don't know why in this short he wears the same Max clothings. Maybe because he plays too the good and responsible teen son. I think it was shoted in 2007, when Max was with Enric. In the short he's worried about his dad, as Max was also because his relationship with Enric wasn't working.
As he seems Max, it's strange to listen Rincón and Antonio's conversation before him. Rincón is a macho that has lived very much, has went with many women and has no family. He does sexist and homophobic comments. As when they go to the restaurant.
RINCÓN: To be f...t is fashioned, but if a son of mine is f...t, then I will disinherit him. ANTONIO: Really? You're a berk! RINCÓN: I would be bugged if a son of mine didn't want to have children. ANTONIO: What do you know about children, if you always goes from bed to bed, without any responsability! RINCON: You know I cant avoid it ANTONIO: Let's leave this trash, we're talking before my son.
It's nice the half smile of Carlos listening to his dad. In fact, I think Rincón is a man like the one in the Scorsese movie (I don't know which is it). And despite what he says later, he never will have a family. Antonio talks like one who really has children.
When they arrived to the restaurant, they went in for the back (kitchen) door, as in the movie, "to avoid queues". And when Carlos went to the W.C. they follow their conversation about fathers and sons.
They said Carlos is a good boy that luckyly seems to his mother. And Rincon remembered his father. When he began to earn much money, he said to his dad that he will give the house of his dreams. But his father said: "If you really wants make me happy, give me grandchildren". Also said that he's bored. Antonio said: "Without family you're nobody. When do you have sense?". And Rincón answers: "Without freedom you're nobody. And look to Anthony Quinn. I'm still in time to have children. I have some time". "Time!", answers Antonio. He feels he hasnt enough!
When Carlos comes back,Antonio smells what he was drinking and says that it remembers him when he drunk with Poitiers. "Sidney Poitiers?", Carlos asked surprised. And his dad explains how he met this actor when both wanted to have dinner in the same restaurant in Paris, but it was full. Antonio said the maitre who was that man, and the maitre apologized Sidney Poitiers and both had dinner together. Afterwards, they went walking to their hotels after having some drinks. Poitiers drank black beer as if he was an Irishman. Antonio was in the Waldorf, so Poitiers said: Your hotel is better than mine! And Antonio answered: Because you're black. And the actor laughed because he has a great sense of humor.
Then, Carlos asked what is what they're drinking, and Rincón answered "Absinthe". And that time ago they drank very much together.
Of course, absinthe is a very strong drink and cigars also weren't the best for Antonio's health. But clearly that day he had his last good lunch.
When they came back to home, Antonio wanted to continue watching the movie in the dining room, but when Carlos was moving the TV, he felt worst... and that was the end. Carlos had to take him to the bed.
It's a bittersweet film. Bernat expresses many things without words, as allways. And plays the same character of the good boy with a very beautiful smile but whose circunstances doesn't allow him to show it. That has to take over him things non usuals at his age.
Now, Bernat enjoys to play badasses as Freder or Benedict, and doing comedies as Much ado about nothing, when his face of good boy and his good acting made him to play in the past only dramas.

"Molt soroll per no res" today in the TV3 news show, "a fresh and talented perfomance", the voice in off says. With the actors applauding the audience. www.tv3.cat/videos/3533773/Un-Molt-soroll-per-res-entusiasta-a-la-MuntanerThey talk about the "joy de vivre" and how the audience is important in a play. And how the actors enjoy the play, before making enjoy the audience. The black T-shirt Bernat wears in the interview has the logo of the Teatre Lliure, where he played Les Tres Germanes.

Hi everybody! Carmela, eventually I didn't get the job for the ESC, but I watched the Eurovision Song Contest on TV and I liked the show very much. Well, Germany in 10th place isn't that bad. Actually I'm tired of Lena. We listen to hear songs here 24/7 and it's starting to get sooo boring. I don't like Lena's voice at all. I guess Spanish Song was just too happy. What do you think of the hosts? ;D Well, the reason is always money. They have to do a German version , then they get the money. Well, well, the thing with the crisis, right? I hope the actors and actresses get that special present from the Antonietes, but as we all know, the chances to get Pep are not that high. Still, good luck! Maybe he has time after Barcelona has won the Champions League About Much ado about nothing: Hope you get the chance to watch it again when you're in Barcelona. By the way the play is called Molt soroll per res, without the little word NO. I received a massage via facebook from Maria Ibars, telling that we should change the group's name. About the clothes in the short movie you may be right. Love that role of Carlos, the caring son and stuff like that...But I haven't watched the full thing yet, it stops for me when Carlos says he is going to the toilett. Don't know why. That's what I love about Bernat and his acting, that he can express so much without saying anything. Remember that TVmovie "Valeria" where he played Eduard, the boy who wouldn't speak after the accident. That was first time that I recognized Berny could do that soo well. I love the drama roles he played in the past, but I also loved to see him as the badass guy (first we got a taste of that in Putas, right?) ;P And the romantic Santi from "Bucay" was also really great. So now he gets to play Molt soroll, doing two "funny" roles and later on in the miniseries we have him "bittersweet" again. I think the mixture is just fine. But I love him in everything...well, not a secret I guess. Thanks for the link! Love that t-shirt . With moustache he looked soo different. And lovely Maria as beautiful as always:P One thing Carmela, just out of curiousity: In which part of Barcelona is the Sala Muntaner? Hugs to everyone!

Patty, the Sala Muntaner is at carrer Muntaner n. 4. it's near plaça Catalunya. And close to the plaça Universitat, i don't know if you saw the building of the old University. As a curious thing, the name of the street next to it is Sepúlveda, Beni's surname.

Hi everybody! Carmela, thanks for the info. Yes, first time I have been to Barcelona, where I met Beni in Sant Andreu , I saw the old University. Now I have an idea where it is. Moltíssimes gràcies ;D Thanks for another clip as well. The guy is so present right now LOL. But I really like him better without the beard. I don't know why... I always wonder why he always gets to talk in the interviews. I mean, okay, his role of Benedict is huge and he does it very well, but it would be interesting to listen to the others for a change. Like Barbara or Mireia...Or is it because the Antonietes get along with Bernat so well? joking...Well, he is really the Messi of the play... Can't wait to see some clips of his latest project. I hope he plays one of the bad guys^^ Romeo he did already before. hugs, Patty

Hi everybody! The latest project Patty has writen about, is Julieta & Romeo, a new perfomance of the Shakespeare's classic (yes, its original title is Romeo & Julieta!). It's going to be played in a great hall (almost 1700 people), the Teatre Coliseum in Barcelona. Bernat won't play the main male character, Romeo. But for him is a big jump to do that performance, because it's the greatest hall where he has acted until now ; and when he did Les Tres Germanes at the Teatre Lliure (700 people), he recongnized he had to learn to throw the voice to be listened in all the hall. The play will be performed in July 7 to 31, during the Barcelona Summer Festival (Grec 2011), and is a coproduction of the Festival and the Teatro Español of Madrid. This is also a good news, because it will be played in Madrid (still there isn't scheduled), and it will be the first time he acts on stage outside Catalonia and in Spanish. www.comedia.cat/es/comediateca/julieta-i-romeoOf course, the actor who plays Romeo it's who will be mainly discovered in Madrid. All of them are well known in Catalonia (many of them do TV and movies) but in Madrid the person best known of all them is the actress who plays Julieta, Carlota Olcina, who played Nuria (Clara's daughter and Max's sister, the pianist), who played Teresa in the TVE soap Amar en tiempos revueltos. The poster of the play suggests Michelangelo's Pietà. The Teatro Español is like the Teatre Lliure in Barcelona. Their owners are public foundations and they have two halls, for small or great perfomances, but non commercial ones. For them, theatre is art over all, and are looking for innovations and creation in the stage. And to aid young talented people's career. The youngest and more talented of the actors that take part in this new perfomance have some relationship with the Teatre Lliure, as it happens with Bernat (and this is the reason for having been so important to play Les Tres Germanes, despite he was only Soljoni). In fact, the 4 first actors of the cast have played lately in the Teatre Lliure, as its new harvest. The main actor, Marcel Borràs (Romeo), is well known in Catalonia. He's only 21 and acts in TV3 series and in theatre (Germanes, with Aina Clotet, Marc's sister). But the best of all is his really great talent, not only as actor, but also as the playwright of the plays he does with the actor at his side, Nao Albet, also 21. They're the "enfants terribles" of the Catalan stage (a kind of Rimbaud, as the French symbolist poet?). Past year I saw them in the Teatre Lliure, in a play with short stories by several authors about Spanish history in XX Century: "Dictadura, Transición, Democracia". Marcel i Nao (allways together) played as actors in all the stories, and of course in their's, "Democracia". They dared to play a story about a gay couple in the Basque Country in the years they were born, 1989-1990. Where and when there was full of violence, from the terrorists and the dirty war against them. Really bad years in that place, and with an atmosphere not very gay friendly. Now, they have just played also in the LLiure their own version of Hamlet. "Hamle.t 3". It's a very free version of the classic where they really play with the audience. Well, I haven't see them, but I red some reviews. And in some things it sounds like the Antonietes version of Much ado about nothing. For example, "Hamle.t 3" starts by its ending: the actors wait the applause of the audience. And of course, they haven't it and they argue (it's theatre into theatre and they also break the fourth wall). Then, we have a perfomance of "Julieta & Romeo" made by the people that are playing Shakespeare in a way so different. The director, Marc Martinez, did a course in the past year at the Shakespeare's festival of Mataró (near Barcelona, that also coproduces this perfomance) about different ways of being and act Julieta and Romeo. www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=122375164470428Martí Torras, who stages the play with Marc Martínez, has worked with Pau Miró (Búfals, Lleons, Girafes). The fourth young actor is Pol López, who has played very succesfully the young Bob in Mamet's "American Buffalo". After two succesful seasons in the Teatre Lliure, it's been playing in a tour around Catalonia and just has been played in Madrid in April. Among the other actors there are two well known by the followers of Max's story: Manel Barceló, that perhaps will play Capuletto, Julieta's father. He was Galiana in El Cor, the owner of the pizzeria where Max worked when he met Enric. And Ivan Morales, Pau Benjumea in El Cor. I think Bernat will play some of the young Capuletos or Montescos with the other young actors, Nao i Pol. I think they three will play Teobaldo the Capuleto and the two friends of Romeo. Nao perhaps will play the very friend of Romeo, Mercutio (well, it's what he should do, as real life?). And, Patty, the worst of all is Teobaldo (Bernat's character?). NEWS ABOUT LA VOZ DORMIDA Also there are some news about Marc's movie. After a tweet of Maestranza Films, the producer of the film, will be released in October 21th (if there aren't any problems).

Hi! The perfomances of Much ado about nothing ended past Sunday. I watched it past Friday another time, and well, as all the audience, we were applauded by the actors. It's great! The hall was completely full and of course I had a great time. As everybody. Now, Bernat is rehearsing Julieta & Romeo, and for this porpose, as one of the young gentlemen of Verona, he has to learn to use the sword and practice fencing. We can see him in FB's page of the play. www.facebook.com/media/albums/?id=169745173085662There are photos of the "Romeos" ("there are many Romeos, but only one Julieta") or "people from Verona", Bernat among them. The last pic of Romeos' album has the Verona's young gentlemen, the 4 most talented youngest men of the Catalan scene: From left to righ: Marcel Borràs (Romeo), Nao Albet (Mercutio), Pol Lopez (Teobaldo) and Bernat Quintana (Benvolio, Romeo's cousin). Bernat wears his black t-shirt with the Teatre Lliure's logo. As I wrote in the last message, that theater is very important for these 4 actors . He has his script in his hand. I think it's because he's the last one hired. As we can see in FB, the first readings of the play were made in past November- December, and Bernat wasn't there. I think he has been hired after playing Les Tres Germanes (and, of course, Molt soroll...). We still don't have the cast with the characters (only Carlota Olcina as Julieta; Marcel Borràs as Romeo and Nao Albet as Mercutio). But in this video about Marcel Borràs & Nao Albet, there are images of the rehearses of this play; how actors are learning fencing (m. 3.8, Bernat's back in first shot!). And also the scene of the fight of Mercutio with a man (played by Pol Lopez) that only could be Teobaldo. And then, Bernat seems to play a Romeo's relative. It's the begining of the Third Act, Mercutio and Teobaldo's death. www.tv3.cat/videos/3551930/Nao-Albet-i-Marcel-BorrasAs can be seen, Nao (20) & Marcel (21) allways do their plays (that they write, direct and act) in the Teatre Lliure. Nao said his granma was one of the people that founded this theater. Their families were artists and they played theater when they were children, 10 years ago. They first met in 2005, and created their first play when they were 16- 17. It's SO good to see Bernat acting with these two very talented young men!

Hi guys! What did I miss? Carmela, thanks a lot for the info on the other actors of Julieta y Romeo. So it really will do Bernat good to play with the Catalan Stars in theatre. Speaking of Julieta and Romeo, you know when you are going to watch the play? Any plans yet? If nothing goes wrong I will be in Barcelona in the middle of July, maybe even before that. But play starts at July 7th, right? Another thing, you think I should read the book first? I only know movies from Romeo and Juliet. I mean to understand what characters are in it, I know Marc M. will do a modern fresh version that will certainly be a lot different. Looks like the play is going to be great...Just saw the photos from it... I was really surprised that I got a friend invitation by the director, Marc Martínez himself You got one two? Or you invited him? Just curious...The more fans he gets... And on my birthday they are in Madrid, wow. So now FOQ is over for good? You liked how they ended the story for Vaquero and Sara? Now Marc is without any job? Or does he have another project? His best role is still IAGO Let's see what happens with him after La Voz Dormida.... bernatfan1, I agree with you, Carmela is very lucky to be so near by. I always have to take a plane to watch the stage plays, but it's so worth it. And travelling within the EU isn't any problem. I know so many people from the US that want to visit Barcelona and Berny. But he knows that he has fans all over the world. But one day you will see him, I'm sure of that Talking about Berny, here are some making off clips of BCN-ciutat neutral I've found on the internet. In case you haven't seen them yet, hope you enjoy (I did!) www.tv3.cat/videos/3489750/CIUTAT-NEUTRALa clip type making of /behind the special effects with the responsable person for it, executive producer, head of special effects. For me it was very interesting. Sure Eva uploads it with subtitles when she has time... www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6Hhleaql-0&feature=channel_video_titleAnother video of the characters from ciutat neutral. This time, Sebastian and Caterina, a farmer couple with a complicated story( if I understoof correctly) www.youtube.com/watch?v=-i8qldzN8jM&feature=relmfuVideo about the make up stuff they used on the different characters in the miniseries. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKl-uKBLD4I&NR=1Video about the hairdresser.... Love the set card of Karl and Gloria, they look so good there. Another thing I love is the bed scene with that unknown woman because it gives us a million ways to spectaculate what it could be and who...We already started that game, right Carmela?^^ And third thing you see is that Bernat/Karl didn't do the high jump in the water, but a stunt double. God bless him! Carmela sure you can explain more what happens in the videos and what they are talking. I don't have the time and you are always the one that enlights us all Hugs, Patty

Bernatfan, as Patty said, I hope you can come to Spain to see Bernat acting. Transoceanic flies are expensive, but a good play by Bernat deserves it. This Summer, he can be watched in Barcelona (Teatre Coliseum, July 7 to 31) or Madrid (Teatro Español, August 11 to September 4). Both in Spanish. In FB page of the play there are new pics, beautiful pics: Verona by Xavier Bassana. www.facebook.com/julieta.n.romeoOf course, love between Romeo and Julieta is the main topic. But in these pics we can see Bernat with Marcel Borràs (Romeo) in his character as his cousin, and with the very friend of him, Mercutio (Nao Albet). The pics in FB show that the director wants Mercutio's death to be very moving, in Romeo's arms. Their friendship is very important in this perfomance, and this is the reason for him to choice Marcel and Nao, they have the same feelings than their characters, perhaps a bromance. And well, Bernat is allways with them. I'm happy for him because these two great friends are people very talented. Patty, it would be great if we watch the play together, right? If we're in Barcelona the same days. Ithink it's a respectful version, but as they did in Much ado about nothing, there will have some changes, to simplefy it. There are only 13 actors and actresses! I think reading the play will be useful (you can do it in German) to understand it. Of course, I think the main scenes of the play will be respected (we can see Romeo and Julieta in a kind of structure instead of the famous balcony). I was also invited as a friend by Marc Martinez. He's very kind! It was a great surprise! )'m also glad because Ferran Carvajal (Narcís, Ivan's brother in El Cor, a great actor) and Alba Pujol (that played Irina in Les Tres Germanes) accepted me as a friend. Both are actors of the Teatre Lliure company. But now they're also very interested on the 15-M Moviment, whose yesterday's demostrations there were one million people in all Spain.

About BCN Ciutat Neutral and La Voz Dormida, I wonder how Bernat and Marc have different carreers, but they do the same things at the same time. Both are historical fictions, with the same problems of production and postproduction. And I think they will be released at the same time: I think the miniseries will be first aired around the National Day in Catalonia, September 11. And La Voz Dormida's team try to get the movie to be released in the San Sebastian Film Festival (September 16 to 24, when the second episode of the miniseries will be aired, if I'm right). The goal is to arrive in time to be chosen by the Spanish Cinema Academy to represent Spain for the Oscar to the best non English speaking movie (In competition with Almodovar's "La piel que habito", a terror movie started by Antonio Banderas). Benito Zambrano had to wait several years to shoot his movie. Something similar happened with BCN ciutat neutral, as it appears in this clip: www.tv3.cat/videos/3489750/CIUTAT-NEUTRALa clip type making of /behind the special effects with the responsable person for it, executive producer, head of special effects. For me it was very interesting. Sure Eva uploads it with subtitles when she has time... Yes, it's an interesant clip. 5 years passed until the series was shot. And the story has changed very much in that time, because more people entered in the project and wanted to modify the script (for exemple, the Portuguese producers). Also said they wanted a historic series, but with modern look, "as many American films". The cameraman talks about the camera used, how happy he's with it because he can get a look of a movie, when it's a TV series. Also is interesting to see the digital efects in the port of Barcelona: they can shoot an historical series in a place with only al old building.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6Hhleaql-0&feature=channel_video_titleAnother video of the characters from ciutat neutral. I don't have the time and you are always the one that enlights us all Hugs, Patty The first one is about the characters Sebastià and Caterina, a young couple of farmers (from El Prat, the town of the BCN airport; it means in Catalan "the meadow") that wanted to travel to Puerto Rico as emigrants. They have problems in their relationship despite they love each other very much: Caterina has had a very complicated family story (in the clip they don't say what is about), and they have a problem with the comunication inside the couple, and they go to America because Caterina thinks it would solve their problems. They have two little girls, 4 and 3 years old, Sebastià explain in the fire scene. The actress that plays Caterina says the movie talks about a group of young men and women that meet in the port of Barcelona (they cant take the ship because the war). And that have a solidarity among them, and the movie is the story of that solidarity. In the clips we can see them first in the port, around a fire; and after, taking diner together, despite they have a very different social origins.

HI! BERNAT AS BENVOLIO (Romeo's cousin): There are two clips about this "Julieta & Romeo", the second one, the Capuleto- Montesco's fights with swords, has the Prokofiev music. Very impresive! The first one is very moving, Juliet's feelings. vimeo.com/25706959vimeo.com/25927042There are two previews of the play. tomorrow and the day after, Wednesday, and opens Thursday 7. Until July 30 in Barcelona's Teatre Coliseum. And in Madrid's Teatro Español, from August 11 to September 4. This is the link with the Teatro Español web page of the play. It has several of the first photos of the rehearses. In some of them Bernat appears with the other two young Montescos (Romeo and Mercutio): www.teatroespanol.es/programacion_teatro_espanol_madrid/ficha/julieta---romeo?id_agenda=142 There are many photos in the FB page of the play: www.facebook.com/julieta.n.romeoThe Teatre Coliseum in Barcelona, now: And the cast is as I thougth: Carlota Olcina (Max's sister in El Cor)is Julieta; Marcel Borràs is Romeo; Nao Albet is Mercutio; Bernat Quintana is Benvolio; Manel Barceló (Galiana in El Cor) is Capulet; Carles Martínez (I think the greatest secondary actor of the Catalan stage) is Father Lorenzo; Pol López is Tibaldo; Ivan Morales (Pau in El Cor) is Paris; Amparo Fernández is Lady Capulet and Miriam Alamany is the nurse. Well, and three more actors that there isn't information about their characters. The other ones have a page in FB's Julieta & Romeo. This is Bernat's one: www.facebook.com/julieta.n.romeo#!/notes/julieta-romeo/bernat-quintana-es-benvolio/179123212147858

This morning, Julieta & Romeo has been presented to the media in a graveyard of Barcelona (like the one of Sant Andreu that appeared in El Cor). The director said that the two towers of the stage design represent a graveyard. That place is where the play happens. And all the people wear clothes in black and white because it represents the oponents. Julieta is the main character. Romeo is a teen that needs to grow up. In the poster of the play, they're represented as the Pietà of Michelangelo because Julieta loves Romeo as a son, and Romeo loves Julieta as his mother. There are much violence and "testosterone" in the play, that lasts almost 3 hours. The cast wears black and white clothes, as the play. Bernat, as allways, seems to be happy and now friend of the young men of Verona (Nao Albet and Pol López). I think he was the last one to be in this play, but my impression is, his character has become more important, with the fights and the "testosterone".

Yesterday I watched the play with Patty. It's an amazing perfomance of the Shakesperian tragedy, with a very simple stage design of two structures that are useful to represent all the places (Julieta's home, church, street, graveyard...). I enjoyed it very much, very good playing by very young actors. Very lively perfomance of fights, and people up and down the structures. Of course, young people are agile!nBernat as Belvolio matched the crown, and I like specially the acting of the actor that plays Mercutio, the one at Bernat's right in the graveyard pics. Well, Bernat is clever and he smiles hanging his arm over his shoulder. Nao Albet is wanderful! As Bernat, he plays a secondary character, but he's an artist! with only 20 years (and Bernat is "only" a good actor). I hope Bernat's relationship with the two actors-directors-playwrights to help him in his carreer as actor. Because both are very good. Bernat is allways nice. After the perfomance, we greeted him, and I toke a photo with Patty and him, he's allways smiling. We had a very good time. There are many pics of the play, and clips that can be found in Eva's web page of Bernat. In fact, the play begins with Prokofiev's Romeo & Juliet, and there is a clip of this perfomance with this music that starts when this page is opened: bernatquintana.es.tl/Inici.htmIf you go to the Julieta & Romeo page, you would listen the music twice! Because it has also that clip. bernatquintana.es.tl/Julieta-%26-Romeo.htmAt the end of the page, there are the clips. The last one has the begining of this perfomance with Prokofiev and the towers; and a scene of Bernat with Romeo, almost in the begining of the play (Romeo was then in love with another girl, Rosalina!)- Before this clip there are pics of the four young actors of the play. This is the clip (of the local TV net): www.xiptv.cat/video/52510?a7eca8862593b770ffa28e0532e39562ABOUT MARC. thanks to the Erika's japanese blog, we have a clip where he can be watched. He's with his girlfriend and family when his father, Dr. Buenaventura Clotet, was prized by a LGTB Catalan asociation for his work in the fight against AIDS: www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFwAIaT9YVg
