I'm kinda new here (been lurking around but never had the courage to write anything =/) and I was thrilled when I saw the trailer for Riverside! I knew there were going to come a new gay character on Riverside because the actor said so in his blog so I was hoping alot for a relationship between him and Kim and I'm glad that i looks like my hopes will come true. =)

What is Riverside?

This house could be an ordinary house in Hissingen, Gothenburg, but since a week ago, SVT's new series Riverside houses here.
The Boss (didn't get his name or what he does =P) explains:
"Riverside is another part of Andra Avenyn, it's a dramaseries that we only produce for SVT Play on the web and on Riverside we'll follow some characters that we recognize from Andra Avenyn and some new and it's mostly teenagers that we focus on and it will be about their lives and current events but also about sexuality and intrigues. It's the first time we do a series only for the web and that feel exciting and the reason is that Andra Avenyn was a success on the web and had a big audience that only watched on SVT Play so this is because of the big fan-group that followed the series there."

When they did the role composition they held a casting where SVT were looking for actors and in late may it were set that the following five people got the roles: Madeleine Martin, Shvan Aladin, Jonas Sundh, Anton Gyllensten, Frida Bagri and Jonas Bane and Ida Linnertorp which previously has had roles in Andra Avenyn which could be confusing.

Jonas Bane: ”No, I think it’s could give the character more depth, you get a insight of the characters private life on another way, who else we’re meeting except the people on Andra Avenyn, it could’t be very interesting for Andra Avenyn fans.”

The Boss: ”We produce Riverside differently, we publish one episode each day of the week and it’s a very small crew that produce this serie, on Andra Avenyn there’s 55-60 people who work with the production, but on Riverside it’s 10-12, (something I didn’t catch), where a few people does alot of things.”

On Munday to Saturday they’re publish short 5 minute episodes and on Sunday the viewers can watch every episode of the week in a 30 minute long episode. Riverside will continue until christmas, the serie will continue if it becomes a success. Watch the premier of Riverside Munday the 5th September on SVT Play.

Yeah, I thought it was a little wierd when he tried to bite Kim's neck and I'm curious to why he did it! He also seemed fascinated with the fact that Kim was a boxer and could break someone's nose thereby giving that person a nosebleed.
