Is Blas out as gay or is he bi or pan or just open to everything?
So Junior has two brothers or three that he lives with? If he's the baby of the family, I could see why he's being cowardly about being out about liking guys and a guy that his brothers are friends with.
I'm not surprised there is no kissing with the boys. I remember a few telenovela shows that had gay pairings and they barely had them interact with kissing. Lots of intense eye stares and close contact. But hardly any kissing and if they did it was quick and lacking. And throughout the relationship they would barely kiss like four times throughout the whole thing.

He later said he's into the person, not the gender or something like that (I don't think the subbed clips have got to that part yet). Like I said, I get why they are pairing him up with the girl, it's to make Junior jealous to finally act on his feelings, or at least admit his feelings to Blas. Even if it's not necessarily out of character if Blas is bi, I still wish they would have used a guy as that proxy to make him jealous. I really can't stand this. As I said, I just ff those scenes with Blas and that obnoxious girl. Really can't stand her. I get what you're saying, but Argentine telenovelas are different, or at least they used to be. They had no issue showing gay kissing, or even sex. With that said, I'm starting to suspect they might chicken out of showing anything, considering how long it takes for them to get together. The longer it takes, the less time they get together, besides, they already cut the kiss in the flashback. So yeah, a lot of staring, that's it. I had hopes for this soap as it's Argentine and as I said, those telenovelas used to be different, but seeing how this is developing I'm sadly not very hopeful  But I guess we'll see. I certainly hope I'm wrong. |

As I said before, the storyline is going pretty much as I expected to be honest. One thing about telenovelas is that they LOVE to build up the anticipation for their romances (like, they REALLY love the buildup). Simona being a show targeted to 14 year-old girls, I knew they wouldn’t show much PDA with the characters, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they choose for a kiss to happen when the storyline gets to its climax (making the kiss at the flashback something that would’ve spoiled that moment). Again, being a show for “tweens” it’s hard to know how far they’ll go with PDA, but the show seems pretty on board with the storyline and blasnior relationship seems to be catching on with fans, so I’m staying confident.

It's definitely hypocritical that we see other people kiss, for sure, but I was just saying that they do love a buildup for the BIG storylines though, and Junior and Blas are no exception. Just look at the show's MAIN CHARACTERS and big love triangle, Simona + Romeo + Dante HAVEN'T KISSED YET... I mean... they've been milking very single drop they can before any kiss! I'm talking about over 70 episodes of long stares and kisses getting interrupted before they actually touch lips LOL  Saying "the straight couples don't get this kind of build up" isn't really true in Simona's case... that's just what I've been saying. Both storylines are going as expected for these kind of shows... getting frustrated about the buildup is a losing battle  |

I knew they would show the flashback in full at some point... didn’t wanna get my hopes up but they did something similar with a previous flashback so I knew it could happen.
These two have such great chemistry and the “stolen” kiss was so cute.

I'm guessing from looking at the flashback, (since I don't speak Spanish) they both liked each other back then. But maybe weren't aware of it all, (least not on the level they are on now) but then they both got some liquid courage in them and Junior feeling cocky perhaps made the first move. Because there is so much chemistry and heat between them. Blas liked it (though I'm sure they both liked it) and perhaps wanted to see what it meant to look into it further, but it gave Junior more a WTF did I just do moment and he pushed it down and fled.
I'm not far on the Eng Sub episodes that are posted of their story. They have shown a lot of Junior processing and dealing with his feelings and emotions over what's going on with Blas. Have they really shown much of Blas dealing with his feelings and emotions for Junior. I have seen videos of his making out with some curly hair girl.
I'm guessing that Blas is the same age as Dante, which is a few years older than Junior. And that Junior is late teens/early twenties, since he mention his girlfriend is 18 years old I believe. I mean I don't really know the ages that people are suppose to be on the show. Is it just Junior and his two brothers in that big expensive house?

Blas is openly gay (or bi, as it turns out), so he didn't freak out. Junior on the other hand was closeted and confused when it happened. He obviously liked it, but at the same time got scared, so he avoided the subject and tried to overcompensate with his girlfriend after that. This story is about Junior's family (well, Simona is the main character, but Junior's family is part of the main cast too). Blas was introduced late, they had already aired more than 50 episodes when he showed up. I'd say he's more of a minor character compared to Junior. I don't know about their ages, bit I'm guessing you're spot on. Here is a description from one of the Blasnior Youtube account that post subbed clips: JUNIOR, like his older brothers DANTE and ROMEO, has been raised by his uncle DIEGO because when he was little their mother died and their father MAURO, who just returned from jail, abandoned them. I just watched the new episode (highlight to read): On the positive side, Blasnior got A LOT of screen time, maybe the most they've ever gotten in one single episode? The story is finally moving forward with Junior telling people, and with more people knowing. So yeah, the coming out aspect of this storyline is moving forward, I just wish I could say the same about Blasnior too, well.. I guess their story did move forward too, I just didn't get that kiss I wanted (seriously... how long are they gonna tease that? Will they wait until the final episode to let them kiss? FFS this is getting ridiculous), although I have to admit that Junior's flashbacks were so so so cute.
Anyways, A LOT happened in this episode. It seems like Blas is finally realizing he has feelings for Junior too. My Spanish is extremely limited, I'm just going off what I saw, with Blas looking at Junior while sleeping with so much fondness in his eyes, it was very cute. Then we have Blas cancelling a date with Ailin (not sure if he just cancelled it or ended it for good, my guess is that he didn't, because if he did she would have reacted differently imo). Then of course there's Junior making a ton of progress, it was very brave of him to tell Chipi (his ex), even though it seemed like she didn't take it well, I couldn't really tell (again, don't know much Spanish), but it seems like she made it about herself? Ugh, that was annoying. Then there's Junior's homophobic dad confronting Blas about making his son gay (again, ugh) and when he threw out the word "normal" aka Blas wasn't normal because he's queer, I seriously wanted to puke.
I'm so torn about this episode because I guess Junior is making progress with coming out (though some people, *cough* chipi and his dad *cough*) are not making it easy. And Blas and Junior are definitely getting closer, but they're still not together. When people were talking about the fact that we might get a kiss, I just knew it wouldn't happen. I personally felt it was too soon, and I figure they won't tease us like they did with the preview when it finally does happen, I think they want it to be a surprise. So yeah, I wasn't surprised that they didn't kiss, but I still feel kinda annoyed because of course I want them to kiss. Like.. making Junior have a fever was such a lame excuse for them not to kiss, but whatever. I guess I have to wait another month or two before they finally kiss, lol. I have a feeling we won't get that much screen time of them actually being a couple, it will happen right before the telenovela ends imo. I just hope we'll get a kiss sooner than that. Rant over.

Summary of the new episode courtesy of teamwinexo on Tumblr (highlight to read): so, first, jr’s dad threated blas and said stuff like “MY SON IS NORMAL” AND BLAS LOOKING AMAZINGLY MAD MY BOY WENT OFF AND TOLD HIM THAT HE WAS NORMAL AND THAT JUNIOR DIDN’T NEED “PROTECTION”, but junior interrumped them (and he noticed they were fightin’). junior told chipi that he is confused with a boy, she snapped and quoting “you were using me to clear up your sexuality” “you like a GUY WTFFFF” SO JUNIOR STARTED CRYING AND WENT TO BLAS HOUSE (STILL CRYING) AND HE ASKED BLAS QUOTING “DON’T ASK ME ANYTHING, JUST HUG ME” AND BLAS TOUCHED HIS HAIR AND RIUGIFG I DIED. Another episode and still NO kiss. This is getting ridiculous. It's taking forever. I might take another break, I simply don't have the patience for this. At this point we will get a kiss in the last episode and we will never see them be an actual couple. I prefer tv shows where they get together then drama, not drama then getting together. Whatever, I'm just gonna stop watching. I have better things to do with my time. I still like them, but the writers are idiots and wasting this whole storyline |

I, on the other hand, am enjoying the storyline more than I thought I would. As Junior have always been a smaller character, I thought his storyline wouldn't as much screen time as he's been getting lately. Aside from that, I see a lot of myself in him... it's been really easy to connect with his struggles when i was around his age.
